    This is our 2nd time to stay here in 12 months. We love the location and how easy it is to get around the riverwalk. The rooms are nice and clean, we really like everything about the hotel. My only hiccup was the breakfast. It closes at 10 and both Saturday & Sunday we got there at 9:40 there was barely any food on one side and we didn’t know there was food on the other side because the sign pointed to the right. We stood in line behind 2 people for 20 minutes trying to make waffles but the batter was to thick to drain so Saturday we didn't get waffles. Then Sunday the same thing happened but someone told us the batter was better on the other side. We went around and found there was a whole other side but they'd unplugged the waffle makers. There was a pile of sausage patties and scrambled eggs so I grabbed a plate and used the spatula to get the sausages but the attendant was starring at me in shock like I'd just jerked it away from her. I set it down and moved to the eggs and she said "thank you have a nice day" then I noticed she'd already taken the spatula from the eggs and realized why she was giving me a strange look for using it, apparently "thank you have a nice day meant, "you're not welcome here after waiting in line 20 minutes because it's 10:05". So I grabbed a plastic fork and got some eggs on my plate. I was really surprised the breakfast was such a fiasco because everything else with the hotel had been great, but the breakfast was definitely frustrating.

    The rooms were clean and spacious - breakfast offered everything basic that you could need and want. Some of the corridors had a very yucky smell, I guess due to humidity - and our aircon was outdated, it was a very loud, older model and it was either getting hot or freezing, it rarely held the temperature.

    I don’t actually know how the hotel was. Apparently there’s a basketball culture that we knew nothing about. We were stuck in traffic (me and three children) for 2 hours a mile from the hotel. Finally I had to get my kids somewhere so at 1am I started to search for a smaller city with an opening. It took 45 minutes. I got my kids to bed and got 5 hours of sleep myself. Then called the hotel. “per policy” my hotel was cancelled automatically at midnight due to no show. I was driving in traffic I neither expected nor could I navigate with my family. Calling the hotel during that stress didn’t even occur to me. They wouldn’t budge. Hotels.com staff tired as well. They cancelled all 3 nights and kept all of my money stating “policy”. All of this unfolded in front of the hotel. 0 cares given. We were 17 hrs from home, and out all of that money. The staff was extremely rude and short and acted like they couldn’t understand why I could not manage to call them in the chaos. The said it was my fault because I booked through this website they wouldn’t help.

    Well let’s start off we arrive at the to let them know we are there. Room wasn’t ready so we waiting no call no reassurance they were working on it so I go back at five let them know if been waiting two hours now. We ask for a key to access the pool since I had five kids with me eager to go to the pool and enjoy the river walk. Once we were at the pool my kids got metal shards stuck in their feet and hands even my two year old got stuck in the elbow. We informed the front desk and they acted like it was a non issue. So I’m very upset with our stay that we hoped would be beautiful exciting and fun turned to be annoyed and painful. They told me they would reimburse me points but at check out they said a manager had to approve them and haven’t called me yet.

    The pool was full of kids so we did not get to enjoy that. After the second day we asked for our room to be cleaned... no one came. Seen a lady in the hallway with a cart she did not speak well English so she didn't understand us. Breakfast was not filled right away. Only thing we liked was the location was fine.

    The hotel was great, staff was friendly, location close and convenient to the riverwalk and Historic Market. Only thing to realize is the neighboring buildings on each side are abandoned buildings. It’s not a deal breaker bc the hotel keeps their property maintained but can be an eye sore for some who have they windows face the abandoned buildings. That being said I would definitely rebook with them whenever I comeback to San Antonio

    My husband and I came here for my birthday and it was just an overall really great experience. The double breakfast bar was great with really awesome options. The rooms were clean and the entire hotel smelt wonderful and luxurious. The pool area was very relaxing, overall extremely great experience and would definitely come back and stay again.

    The facility was very nice.The rooms were very big and comfortable. The price was very high for 1 night, which didn't even include twenty four hours, came up to about twenty one dollars an hour. There should be a discount for Bexar county residents since we live in San Antonio, We just came downtown to enjoy the riverwalk.

    We had blood stains on the floor in our bathroom as soon as we walked in. The living area was not mopped. The lock on the door to the balcony was broken. They transferred us to another cleaner room without a balcony but refused to give us a discount, even though they have a sign at the front desk that states if we are not satisfied with the cleanliness, the night is on them. They only offered us 1000 honor points which is far from covering the cost of one night. We pre paid (mistake) for a balcony room and spent all 3 nights of our stay in a non balcony room.

    I was unaware until we arrived, but this property was under major construction during our stay. No pool either. Before reserving I called twice to ask about parking and got hung up on both times (disconnected). They only offer valet parking and it’s $70. Nearby self parking was $45 for 19 hours. If a hotel does not have parking they need to make it very clear or include cost of their parking in nightly rate. Also, no coffee in the lobby at 7:20am. Will not stay here again. Did not like how the room was laid out either.

    Perfect location! The river view balcony room was perfect! Rge second floor of the hotel has river view walk access. Or right outside the hotel to the right of the building is also Riverwalk access. The pool was amazing with loungers in the water. If you’re looking for a perfect abd cost effective hotel this is it!     We enjoyed our stay here. When we arrived, the toilet was constantly running and was loud but maintenance came to address within 15 minutes of calling downstairs. Breakfast was complimentary and had a variety of options. Nice spot on the riverwalk!

    The family really enjoyed our stay. Clean, comfortable room and friendly staff. The location was great—our dinner spot was within walking distance, which we rarely get to do and really enjoyed.     Do not look at the reference pictures for an idea of what this property looks like. The pool doesn’t have any trees just empty boxes that are covered terribly. The view from our window was of an abandoned run down factory. Staff was pretty nice for the most part. They mop at ridiculous times of day during high traffic times in the lobby. We almost fell multiple times. The breakfast was big and had many choices but was not good. The price we paid for this hotel was not worth it at all. I will never stay here again.

    Convenient. A short walk down to the Riverwalk from our room. Next time will request a room with a balcony. Good breakfast. The only thing we had an issue with was we like a softer bed. The second night we took the extra cover and added it over the mattress. Much better.

    No resolution. No sympathy. Good morning Ms. Almendarez We were told to direct our grievances to you about our experience at the Hampton. My husband and I booked our reservation via Expedia for the a night (March 27). Check in was easy and smooth. We were assigned Room 623, it was clean and comfortable. However when we turned on TV we could not watch anything as it was offline. We called front desk around 12 am and was told that no one could help at that time. I then went for a shower and waited and turned knob different angles and no hot water. So we went to sleep pretty late and were rudely awaken to loud door knocking. It took us a moment to realize it and Room 623 is a suite so it took my husband a few moments to reach the door as we were undressed and my husband is on a cast and requires his knee scooter to walk. When he verbally acknowledged them, the staff member stated they were there about the TV issue. However when my husband reached the door the staff member was gone. We got dressed, headed to the front desk and explained to Kevin what happened, he seemed flustered and didn't know what to say or do. My husband asked if he was going to do anything about it and that was he handed him your business card. The comment below is what submitted to Expedia and wanted to also share it with you.     At 5:50 I did not have a room available despite prepaying online months in advance and checking in time was 4:00. She said it had not been cleaned .The attendant didn’t even check to see if another room were available. She told me to wait and left. At the same time, I noticed several other people were checking in with no problem and even being offered complimentary water bottles and snacks. After seeing she was not coming back I asked the male attendant who immediately got me a room but didn’t offer any complimentaries. Despite the fact that I paid for my room to be available at 4 and it wasn’t that did not change the checkout time. Checkout is BEFORE 11 according to their written policy or you will be charged. We were able to call and ask to check out at 11:30 but the elevators were all being occupied by housekeeping and their carts. The housekeeping team did not even have the courtesy to let us pass. They told us to take the fire exit 5 floors down which takes you outside the building and you have to go around back inside. To top off at 10:50 housekeeping goes around knocking on every one’s door to see if they have left. This experience was not worthy of the price of the nights stay. I also found management unconcerned when I voiced my unsatisfaction. This hotel has two hotels in one the “Home” side and the “Hampton Inn” side their is a satisfaction guaranteed sign for the “Home” side but from my experience I don’t think this applies for the “Hampton Side”.

    Check in was at 3 pm. We showed up after 5pm and had to wait 40 min for a room. Half way through waiting asked for an update lady said she will ask her manager and never came back with any information. Wouldn’t be that big of a deal if it wasn’t for a fact that we had an event to go to and needed to get ready. Wait left us with no time to do that.

    The location is the best. I got a room with balcony and I had a wonderful view. Bad thing is my dad found a cockroach in our room, which it was a bad experience. Also, the elevator that takes guests from the river to the hotel didn’t work. My mom has problems with her leg so making her climb all those stairs was hard for her. In general it’s a good option but it can always improve those areas.

    This booking was a nightmare! We were 500 miles from home and literally had to cancel this and move motels mid stay!! Was not notified that their ‘parking’ only took small cars and got to the motel to park and was turned away stating a regular sized F250 was TOO BIG! Staff was incredibly rude and didn’t want to refund any of the stay price, even though their negligence caused it. Will not ever recommend this establishment to anyone.

    We’ve only stay here now. Convenient location there’s a bar in the corner. Across The Street has great drinks and great food. There’s also a great hotdog/bar at the corner around the block that has hotdog made out of Japanese milk bread amazing. I believe it’s called the Aztec bar. Always a great sleep here. Downfall is the $50+tax valet parking. Of course it’s not required for you to get it but unless you wanna walk a couple of blocks for parking it’s convenient for us because we enjoy staying here. The breakfast is really great if you’re an early bird if not, if you go closer to nine 10 o’clock, then you get whatever’s left over. Staff is great.

    My wife is disabled and we requested a tub so she may be able to bathe and also to soak her legs after a nice dinner. There was several guests wanting to speak to the manager and she awaited for about 45min and still no manager. We got to our assigned room and no tub, no balcony view to the river walk as stated, way too expensive and to mention also we were late to our special Valentine’s dinner that I had reserved for my wife and I and we had to reschedule and our drive to San Antonio was 6 1/2 hours very disappointed….

    I hate giving negative reviews, But…. The Room booked with Hotels.com was for 1 king bed suite with wet bay, but was not the room that we got. Had to go back down and ultimately was able to get a king size bed, maybe a suite but no wet bar and was definitely smaller than the one booked online. They also gave us one that had the most horrible view of a neglected crumbling building next door. Breakfast was also less than ideal. Sausage gravy was like water and barely tasted like sausage and scrambled eggs were so under cooked they would fall off the fork like watery mashed potatoes. I’ll leave the complaining there….. Staff was absolutely the nicest we’ve had in a long time and room was clean. Would definitely look for something else next time.

    When we arrived everything seemed fine, we went through the check in process, we were having trouble getting the card reader to work to do the incidental fee. Throughout this entire process there was no discussion of a room change until after they took the incidental fee. They blamed Expedia for overbooking the rooms. My wife and I were celebrating our 7 year anniversary. Instead of a king suite, we got 2 queens and not a suite. They said it was an upgrade because it had a balcony.. they said they would put us on a list if there was a king available the next day. Expedia blamed the hotel and the hotel blamed Expedia. Unfortunately the only people that suffered were me and my wife and we had booked 2 weeks in advance. There was never any follow up about the king bed suite, never a follow up from management to even apologize. To some people it’s not a big deal but it was the lack of care and accountability that really made it more frustrating. Expedia did give us a credit for our next stay, but what was supposed to be a special weekend started out extremely irritating.

    The delivery arrived late, charged more than the listed price, and did not include the full order. Despite raising the issue, it was never properly resolved. Even more concerning, a week later an additional $400 was charged to my credit card without authorization. It is unacceptable that a brand like Hilton would allow unverified or unethical businesses to advertise directly to guests. This creates a serious trust and safety issue. Guests should not have to worry about being scammed by services promoted within the hotel itself. I strongly urge management to review how these businesses are approved and to take responsibility for protecting their guests. Until this is addressed, I cannot recommend staying here.

    We like the hotel because the location and newly renovations. The room we stayed was spacious and the room layout is very modern. We love it! The only thing I think they can improve is the number of staff. There was only one person at the counter during peak check-in and checkout time. The line can be long as well as the wait time. I was first in line, but the lady was doing some other paperwork that I still waited a long time. They should have have added more staffs. Plus I did not feel I was welcomed when checking in. When I think about San Antonio I think people are friendly, but not in this hotel.

    We are very disappointed we checked in at 2:30 pm , and the room was not ready . We then came back at 5:00 pm and the room was still not ready , ghế view was ugly, and all I saw was the roofs of old mouldy buildings, we never be back again .     My stay was not very pleasant, room check in is scheduled for 4pm and I arrived at 5, room was still not available a they had to get me in a different room. Staff was not very helpful and we were told that valet was the way to go for someone that’s not from there. I get my vehicle back with a flat tire and no assistance from staff. I don’t understand how staff made it seem normal and natural to return vehicles damage. I will be getting in contact with management about this but overall very horrible experience.

    Just spent Christmas week here from 15 hours away. Flew in and with no rental car only needed a Lyft during one day of exploring. The hotel is in a great location and so many landmarks and attractions are very walkable. There are plenty of free activities as well if that's what you're looking for. Easy access to all of the riverwalk behind the hotel with infinite food and shopping options. Rooftop pool was so nice for afternoon breaks between morning and evening exploring. San Antonio Riverwalk is magical during Christmas. Skip the theme parks, come here and create your own magic. The city is giving and full of life. Bring some comfortable shoes and explore above street level and below. I can't recommend it enough.

    I took my 80 year old dad and mom for a quick trip before he starts his cancer treatment to see the lights. Their rooms toilet did not flush and he had to remove the lid to make it flush, the batteries of the remote had to be replaced. My room’s toilet seat fell off and we had to call someone to fix.     Property advertises valet parking, but when we arrived, we were told we had to park ourselves. I had to drive several blocks away and walk back to the hotel. When brought to the management attention, I was told that there was nothing they could do and would not compromise or compensate.

    The room was clean and the staff was great. At one point our card did not work went downstairs and the gentleman reactivated the card to get into room. The only hiccup which I believe is a third party was the valet. They took more than 25 minutes to retrieve our vehicle. Recommend to park across the street and you save $15 a night.

    Love the location as it along the riverwalk. Close to a lot of restaurants. Garage parking is just across the hotel. The free breakfast is great. First time occupying a 2 double deck queen beds and was able to accommodate 8 persons with 1 child. Will recommend this hotel!

    The pool area was quite small but clean and we enjoyed spending an afternoon relaxing there. They supply "tiny" towels so we took our room towels. The only reason I give a 3 star rating was the view....it was so bad we couldn't open the blinds, this was not good as we were staying 5 nights. Unfortunately there are 2 derelict buildings on the riverwalk and the room we had, 420 looked directly on the eyesore. So overall we are split on this hotel. Doubtful we would stay again as the view was really that bad so sadly overall the bad outweighed the good.

    To Breakfast was a better view. The rooms view sucked. The bathroom lacked a convenient electrical plug and the shower faucet came out in my hand when I was trying to turn it down to cooler. I almost boiled trying to get the handle back on and turn it down. That’s dangerous!

    Property was well maintained and great to stay at. The access to the Riverwalk was sceneic and at the perfect spot on the river! We enjoyed this outdoor walking for dining and walking every night. Parking added at least $70 per day with valet and tips. The building next door was old and abandoned and that was our view out or window. If you went out the front doors (not to the river) there was a decent amount of homeless people moving around all times of the day. But hotel staff was effective and very good to work with. Housekeeping was more then accommodating and out room and needs were alway met

    The location on the Riverwalk is great. It is a quiet segment but very convenient to everything. The room was decent but strangely configured. The couch was perpendicular to the tv, making watching a bit difficult and there was a desk in the way so a chair couldn’t be moved there. The shower didn’t work well. I think there was something wrong with it and the hot water knob had to be in a (very) different place each time. It was always a guess to find the hot water. Also, housekeeping came in the very late afternoon, when we were back getting ready to go out for the evening.

    Our room wasn’t ready at the 4:00 check-in time. The breakfast area tables were dirty and the food wasn’t replenished for the crowd of guests. We had to ask twice for a bottle in our room to be refilled. We had to make two calls because the TV wasn’t working and there was never any follow up by staff. The pool (which was originally a large draw for us) was always packed the small children and large flotation devices/toys. No room in the pool for adult guests. We checked on three separate occasions and it was always the same. Room was nice and bedding was lovely, but overall disappointing.

    It was an absolute delight. We got one of the bigger room with the sofa couch. The view from our window faced the pool which was overlooking the river. We needed an extra set of pillows and comfort and called down, they had it up in less than ten minutes. The front desk person, Kevin who helped us, was super nice and cute.

    My experience started well but the valet service they have was terrible. I paid for a two night stay and my valet ticket was closed out. The valet manager didn't know how to help me. He had to go across the other hotel to get help from the other valet manager. I had to pay for another night for them to get my car. It was a terrible experience. I had to check out from the hotel one night early. I wish the Hotel can have a say so since that speaks on them as well.

    When booking we were not aware that there was only valet or self parking in a nearby garage. Valet takes forever to bring your car and parking at the near by garage is inconvenient when leaving. When we had breakfast chairs were peeled and fruit was not fresh looked days old. Carpet feels old and musty.not worth it

    Property was within walking distance of many restaurants and bars. Close to alamo and mall. Loved thatvthis hotel provided full size shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and lotions. My only bad comment is that the ice storage was filty and the room had no full size mirror. The balcony door was also extremely hard to close.

    My family had a wonderful time visiting San Antonio. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. My kids loved the pool! One night my daughter scrapped her toe at the pool, and I had not packed a first aid kit. The front desk was so nice and had some bandaids, so we were able to get her all fixed up. Housekeeping came daily, which was VERY nice. We stayed for 3 nights, check in and check out was a breeze. Breakfast was great. Location was very convenient and walking to the Alamo and other Riverwalk attractions was only about 5-10 min walk. Chick fil a right across the street for my picky eater was awesome! Very clean rooms, plenty of towels, and the front desk even provides bottled water and a snack daily. Thank you for your hospitality! We will definitely stay here again next time we visit!

    I absolutely loved the spacious room layout. I was away for business but this room would have been great to accommodate my family of 4. I love the details of the room: extra large closet (mirrored 2 side closet!), large "kitchen" area (love the counter space!), pull out sofa bed, ironing board, appreciated the separated sink and shower area (time saver for multiple showers); useable shelves under the sink, multiple USB outlets and large desk area! Great room for families and business trips! The dining area looks out over the river walk. I would highly recommend. Also, very friendly, helpful service!

    The valet attendants weren’t eager to help with the exception of one. They weren’t friendly either. No one explained who would be helping me next while I just stood there and there was four employees behind the desk. She needed up assisting me with our check-in. The breakfast only had pull pork as a meat option and it looked gross. The gnats attacked our breakfast to the point we had to throw most of it away.

    Property was fine. It was clean, the room was keep clean, and the complimentary breakfast was ok. The only thing I did not like was that there wasnt any complimentary parking at this location. When I booked it, the information on parking didn't show. Parking was over $60 each day. This is too expensive and the staff didn't help explain how the parking structure accross the street offered discounted parking and how it worked so we overpaid also.
