Breakfast was the usual "free" fare: sausage, crumbly eggs, waffles, breads, cereal, etc. I didnt use their parking, which was by valet only. I parked elsewhere, which was cheaper and offered self parking with in-and-out privileges. Good location. Walkable to the River Walk, Alamo, River Center Mall, convention center and other attractions.

The property manager offered either a partial refund or reward points. To avoid the hassle with trying to get a refund processed from Marriott to Hotels.com I chose the Marriott points. 3 days later and they are not yet posted to my account. Now they say because of the amount of points it will have to be approved by the General Manager, who apparently only works M-F. Last I knew the hotel business was 24/7/365. Maybe I’m overreacting but I feel like I am getting the run around and now have to spend more time following up on this than what the points are going to be worth.

Valet personnel were always so kind and respectful and greeted you with a smile and by your name. The front desk staff always acknowledged you and made you feel welcomed. The hotel was clean and well tended to. Due to my busy conference schedule only got the chance to enjoy breakfast one day but was a great variety of foods offered and do appreciate this. Overall was a great stay and a big thank you for all who made this possible.

A lot of street noise. Fire alarm went off twice in the middle of the night and they just said it was a glitch. One elevator was out of service and the staff was using the other one during busy customer times making waits long. Not good on the customer service end. When we arrived late at night no one let us in. No one came to class cars. Not a great experience.

I kept asking for towels I just needed two I called down and went to the front desk when I’d go asking the front I was told we will send them up to you we arrived Sunday I asked on Monday and never received them by Wednesday checkout! When we got into our room it was dirty! The floors clearly hadn’t been vacuumed and the beds had stuff on the sheets I took pictures of everything on arrival but I wasn’t happy or pleased with the stay. Homeless camp directly behind hotel not the description I had assumed of property online.

The location was very convenient for River Walk and lots of places to go shopping, restaurants. Felt safe in area. We did pay for parking and felt is was secure place.

The location is great if you're looking for the San Antonio Riverwalk experience. The location is very centralized for walking, dinning, public transportation and entertainment. I had an amazing stay here the breakfast was great and so was the customer service in general. I traveled from Nevada and the hotel location was perfect.

They also cleaned the room and folded my shirt and placed it on the bed,that was sweet. Everytime we would turn the TV on it would say good afternoon and my name which was a good gesture. I would definitely come back again and it's close to the Alamo and the Riverwalk.

My wife and I are 75 + yrs old and sleep in separate beds. One of our mattresses was terrible! It made nosies like plastic being crushed when you moved and was excessively soft and you sunk down into the mattress! It was very uncomfortable! We should have asked to be moved to another room but it was Memorial Day weekend and figured they were full.

Recently stayed there and they went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. From wheel chair accessible room to towels . Staff were awesome! So friendly from front desk to housekeeping and valet aswell as maintenance which went beyond to make sure pool lift chair was working. And breakfast was great as well. They served hot breakfast which helped start off our mornings. Hotel is less than a 5 minute walk to Alamo. Hotel area was great.

Within 5 minutes of checking into our room we found several alive and dead bugs in the bathroom and by the bed. We immediately grabbed our things and went to the front desk to see if one of their sister locations could honor our reservation. The front desk woman, I believe her name was Ronnie, mentioned that because the room was on the first floor and by the pool it's likely that bugs can get in but assured us they spray the facility often. She could not transfer the reservation but offered to move us to the 6th floor. Our plane was delayed and we were running late for our reservation so we didn't have much time to look for other hotels. We inspected the room and although we didn't find any bugs we were sure to keep our things off of the floor, bags closed, and checked out early in the morning the next day. We skipped out on breakfast given the kitchen is also located on the first floor. Ronnie was very apologetic about the situation and I appreciate her moving our room. Overall we did not feel comfortable at this hotel - bugs are hard to contain to a certain floor. We would not stay here again.

Recommend adding rubber mats for the shower. My husband slipped in the tub and bruised his hip.

The hotel lobby area smelled like smoke the duration of our trip. The breakfast catered to a Hispanic taste. The front desk personnel were courteous. Would rate the room 2.5. Needs to be updated.

They charge $37 parking a day and I wasn't comfortable with that so I parked in the street. The good thing is that there are pay to park spots in the street so if you are lucky to find parking it's free from 6:00 PM to 8:00 am the next day. It's only a $1.50 parking during the day.

1st valet cost was 39 which they subtract from 50 deposit which isnt bad. Breakfast was great. Rooms were clean and good. Only problem was i reserved 2 king suites and received 2 basic rooms they stated expedia over booked their suites and could only give me a room with 2 queens. Kinda disappointing on expedia part

Some things were not working properly when we first checked in, however the staff tried their best to resolve our concerns.

As a result, I entered the Springfield Inn, thinking I was checking in there until they directed me down the hall to the Lobby of the Fairfield Inn. Staff was outstanding, friendly, etc. Accommodations were what you'd expect from a Marriott property. Breakfast - honestly, I LOVED the eggs and chorizo (never had that before). Not the healthiest choice, but when in Rome...

We like this hotel because it’s a short walk to river walk at half the price. It’s clean and the staff is very friendly.

Everything about the hotel is fine, but they charged me twice. I had already paid with my credit card, and when my husband came to stay with my two children, they charged him again. He had to pay again and they also charged us for where to park the car.

Everything is clean, staff is extremely helpful and friendly! It was a wonderful experience overall.

There was a bug in the ceiling over the bed. Requested the staff to get rid of it. Had no proper equipment to get rid of it.

We called and let the property know that we would be arriving later than expected, due to traffic. They were very understanding and helpful. All the staff were super friendly and the room was clean and comfy

Was very noisy since they have disco just in the corner.

We really enjoyed this property, the location is great it is a 2 minute walk to the river walk and near by attractions, the breakfast was very good and had a great variety of options. Staff were also very friendly. The only cons would be that it is across the street from a bar and the music is pretty loud at night and parking is not included and can only do valet with an extra cost. Other than that, good option for the price.

Dislike: 1/ dishonest girl front desk, unauthorized charge to my credit card, when asking for receipt she hesitate to give out. At first she said there is a $4.11 return back to my credit card then I asking for receipt then she said $21.11 will return back to my card but still no give out the receipt. She has inconsistent response. This girl should be disciplines for dishonest behavior for an unauthorized charge to my card.

The club across the street was busy & loud at all hours of the night

The pool cleanliness left much to be desired. The room service signage indicates every other day however, I was woken up every single day of stay. The parking situation is too expensive with valet parking at $35.00 per stay so an Uber most recommended. Too much noise from vehicles off the Bonham street access and a very loud club adjacent to this property on the corner. The breakfast staff and quality of food was exceptional. Really 5 star rating to the kitchen and front end facility staff. Well done

A gem of a hotel but with the resort LIKE feel to it!!! Just a DOPE place to stay........

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. Gave lots of recommendations on places to visit and good eats! We would stay here again in a heart beat!
