Courtyard by Marriott San Antonio Downtown/Market Square

We stayed for 3 nights. This is our 4th time staying at this hotel. We enjoy it every single time. We will definitely be back for our next trip. Staff were nice, and helpful. We definitely recommend.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite with 2 double beds and a pull out couch. It’s meant to sleep 6. However, the bathroom is so compact only one person can get ready at a time. You have 1 hook for towels for up to 6 people?!!!??? I’ve never seen bathroom counter space that small in a hotel. There is an extra mirror which is completely u

It was clean and the facilities were fine- nothing outstanding. The ad for this Marriott were misleading in that you can walk to the Riverwalk area but it’s very inconvenient and not advised to do so. We had to rent a car.

When I booked the motel I was under the understanding their breakfast was included 0 I thought that the location had free breakfast it did not I went to the lobby early in the morning to try to get a complimentary cup of coffee I was told that coffee was 450 a cup

When I made reservations, breakfast was included. The set up for breakfast is very confusing. I saw people ordering and paying. When I asked the receptionist about it, she said if you paid for it, you will get it?!!

First of all we get there I purchased 2 queen beds because we were a family of 3 I get there they stated that they had sold our room and only had a king bed with a sleeper sofa if you only knew how bad that sofa was they had the audacity to say that their members were more important than a paid customer that really pissed me off never doing business with them again

The beds were HARD. In-room coffee was very minimal, so I did not even bother with it. They had a single water bottle in the room that they wanted $6 for (Absolutely not). I really did not like that I had to pay for parking in a standard parking lot. This was not a parking garage... I feel parking is part of staying at the hotel. Why would I have to pay extra!!!! The pool was freezing cold. The breakfast was okay. Some of it was good, some of it was not. very limited though, and I HAD TO PAY EXTRA FOR THAT. Overall, I picked this hotel because I have stayed at multiple Marriotts before, and they were very nice, with lots of amenities. This one was just okay. I would not stay here again.

Pool was freezing need a hot tub, bathrooms need updating, games by fire pits need replacing they were broken. Staff were super nice! Lobby area really cozy and had a vibe! Should have shuttle to river walk like the next door hotel!

Front desk personnel were courteous and efficient, the room was disappointing. The room was noisy with both neighboring guests and street noise. There was effectively no counter space for the guest to set things down, neither in the living space nor the bathroom. There was no working fan in the bathroom. Using the shower for the first time, I noted some form of substance stuck to the inside of the shower curtain liner; on exiting, a clump of hair on the backside. On my way out in the morning, I requested that the liner be replaced. Upon my return, I noted that the liner had been replaced, but the clump of hair sat in the shower pan. It seems removal of the hair was not considered part of the duty of the person who made the liner change. I will not return to this hotel.

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Friendly, professional staff. Impressively clean throughout. Safe, secure self parking is $20. Not happy having to pay. Excellent location to Alamodome and walking distance to the market place. If in San Antonio again we would stay here again.

The breakfast was limited in what they offered, I have had better in cheaper hotels. It was basically a small cafe style breakfast. Our ac did not work properly and we needed a fan to help cool down. They offered us breakfast for our troubles, which we already had included in our stay. The door to the bathroom would get stuck. The main door would lock prior to the door closing all the way.

Dislikes: $40 incedental charge, not mentioned prior to booking. Custom breakfast items may be extra. Lots of construction, currently in the area, slightly confusing. 🤔 Definitely do recommend!

Other than the road construction that has been going on around there for the last few years, the hotel is nice, clean comfortable. Market Square is within walking distance. Parking is now $16 a day which at one time was free. The staff is pretty helpful too.

The bathroom was very dirty – there was hair in the bathtub and on the floor, and the area around the toilet was unclean. I even noticed blood stains on the carpet. During our stay, the housekeeping staff forgot to clean our room, so when we returned late at night, we had to go to the front desk to request basic toiletries and fresh towels. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

The woman at the front desk made up feel welcome upon arrival and answered all our questions. The room was very comfortable and beds were great. We went to the pool for an afternoon and it is also very nice. There is nothing negative to report about this facility. Would definitely stay there again.

The location, room, and amenities were all nice, and the staff was really helpful and friendly. It was way too easy to hear the people on either side of me. Noise from neighbors and outside was a problem. Also the 3rd (top) floor needs more insulation or air conditioning in the hallways, but it's not like you're going to hang out there.

Parking is less than other comparable hotels nearby, but should be free. And this is more of an industry wide issue but water, snacks, food, etc are at price gouge levels. Makes the whole thing feel cheap and scammy. Hotel chains: imagine not doing that …

It is very clean The breakfast, I booked this property because it had breakfast included but it is not a breakfast like others hotel (wafles, pancakes, eggs, ham, sausages, etc) it is just a very very small menu, almost a sandwich and coffee, that’s it. This was a nice hotel to stay in. Yes, there was some early morning noise due to construction, but overall it was better. The only thing is that due to construction, it was hard to navigate and get on the correct road while driving. It could have been because I am unfamiliar with the area but other than that, I enjoyed my stay.

Marriott has taken minimalism too far in this Courtyard at least. It was not comfortable.

I really enjoyed my stay here! The staff was very friendly and helped us out with parking. The room was nice and clean and ready at the time that it said it will be ready. It is walkable distance to the Riverwalk and many other shops around the area.

No breakfast. Really its a Starbucks with a few breakfast made to order. You pay for it. There was a conflict with the rate I paid vs the rate quoted via Hotels.com. It was $9 more. I asked the check in clerk. She didn't know but that is what the booking showed. I didn't have time to argue. I will take it up later.

Property called to say that the room I booked was not available. When I asked for help with an alternative solution I was hung up on by one of the customer service managers. Will not book with Marriot ever again.

We came to spend a long weekend and go to a spurs game. This location is close to all the things to do but not so close where you are in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. Very clean, quiet and comfy. We will definitely stay here again!

Hotel was nice however we found a half eaten sandwich in our fridge. Hotel staff didn’t care at all. Everything else was standard to above standard except the pull out coach was stiff. The location was fine for the value but out of the way and no where near any big attractions in the Alamo City. Good thing San Antonio was very walkable and a very nice underrated city.

It was a walkable distance to both the market riverside and downtown, and felt safe even walking in the evening. It’s always disappointing having to pay more for parking, although all hotels add that on additionally. No free breakfast either, which in addition to parking bring the cost of a stay up quite a bit, but we were very happy with our stay.
