Great Hotel.

The quality of the accommodation and facilities met all expectations. The quality of the breakfast was very poor, especially when compared to European standards.

It was a very comfortable room. It was quiet and just pleasant. We only stayed one night, but I would recommend it. Could not complain about anything.

Staff were generally nice and efficient. First, i have no clue how the reviews here are so good. This is a crappy motel that had small improvements, but not enough to make a real difference. The beds were uncomfortable, the sheets were stained, the bathroom had bugs crawling around. On top of all of that, the floors were strangely…sticky?… like they hadn’t been cleaned in a long time and it had that general musty/mildewy motel smell. Breakfast was bad (eggs, biscuits and gravy were all cold). I know how I sound writing this up, I am not picky about where I sleep, but if I’m paying $100+/ night, I expect at minimum clean sheets. After a full work days followed by 6 hours of driving, I slept in and off for 4 hours and then gave up. There are so many hotels in this area, I would recommend going to another without even setting those in person (unless this one is massively less expensive and you’re prepared for it to be below average, for me the price difference was minimal, I chose it because it was 30 min closer to where I was heading).

The breakfast was good. I thought the eggs were exceptional. We did miss having peanut butter available for the toast. The location was convenient to the high way and easy to enter and exit from the street. the staff were excellent, very accommodating and responsive to our requests. The water pressure and hot water was a pleasure. the room was clean, the beds were comfortable. I thought the cleanliness of the outside areas could be improved on. It seems the landings and stairs needed sprucing up. We thought the towels could be a little softer and fluffier. The rooms need a little updating, you can see the wear on the door jams.

Traveling with a utility trailer is tough but we were provided parking right by our room. We also appreciate the dog pet policy and the easy proximity to restaurants. This was our third stay and everything is consistently good.

We stayed for only one night. The beds were very comfortable. The property was safe and quiet. There were many places for dining near by and shopping as well.

And I’m pretty sure I won’t be using booking any further. Consider considering the enormous discrepancy in the rate I just paid.

The breakfast options were a good selection, the water pressure in the room was amazing and the temperature, as well as the parking was great! The staff was very kind and welcoming and the location of the hotel was perfect. Hmmm I really don’t have anything negative to say at all!!

The hotel was clean, the staff were all very polite and the breakfast was typical but fresh. My only two complaints are a small 32" in tv and the shower head didn't have much pressure.

Nothing Everything I had to settle for a handicap double bed room since they gave my king room away which no matter what shouldn’t have. The tub was leaking, the fridge barely kept things cold. Towels were small and we had one stained like it was used. I had to wait almost thirty mins until they figured my paid room and to move me. Wouldn’t recommend

Breakfast didn’t look good enough to eat there so we just went out. Room was clean but shabby. The bathroom was very nice tho. But the 2 bath towels for 2 people were quite small. I guess I was just expecting better based on Expedia reviews.

Breakfast was terrible. We went down 2 hours before it closed 2 days in a row and there was no hot food, no bread, no muffins, lukewarm beverages. Only choices were cereal or apples.

The property was nice and clean and is very convenient to I-81. Roanoke and downtown Salem are just a few short minutes away. The king-size bed was very comfortable and I slept very well. The young lady at the front desk was friendly and welcoming, however she did not inform me of the $50 incidental deposit required upon check-in. I will consider staying again when I need a convenient, comfortable room in Salem.

Easy access from 81. Lots of places to eat near it. The bed wasn’t comfortable and the pillows were small and shaped weird, useless for sleeping. The coffee in the breakfast area was cold, very disappointed in the breakfast. And most of all no where was it listed how much it cost per dog. Outrageous.

Great location right off of RT81 I checked in and attempted to fall asleep but I couldn’t due to noice outside on the walkway. Ended up leaving and paying for another hotel down the road.

I've been staying at this property on a regular basis and I always enjoy the stay. Muscan at the front desk is the best. She has a great personality, is very caring and always goes the extra mile to make sure everything is taken care of. No meats for breakfast

Unfortunately upon check-in there was blood on the pillow. I called the front desk and no one answered. I walked all the way to the front desk and waited and waited but no one was around. So I slept on my sweatshirt as a pillow

No stay. Owner refused to accept Expedia reservation due to his issues w Expedia. Tried to double bill me. Rude and aggressive. Shouted expletives and threatened me. We each called law enforcement on each other. I will never ever use Expedia or Quality Inn for lodging again. I was forced to find alternate lodging and paid the same for much better hospitality. It seems both Expedia and quality have forgotten they are in the hospitality business. Made my life miserable after 11 hours drive. No fault of mine. I simply booked online only to be treated terribly. Thankfully I am now a happy IHG member. That’s how commerce works. Customers go where they are treated best. Expedia and Quality Inn can dance into the sunset together as bad examples. I wish you the best in bankruptcy. Have a VP contact me before I leave both Yelp and Google reviews. Or not. peace

This hotel was fine for a quick overnight to break a long trip up but I’d never stay here for longer. Room was clean and bed was fine, but breakfast was terrible. Great stay!! Room was clean, breakfast was delicious and I felt so comfortable with my stay. My friend and I were swapping over from a different hotel from hell, we were up for over 24hrs, exhausted, wanted to shower and sleep. Thankfully Armando the most AMAZING front desk person helped us SO MUCH and really made our stay THE BEST and the rest of our trip smooth. Very clean rooms and friendly desk service. Was fine for an overnight stay, but the door in room 222 needs to be fixed. The door had a pretty significant chunk of the bottom missing so big I could stick my hand through it. We used towels to cover it up to avoid anything crawling into the room at night.

Exiting the property to get back to Route 81 is a bit of a challenge

Difficulty in reaching motel when needed to confirm late night check-in. Tried 4 different numbers before reaching that we would be arriving after midnight

We’ve been using this location for the past 3 summers on our travels to/ from GA -MD. All staff are very helpful, friendly, and courteous. It’s a quiet location and convenient to a good selection of restaurants. I also enjoy using the pool. They honor my request for a room on ground level due to knee issues and stairs.

The customer service was great. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful and kind from the booking of the room til checkout! (Hard to find now a days). Rooms were clean. Shower and toilet in good condition and working properly. Decent breakfast and swimming pool clean. Conveniently located to highway and places to dine and shop.

The front desk clerk was very friendly & helpful. They had a nice hot breakfast with good choices. The non smoking room definitely smelled of smoke but that is on the customers to follow the rules. The room has a damp feeling, better ventilation needed. Great pet friendly prices.

Clean enough, not worth the cost. Seriously outdated.

The room was clean but didn’t smell clean.

It was surprisingly quiet even though we had a first floor room that you entered from the parking lot. That was the part I didn’t like- entering the room from outside. Clean. Bed was good.

Quiet , comfortable. Good breakfast. Right off rt 81.

I did enjoy my stay at the Quality In, even thought it was just over night. The bed was pretty comfortable, and the breakfast pretty good. I do think some of interior/exterior of room might be do for a fresh coat of paint. but all in all I would recommend this hotel.

The customer service was amazing the front desk worker was super nice and friendly and the room was really spacious and clean. And me and my fiance enjoy the pool. We really love this hotel it’s really cozy

The property is clean and worth the price we pay. The only inconvenience for guests with heavy luggage is that it has no elevator.

Our stay was very nice. Stayed for the weekend to enjoy a concert nearby. Had an issue with check in but staff resolved it after about 20 minutes. Other than that hiccup our stay was peaceful, restful and comfortable. No issues.Thank you again!

The room was updated with a seemingly new bathroom, room carpeting, paint. Very clean and well kept

Staff was friendly and efficient. Hotel is located right off of 81 so it was easy to get two different destinations. The bed was super comfortable along with the pillows and everything was very clean. The only thing that was a bit of a challenge was parking, but the event that we were there for seemed to prove a challenge for the Entire area. I would return to this hotel again.

Our stay at the Quality Inn was great. Very clean. The rooms need some updating, but definitely comfortable.

We stayed here for our grandson's graduation from Roanoke College. There was some traffic noise, but not bad.

Armando checked us in and he was the nicest person I have encountered at a hotel! The room was clean, comfortable bed, great water pressure, good breakfast. This is your basic motel for travel and I will stay again.

Great stay

Im not fond of entering rooms from outside, I was unaware that this was the case.

The room was a standard hotel room but the bathroom was newly renovated and very nice although it needs a door because there is no changing area unless you get changed in front of the toilet which is not my style. The breakfast food and coffee was terrible. Luckily, the Dunkin was around the corner. I felt safe as they have security cameras on the premises and can see everything which made me feel relieved since I had never been to that area. All in all it was a good experience, I would stay there again. The grocery store is right across the street which was another plus and Dollar store is right next door.

Room was to be a non-smoking room. Unfortunately, a prior guest did smoke in the room, leaving a stench. The front desk apologized for the issue and provided a new room which would be available in an hour. Unfortunate, but everything was done to try to make things right. Front desk gentleman was excellent.

Convenient

The room was good. The showers were excellent and the room very clean and well decorated. Didn’t know they charged $25.00 extra for dogs. 😡 We had a late check in, so they don’t allow anyone into the lobby. We had to check-in within and alcove-kind of creepy. The breakfast was subpar, but fine. There were fresh apples, toast, fake eggs, biscuits with chipped beef and juices. The ice machines were great. Overall, a good stay.

They have a drag and drop response for bad reviews. Saying you updated all of these things in no way reflects issues like the lobby photo being so edited we had to try to look for matching items to think it was the same place. Or that the door showed visible signs that people had tried to break in before. Or the substance abuse visible in the parking lot. Its good you are updating. But until it is updated the photos you use should in some way accurately portray the space. Between that, incidentals when that are higher than the standard, and the refusal to answer hotels.com when they called about my issues, its obvious you make money off people booking a room they think will be a good value and then leaving

Road noise is an issue. The room has been renovated and is in good condition. Breakfast is weak.

Everything is available near by

Room is clean. With frigid temperatures they made my room warm prior to checkin. Property is a little noisy, but overall good place to stay for the price.

It was adequate and comfortable for a multi night stay

Breakfast was basic with hot with eggs and waffles. Next time would definitely pay a bit more and stay at the other proper hotels nearby, especially after a long day of driving.
