Sea Palms Resort St Simons Island

Most everything was very clean but not the floor

Staff was helpful at check in. The room was clean but outdoor areas not kept up. Walkways had litter and windows dirty… place just needs a good pressure washing. Just saying for the money the property could be better! Inside room was clean but showing some signs of wear around shower. Air conditioning was great and kept us cool. Had a nice beverage fridge in room. Lastly, as one of the growing electric vehicle owners, on site EV charging should be considered. We actively look for places that have it, chose this place because of convenience to a family reunion.

I enjoyed the beautiful marsh views. I was here for a literacy conference and the conference rooms and catered food were all wonderful.

Felt very safe, quiet and peaceful. The nightly resort fee + tax. That made our trip cost about $40 more per night when we only stayed in our room. We didn’t go anywhere else on the resort.

The bartender on Saturday made me feel like I didn't belong in the setting at the bar. I have been coming to this location for my Radiology Conference for over 4 years. This time was there for a personal family trip. Once checking in, I wanted a drink and something to eat from a six hour road trip. Watching him ignore me make be feel uncomfortable. Athough, everyone who was white treated me with respect knowing, Iwas in the medical field.

We had a complicated reservation and staff worked hard to make sure all was taken care of in streamlined manner.

Lovely property with great marsh views. The room was spacious and the bathroom adequate. Our room had some sort of plank floors which quite frankly were filthy. We had to wipe our feet off with damp washcloths several times or wear socks the whole time. We tried to have brunch on Sunday and were told they weren't open yet. It was 10:22, and brunch started at 10:30!

Staff, pool room size The hotel is tired. Needs a major renovation & maintenance. The public corridors and screened in porches were filthy. Breakfast options were nonexistent unless you wanted premade breakfast sandwiches.

Relaxing property with onsite restaurant, pool, and golf. Was pleasantly surprised with an upgrade when checked in which included a living area and full kitchen (considered a suite). Took a peaceful 4 mile walk each morning around the grounds and surrounding houses on the golf property. This was a mother/daughter weekend of sitting around the pool, reading, shopping and eating and this property for the bill!

So quiet! We love coming back here each year to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet! No other guests are loud or noisy. Parking is convenient and the grounds are well kept. Nothing!

There was a door lock problem and the staff moved us to a nicer room at same price which was appreciated. Rooms were clean and spacious.Grounds were nice and the golf course was SUPER handy. If you stay at hotel, there is a handsome discount for the golf, so be sure to ask for that.

The room was pretty good. AC was really nice. Our disappointment was the food service. Wait staff seemed a bit thin and unprepared. We sat in the main bar area for an hour while tables were left and not bussed in reasonable time.

Room was spacious and well appointed for a relaxing three days spent on St. Simon’s Island. Love, love, close proximity to nice restaurants and a high end shopping boutique area near the hotel. Look forward to a return visit.

Staff was kind but seemed busy or put out when asked for help or to use bike. Had to get a pass daily to use pool at other location. Felt they could have done a pass good for the length of our stay

Big rooms, beautiful views. The only negative is the noise from the room upstairs. When they walked, it sounded like the ceiling was going to collapse.

The staff is helpful and friendly. The balcony overlooking the vast marsh was screened in! We could hear every step the person above us took. The shower was nice but had no shelf for soap, etc.

This is an excellent hotel and resort. I would recommend this place as a must stay when visiting St. Simons Island. I stay here multiple times throughout the year.

Staff was terrific, food at Sago was amazing along with spa massages. Room was nice but smaller than expected but did like the balcony with nice views.

We don't feel that our room was thoroughly cleaned before we arrived. There was hair on n the floor by the bathroom trashcan, hand prints all over the mirror by the door and dried/old coffee caked in the bottom of a coffee mug. We also killed 5 roaches/palmetto bugs in our room during the course of the weekend.

Nice location. Views good and very clean. I have been here many times and the staff is always very helpful and go out of the way to make us feel welcome there. This is how to run a property. I would highly recommend Sea Palms. No complaints

The location was good and our room was large. The trash can outside our room was overflowing the entire trip and it reaked. We didn’t receive cleaning service in our room. The maids just stood around in the halls laughing. The pool snack shop was closed and we had to request towels twice.

This was a beautiful place to stay for 2 nights. I was very happy with the room size and location on the property. The only negative would be the shuttle driver. He was very opinonated and when he asked me where I was from, CA, he scoughed and started to treat me a certain way. I would get him some training on better hospitality and what things you should not say to your guests who are staying with the hotel.

Complementary bikes were available as well as a shuttle for use on the island. We did not use the shuttle service, but my son did use a bike once. We are dinner in the bar/restaurant the first night, and our food was excellent. We also had an amazing sunrise view over the marsh each morning! I would definitely book here again.

We had one night on the road to spend in Georgia and wanted to awake to a beautiful sunrise, on a property where we could have dinner on site. Sea Palms was perfect on both counts. Excellent dinner, glorious sunrise over the marsh from a screened balcony.

It was nearby the location of the conference I attended. There was hair in the bathroom. It didn’t feel like the bathroom was thoroughly cleaned.

Everything was phenomenal and the staff was very professional. I would recommend this to my friends.

Love the access to the shops, nice staff Dirty room, not like pictures at all . Seems like a bigger motel being that there are people actually staying here for longer than weeks .

Enjoyed our room. The dinner at restaurant was wonderful. The standout was the excellent service by the front desk person, Gabe. He was very energetic, genuinely personable and through with his information. He resolved an issue we had. Made such an immediate difference in our enjoyment.

This place is such a secret oasis. Well off the beaten path I f lanais, Sea Palms offers serenity and comfort at a great price. I was here for an event that was at a different property but it was nice to return back to condo for a little peace. I would recommend to anyone who likes to golf, or just to get away for the weekend. Lots to do at the resort, with Trivia night on Mondays and other activities, why would you go anywhere else. I will be back!!

We were able to cycle from the hotel and the route was safe. And marsh offered views that differ throughout the day and night. We only stayed for one night, but wish we had spent the whole week there . The pet fee was a little high for just 1 night.

Beautiful property. Our double queen suite had a gorgeous view of the marsh and the room was very nice. Check-in was a little off, but I completely understood-they were transitioning to new Hilton systems, having been recently affiliated and they were apologetic. I totally understood that. I did notice on check-in that the tub and toilet did not appear to have been recently cleaned. I went to the front desk and let them know - the Housekeeping Director was there and told me he and staff would get over immediately to take care of that, which they did. He gave me his card and told me not to hesitate to call if we had any further problems. My daughter-in-law and 18 month-old grandson were with me on the trip. Within 20 minutes of my grandson walking barefoot in the room, his feet were literally black. I later ran into the Housekeeping Director on the property and told him about the dirty floors and asked if they could please come and clean the floors, since my grandson was playing on these floors. He told me the floors were recently installed, and they were trying to "work through it." We were there from Wed-Sat and after being promised the floors would be cleaned two times, they never were. We had an additional room for Thurs-Fri and floors were equally dirty. Upon checkout, I was told that glue was coming up on the floors, it was not dirt. After showing the picture of my grandson's feet, they comped a room night. We would stay again if they can get the floors clean!!!

The location if you are driving is relatively close to St. Simmons downtown that has lots of restaurants, etc. The rooms were big as well as the bathroom with a beautiful view of the marsh. The room had a musty smell. The person checking us in was not friendly at all. She immediately told us we would have to drive to our rooms. No welcome, good morning, nothing. She gave us one look and basically told us we were doing something wrong. I now understand she was trying to warn us that we were going to have to drive to get to our rooms but that is something you say AFTER you welcome your clients and check them in. It was 4th of July and made us feel not welcomed at all.

Overall happy with the hotel and our brief stay. Nothing too special unless you're an avid golfer. Very loud if you're on the bottom floors. You can hear every footstep and every door that gets slammed or shut.

In addition, I paid for a "sea/bay view" room which we were not given. Instead, we had a view of the golf course/lagoon. The resort was nice overall, but the above factors would prevent me from staying here again.

I truly loved the Sea Palms Resort. It was quiet. It was safe. It was convenient. The scenery from The Pelican rooms was magnificent! Although we went to Gould's Inlet for sunrises, we could see them without leaving the bed (the last day there). I wish the pool stayed open later than 8PM. However, this was far enough from the touristy hustle & bustle near the pier, but close enough to drive to the pier for more dining and shopping options.

Overall our stay was great and we would definitely stay again! When we got to our room the HVAC unit was not working. Maintenance was called and quickly came to reset it. We left to go eat and returned and it was not fixed, but they had already started the process of moving us to a different room. Our daughter loved the pool!

The resort does need updating/upgrading its ADA compliance. We found the ramps to be TOO STEEP for Walker / wheel chair use. The shower stalls can do with Grab Bars. The staff was wonderful !

Excellent spot to stay on the island. Worth the money. Located away from downtown, with two different routes available to take to the beach. Staff if great here. I’d book this location anytime I’m on Saint Simon's.

She greeted us promptly, got us taken care and gave us recommendations and information about the surrounding area. Was a stellar example of how top tier company representation can enhance an establishment. The property itself was well taken care of. Room was very spacious and comfortable. Only complaint would be that the water pressure could be better but it was instantly hot so no complaints. 7 out of 5 stars. Would recommend and stay again

We have stayed here numerous times. Always love the rooms. They face the marsh with screened in patio. The restaurant is a short walk. Parking is near the building. It;s only a 20 min ride from I95.

Checked in at 4pm and the room was warm and muggy. We turned on the AC and got dressed to go out to dinner. We came back and went to bed. I woke up at 2am sweating. The AC was not kicking on, just the fan. We called the front desk and they did not do anything due to it being in the middle of the night. I just cannot justify the amount we spent for an uncomfortable stay. Thankfully we haven’t hit full summer time and it wasn’t too hot during the night.

The onsite restaurant is yummy, convenient and well-managed…thank you! We could walk to a fun, quiet place for breakfast and enjoy the grounds on our way! St Simons has a lot to offer…we will be back VERY soon! Thank you!!!!

In the last year. No one at check in when we arrived, doors were locked, had to wait 15 minutes outside at 12:30am. Room was very cold, had to google the thermostat brand to understand how to get the heat on. Elevator broken for 18 hours, breakfast buffet cold..,

Requested a marsh view and we overlooked the golf course. We checked in late Friday and woke up to take a shower on Saturday water was cold. The shower water stayed cold the entire stay, never got hot. Requested more towels, toilet tissue and trash emptied on Sunday around 11 am, went to office again at 3pm still not received and had to call again around 6 to get someone to finally bring us items. There was a small trash can outside where we parked our car and it was full and overflowing Saturday and was still overflowing with same trash Monday when we checked out.

We stayed for three days. Staff was very friendly and accommodating as we wanted to add another night. Clean, and within 5-15 car drive to shopping and restaurants. We mainly left our car parked and biked to where we wanted to go. Bike paths will get you safely to where you want to go.

Shower door had mold and roach in our bed requested bed to be changed and shower clean only the bed was changed. Staff didn't seem to have a great concern over our issues.

I’ve stayed at Sea Palms a couple times and found everything to be top notch. With a little hitch on checking in due to a large contingency of power line crews moving out on the way to the hurricane devastated in Florida Sea Palms provided a very nice suite upgrade.

I had to clean grime in the corners and bottom of glass and door trim in the shower. Also, we are handicapped and asked twice for coffee and never received it.

The hotel resort was great we was close to the marsh side didnt like the smell that cane off of it other than that it was great

The entire experience was absolutely exceptional, from the room, to the staff, to the restaurant. They have a huge parking lot for every building including the front office. Someone greeted me as soon as I walked in, they got me checked in and showed me on a map where my room was. I even asked for some help with my bags from a guy outside and he helped me bring them to my room! The room was VERY clean and VERY spacious. The balcony was screened in so I could sit out there without the bugs eating me alive. They give you a little discount ticket to use at the restaurant they have downstairs, I decided to sit in the outside area and the service was really great! The food was fast to come out and the server is actually a friend of mine now. I will be returning again!

Very friendly staff and check in. Accommodating and provide shuttles and free transportation even though we didn’t use. Cute is beatify

Nice and tranquil. Beautiful room. With the exception of one staff member, they were cold and unfriendly. No one attended to my room during my 4-night stay, despite my request. I could hear the guest upstairs too well, especially late at night. Water pooled on my balcony, so I couldn’t enjoy it. Checkout was unorganized.

Our stay was wonderful. The facility was beautiful. Will stay again!!!

Restaurant for dinner was exceptional. Staff was excellent and attended to all our needs. However, wish we could have obtained a regular breakfast on Sunday instead of the brunch option. We did not stay for brunch and located another place for breakfast.

I appreciate the easy of booking on Expedia, but was surprised no one answered me when I noticed the price had been reduced, so I was over charged by more than $80. Not likely to use Expedia again

Very clean & comfortable.... We had 2 days that were absolutely amazing... Highly recommend if you need a short get away...

Loved the views of the marshes from our room! Very updated and clean. Only one complaint- floors above very loud- could hear most footsteps/closing of doors.

The only problem: The key card didn't always work and had to be reprogrammed a couple of times. Would definitely come back.
