    No screens on windows.No programmable keys(old style metal key).In room phone does not work,manager had to come to room to get tv remote to work with tv. No coffee provided as advertised. Tenants living on property, working on cars. Preschool age kids running in upstairs walkways and riding bikes in parking lot past 10 pm. Housekeeping throws soiled bedding out in parking lot on oil stains. I cancelled my future bookings and will never stay again!

    The pictures are a bit deceiving. We got there and there are kids playing in the parking lot, minimal parking and no deadbolts on the doors. It’s apparent that this is a property that people are seemingly living at. The office staff was nice, the room was clean, but the single handle being the only thing that kept the door closed was an issue. The place is gated, so that was nice.

    Nothing! The pictures on the site are not as accurate as actually being there. I knew the neighborhood was not the best, but I thought staying somewhere with gate access was going to be good. The lobby stayed locked while we were there. We walked in to check-in and the lobby felt like I was standing in someone’s living room who didn’t want me there. I don’t know if it was an employee who was sitting in the lobby, but she seemed mad and kept giving me and my family odd looks. We didn’t get much information at check-in, but I wasn’t worried too much since it was one night and we would be out for most of the day anyway. We returned around midnight, and the whole vibe and safety of the place had changed from day time. My husband is disabled and they had only one handicap spot that was taken, then someone had parked in the handicap ramp space. We were able to find a spot and went to our room, when my husband and I came back out there were people with dogs staying next to us who were outside arguing with the dogs. They continued to yell and the dogs barked the whole night, the room on the other side of us was also loud the whole night. There was animal poop on walking paths. Now, on to the room. I have worked in hotels before, including being a housekeeping supervisor. With that said, the bathroom was not cleaned. There were stains and red hair on the walls, the toilet seat was broken on one side, and would slide to the side when you sat down. The shower handle was hanging slightly off, and it looked like it hadn’t had a deep clean and the use of shower shoes would be needed. The room was a double but only had enough towels for 2 people, there was only one small trash can, and only 3 pillows per bed. There was a large burn on one of the covers. Our phone was not plugged in and when we plugged it in, it didn’t work. There was a lack of amenities, and nothing was provided to hang or store your clothes. There was trash under the beds, and the cable box to the tv was literally hanging from the back. The front door is a big security risk, it’s a door where you can open the top part while keeping the bottom part closed. The top part of our door was not secure, and if someone wanted to the would be able to get in from the bottom part of the top door. Also, you had to use your full body weight to close the door or it would pop back open. We did not feel safe, and the noise the whole night from tweakers and hookers kept us up. Without much sleep I decided we would leave early. The lobby was closed, and I had to call from my phone to ask about where to leave the key. When the person answered she sounded like she was still asleep and upset that I had called. Also, the wifi doesn’t require a password so it’s unsecured and slow because everyone around the area is using it. Lastly, our room was advertised as $80 for the night, but I was charged over $90. You should have lobby hours posted on your front door, at check-in you need to provide more information to guest. Your housekeeping needs to be re-trained and management should be checking every room to ensure they are clean and any maintenance issues are reported and fixed.

    The TV didnt work. Then it was hard to get ahold of staff for replacement batteries or help. The line for their number didnt work in the room phone. Not helpful, useless if anything. But area was secured with gate. Nice pool area.

    The whole vibe felt very nostalgic, might not be everyone’s cup of tea but I enjoyed it. Room was sufficient for our needs. It was pretty central to get anywhere. Rode some bikes, hit the parks and did some thrifting. Would stay again.

    This was the worst hotel I've stayed at in my life. First you can't even get in there as they have a gate and no one answers the phone. Then, I finally got in there and there is no parking. There is plastic underneath the sheets on the bed, they leave the lights outside on all night long and its a badly run down establishment.

    I loved the concept- an old vintage hotel "renovated" to a degree. The online pictures were better than the reality. Owners/staff were nice and professional. The room they put me in for SEVEN DAYS I paid mind you- was atrocious. There was no microwave as listed, the lady couldn't get it from another room to bring to mine and her husband didn't get off until 11pm from his job, so I had to wait until the next morning (checked in on Saturday -Sunday he brought the microwave) so no hot food that night. THEN I went to take a shower the first night and the handle that controls the water FELL OFF. So I had to figure out how to put it back on to take a shower. I called about that and they had maintenance come and fix it while I wasn't there. Now it's Monday and im asking for my room to be cleaned and fresh towels. They say it will be done but when I got home from work- it hadn't been cleaned! I called about THAT. Staff said that the cleaning lady wasn't feeling good so she didn't come it- but was assured it would be cleaned the next day and it was- BUT When I used the sink in the bathroom- where it had been fine before NOW WATER WAS POURING OUT OF THE FAUCET- THROUGH THE PIPES AND ONTO THE FLOOR!!! I called about THAT. They had maintenance come fix that before I got home from work the next day. I was supposed to check out on Saturday but I couldn't take it anymore and checked out Friday morning before I left for work. I know they were sick of me calling because I was sick of having to deal with these unnecessary issues. My stay was nowhere near as restful as I had hoped it would be. But I get it, a young family putting their heart, soul and money into what is seemingly their first hotel. Maybe next year will be better for them. But I won't stay there again. This could be a really great destination hotel if they keep going with the vintage concept and decor, but no rugs on the cold floor and worn out bedding with cigarette burn is just disappointing at best.

    Haven't gotten my deposit yet. The room was dirty it stank like cigarettes. The shower faucet was broken. The bathroom sink barely had running water. We had to ask them to change the bed cover since the one on had a big stain. Parking was bad. The only good thing was it had a dinner right next door. The staff was okay. I don't think i can recommend it

    Very quirky unconventional motel. Pros: nice staff, gated parking lot, refrigerator and microwave. Cons: hard to find property, very obscure. Single key ( no key ring) for entry to rm. air conditioning didn’t work, was very warm room. No trash can anywhere in room, very noisy in the morning with Im pretty sure it’s people that live there full time loud talking outside my rm. so yes it’s a clean placeto stay a night at a very cheap price but I’d eather pay more and be comfortable

    This place was one of the quirkiest motels I’ve ever been to. Instead of the rooms being numbered, they’re all designated by these giant letters going from A-Z. I liked that the place was gated though I’m not sure if the gates are automated or if the manager has to manually let people in. The first room we stayed in, letter N, the door was damaged. It wouldn’t close shut because the rubber door jamb was coming off. When we brought this up to the manager, David, he insisted that it was fine and that you just needed to pull it shut hard. It made us feel uncomfortable that he wasn’t taking our concerns for safety seriously. Needless to say, we requested a different room. He gave us the keys for letter L, and the door there was fine. The bed was disgusting though. It had what looked like other people’s hair shavings on it, a bunch of stains, and random crumbs of lord knows what. We ended up just showering and checking out after.

    On a road trip to Seattle. Moving from SoCal. I have a bunch of stuff with me so I loved the fact that the hotel had gated parking. I felt really safe. What I didn’t like was how the room smelled bad, the bed sheets had stains, and they leave the plastic wrapping on the mattress so it felt like I was sleeping on a rock. Luckily I was only there for the night before I continued my road trip again.

    The air conditioner was extremely loud and wasn't on when I arrived so it never really cooled down. They have very bright security lights outside which I do appreciate and made me feel safe but it made the room feel like it was 2 in the afternoon as there are only shutters on the windows that do not block that light and you can't make the room dark.

    All of the food establishments on the block are good, the brewery across the street is exceptional, the bbq place on the corner is a great value. If you book 6 nights, you get a weekly rate that's even better. The rooms are large, and come with a regular upright fridge/freezer, a decent microwave, and sink. The bathrooms are good size with an easy 2 person size shower. Threre is a pool, that sems functioning, but apparantly not open till next year. And finally, and most important to me: Dog Friendly

    I did not get to stay at this hotel because we could not get to check in. We got there at 7:30. There’s nobody there to let us in to the hotel. The blankets and bedding had holes and mystery stains too. Contacted to owners about the deposit (didn’t ask for any amenities), but it’s been almost a week and they have yet to contact me.

    The staff was very nice! The hotel was very private and over all pretty quiet. They couldn’t fulfill my request for rooms close together and didn’t disclose that the 1 outta 2 rooms I paid for could house my entire family. We ended up paying for 2 rooms. The one and most important amenity I was requesting for our stay was a pool. We had just traveled 3,000 miles away from NJ for 5 days and ultimately just wanted to have a hotel to relax at. The pool is closed for the rest of the summer while their personal website accounts for that third party sites are not. Which I did use a third party site to book that indicated the hotel had a pool. On top of not being able to swim the air conditioning in our room DID NOT FUNCTION. The air was on but it never got cold. The significant temperature change in both rooms was intense. Like hell and Alaska.

    My only complaint is if you go out late and come back late you have to call the office to open the gate to be able to drive your car inside the property, whoch is noce knowing your vehicle is safe and secure.

    I was disappointed they advertise a swimming pool there was a pool but it was out of order, I thought they were unprofessional when we were checking in for 45 min we had to hunt them down and a guest had to give us the code to even get in the gate! There was hair in the shower the room was ok at least the bed was clean!

Later that night, no one opened the garage gate, so I had to park on the street and sleep in my car. I called them around 15 times and no one ever answered. Completely unacceptable.     Property was clean, and staff was nice, but the area of town was not kid friendly. Room was missing hand soap. Had only two towels for 4 people. Kids couldn't use the bunk bed because the mattress was so thick that the railing on the top bunk was non-existent. (They could have fallen off). There were no sheets or blankets for the bunk beds in the room. There is a nice brewery with good pizza across the street. The property was gated with free parking. I would not have felt safe otherwise.

    Upon arrival, there was a sign on the office door that stated they would return in 45 minutes. I called the number on the sign and they said they'd be there in 30 minutes. So I sat in my daughter's car and ate dinner with her and waited. Some time had passed and my daughter asked how long it had been since we arrived, I told her about 25-30 minutes. So we waited for another 10 minutes and it didn't look like anyone was coming in 45 minutes as the sign on the door had stated. My daughter stated that it had been almost an hour, so she proceeded to call the number provided on the sign and a male answered and she asked how much longer that they would be and they couldn't give her an estimated time, but she demanded an eta and proceeded to mention we had been waiting for an hour now. When she said that they said they would be there in a few minutes and not to soon after they arrived. Need I mind you that there were two other guests waiting to check in as well. Finally checking in at 10:35 pm, he stated that it was fourth of July and wasn't expecting new guests. He then took my license, entered it into his system and handed me my key and also said he'd waive the deposit for having me wait. On entering my room, it was clean, but didn't have soap to wash your hands in the bathroom as well as toilet paper, which I didn't notice till I had to use the restroom at midnight. There wasn't anyone at front desk in the morning to check out and leave key, left the key on a clip on the door.

    I would not recommend. Other peoples hair and fluids were on the bathroom walls. My towels were on the toilet because their shelves are extremely tilted. If parking is filled up you have to park outside of hotel gate. Service was great but facility is not.

    Stopped for a night on a road trip to LA and was overall confused by this place. I love old motels that have been given new life. On the outside, some really fun stuff has been done to the property - it’s gated, feels safe, has beautifully taken care of landscaping, and there are fun arty touches to the building. Inside the room it really fell short. Cheap towels, absolutely no toiletries (not even hand soap), a real lack of direction or thoughtfulness with the design, cold mismatched lightbulbs, even visible holes in the walls where things used to hang? All of that could be excused, but there was mold all along the floor in the shower, mildew sliming the catch on the shower door, and both the glass shower door and the shower mirror weren’t clean. It really bummed me out. And there was no communication about check in and check out protocols- was wandering around in the morning for a bit trying to figure out what to do with my key since the office was locked. Ended up calling the number on the outside of the gate and they were very nice and came down right away but still… really wish the level of care and attention to detail done with the outside space carried through to the cleanliness and hospitality too.

    The hotel bed sheets were dirty. They had fresh make up. There was blood on the sink. The beds had plastic bed cover under the sheets, so it was noisy. There was no control for the television. When calling the lobby to get a control they came upstairs just to find out the television was not working. I told the man who attempted to fix it, that we had to sleep, he could fix it the next day, he refused. It wasn’t until I said, okay this point I don’t care. We just want to sleep. I have pictures.     The not so good: TV was not working, pool was closed, they only provided one towel/washcloth for three of us, soap was so cheap it didn't lather.

    The staff were fantastic! The property is very secure which was a huge bonus for us. We felt safe and could rest our heads easy. Would definitely come back if ever in the area :)

    There was a cockroach living inside the bathroom light. We also were asked to wait 30 minutes to check in at 8:00pm and had an important event to be at that made us late. Area was sketchy as well. Wouldn’t stay again

    Gate requires calling every time you want to Enter the parking lot, check in was supposed to be 3, i arrived at 5:30, and wasn’t able to check in until 6, almost 7pm making me late. Had to transfer rooms in the middle of the night and to upstairs due to plumbing issues.

    When we returned with our food, the room was still unprepared, with full trash bins, an unmade bed, and overall poor cleanliness. Housekeeping seemed unaware of the situation And while they rushed to clean it, there was no urgency or offer to make amends for the inconvenience. Adding to the frustration, we were prohibited from eating by the pool, which felt unnecessarily restrictive. Once the room was finally ready, it had an overpowering chemical smell that required ventilation. Later, we discovered the TV wasn’t working, and there was no phone in the room to contact the front desk. When we eventually got a hold of someone they couldn’t fix the issue and said it would have to wait until morning - Which books unacceptable. To top it off the next morning, we encountered a COCKROACH in the room. That was the final straw.

    the rooms were not clean there were hairs all throughout the bathroom and stains on the bedsheets. The doors were tricky to close. our relative staying in another rooms toilet wouldnt flush. the sink in our room would take forever to drain. i felt like the pictures on the website were misleading

    Very inviting, well-kept and appealing property. The manager/owner was extremely pleasant, friendly, respectful, helpful and always available. I will be staying here again when I return to Sacramento! Thank you so much!

    We arrived a couple hours after Check-In and we were told that the room we booked was just vacated and they hadn't started cleaning yet. They then told us we had to wait a while till it would be ready as it was super messy. They offered no refunds and told us the only other option was paying $10 more dollars to stay in the only other vacant room which would technically upgrade us from a queen mattress to a king, no other amenities or improvements. We pointed out that it was silly to charge us for our room being unavailable and they gave us the King bedroom no extra charge. We did also have to put down a $100 deposit when we checked in. We documented our clean room at the end of our stay and hope to be receiving our deposit back in 3-4 business days.

    I enjoyed this hotel and it was pleased with the gate that was keeping people out it was kind of inconvenient to have to call each time to open it but overall it made me feel safer

    The photos and reviews are extremely inaccurate of this hotel. The room smelt of cigarette smoke. It was tiny. The windows are gardded by metal slats. The door to the rooms are metal and open like barn stall doors. it was very uneasy to sleep and stay here as a family. very over priced.

    Was surprised to see how much metal reinforcement was installed for all of the doors and windows making it seem as if crime is prevalent. Every time you enter the compound, you have to call a number in order to get access into the facility. First room did not have functioning door locks and the second room window was wide open upon initial entry. Would not recommend for families.

    Screw Hyatt, Hilton, Marriott, and all the others. Give your hard earned money to people that are really trying. 4 very cool places to eat right next to hotel. Shift, Joe's BBQ, King Cong's, and another I can't remember. This hotel is my favorite in Sacramento. Great job!😀🤔💪😎

    Friendly staff. Clean and safe. However, no coffee machine, no place to hang clothes, and only bath towels. Parking was sparse. We came in late and got the last one.

    Terrible place. Not a hotel but motel. Rooms barren. Do not clean, replace towels etc... no closet or cupboard for clothes. Soap used my last person and still had hair in it. Dangerous neighborhood. One morning one tenant was arrested. FAR TOO expensive for such a dump.

    It was dirty, hair every where, spots on the wall. Music played loudly for 14 days NONSTOP Only 4 towels in the room. MY POWER KEPT GOING ON AND OFF. so my family and I was sitting up in the dark listening to other people loud music no lights no phone chargers no tv. I called the front off and he said he gonna look into it and I still had problems with the power. This was the worse it was ok some days but most days it’s not worth it.

    When I first pulled up the driveway and thought this look a scene in the horror movie. Once I drove in, I actually liked the layout of the property. It was nice and quiet. I felt safe here. The reason for 4 stars reviews are because there was a strong odor when I first walked in my room. Luckily, I always packed an air freshener on the trip. My standards are not high as long as everything works. Of course, I will definitely be back.

    Had to call a phone number everytime you entered the gate. A key code system should be in place. But the gates do make it feel safe.
