The stay was great, needs to be better equipped at the swimming pool for disabled customers to enjoy pool.

Monica at the front desk was very helpful the next day when I attempted to move to a different one I didn't like that when I went to the front desk and told them that the handicap room that I had actually checked into or that I had accidentally booked the bed was horrible my husband's back at my stuff and the guy at the front desk the morning of the 9th so me I had to wait till 3:00 p.m. which I don't understand why and the housekeepers to get there at 10:00

Reserved a room, didn't know about the 100.00 deposit. Got a room upstairs and the TV wasn't working.

The location was very good for what we were doing! There was not any mention of having to reserve a time to have you room cleaned! 1st night stay, was good, next day i had to find a person who was cleaning rooms to get clean towels! Still no mention of having to reserve to have someone clean the room! We had trash and the outside trash can were over flowing, when I ask the room attendant to take the trash, She looked at me like she did not understand. Come to find out she spoke no english!

Don't set yourself up for failure. Thank God for the automatic lights that come on every time you go in the sink area. 2a.m. got up to go the the rest room, only to find blood on the sheets. Out the corner of my eye saw something crawling. There it was 5 bedbugs, not to mention the one that was squashed. Stay away unless you want to take expensive guest home with you.

The area was nice and close to nearby parks. The room and bathroom were clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only negative was stepping into a pile of cockroaches outside while taking our dog for a walk. The room didn't have any cockroaches, and we didn't see any anywhere else. Some areas also smelled like urine, but overall, I would stay there. It's not the worst, and I felt safe for theosy part.

The young lady who checked me in needs to be trained to communicate better with customers. My room was paid in advance. After taking my information and checking me in, she said it's a $100.00 deposit for the room. I asked if they were going to use the card I used when making my reservation. She could have just said, a card is needed for the deposit if $100.00. Her attitude gave off that she didn't want to be there.

It was clean. And I also like the breakfast. There was a lot of noise last night. People were screaming, fighting, and knocking on a door—not our door, but another one. It was crazy.

The fact there is bums and transients walking around the facility. Found out it was a section 8 hotel. I was stalked by a person that was there when we got back from hotel. Terrible and scary

Nice place to stay for the night. Clean property seemed safe enough. Odd location but relatively quiet other than the train whistle you could hear periodically throughout the night. Non smoking property. Dogs allowed. Staff was pleasant and welcoming. Nice to get the continental breakfast included. Dogs are $15 per night extra and they hold a $100 deposit at check in.

There was insects in my room, the housekeeping changed my bedding with dirty bedding, there's no housekeeping after 5pm

We stayed here twice. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are non-smoking and there are signs all over “No Smoking within 25 Feet”; however, no one enforces it. In both rooms we stayed people were outside smoking cigarettes, pot and cigars. The smoke came right in through the air conditioning vent whether the air was on or not.

There were 2 bugs in my room - I’m assuming from with the crack in the door or from around the wall AC unit. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable but ok. No hand soap. The noise from the other rooms was loud enough and constant. Biggest complaint is that one of the entrances to the parking lot had no light on it and there is a pretty decent curb in the middle that I didn’t see and ran into - not cool at all. Obviously many others have hit it too because it was clearly not the first time it has been hit. The pictures I am adding are with my flash on with low light settings because you can’t see it from the road. Didn’t have breakfast there. AC kept the room cool.

This hotel has rough people abd does not feel safe overall.

Room was clean. We got a nonsmoking room but right when we got in, you can smell residual cigarette smoke. Turned the AC on to air it out for the day and was fine after. Shower pressure is GREAT!! Continental breakfast was offered. Self parking without a fee available!

I got one of the cheapest rooms I possibly could near the area I needed. I expected crap room and didn't care. I was so pleasantly surprised and amazed with how nice, clean and comfortable the room was. Very clean! Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Pool was soooo nice. The staff was very nice as well! I honestly have zero complaints.

Kind helpful reception. Cleaners looked very depressed. On Highway side, you can hear the traffic but I slept well, felt safe. Floor corners in bathroom not great cleanliness but for the price it was great and convenient. It’s also adjacent on one side to a very nice neighborhood. I’d stay there again. Tell them to pay their cleaning staff more!

I asked for nonsmoking And the place smelled so bad the linen all smells like smoke . there’s no security gate and there’s a lot of people walking around . The breakfast was bad we arrived at 8:30 and it was empty the coffee was out there’s no Tea . The lady didn’t refill anything and she was having a loud conversation on her earphone . So rude . We were the last people there so I took the syrup bottle to our table and she just came a grabbed it without asking or acknowledging if we were done . She disconnected the juice machine and we couldn’t even get water . We travel a lot and we never experienced a best western like this before . I want a full refund

I recently stayed at this place, and unfortunately, the hot tub was non-functional during my visit. It was a major disappointment and really brought down the overall experience. I was looking forward to relaxing in it, so this felt like a real letdown.

Great room, newly remodeled with a marble shower and nice amenities and furniture. Tall beds though and a very tall desk that was rough on the shoulders for typing. And noisy squeaky beds wake you up if you toss and turn a little. Didn’t sleep that good… Such a nice property though for the price. Huge pool! Drained jacuzzi.

I'm not sure what compelled our neighbors to have consistent arguments and loud phone calls outside of our door at 2 AM, or to consistently honk their car horn every 10 minutes at 3AM, but the rooms aren't super sound proof. For the price though and how close it was to Cal Expo it wasn't bad. Just avoid if you're a light sleeper or don't want to deal with a random encounter roulette every night.

I appreciated the good breakfast and the staff who stayed busy cleaning tables and restocking the food. There was no real restaurant within walking distance of the property.

There were only a couple handicap spaces in the front near office but none to the rooms on sides or back. Zero spaces. And pet friendly but $15 a night per pet. So paid extra $30 for my little tiny dog. Which brought the price up to not the best deal. Only 1 ice machine in office but it was out of order. Ice is big deal to me

Staff were friendly and professional. My room was clean and everything was in its place. I wouldn’t go in the pool, there was a goose swimming in it and goose droppings around it. There was litter all around the grounds and the dining area had a lot of dropped food that folks didn’t clean up. I think the staff do what they can but it’s really the people that stay here that don’t clean up after themselves. This hotel does the job for an inexpensive, solo stay for one night. Breakfast was decent.

The hotel staff were pleasant. But it appears that people are living here long-term so there are a ton of sketchy people loitering around. We ended up not even spending the night and left.

The picture were not like what it looked like at all. The spa was down. We had a lady and child open our door at 7am and they called us at 6 to see who was in the room. The floors were very dirty and the tub had hair in it.

I was in my room for less than 30 minutes. Seen two big roaches run from under the refrigerator to behind the bed. I immediately checked out. No refund.. After driving 3 hours all I wanted was to check into my room and chill. The area is disgusting. Crack heads and trash everywhere. Don't waste your time with this place.

I have been stayed in this hotel many times. The room is clean, the location is very good, convenient and safe. I found there is short of staff when I check in this time, waiting for 30 minutes. the breakfast is quite good. there are plenty of free parking space.

Stayed one night with my 3 kids ( I’m a mom) I was a little concerned about the neighborhood but it wasn’t near as bad as I was dreading. Close by is a place called vip deli and tacos that was really good at 10pm. Looks like it might be even better during the day. Rooms were really clean. Grounds were nice. Breakfast was good and they were there on top of anything needed. It was quiet. Only down sides, not enough parking and both ice machines did not work. I’d stay here again. Price was great.

Wi-Fi wasn’t the greatest, I kept getting disconnected. The bed creaked every time I moved, sounded like I was sleeping on a metal file cabinet. The staff always looks unhappy or you get that judgmental look before they acknowledge you. Anyways, the room was clean, breakfast was decent.

When we checked into our room there was leftovers in the fridge that smelled like they’d been there for a week, as soon as I opened the fridge to whole room smelled awful. Makes me wonder what else they clearly didn’t clean. The next morning our key stopped working hours before checkout time, and when we went to ask about it the staff fixed the problem quickly but seemed annoyed to do so.

This is a motel not a hotel. The towel doorbhanger fell when I tried to hang the towel. The 'breakfast buffet' they bragged about having was gross.

No the internet wasn't fast and it was hard to connect Honestly there's terrible customer service. I asked for extra blankets and was told that the laundry was closed. I had to plead with them to get a extra blanket. When I asked for my room to be serviced I was told that I needed to ask as early as 11am if I wanted service but that they'd make an exception this time. I was told that I was getting a newly remodeled room. The room had stuff broken inside and burn marks on the window blinds. When they came to service the room they didn't want to dump the trash and put a new bag in the waste baskets, they tried to hand me the trash bags to change the waste baskets myself. I told them that I was having problems connecting my computer to the internet, and they wanted me to bring my computer to the front desk. Then they sent maintenance by the next day to ask about my television. Thumbs down

The card machine is always down , Therese no hot water and when you tell the guy staff that works in the front he doesn’t listen , the staff are sometimes rude and the manager caint help with anything I don’t get any points for the stay becs they were to worried about who paid for my stay they referred me too a third party site instead of there website so I could get my full points very nasty work and when I asked about getting points thy wouldn’t give me th points

I reached out to the hotel a week before our stay. I had a special request, however they never responded to me via Expedia. So I called them. They put me on hold and then hung up. When I called again they picked up and hung up instantly. I didn't even get a chance to ask my question. Then I received a text from SureStay saying if I had any special requests I should reply to the message. I responded with my request and never received a response. I got sent 2 more automated messages, and I continued to reply never getting a response. During our stay we had a question and called the front desk from our room phone. Again, no response. Customer service was non existent. Very frustrating. The bathtub in our room was splattered with paint maybe (?). There was no stopper in the tub so baths were not an option. The bed was clean but the floors could've used some sweeping. Breakfast was awful. There was a spoonful of eggs left, a bunch of sausage in water, cereal and no milk, an empty fridge, and a long line for waffles and toast. The eggs & sausage were gross. Neither of us could eat it. We expected more having loved Best Western in the past, but we will not be staying here again.

I would not recommend hotel. It is not in the best area of Sacramento. There were homeless people crossing through the parking lot. There was hair on the shower curtain, outside of bath tub, and inside of bath tub. Rooms looked decent. Front desk was nice. Front desk did bot answer phone when I called from the hotel room. Long lines for the waffles in the morning.

Room was ok. Bed was squeaking with the spring sounds, the area needs a clean up. Trash around the property. It was not 9am yet and it's a Sunday, the staff said that eggs and sausages are not going to be replenished for the breakfast. It's quite disappointing. Value is good.

Upon entry into lobby, noticed not all the Christmas decor was properly removed. There was a line at check in because of computer issues. Room was fair at best. Floors were clean. Pull down curtain had a huge tear. Sink faucet was loose and there was no hot water. Breakfast options were minimal and there is not enough tables and chairs in breakfast area. People were having to stand up and eat. Lots of litter and overgrown landscaping.

The place looks sketchy it’s dark in the parking lot, the bathroom we had smells like piss. Looks like all the people checking in this place are homeless and people who smokes weed. The breakfast was terrible not enough fruits and the sausages looks soggy and the eggs looked like it’s not cooked all the way. The coffee is watered down. No good reason to book in this place

I was booked in a room for the disabled. I did not request for this. But I just agreed to it because I couldn’t get transferred to another room. I managed. I am a retired Police Officer and I felt very uncomfortable there not being armed. I even place a chair under the door handle at night. The rooms were not kept up and the shower had mold and female hair on the tile ! (Not mine, Iam complete bald). I went there on business travel and tried to book a hotel close to the Cal Expo.Obritz suggested this and what . A mistake was made. Felt unsafe there the entire time. Also the breakfast]there mornings looked more like a welfare]line. People taking all the food they could carry back to their rooms. Very low quality food any way. A lot of misfits roaming around the area

First they didnt have payment for my room which was booked a month prior through Expedia. That took almost an hour to resolve after driving for 6 hours and working. Within 15 minutes of the motel charging my deposit at check in my credit card started getting fraud charges. So many sketchy people around the motel. Had to request for anyone to come empty trash, replace towels, etc.. Wifi was bad and kept disconnecting. Never Again.

The overnight front desk staff was not friendly, was not welcoming at all, asked me 4 times how I was paying for the deposit as if I didn’t hear her the first time, did not have on work attire. Also when I got in my room there was a Bobby pin in the bath tub and hair on the wall which tells me the tub was never cleaned out. Actually in the hospitality industry it tells me the whole room was never cleaned. Cleanliness was 1 out of 10 for sure! I would never stay here again.

The room was dirty . There was food on counter from previous occupant and in the shower there was an electrode sticker from someone that received an ekg . It was a non-smoking building but there was cigarette butts everywhere. And on my last night my key randomly stopped workin, had to get a replacement which was no big deal but was a little scary because I was a female traveling alone , had just left a wedding and was drinking that night .

The friendliness of the staff was pretty much it. Everything was subpar. The walls are thin (I could hear people next door talking and people talking outside). My room faced the freeway, the noise was unbelievable. There was hair on the sink counter (my hair is fine, this one was thick). Breakfast was mediocre to say the least. All there was were eggs, 2 types of cereal, choice of wheat or white bread, waffles and apples.

The check in staff were not courteous and I stood in line for 15 minutes to check in even though I had a reservation fully paid. The parking was very limited, and the layout of the rooms was confusing and inconvenient. The grass in courtyard in the middle was not maintained and full of dog urine and feces. people just hung out in front of their doors around the courtyard, talking and making noise.The smell of marijuana was permeating the walls into every unit. The door to the bathroom was a sliding piece of wood that was missing a handle so you couldn’t close or open it from the inside without prying it with your fingers.

I asked if they can simply bring us supplies she said they weren’t there anymore (staff) to bring supplies so we switched rooms. Shower was still cold. One towel for the four of us, and the bed was broke in half down the middle so woke up with a sore back. We travel a lot, and this was by far the worst stay ever. We asked to talk to them before checking out the were rude and short. Said someone would call us right away-never did.

The employee at the front desk, when asked for a tub stopper, initiallly stated she would get one for me. However, she immediately changed her mind and said I would have to ask one of the housekeepers. This was at 7:05 a.m. on December 14, 2025. At approximately 7:20-7:25 a.m., while walking out of the front office, I heard a noise on her cell phone that was similar to her watching Youtube or Facebook videos on her phone. I quickly turned around to witness her watching personal videos on company time. This, in turn, led me to believe that she was more interested in using company time for her own personal pleasure rather than honoring her employee contract and doing her job.

The room was clean upon arrival. The staff was friendly. The heater kept the room warm but was loud and noisy. Breakfast options were limited, not vegetarian friendly, basic breakfast items (eggs, sausage, cereal, fruit, toast, waffles, yogurt, coffee and juice variety).

However, we didn’t feel safe or comfortable during our visit. The area and the hotel itself felt quite run-down, and the room was not very clean, both inside and out. There was a strong smell of marijuana throughout the building, which even came into our room because the doors didn’t seal properly. At one point, we were woken up around 5 a.m. by guests nearby smoking. On our second night, our room keys suddenly stopped working, a staff member offered to open the door — but they did so without confirming our identity or checking that we were the actual guests staying there. That made us feel extremely unsafe. It was also unsettling to see that many families appeared to be living long-term in the hotel, cooking in the rooms with air fryers, which made the air feel heavy with various smells. Breakfast was another disappointment — our reservation included a full breakfast, but for all three mornings we stayed, there was only coffee, a few cereal bars, and empty trays where hot food should have been, even when we arrived before 8 a.m. I understand times are tough for many people, but this experience just didn’t meet the standards we expected from a Best Western–affiliated hotel.

We arrived after midnight, the property is very dark and not well lit at night. We felt unsafe. The room we were given was disgusting and had a terrible odor. There were stains in places there should not be. The tub was filthy on the outside. I asked for another room and the staff did so without question, but that room was also dirty. It too had an awful odor and the bathrub was gross. I would not have showered in that tub with shower shoes on. My son and I didn't stay, never even got comfortable. I had to find another hotel.

Breakfast closed at 9am. Bad service, the employees were strange. We did not leave the room but claimed we checked out @9. They tried coming into our room to clean and then still called a bit later to ask what time we are leaving. Keep in mind, it was 9:40. Check out is at 11. Then proceeded to try again, they opened the door to come into our room. Weird and unacceptable behavior.

The room smelled of harsh cleaning chemicals. The hotel clerk did not offer a refund despite the fact that the room was barely used, just to leave my belongings for a couple hours. Other guests mentioned the same thing to me as well.

Not recommending at all

The room was fine but the area was sketchy. At night was very scary. Do not let them put you in building ad or C. The parking is small and you have to park away from the room. If you want more towels it can only be requested between 10am - 3pm when housekeeping is there. The door cards will demagnetize if they touch your cell phone or wallet so every night I had to go to the office to get my card working again.

Parking was OK. No encounters with staff except front desk, very nice. Soap and shampoo bottles were empty. TV remote was sticky, not clean, and NO CLOSED CAPTIONS which I normally use. Website I used to reserve room said "heated pool and spa", but found the pool closed, so website was not updated. Serious problem is not having grab bars in the shower. Should be a stall shower, not a tub. Very difficult to step into the tup with nothing to hang on to.

Requested a room on the first floor since I was traveling across the country with my dog. No rooms were available and took a second floor room. Dog was not able to make it up the stairs so she slept in my car while I slept in the room. Parking was terrible and the room numbers are not visible from the parking lot. Also there’s a building A and building B and those were not clearly marked. It was confusing and irritating. Room was small but functional. Needed a running start to get into the bed. I like a higher bed but not one I need a step stool for. Breakfast was ok. Not a good selection but tasted good.

Eerie checkin area, cockroaches in my room, tons of barking dogs in and out of rooms, tweekers, homeless and what appeared drug sales. I left a multi phone charger in the room and noticed the next day. Called them and they said nothing was found. It was my first night on the road, it was NOT left elsewhere. Horrible location, with crime. Due to cockroaches there was no way I was doing the free breakfast. Was approached several times by people on the property. Do NOT stay at this place, the pictures are old and nowhere near recent.

I had booked an 4 night stay for my employee and upon arrival, the room was filthy. He was then moving to another room and while he was at work, the hotel had booked that same room to another individual. Once he came back to his room, all his clothes were gone! The staff claimed it was a "glitch" in their system but I know thats a lie. This establishment is shady and dirty. Hotels.com has tried to contact them but they are trying to sweep this under the rug!

So, we're from Seattle, and we stayed here for the Aftershock Festival in Discovery park, and I got a very certain impression of this place, and I don't know if this is the official story or not, but the definite impression I got was this: This used to be a dirty, run-down motel. Someone bought it, gave the place a very nice facelift, and is trying to run it as a nicer establishment, but some of the local/transient population is still trying to use it for less-than-honorable activities. The owners/staff are clearly trying to fight against this. We had no problems with our stay here. The staff was very attentive, and there was security on site keeping an eye on things. I am rooting for the new owners of this place/the staff 100%. They are clearly trying to run a clean business and help clean up this part of Sacramento a bit. Just keep an subtle eye on the other people staying here while you visit!

I stayed for two nights. On the second night, roaches were coming out of the bathroom. I was disgusted. The place is ok but I honestly think Motel 6 would've been better for the price. I told the women at the lobby. I don't think I would stay again. Also I traveled solo, and I'm a petite woman and I felt semi safe.

When me and my girlfriend first got into the room, it straight up smelled like weed and cigarettes and the bed would sink in when we laid on it, it also has like rips from someone on the back of the bed.

Had to change room because the first room TV did not work. It just wasn't what I was expecting very disappointed . The pool was not clean. They had a hot tub with no water. And I guess on Saturday nights they have a party. For the kids that live there.

Gave 1 key with 2 Guests staying in the room. Not told general things, such as ice machine or pet relief station. Came back for 2nd key and had Another associate assist and had Friendlier/Competent service.

We were initially given a key to a room that hadn't been cleaned. That mistake was rectified, but the room we did get smelled overwhelmingly of bleach. When we came back to our room later the key didn't work.

Bed and room was comfy. We had an 11 month old dog with us and I took her out to use the bathroom, the pet area was disgusting. There was poop that the owners of the other dogs didn’t pick up. Early the next morning, the people next to us were arguing and yelling loud enough to wake up the whole hotel but surprisingly nothing was done about it so we just got our things and checked out a lot sooner than we wanted to.

Pool was great. Hot tub not working when we were there. Pool water was chilly, but it was hot outside so not too bad. Our room looked like it had been recently updated and painted. The bathroom was very clean and nicely decorated. Decent size room with big comfy beds and comfy pillows. Had everything we needed. Fridge microwave big screen tv with lots of channels.

Initially I got a solo room that had issues in the bathroom. The clip of the shower head was broken and I had to shower with a broken shower head and then the drain was blocked and wouldn’t drain the water for about an hour or hour and half. When I complained they said I’d get a 10% off of the room and they gave me a new room. The new room was great but after I checked out and everything, the charge on my credit card was charged the full amount and they didn’t take the 10% off from the final bill. I don’t have the time and effort to complain and be on hold for 30 min. So I’m just not going to come back

The breakfast was pretty good, with a fairly wide range of choices, but they don't have enough tables in the fairly big dining room -- I had to stand in the middle of an empty space for the first half of my meal. People digging through trash can, smoking marijuana outside so all the smoke came inside of my room, noisy, etc. If you are just going to stay inside of the room, it is okay to stay but people living there felt very shady.

There were too many homeless people hanging around the area.. I didn't feel comfortable parking my are in the are nor being out doors when it was dark.

One pool gare doesn't work well. Our room has a section of blind broken off and shows obvious signs that a backup lock was removed from the door at some point. Guests were playing in the parking lot and the back area felt like long-term guests were very at home. Staff were great and very helpful. Our room was clean and neat.

The property location is OK. Not too far from the main stay in the area. Breakfast ends too early, so at 9am, I wasn't even able to get fruit nor drink! The beds are squeaky and noisy! The mattress doesn't stay in place. Room 112 needs a NEW toilet seat! The current one does not fit the toilet, so you sit on BOTH the seat and the toilet! The room has lots of flies! The staff was pleasant but seemed very tired and sluggish

Then I didn’t know you had to request the room to be made up at the front desk, so for my entire stay, my room was not made up, and there wasn’t even a “do not disturb” tag for my door handle in my room. I complained about this during checkout and they said they would call me today to get more details. They did not call me today. I will happily pay extra so I don’t have to walk by the same trash in the hallways and dog feces in the middle of the sidewalks by the pool here. The staff clearly does not care about the cleanliness of the rooms, property, or comfort of the guests and will happily inconvenience you and lie through their teeth about offering discounts, refunds, or callbacks so they can take your hard earned money. I would not be surprised if they did not return my credit card deposit authorization. I would rather pay an extra $30 a night so I won’t have to be in an awful place like this

Shocked at the high quality of this newly renovated hotel. Very very reasonably priced for the quality. Sweet, thorough staff and perfect pool

Great location for shopping and eating out with family.

Cheap but seems run down and dirty

This area is awful, I’ll be pleasantly surprised if my car hasn’t been broken into in the morning. It looks as if the rest of the people at the hotel actually live here.

The room was great for a quick night to stay

The elevator looked like it was about to fall apart

Very reasonable convenient place for on a budget trip

Horrible couldn’t get a cup of coffee in morning they were always out too many people there in dining area minimal towels in room and dispensers in shower were empty figured being a best western would of been better but nope pay a little more for a better upgrade this place is no better than motel 6

Breakfast was amazing and my room was nice and quite. Although the bathtub was not thoroughly cleaned because I used a Clorox wipes in a pouch which I carry and I saw how it cleaned the stain from the tub. Hopefully it’s not everywhere else if how dirty this room can be.

It is an affordable hotel. With friendly staff and clean condition
