The Ruby was a nice get away. It was quiet and a serene experience. The bar was a nice surprise. Our food was good and the drinks were even better.

The right ingredients for a good night's sleep. 4. The bar has limited operating hours. But walking distance to downtown Round Rock and 2-3 very good breakfast places. 5. Small gym, but it works for a quick workout. The staff is pleasant. The entire check-in checkout process is online.

The Ruby was awesome! It was very unique and quiet! The only thing to note is that there are only stairs, so if you cannot do stairs, that would be a problem. They did carry our bags up for us though! Great, relaxing stay! :)

We were greeted by Kyle at the front desk upon our arrival. He was super friendly and made us feel at home.

We spent two nights at the Ruby Hotel. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood and close to downtown Roundrock. The rooms were nice and we had a nice river view with a balcony to sit on. The grounds of the hotel are well kept and they have nice patio off their restaurant/bar area. Very peaceful and they had live music the two nights we were there. Highly recommend.

The entire property is a breath of fresh air. So quiet and low key that is was just a fantastic place to spend a few days. Best part was that my wife was totally enamored with the whole area ! N/A This stay was way more than we expected.

The rooms are thoughtfully designed with a cozy, boutique feel, and the views of the creek are absolutely beautiful—especially in the morning with a cup of coffee or in the evening with a glass of wine as the sun goes down. It’s one of those places where you can truly slow down and unwind. Everything about the stay felt intentional and easy, from the serene setting to the overall vibe of the property. Whether you’re planning a quick one-night escape or a longer stay, this spot is a hidden gem. Already looking forward to my next visit!

Our stay at the Ruby was even better than we expected! Everything was so clean! Was so nice to have our room cleaned and towels refreshed after just one night. Having the bar and restaurant just steps from our room was so convenient! Juan, the bartender, was a favorite! We will stay again! Thank you!

It was a terrible experience and I checked out within an hour of checking in. I killed 2 bugs flying around my room, found mold and spider webs behind the curtains but I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe it was a fluke thing. Then when I went to shower, I found a tick type bug on the floor and was done. I tried to check out and while the hotel staff was nice, Expedia was ultimately no help in getting me a refund.

We enjoyed our stay at The Ruby. Our room had a pretty view of the creek. We also enjoyed the bar. Friendly bar tenders, live music on Saturday night, and awesome signature drinks.

My rating is a three due to certain criteria that I didn’t feel were up to what I expected. However, other things were very good. The best parts were the lovely bar and restaurant. Also the view from the rooms that faced the creek. My room faced the garden and pool and I did not think the view was very special. We had asked for a room with a walk-in shower for my mother. Our request was made right away when we reserved our rooms which we did as soon as we found out that this was going to be the block of rooms reserved for a wedding. They assured us that we would have a room with a walk-in shower. When we got there, we had a room with a large bathtub that my mother was absolutely unable to get into. The staff working at that time were not very accommodating, but in the end did find an appropriate room. So our check-in process really did not go very well. I thought the rooms were very dark in color, but they were clean overall. I had hoped that the pool would be heated, but it was not, so I was disappointed that I couldn’t use the bathing suit that I have packed. The location is excellent being very close to downtown. It was really nice to walk to town to get coffee and even better for the wedding guests who went barhopping after the wedding!

Loved the decor and layout. Was very cute The shower is a complete liability! Flooring made from SLICK backsplash tiles with zero friction. My girlfriend slipped and hurt hip and sprained her foot. Also, there was only a quarter roll of toilet paper when we checked in. Minor issue. But very important.

The location was a little sketchy. It's in a neighborhood rather than a commercial setting. The neighborhood needs a little bit of an upgrade. Cars are parked in the yard and a lack of home maintenance gave us a cause for concern. The grounds and the ambience of the hotel was very neat and quaint. A special little place. Kyle was very helpful and very cordial. He went out of his way to accommodate my son's request to print some music for his upcoming band tryout. Don't be afraid to book this hotel. You will be quite surprised! The initial trepidation was overwhelmingly surpassed by the quaint, tucked in hideaway with many sprinkles of care. We would definitely book again. The only thing that could've been better is out of the control of the hotel. The surroundings to be brought up to par to match the hotel. It's a shame the hotel is skirted by properties of shanty.

We love everything about this property. It’s complete perfection I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in the Austin area.

This place was exactly what I wanted. Hidden away and small but still with a lot to offer. My check person was super friendly and also very helpful. My room was very nice. Super comfy bed but I picked it because it had a huge balcony overlooking the river. Beautiful in the evenings at sunset. It also has a restaurant/bar which sadly I never made it to due to being sick partial time but from my balcony they have a huge patio overlooking river as well. Next time for sure. The pool was also a major factor into a place chosen for me. It’s what I was looking for. Never busy. Just a lot of quiet areas for me to be alone and read. It’s located in round rock but I got into Austin quite fast both days I ventured out. I’m glad I found it I do plan on going back. Thank you for an awesome first mom getaway.

Hmm, the bar is a little too expensive to draw a crowd or go just for drinks. We had one drink each then went to the main street to have another that was, honestly, just as tasty, but the tab was 1/3 less, so we decided not to go back after dinner.

From our entry to exit, our stay was absolutely fabulous. Each person we encountered, from the front desk to the bar/wait staff, were friendly and aimed to please. My only regret was only staying one night. The food, decor, blackout curtains and vintage aesthetic acted as a reset button to today's fast paced way of living. We will recommend and we will definitely return!

The lobby is crampt if more than one guest is in there. You'll definitely need a car to properly explore Austin from here. The staff were aloof.

We arrived earlier than expected. So we checked out the beautiful property, grabbed a couple of iced teas in the Ruby Bar (very cool!) and played a couple of games while waiting for our room. King Suite was lovely, as was the River View from our patio. Very clean, modern rooms with large showers and bath robes (always a nice plus). We hit the Ruby Bar later that night after our afternoon plans. Great atmosphere with live music that is not overpowering. I recommend the Old Fashioned. ?

Rooms are spacious and quiet. Bedding was clean, the windows were huge, the balcony was nice. Ac was amazingly cold! Beds were kinda small for two people per bed. No bathtubs.

It's a hidden gem. Already talking about returning next year Parking should change because outside guests coming to bar use spots that should be for hotel guests only. I had to use a spot quite far from room when returning in evening

The only thing and this was mentioned by numerous guests was that the rooms do not have chairs or anywhere to sit inside the room. They do have two chairs and a small table on the balcony.

The bar is fabulous and tho I wouldn’t walk thru the surrounding neighborhoods, I would def grab a quick uber to the square for dinner. My only complaint is that they don’t allow you to lower the thermostat or adjust the fan on the ac. They will provide a fan if you ask.

The Ruby is fabulous and nostalgic. The only issue was the windows and sliding glass doors were not energy efficient. It was very difficult to keep warm in freezing temperatures.

The place was beautiful and people was friendly. The down side is my daughter was there with the school for an event and both nights someone tired to get in the room. You have to put a code to get in. No they didn’t tell anyone the code they was the only one from the school there. We ask the front desk to look at the cameras but they didn’t have none. Property was too much money for what you get. Rooms were very small, there was an event going on the same night that we arrived so parking and bar services were limited and the pool was closed for the event. Furthermore, the bar does not allow you to take drinks back to your room. But they have beers for sale in the room which makes no sense at all. Finally, the room, beds, and bathroom space was very small. The beds appeared to be full size and not queens. And just the space overall for 3 people was not ideal. The view was nice, but not worth the cost and overall experience.

Finally, the room, beds, and bathroom space was very small. The beds appeared to be full size and not queens. And just the space overall for 3 people was not ideal. The view was nice, but not worth the cost and overall experience.

We also loved the darling bar and kitchen. The service was amazing and the quality of the food and beverages is so good! Also, the hotel is within walking distance of several super-cute restaurants and bars/pubs. Overall, definitely a 5-Star experience!

Also, the room set up is a little odd. There is a very large window in the shower that looks into the bedroom. The sink faucet was broke on one of the sinks.

My girlfriend and I came for a random getaway, The Ruby couldn’t have been a better choice, friendly people, rooms are quiet and full of chirping birds. We had an amazing time here!

Love this place, little more expensive than other places, but it is so quiet and serene there. We have stayed here several times and always enjoyed the peace and quiet. Brushy creek off our deck and birds flitting all over.

When you stay it is absolutely amazing. The staff are super friendly and the check in process was ok. But overall this place is amazing. If I could give 10 stars I definitely would. 2 blocks away from downtown round rock.

This was everything as advertised

Everything was good, the bar was great, but when we got back to the room, there were no waters in the mini fridge. Not sure I’ve ever stayed at a hotel that didn’t have waters in the mini fridge.

This was second stay. Looking forward to the next.

Great and Friendly Staff

Very nice staff and very clean. Rooms very basic and nothing fancy if that’s what you’re accustomed to. Situated within a neighborhood which was kind of random. Could see the river but thickly overgrown area between hotel and river. Good parking.

5 plus stars. Bonus stars for bar on premises.

Very comfortable. The bed was soft, but firm. The staff was very nice. All-in-all, a great stay.

We had a gymnastics meet at Kalahari but didn’t want to stay there so I found this hidden gem 5 minutes away and it was the cutest little getaway. Very clean, decorated so cute and the history behind the place was intriguing. My girls loved the cows coming to drink the water right outside the balcony and just the serenity of being outside. It was so close to everything, just the perfect location! We will be back!

When we first got there the gentleman at the front desk was curt and off putting via is tone of voice and his general body language. The room was a nice but it smelled musty and like paint as soon as we walked in. The bathroom had numerous issues; ceiling had a repair that was clearly not hidden and the shower leaked heavily and the sink was still dirty from the last guest pink toothpaste was still on the sink and floor when we arrived. The view was nice from at balcony area. The walls were extremely thin think of motel 6 thin. The bed was comfortable but lacked quality sheets and the fabric clearly was overused.

The Ruby Hotel in Round Rock is a hidden gem! I loved the peaceful creek view and even spotted cows across the way—it felt so serene. The room’s modern decor was stylish yet cozy, making it a perfect retreat. Can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful boutique hotel with excellent service and bar.

We had to stay downstairs because my husband would not be able to claim stairs. Cement floor made the room very damp and cold.

The room was spacious and thoughtfully decorated, with a balcony that overlooked a serene creek. Sitting out there in the morning with a coffee or in the evening with a glass of wine was a highlight of our stay. The sound of the water made it incredibly peaceful. The on-site swimming pool was another standout feature. Although it was too cool to swim, it was impeccably clean, surrounded by chic lounge chairs, and had a laid-back vibe. The bar offered fantastic craft cocktails and a good selection of local beers. The staff were welcoming and attentive, making sure our experience was top-notch. Whether you're looking for a relaxing retreat or just a stylish getaway, this hotel delivers on every level. Can’t wait to return! 5/5 stars!

Room was very clean, comfortable & quiet. Front desk & bar personnel (Myra & Tom) were friendly, accommodating & informative ☺️ Recommendation to spend time in nearby Georgetown was a good one 😉

It was amazing, as always! The staff went above and beyond at the hotel and the bar to make my stay comfortable and memorable. Every time I stay at The Ruby, which is often, I feel like I’m coming home.

Oh and the hot water doesn’t get very hot. We had it on high with no cold water and it was luke warm. Maintenance said that WAS the hot water. Really!! Overall I was disappointed. (Positive…weekend brunch food was very good)

Always love staying here

This is a little treasure to stay at. I come with friends to hang out and enjoy the area, and it's great for a mini getaway with my partner. It's got a lot of charm, and the staff is so welcoming!! The drinks are great, too!

I highly recommend The Ruby. I’ll definitely stay there again! It’s a few blocks off of a main road but it’s tucked away from the noise and hustle and bustle. Very friendly, very accommodating! It’s not a fancy place but it’s nice! The bar has delicious food! The management was in touch with from the time I made my reservation until after checkout.

Great stay!

I went to the onsite restaurant/bar on Friday evening and they had an excellent happy hour with craft cocktails, a harpist/singer with drummer, and I had one of the salads for my entree. It was cute and I can’t wait to arrange a trip back with my girlfriends and a staycation for my parents who live nearby.

Have stayed here twice and was great both times. Very much like being on a retreat! So peaceful, serene!

Wonderful pool.

The property was fabulous, the food was great, staff was lovely. It smelled as though the room had been recently painted and it smelled very strong. There’s also a bright light on the thermostat that kept me awake. I’d recommend this hotel and I’d stay here again but I’d ask about fresh paint and expect to have to cover the light.

Completely unresponsive by text (their preferred mode of communication) or by telephone. Don’t expect to receive assistance after you check in. A shame because the property and rooms are nice. Management response to no response was a lackluster apology. An obvious problem given it happened 2 days in a row
