The only thing we liked was the location. No hair dryer had to ask for clean towels and sheets/towels were not changed daily. We stayed 4 days and the sheets were not changed until the third day. We think that sheets had been from previous customers because when sheets changed on third day, they felt crisp compared to the sheets on first day kind of damp cool. Will not stay there next time if there is a next time.

Room was never cleaned, found a used condom under the bed and insects. The mattress must be super old since I duck into a hole in the center which hurt my back and led to terrible sleep. Woke up on Monday morning to some one blaring music so loud that the glass in the kitchen area started to rattle which woke my girlfriend and I up. We immediately left.

There was a spot on the floor and on the chair. The toilet kept running so I did not feel safe flushing it. The front desk guys were unprofessional (they did not give me the spiel about the WiFi code). The ad also indicated vegetarian breakfast when there was none. You definitely need a car because nothing around there is walkable.

The room had a terrible smell and the window was open to try to fix. After 30 min, I couldn’t stay in the room so I went to front desk and checked out requesting reimbursement for charges.

This has been one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The room had only 1 towel and a almost finished roll of toilet paper. When I asked for more. They literally told me they could give me the towels but were not sure if they had toilet paper. The next day someone was trying to get into our room. They had given our room to someone else. There was only wall outlet working. I do not recommend.

The room was not very clean, the shower was dirty and the drain was clogged and drained very slowly. The shower control does not operate very well and the water pressure is low. During my stay i requested my room to be serviced with clean sheets and clean towels. This did not get done.

The blanket had blood on it. I think they don't wash it well. They have coffee but only 2 sachets of sugar. The bathroom has mold. They only gave you two towels for two nights. But the ladies at the front desk are nice.

The side door handle was broken, so we can walk out but not get back in. Also, the lighting in the kitchen part of the room was dimmed. Maybe just make it brighter in the hotel room

The staff was amazing they were very respectful and nice The door wouldn’t open, the handle was fallin off. The toilet was runnin The Whole time I stayed there. The bathroom tub floor was very uneven like it was broken underneath it.

Room wasn't ready when we got there at 4:15. We waited over 2 hours for our room to be ready. Even at that point, there were issues with our reservation. According to hotel, our payment had not gone through even though I had email confirmation through booking.com that it had, and also bank statement confirmation that the payment had been successful. To be fair, we were eventually given a room with 2 full beds when our reservation was just for a room with 1 queen bed. It was very obvious that the front desk worker was extremely overwhelmed and it seemed like the hotel was short-staffed. Also, the shower in our room did not work. Upon checkout, the payment issue was still unresolved and they said they would reach out to us at a later date.

I had a great experience at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The staff was friendly and professional, and they made sure I had everything I needed for a pleasant stay. I especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere and convenient location. I’d definitely stay here again

They were able fix the issue of being double charged. The room I originally booked wasn’t available so I was given two full instead of queens. I found dead roaches and bugs between the bed and wall. The towels were stained.

Bed was decent 1st room was actually already occupied , so they got us a 2nd room. It had such a strong bad odor ( moth ball smell) that we had to change again. The faucet was loose in tub , light bulb was not secure & flickering , noise was a little loud from frwy - frustrating .

Hotel and room was very nice. Our room was spacious. The only thing is it is right by I-35. I was awakened a few times by cars passing by on the freeway. It can be a problem for light sleepers.

Overall, not great but not awful. We were in Austin for F1 so paid like double for the room (hotels were sold out). Hotel says smoke free but rugs don't smell great. Hotel is old. Beds are full size - not queen size. I wouldn't stay there again. If we do F1 again, we'll book a hotel well in advance.

The fact that I was able to book a room that night. My room, particularly the bedroom smelled like someone peed in the corner. It was very strong and hard to sleep but, I was too tired to go through the process of asking to move to a different room. I just suffered through. Also, the parking lot was very sketchy. I was able to park next to my room but, the cars next to me looked like they had been there for a while. Covered in bird poo and leaves.

However the gentleman forgot to put that the room was taken and we were woken up at 3 am by staff trying to get into the room. Clearly the employee could see that I had my mother in a wheelchair and I asked for a room on the first floor. She chose to give me a room on the second furthest away from the elevator. People were coming in a variety of times, We could hear the running and talking through the night well past 1:30am. This is not a place for families. This is more a place for long term rentals, workers who stay in various locations. The Candlewood we have near me is sooooo much nicer. I’m very disappointed in this location. If it wasn’t that I had already booked the return trip, I wouldn’t have stay a second time.

I enjoyed my stay with my family. It met all my prerequisites. The suites were a fairly big and nice. The only downfall was that the stove did not work and it had a weird smell but not a dealbreaker. Overall I rate it an 8/10.

Close to venue location for a Celebration of Life. It was out dated but clean. They had Dove body wash, hand soap, shampoo and conditioner. Palmolive dish soap and paper towels were in the kitchen. Refrigerator was full size and clean. Huge pantry! Iron and ironing board was provided with plenty of hangers. We had the two room suite. No airflow to the second room. We had to sleep in the main area with the queen bed. Coffee maker and coffee supplied but no coffee cups. Actually, the only drink-ware was a small juice glass. We didn’t cook, but only one small pot was available. The only silverware we needed was a knife, they had 1, and it was dirty. The AC was very loud. If I can upload the video, please turn sound on to watch it. UPDATE: unable to upload video. But it did sound like a jet taking off next to the bed.

The front desk people were very helpful. Good points to them. The rooms are rundown. Missing Items like soap, toilet paper. I had to be given another room because the TV did not work properly. The phone did not work either. The whole place looks rundown. The location is good.

It needs to be updated. The drapes had holes in them and were dirty. The pull out sofa mattress had holes in it. The shower also didn’t work. The water just trickled out. The reason we went with Candlewood suites was because we stayed in a couple of them in Texas and they were spotless and they also had a recliner chair that my husband loved. He’s had numerous back surgeries and needs to sleep in a recliner. He said the recliner was quite comfortable.

Property is perfect location for us out of towners wanting to enjoy the downtown Round Rock nightlife. Uber ride just a $5 ride away plus the facility is nice and comfortable to get rested up.

A/C didn’t work. Stuck on 78 and set on 68. Faucet for the bath was about to fall off. Most lamps didn’t even turn on. Seems like they just painted over a old hotel. For the same price you could find somewhere way better to stay.

There were also 2 men there, who i believe were family of the manager because they were grabbing items from the "store" they have available and did not pay for the items they took. In the morning, while we were still sleeping the janitor walked into our room! Horrible experience. Do not recommend.

The property is infested with roaches many of the rooms have non-functioning air conditioning and they do not clean the rooms was there for a week and the only thing I was able to get was clean towels that I had to recycle through the front desk myself the facilities are poor as well they have laundry on site where the dryers do not work.

The elevator is in need of repair as it makes an amazing amount of noise when in it. The office chairs in both rooms require replacement as the cushions are just old and you feel the metal bracing. The hotel is very clean and the associates very nice. Some money needs to be invested to bring it up to the standard Candlewood is known for.

I stayed at this place based on the “star” rating…dont be fooled, it sucks! The elevator was broken for two days, the towels had stains, an iron but no ironing board in the room, one side of each of the queen beds was literally up against the wall, way over priced. There are plenty of other places to stay in the area, do yourself a favor and choose one of them!

The air filter for our A/C unit clearly hadnt been cleaned in years. I have a picture if needed. Front of house staff was a mixed bag. Some were really pleasant and others seemed like they didnt want to be bothered. Bed was uncomfortable. Bathroom was pretty nice and kitchen in suite was solid though.

The air filter for our A/C unit clearly hadnt been cleaned in years. I have a picture if needed. Front of house staff was a mixed bag. Some were really pleasant and others seemed like they didnt want to be bothered. Bed was uncomfortable. Bathroom was pretty nice and kitchen in suite was solid though.

The AC wasn’t cooling enough. There were stains on the wall and bathtub. There was a used kitchen sponge in the sink and the dishes were still in the dishwasher.

I had to book last minute due to issues with previous hotel. The staff at Candlewood was great. The front desk clerk named Veronica was wonderful and helpful with getting my family taken care of. The hotel was clean and well kept. Next time we are in the area I will be staying at Candlewood!!

I went to the hotel anyway & checked in. The room was not cleaned adequately & there was old food left in the refrigerator. The fire alarm went off at 1:30 am. There was a bug crawling on the floor this morning. The phone was not working & I had to call the hotel repeatedly to get the Wi-Fi code. I have stayed at candlewood suites in other areas, but this was the worst & not acceptable for a major hotel chain.

After using all the towels in my room I go to use the phone to call for front office or house keeping but the phone doesn’t work. So I use the stairs (elevator didn’t work) to visit for office to see if housekeeping could clean and sanitize that bathroom. The front office worker’s response to what happened was “that sucks” and I was given extra towels, trash bags, and cleaning spray to do the work myself (have pictures as well.) For what I paid, I was not expecting to have to clock in as a custodian during my stay.

Great clean room with awesome staff. But had to haul my things up 3 flights due to no elevator. I had bowling balls and golf clubs plus two weeks worth of clothing and food, so it about killed me. No one offered to help.

Desk very nice. Hallways dirty. Room not very clean. Dirty dishes in dishwasher.

Exactly what we're looking for. Our room was spotless, large, quiet and comfortable. All of the staff were very friendly and most helpful during our 6 night stay. Only weekly room cleaning unless requested but 24 hour service at front desk is immediate for anything needed. Kitchenette with surprising amount of dishes, cookware etc in the room and more to borrow from the desk. Washer/dryer available. No swimming pool - not an issue for us. Close to old downtown Round Rock restaurants. Easy access to I-35 so lots of restaurants, shopping & sights nearby. Their rates are extremely reasonable. This is our fourth stay here in three years visiting family and we've not been disappointed for any reason with our stay at Candlewood Suites.

I’ve stayed here before, but today, I didn’t seem to sleep as well as before. Could be that bed was too soft, and/or also seemed to notice more noise (highway traffic and train). But stay overall was good.

I bought food and left it there, went shower came out and saw a roach nibbling on it. I had to toss the entire thing away. Bathroom could have been cleaned a little better as well. Had a little bit of a smell but it didn’t really bother me as much. Staff was ok, wasn’t as friendly but possibly she could had a bad day. Besides that, the weather was great! Lol

Will never book this roach infested place again. The room they put us in had roaches everywhere.

Bed was super comfy and nice big bathroom! I was on the first floor and not bothered with noise from parking or the highway. Wifi was strong! Tv was a little small ftom the bed maybe due to the larger room size or my eye sight getting worse. I would definitely stay again! The nice touches with folding the towels and tissue makes me smile. Bonus... the best donut shop in Texas is a 6 minute walk away!! I recommend getting up super early lile 6 am to beat the long lines!

It was a nice room, but the smell in hotel was not pleasant, I dealt with it because I wasn't in the room but for about 6 hours. But it could be improved.

I was unable to sty overnight due to unforeseen emergency.

Chelsea the night front desk attendant was phenomenal and gave excellent customer service. For what I paid I was shocked at the room quality and overall experience of the visit.

Great. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Had everything I needed. The only con is that there were shady people hanging out in the parking lot all the time.

I was on 2nd floor this time. I think I prefer staying on first floor better. Just seemed like it was quieter. Stay was good. I like the convenience the kitchenette gives over a regular room.

When we arrived, they did not give us the rooms we booked. The GM told his staff that people who book online through sites like hotels.com don’t know what they are getting, and put us in a studio instead of a 2-room suite, but tried to charge us for the larger rooms. (Implying online bookers must be ignorant). In addition to not getting the larger rooms, they didn’t have the rollaway bed I requested. One of my children had to sleep on the floor, which was filthy. I asked if we could cancel, but they said hotels.com had to send the cancellation; therefore, I would have to get ahold of them. The chairs in the room were disgusting. The stove and dishwasher were broken, and there were roaches. It was a very unpleasant experience, and most of the staff acted put out that we had legitimate concerns. The 2nd night (we stayed 3), they gave us one different room, then locked us out of it on “accident” the 3rd. I emailed the GM, he never responded. They attempted to give us a very minimal discount after I checked out, but it was so small, it wasn’t worth the trouble. I could go on, but bottom line, it was a terrible experience.

The place was great. It was quiet and clean. I liked that they actually had dishes and silverware even if you didn’t use it. There was only 2 minor issues, which I reported to Erin at the service desk at checkout. I found a spot on the carpet that was soaked (wet) so I had to make sure to avoid when walking around the room. The other was the shower handle broke and I was unable to shut the water off completely. Aside from that, I really enjoyed my stay there and would book again.

The first night our AC wasnt cooling very well and they weren't able to move our rooms so they brought us a fan and gave us a discount for the first night. The second night they had the AC fixed so we were happy about that. I loved the setup of the room. Our room came with our own bedroom and then there was also a bed in the living room.

The property was clean, and the hotel staff was friendly.

It was a decent hotel. Typical Candlewood. More business trip oriented than casual stay. There were some maintenance issues with the hotel. The elevator needs to be checked. The card reader on my door was intermittent and there was a wet carpet smell on my floor. Other than that it was a good stay. The staff was courteous and helpful.

I liked the friendly atmosphere and how you were made to feel comfortable like home away from home. No dislikes here..
