Homewood Suites by Hilton Sacramento Roseville

The place is in a great location to the hustle bustle of Roseville. The hotel seems to be up to date on, and it was clean. the pool was closed, the facilities were out of propane, it appearred that the maintanance staff needs to be up to par for such a Hilton

Staff were wonderful. They were dealing with what they had. Especially the receptionist working Sunday evening she was great. The pool was out of service and between the two grills and fire pit there was only one propane tank available that we had to move around from grill to fire pit.

Place didn’t feel that clean and they only service your room every other day. Ice machine on the first floor was broken, and at one point the lobby women’s restroom stalls were either clogged or out of toilet paper, which makes me think they aren’t regularly checked for cleanliness or functionality. Front desk staff was helpful and pleasant. Overall a B grade would be generous.

The room had a really funky old food smell. Our room was on the forth floor and had a horrible water leak from the window that soaked the floor (carpet) and the window frame. When we called the front desk they apologized but said there was nothing they could do, no other room to move us to. The morning manager was much more helpful. We were also overcharged $62

The check in was easy. The staff at breakfast was friendly and there was a variety of breakfast items to choose from. The room was clean and comfortable. The only thing that was lacking was the silverware - only one fork. I’m sure if I asked for more, it wouldn’t have been a problem.

If I could, I would give them 6 stars!!! Super clean, super comfortable, staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment we entered. The suites are like being at home and if you need anything extra...all it takes is a call to the front desk. The breakfast was beyond expectations....juice, fresh fruit, cereal, oatmeal, eggs, bacon, sausage, toast/bagels/, english muffins/breakfast tacos, fresh tortillas and....WAFFLES!!! When traveling, I will ALWAYS look for the nearest Homewood Suites by Hilton. Yay for your Roseville staff.....a super team!!!!

What stood out too is having 2 televisions in the unit with a personalized greetings. Checking in and out was quick and easy. The property was clean . Great location near all restaurants and shopping. In addition to your stay they charged $12 a night for parking. Not a fan of getting charged separately for parking that should always be a part of your lodging. Stay cost.

The furniture in the room was uncomfortable. The couch and chair were not comfortable at all. It would be helpful if there was at least one pot or pan to be able to cook anything. Maybe a bowl or two. We requested for the room to be cleaned on two occasions and it was never done.

I suppose it would have been nice to have drinkable water in the room, but we haven’t heard of any hotel doing that so it definitely wasn’t expected or required.

The hotel only had 2 of my 3 nights booked with hotels.com. I was unable to figure out how to resolve the third night error due to no phone number available on the hotels.com website. The staff at Homewood suites were very unprofessional and treated me like dirt because I booked through a third party instead of directly with them. They evicted me from the hotel for the third night. This was the worst experience ever. I finally figured out how to contact hotels.com by asking ChatGPT who told me how to find the elusive chat bot and ask for a live agent 3 times. Only then could I get my refund. I was treated like dirt and evicted from the hotel for using hotels.com. Never again will I stay at this disgustingly managed Homewood suites. I will also never again use hotels.com because they don’t make it easy for guests to get support when their bookings go wrong. If there had been a phone number to call I would have got my 3rd night at the hotel and not evicted by the incompetent staff at Homewood suites.

Variety of typical food for buffets and nice to see Mexican style taco/ burrito bar. Good coffee and overall good breakfast selection. The rooms were good size but the furniture bulky and outdated . The bed comfort was lacking and the pillows not comfortable so not the best rest. Hardly any water pressure in the shower head and bathroom fairly small and the counter top way to low . Nice kitchen area that I did not use as only stayed one night. Reserved two queen size beds but not available at check in and given one queen size bed . Requested king size and was charged $50 extra. It appeared they are not preferring dealing with booking.com

The breakfast was basic carb fest with a little protein and tasted "ok." This was not a amazing meal, but it filled the void. Our one bed slept all of us! At least it was comfortable and King Size! This was the best quality of the room. Read below. Front desk lady was super welcoming and helpful! The highlight of our visit, in a facility that needs attention. Is your management and investors ever required to stay in each room of their hotel? I think they should. Just one random night, without being announced. Like undercover boss! Somehow, all of these free breakfasts are the most bland and tasteless offerings. Just a bunch of empty carbs and a few protein choices. Could we be fed some fresh fruit. Berries, Kiwi, Pineapple, etc. (Not grapes), veggies and lean animal meat. They don't need heavy spices, just a few fresh choices. It really would send a person off in a better way. Our room was spacious, but needed a update badly. The ROLL-A-WAY Couch was HORRID. This was something out of a horror movie. There was no way a child could sleep on this barbed wire bed, let alone an adult. PLEASE Replace this torture device right away. *The staff had not even provided the proper bedding on the couch (bed) or in the room. Amazing! Again, please stay a night in each of your rooms. A little light goes a long way. The front door lets massive amounts of hallway light into the room. Sit in your room for 5 minutes and you will see. Black out window drapes only work a little at night, when there is no light beaming in the the rooms. In our case security lights filled the room. As soon as the sun rises the drapes let the daylight in. No way to sleep in if you wanted to. In our case it was our alarm clock. They need to rethink the idea of black our drapes and a Light proof entry "wall." The refrigerator was nice.... and noisy! Again, stay the night in your room and this monster will breathing in your ear all night like it did ours. Also please Fix the broken thermostat was great fun to work with. Now ad the fact they charged us $12 to PARK our car on the property. That made me laugh. Really, how else are we supposed to arrive from out of state? Walk? Uber? Phone a friend? This made a expensive room just that much more of a comedy. $230 for this room for one very short night. We arrived at 11pm and left at 7:30 am.

Having a full-sized refrigerator tucked into the kitchen area behind a wall so that noise was dampened was a good design choice. For someone who has to bring their own food, having a refrigerator and microwave were great. There was also a small stove area, but we didn't use it. The outside temperature was moderate so we didn't have too run the air very much; the system wasn't too noisy. The bathroom was okay, but designed so wide that the toilet paper roll was almost out of reach. Also, the only nightlight for the bathroom was a light switch that was slightly illuminated; that faint light was the only nightlight for that area since there are no outlets in the toilet/bathtub room. It barely sufficed. The breakfast was good and it was very nice to not have a TV blaring while eating. The amenities of workout room and pool all looked attractive, but didn't fit in our schedule. The same with the next door mall and bookstore. In general, I would recommend this hotel.

I had aunts in the kitchen, the fridge wasn’t working. The housekeeping… well it seemed they organized it only. Stayed 7 nights. Won’t stay there anymore. It was a hassle to get towels, night time front desk was horrible customer service.

One of the best hotels I have stayed in the Sacramento area. The room was reasonably priced and included a separate bedroom, suite, kitchen, two televisions with good program offerings. Shopping is walking distance and easy to travel to surrounding areas. Very clean with great free breakfast. I will definitely stay Homewood Suites Roseville again.

The bed was really creaky very old. The windows were broken. You couldn’t open the window. The whole window would come out was broken and the bed seems like it’s about 50 years old. It was very uncomfortable. I didn’t like that the bed was very uncomfortable. The windows were broken and there’s no lights in the parking lot super super dark and I saw a man walking around trying to see if you could open car doors. I think you need to put lights in that parking lot where the cars park along the fence.

It is a little dated and 2 of the 4 washers were out of service.

The pass keys didn't work on the outdoor doors to get inside the hotel. Other guests I spoke to had the same issue.

We stayed here for a nearby wedding and it was quick, easy, and conveniently located. The staff were nice and the room was great.

The bedroom was ok. The bed itself was too hard, and not comfortable. Our neon concern there was black mold in the bathroom we were unaware of. The staff/hotel should have been aware of this issue. Black mold doesn’t form over night and it takes months. Proper cleaning wasn’t done. The hotel had refused to compensate anything due to their own negligence. Black mold can make people sick. They had to close off the room even. We weren’t aware until the next morning when we alerted hotel staff. There was no apology or follow up. The management never followed up.

We stayed for 13 days in between the escrow close of our home. They were helpful keeping us in the same room for the duration. Staff like Eric (Sunshine) is truly made for customer service at the front desk. The rest of the staff not as friendly or helpful. Free breakfast daily and it had a good variety. The property offers free office area, gym 24 hours, pool and hot tub, ample parking and it’s very clean. The rooms are spacious and it was a good home away from home.

The room was neat and tidy. On the 2nd day we noticed that the kitchen trash had not been emptied from the previous tenant. When I called the front desk, the woman said "That can't be right!" (meaning I made a mistake). The housekeeper that came was very nice and helpful. The front desk, not so much!

The bad was terrible. That’s the worst bed I’ve ever slept in in my entire life when I got to get up in the next-morning there was no the coffee condiments wasn’t all there. I left. It came back that night and room service wasn’t in yet still so I had all the same stuff as I I didn’t have coffee for the next day at all so service was terrible. The front counter people were great they were excellent. They accommodated me great they were great people room service are the people that does the rooms they suck and the bed sucked really bad so that’s all I could say. Sorry for a bad review but I’m just being real.

The bad was terrible. That’s the worst bed I’ve ever slept in in my entire life when I got to get up in the next-morning there was no the coffee condiments wasn’t all there. I left. It came back that night and room service wasn’t in yet still so I had all the same stuff as I I didn’t have coffee for the next day at all so service was terrible. The front counter people were great they were excellent. They accommodated me great they were great people room service are the people that does the rooms they suck and the bed sucked really bad so that’s all I could say. Sorry for a bad review but I’m just being real.

The hotel environment is good, but the room is not clean. There are stains in the sofa and dining chairs. There is also a light in the room that is broken, so I reported it to the front desk, but the staff said no one repaired it. As for the breakfast quality is not very well and there are not many food to choices.

Property looks good in outside. Dated on inside of rooms. Room on smaller side. They don’t tell you but will hit you with a parking fee when you arrive. Nobody monitors parking lot. Food at breakfast was good. Not a cheap rate where we stayed.

It was excellent with the exception of the lobby. While away visiting relatives or on vacation I’d rather watch something other than political news in the lobby. Perhaps sports, movie, tv series, etc. Politics is not something I like to watch.

My wife and I both stayed there and end up having itchy rashes and seems to have itchy spots on our arms and bodies burning and after leaving the hotel.

This hotel is clean and comfortable. It is in an excellent location close to the Galleria and The Grounds where our granddaughter had a volleyball tournament. Breakfast was excellent with good options. The hotel is a little dated.

The room was good. Bed was very comfy. There was no creamer for coffee, the shower gel and hair conditioner was empty.

The parking fee is confusing as the hotel has a dedicated lot and is in an area where I wouldn't think non-guests or the general public would eat up all the parking. Plus, I was not sure how they verify who has paid for the parking as my license plate was not collected upon check-in and I was not given any verification to put on the dashboard. Overall, really enjoyed my stay and would stay again.

The experience we had there was great when i came to the room and dinning. No issues. Only complaint is the front desk both check in and check out either took and long time for someone to show up or they didnt show up at all during check out they werent rude but were not welcoming. Also the keys dont open the side door like they should so we had to go around everytime through the lobby. Despite this we would stay again.

The service was excellent. The room was clean, but you could see the carpet needed to be steamed cleaned due to stains that were seen in certain spots. The bed and bedding was nice and comfortable. The couch needed to be replaced, very uncomfortable. Generally, for the price, the whole sitting room furnature was bad and needs a complete replacement, dated, tired, ugly. Kitchen was nice, clean and updated. Flatware old and mismatched, looks like things you'd use for camping and not a nice hotel stay. Bathroom and area was clean and good with good products. We didn't see any roaches as mentioned in another post. The place was roomy, that was a plus.The only real issue is that the room needed a complete update for the price [well over $200/night]. If the room looked as nice as the lobby, I'd have no complaints.

I’m the shower chair in my room was half way pulled out of the wall, so it would not fold up so I could not take a shower.

We were stranded in Sacramento due to car problems. The Subaru dealership gave us this recommendation. It was the perfect place to hang out for 2days! The facilities were perfect and we were thankful it was near lots of restaurants and shopping. We would definitely stay here again!

TV didn't work and had to unplug and plug back to get to work. Room never got cleaned and the front desk was short on towels. Kind of annoying spending so much money but the AC works great.

Non the less throughout our stay, we were very disappointed to discover a number of issues regarding bacteria, un clean counter tops, 2 cockroaches, a dirty coffee kuereg and cups, spillage of some sort on the mattress and fresh trash left in the trash cans. Not only that I communicated with the front desks and the cleaning manger I was promised compensation for our stay if I emailed the manger the other photo. I have emailed and called twice still no response not only was my room dirty the customer service is terrible.

Our hotel room was not clean. Crumbs on the floor, sheets looked stained, dingy curtains and other linens. They put us in an accessible room (unprompted and unnecessary, but we didn't think it would be bad), which was spacious. However, the accessible shower was terrible. The water pressure was non-existent and the shower curtain was not long enough to touch the floor. The water was impossible to contain within the shower, leaving the bathroom floor soaking wet. The showerhead was also pointed towards the corner, and it was difficult to maneuver it. I’m not sure how this was supposed to be functional, even for an able-bodied person.

Lady at the front desk was very sweet when I first showed up. My travel was delayed by 4 hours and it had been a very long day. She was pleasant and made the check in process smooth, even offered me water and a snack knowing I had been traveling all day. Excellent service!

Said there was a pool and hot tub but was not made aware that they were out of service and then couldnt get a refund so i could go to a place that did have one. Couch in the room is torn/ damaged and i was told simply sorry. I think for $400 plus i should've received better service

The staff were very friendly. The community area, the lobby, the pool area was very well kept. The rooms were a bit dated, the furniture was a bit worn.

We woke up the bed bugs bite with a baby. We had to check out early.

We checked in very late at night because of construction at the airport so we called to let the hotel know we may not make it in before midnight. The gentleman working was very sympathetic about our situation. Ended up arriving at about 11:50pm, so made it on time! Was greeting with a smile, easy checkin, and he answered all of our questions with enthusiasm. Room was clean, spacious, and exactly as described on Orbitz. Cleaning staff was just as equally friendly, hard working, and had smiles every time we say them. Will definitely stay again at this location when in town for basketball tournaments. Keep up the good work!

Mold in showers, hair all over room and bugs

We are just about done using hotels.com. This hotel was absolutely terrible. Kids running up and down the hall until after 11 pm. Staff not supportive in enforcing quiet times and large groups noisy all night

This place is spotless and the room is very modern look and clean spotless, comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Nothing go wrong in this place.

When following up with front desk staff, they were rude and unprofessional.

No one was at the front desk at 8:30 PM to check in. Had to wait out in the cold with two kids for 30 minutes and finally called hotels.com in order to get someone to call the hotel because they were not answering

Room was GREAT!! We just didn’t have enough towels for our family of 4. There was also no bedding in the room for the pull out sofa so I had to go ask for it. The hot tub was also closed down and that was a big bummer for us. Other than that the experience was great.

Got a non smoking room and got to the room and it was very strong of cigarettes. Got moved to a different room and it was okay. There was a mess of cereal in the hallways in the morning.

for price, definitely not worth it. almost zero service. they have a pull out bed but the bedding you have to get yourself from downstairs, the bath amenities are glued to the wall (shower gel) in another room that the shower is not in? bed is hard as a rock. overpriced - wouldn't stay again

The hot tub was down! Literally booked one night at a hotel because it was my birthday and all i wanted to do soak in a hot tub. The hotel was nice, staff was friendly, breakfast was great, bur disappointed there was no hot tub working.

Our shower|tub would not drain upon arrival Friday eve. I was told that the maintnance department was gone for the day & that they would handle it the next day. This didn't happen at any point during our 2 night stay. Our phone in the living room had no cord & was not useable, only 1 pillow for the pull out bed, rooms are extremely small & early morning young man at the front counter to help customers, sleeps in the breakfast room & doesn't even know you are there, needing help! Elevator floors look like they haven't been cleaned in months. Beds are very old & uncomfortable. I am extremely dissapointed in this "Hilton" brand hotel & will never stay here again.

Got charged 12 dollars for parking which was never brought up or mentioned and I got a ride there and did not park any vehicle. Bed was like laying on a piece of cardboard on concrete. Fridge rattled all night super loud and did not work well. Worst hotel I’ve stayed at in years!!!!!

We just wish for movies on demand of more channels available and a guide of operation for all the channels.

Hair from previous guest was on the ceiling of the bathroom. Our reservation had 2 adults and a child, there were not enough towels for all of us. There was not enough bedding for the pullout, we kept calling the front desk from the room for about 30 min, no answer for 25 minutes around 9:30pm. Tried calling from the outside line, still no answer either. There were also no pots or pans for us to cook with. We could have saved over $100 and stayed at a Motel 6 and been happier.

Pool was warmer than hot tub. Check-in was slow & I was the only one checking in. Asked for late check-out & was given 30 minutes but key didn't allow me in after noon so had to go back 3 times to get back into room to get my stuff. Kids were banging on the doors in the middle of the night & running away. When I called down to complain to get someone to stop them I was put on hold too long so I hung up to call again but no one even picked up the second time. When I asked about it the next morning they didn't know about it so it's not like they were busy taking complaints that night.

Coffee maker was broken and asked 3 times for one and nothing ever showed up so we had no coffee in our room for 3 days. Also toilet was clogged when we got there and again asked for it to be fixed 3 times and nothing was done.
