I couldn’t believe how many good reviews for cleanliness this Hotel had. When I first walked through the door I noticed the lamp was in tatters above the check-in desk, the carpet was torn in many spots. The lady who checked the Sim was very nice and helpful. There is no elevator so we walked to the third floor our room reeked of weed. Carpet and walls were in terrible condition. First thing we did was went to Walmart and bought Lysol and wipes. The beds were pretty clean. So that was about the only positive. But this is probably the most worn down hotel I’ve stayed at in a very long time. I should’ve known that being pretty inexpensive, we were taking a gamble.Just tired of fake representation in photos.

I have had 3 overnights here and 2 of them have been noisy which affects my sleep quality. The property is good though. I did wish there was a vending machine, didn’t see one.

We stayed for a week and could have used a working washing machine. The smell from the dirty carpet was pretty strong and the workout room was super hot, so hard to use. The couch, chair, and table weren't in great repair. We did appreciate the two room suite with refrigerator, WiFi, and microwave. A semi-trucker parking in the parking lot near our window was pretty noisy for a few days straight. Would have appreciated a keyed back entry for security.

There were a lot a places paint was chipping. The shower was slippery with some mat put in it and then you could feel the give/break in the bottom of the shower when you stepped on it. The office chair was broken and there were stains on the sofa and chair. There was no remote to the TV in the bedroom part of the suite. Staff was very friendly. It was nice enough for just someplace to sleep over night for a funeral. Not many amenities. Beds were comfortable. Easy ground access but no elevator. Good location/proximity to places. It is pet friendly! Well lit accessible parking. Breakfast was simple and we chose to eat elsewhere.

Breakfast was good, could choose eggs and sausage, or oatmeal, waffles, juice, coffee, oatmeal, etc. All good. Apppreciated they mad the bed each day, emptied the garbage and replaced the towels Cleaning dust on the dresser and other locations.

The hotel is not in the center of Roanoke, but has lots of shopping, restaurants, and an AMC multiplex nearby.

Things were fairly clean but it was an old building, you could hear the people above you talking, walking, and fighting. Outside getting into their cars

Everyone was friendly. I could hear my upstairs neighbor walking around, but a nice stay for the comparative cost.

The hotel was run down. The bed made an awful noise when I sat on it. The sink took a long time to drain. The shower was awful- the water was either scalding or ice cold, when I tried to adjust it the water turned off. The only positive was the employee at the breakfast bar, she was friendly and kept the breakfast items stocked.

Location, just off blue ridge parkway. Friendly lady on reception. Ot was filthy. We had a 2 bed suite. The carpet was sticking, the sofa was grey but mainly black with dirt and had nuts on it, the carpet had food crumbs all over it. We didn't eat breakfast as I was worried if rooms were that dirty what would kitchen be like. Wouldn't stay here again even if it was free. Oh and there was a cockroah in room. No lift

I’ve stayed at this property a handful of times when making a trip down to Virginia Tech. It’s outdated and could be cleaner but it’s safe and good enough for a short stay. I’ve never had any issues and would stay again.

Staff is very friendly but the hotel is very outdated and could use some updating. The exterior door that leads to the 2nd floor does not lock and is held together by tape. Not secure at all for anyone staying in the rooms near that door. The couch had some very large and noticeable stains as well as most of the towels.

The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. Perfect blend of reasonable price and convenient location. Hair dryer didn't work, but I didn't even mention it to the staff because I didn't absolutely need to use it. I'm sure the staff would've fixed it or replaced it, had I asked. Would definitely recommend and consider staying here again if I find myself in Roanoke in the future.

Staff was kind and helpful. Room was big and comfortable. The bathroom was really my biggest complaint. The paint on the light in the shower was peeling and looked bad. The shower door was difficult. The toilet was unsteady and the bathroom door was heavy and hard to close.

I liked that the hotel was close to everything I wanted to go to and see. The manager was very kind and let me access my room before 3 PM, as I had arrived out of town earlier than expected and was very tired from driving all night. I liked that the hotel was set back off from the main road and had restaurants on both sides that diverted attention from the hotel, giving me a better sense of security. I think the hotel could use some upgrades. I don't remember seeing an elevator. The hotel is only 2 floors but I'm 61 years old with bad knees. The furniture is looking worn. I saw wood veneer peeling off chairs and tables and cabinet doors sagging from their hinges. The pillows on my bed were uncomfortable. Two long pillows would have been much preferable to four 1' x 1' pillows. My mattress was bowed in the middle.

There was a bunch of young kids staying there i guess for the prom weekend and there was a fight that broke out above our room and then it spilled out into the parking lot where my car ended up getting damaged and the cops had to be called and we didn't get much rest

The room was configured oddly. The carpets were not clean. They were BADLY stained but they Aldo had surface dirt that could've been vacuumed up There was dust on the furniture. I'd've left but I was too tired and booked nonrefundable.

This is one of the worst stays I have ever had. It is a very dirty, run down hotel that appears to be not cared about at all. The outside of the property was not well kept; trash in parking lot, food, cigarette butts everywhere including right at the entrances. The carpets in the hallways and rooms were disgustingly filthy. It was dusty, stains on towels and sheets. The walls were paper thin. You can hear people stomping above and slamming doors in the halls and even conversations in other rooms. Everything about this place screams they dont care. On the phone we were told they didnt have a deposit and then they charged a $100 deposit at checkin for something so nasty and completely not worth it. Save your time and money and stay somewhere else. Id rather sleep in my car.

Breakfast was good. I asked them if I could have an extra blanket and the guy in charge of it openning the supply room wasn’t there. So I couldn’t have my extra blanket for my daughter.

The room needed some upgrades. The carpet appeared to have burns in it, some of the fixtures weren't in the best condition (ex: AC wasn't functioning correctly), and the light switch in the bathroom was cracked open. Some of these are minor fixes that would go a long way to improve the feel of the stay. Staff was nice at check-in, but the people staying there the night we did left a lot to be desired. A lot of folks in and out late into the night, being loud abd disruptive, and it smelled as if someone was smoking in a neighboring room- I woke up feeling like I smoked a pack of cigarettes. Not totally the property's fault, but pushing tenant etiquette would go a long way. I stayed here due to the higher rating on this site, but I was completely underwhelmed.

Bed was a little hard for my liking. Also, we were awakened twice during the night by the fire alarm so it was difficult to get a good night's sleep.

Housekeepers was rudely rapping on the door yelling and trying to get in the door. Accused me of smoking in the room which of course I wasn't. But she was really rude. But, I forgive easily, she probably smelled it on my clothes.

Not sure how this property got a Good rating - it is Fair at best. Old, worn down, dingy, loud- not well insulated - heard everything from corridor to upstairs walking.

Bed was comfortable. Towels are very small and thin.

Entire hotel smelled like smoke, room was dirty, morning staff ignored you. The night staff was ok. They tried giving me a smaller room than what I paid for. The shower floor was broken they glued a mat over it. They said of the lights in room are broken but it should be OK. I refused. Microwave was filthy looked like it had been used because timer was still on. It was in a good location but dirty stinky . Ants in the room Expensive for what I got. Took pictures and filing a complaint

The room was fine. The parking lot had not been plowed even though it had not snowed in 3 days. It was covered in ice and snow, which was very dangerous. If I had known they wouldn't take care of clearing the parking lot, I would not have booked this stay.

The same eggs and sausage that we ate our first breakfast were the same eggs and sausage after 6 days. They never added any fresh or discarded the old. They didn’t stock any yogurts, or anything else in the fridge. Asked for additional pillows but were told they didn’t have any extras. This was a very disappointing stay. We would not stay there again or recommend.

I wished the room had a bathtub instead of a shower only. also, I felt unsafe in the shower because there were no safety bars.

We were for just a quick one night stay. We felt safe and the area appeared to have plenty of dining options. It is what we expected to the price. The main negative was too much disinfectant in the room. The smell was overwhelming. Otherwise, like I said, what we expected for the price.

We have stayed at this hotel on 3 separate trips to VA. It's close to our family and is reasonably priced. We like that we get a suite with a living room area and separate bedroom area. Lots of room. Very nice staff.

I did not know there was an animal fee as this website just states "pet friendly" so we stayed with our two small dogs. I received a phone call on the second day stating we needed to pay the 80$ for the dogs which we had no problem doing once we got back to the hotel. Once we arrived to the hotel we found that we were locked out of our room with all our belongings inside because we hadn't paid this fee that we weren't even aware of . This management group is ridiculous and has no tact. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again. We were there to collect a dead family members ashes and these low life's made the experience even worse. They were so unprofessional and disgusting.

This management group is ridiculous and has no tact. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again. We were there to collect a dead family members ashes and these low life's made the experience even worse. They were so unprofessional and disgusting.

Although the staff were very friendly both the rooms we booked stunk of stale smoke. We could smell pot being smoked as we walked down the hallways. The carpets down the halls are stained and dirty. I covered the couch and chair in our suite with sheets off the bed because the couches are so stained. The beds are comfortable and clean but the overpowering smell of stale smoke is hard to deal with. I booked non smoking rooms.

Breakfast was really good and the lady in charge was amazing. If it weren't for the bug bites our breakfast experience may have overwhelmed our overall negative impression.

The AC kept up with the heat and humidity, but there was damp smell in the bed side of the suite when it was running. Staff cleaned the filters, and even though that didn’t seem to take care of the matter completely, if we kept that unit off when we weren’t there, that helped. The breakfast served was good but the same each day - eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt, fruit and bakery items. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again in the future.

The hallways, lobby and common areas were all dated, drab and did not match the exterior. However the rooms were nice. The rooms had a unique floorplan that I have never experienced before but it worked. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower had hot water and good water pressure. We love this place. My husband and I are new to Virginia and house hunting and have stayed in about 5 hotels. This is our favorite and we decided to stick with it. The staff is awesome, the rooms are clean and comfortable,the are has a lot to offer and the breakfast is always good.

I stayed here while I was waiting on my new place to be ready to move in. I was very pleased with my stay here. The staff was very kind, and accommodating. If I ever need a hotel room in Roanoke again this will be my first choice!!

This hotel offers a lot of room for a decent price. The air-conditioning was not working in the sitting room part of our suite, which made it uncomfortable. Full disclosure...I did not request to change rooms, so I can not comment on how accommodating they were. All in all, a clean space to spend a couple of nights.

The room was still dirty in many areas. The double beds, although they looked in good condition with new sheets, had hairs in them the moment I pulled the sheets back! The area by the mini fridge had visible crumbs and dust. The pull out bed sheets were horrific, tattered, torn and stained with gross orangey red stuff. It was an inexpensive stay and we weren’t expecting anything fancy but we were expecting cleanliness. Ew.

building is older so it looks well worn and has some musty odor, but looks adequately cleaned. maid service daily was nice. For the price it was just fine. In a nice location with shopping mall and numerous places to eat very close by.

It had a bed and good shower. The only issue is the room was stuffy upon check in because the air had not been on. It took a couple of hours to cool the room down to the desired temp because it had been about 80-85 degrees that day.

Perfect location for our trip. Spent two nights, ate breakfast one day only because it was the same items both days. The chair in our room needed repair and they very kindly brought us another chair. Pleasant stay.

One of the most disgusting rooms I’ve experienced. Walked in after a 12 hour shift at the hospital, took my shoes off and used the restroom, washed hands and used the HAND TOWEL. Was QUICK to realize I didn’t even feel comfortable not having shoes on. Being tired, and in an unfamiliar area, didn’t want to search for a new place so I thought I would at least inspect the bed. Pulled the sheets down only to find small little stains that looked like dried blood throughout the comforter and sheets, along with burn holes in the comforter as well. Dried blood on the wall by the window. Floor was damp, and smelled like mildew. They wouldn’t give me a refund because “the room was used, bed unmade and towel used and I was in there for 30 min” which is untrue, had to wait in line 10 min to even check out. 10/10 do not recommEnd

Really quiet place. I didn’t have any issues and staff was there whenever I needed anything. Really recommend this place to stay.

Ground level room. Downstairs from lobby. Felt like a basement. Sink was clogged. Coffee maker with no tray to actually make coffee. Didn’t feel safe. Noise from one room to another.

Accomadating us with a convenient room traveling with our dog. Walking distance to restaurant with outdoor seating so dog could be with us!

The bed was very uncomfortable. There were roaches in the room. I was unable to shower because the knob fell off when I tried to turn it on. I told the front desk about the shower but they did not seem very concerned. Definitely will not stay at a Sleep Inn ever again.

Was looking for nice hotel while traveling. Have no complaints. Front desk clerk was nice, our room was clean and comfortable.If in area again would book again.

There was too much outside noise compared to previous visits. I couldn't tell if it was relative to some HVAC issue (our room stayed comfortable) or outside the hotel

We stayed for 6 nights due to the good reviews we had seen. After check in, and unpacking, we noticed the sink drain didn’t work and the shower dripped constantly and loudly. We notified the front desk and got a new room the next day. Breakfast quality was ok but the juice dispenser was out of order for 3 days, nothing else cold to drink not even water. Eggs all gone one day, it just seemed that maintenance was lacking. Staff was very nice though. Just nothing got repaired. Good location, but not to the standard of a Choice Hotel that we are used to.

Best band for your buck! Suite was large and fit the family. Everything is dated but that’s why it’s cheap! Plenty of restaurants and stores in the immediate area!

It was a little wear due to age, the hotel was clean and much better than I expected. The price was wonderful also!

Quiet and close to everything

I m a night nurse and they let me check in early so I m thankful so much for that. And frnt desk Thursday 8:30 in the morning she is very nice So I m there every week even it is little far from my client.

Everything was as expected. Fast and easy check-in. Staff was friendly, room was clean.

For the price, it was what we needed

Have a family of 4 and to have 2 queen beds a pull out couch and 1.5 bath is very convenient. Clean and a great location.

The staff were very great. I stayed 5 nights, 2 of the nights people were constantly running or heavy walking above me. Besides that it was good.

My stay was nice. Check in was easy and breakfast was ok. I didn’t enjoy the bed because it was a little too hard for my comfort. However, overall it was a pleasant 2 night stay.

My daughters and I stayed here for one night after being without power for 4 days. We just wanted a night of normality and, thankfully, our power returned the next day. The room was larger than expected which was great so I could get some good sleep and my daughter could catch up with online friends without disturbing each other. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The hotel shows some wear and we had to take the stairs to get to our room but that didn’t bother us. We felt safe and the hotel provided everything we needed.

The hotel was packed/sold out due to power outages in the area. My room was next to the breakfast area and the reception area. Guest talking could be heard all night and microwave/wafflemaker chimes were constant beginning at 6:00 am. PLEASE have a large supply of courtesy earplugs for guests!! I had to buy a pair the next day for the remainder of my stay. Ugh.

I have stayed here 3 times now with my family for different reasons, and I’m always so happy to stay here. The staff is always super friendly, and the rooms are always so nice and clean. The breakfast is always really nice and fresh too!

Hassle-free customer service, nice breakfast, close to everything - Chuck E. Cheese right next door! The room was spacious, and the hot breakfast was good. Breakfast was served right up until the end with plenty of food. No scraps at the end. A big snow storm had rolled in at the time and it was very nice to know you had a hot meal ready. The children also loved the room (great big soundproof room). Beds were comfortable. Room was clean. We were snowed in for 2 days. Staff was friendly. We have since made another booking and somehow the dates were wrong when we booked. The property gave us no trouble with the refund. We will definitely be staying there again soon. The pictures online look a little fancier than reality, but it was still a good time.

I LOVE THE SET UP OF THESE SUITES. WITH 2 BATHROOMS !!! FANTASTIC

This is the 3rd time staying here, and it’s always so nice. The staff is genuinely nice and accommodating. This stay was due to my power being out several days due to an ice storm, and they made sure we had everything we needed, even extra blankets! The area around is great for shopping and there’s lots of dining options.
