First time stay. Amazing property, everyone was attentive and helpful. We definitely want to come back.

Amazing hotel, clean rooms, the bar was great, and the pool was relaxing. We had an issues with the elevator, but management addressed the concern and even provided a free night in the future due to some circumstances around the incident. Nice to see that this hotel was sorry for I problem and wanted to make it right. Rarely see that anymore with any business. Will definitely return

Georgous, but pricey. Would have loved to go to the speakeasy on our first night but it was closed for a private event. Not open during 2nd night. Food in the basic restaurant was OK, but we found more economical options in d-town Roanoke across the bridge on 2nd night.

Beautiful amazing well kept hotel, would strongly recommend you pay the extra ten bucks for the valet parking. Or you'll be doing a whole lot of walking, hotel room was absolutely accommodating, perfect view of the beautiful roanoke mill mountain star.....

Loved the property and our room, however my mom is handicapped and the valet was less than helpful when we got there at 10:45 pm. I had one tell me where to park but didn’t give me real good directions so I had no clue, and when I came back to talk to them about it she avoided me completely. I went to the front desk and the gentleman was more than accommodating. He apologized and I told him it’s ok but maybe the girl that is at the valet could be educated a little more. All in all it was wonderful.

The location and the facilities within the hotel were great. Enjoyed the restaurants and bar. The bed was uncomfortable.

Very spacious and comfortable room with a great view! Easy and quick access to downtown. Parking is also on site and easy to access.

Only one thing we didn’t like — the $18.00 per night parking fee.

The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, and the entire hotel was impeccably maintained. We especially enjoyed exploring the stunning common areas, which are filled with history and character. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, always providing friendly and attentive service. The location is ideal for exploring downtown Roanoke and the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains. Whether relaxing in the hotel, enjoying the dining options, or simply taking in the beautiful surroundings, every part of our stay exceeded expectations.

Gorgeous facility, parking was easy with valet option. We had ants in our room, it was super clean and comfortable, but our ordered dinner trash was in a bag beside the trashcan and when I woke up the next morning ants had COVERED the bag and floor.

Great place to stay to break up our road trip from ny to tn! Very convenient walk to downtown without having to be directly in the downtown. Beautiful historic hotel with very nice rooms and great showers. We loved the lobby bar, beautiful.

The hotel is a top notch from the moment you park at the front entrance to your departure. The rooms are clean and specious. Everything is modern and in a brand new condition. The front desk, bar and the restaurant are provided excellent service. Valet parking was great too. Highly recommend.

Love this hotel! The only down-side about our room was the bathroom. We were in room 239 and the room was nice and large and then we walked into the bathroom. The door just missed hitting the toilet. Beautifully appointed but absolutely no room. Extremely disappointing.

The staff was so friendly-those greeting us at the front door, the associates at the front desk, the bartenders and servers and the staff at the spa went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The hotel is gorgeous and very well maintained. We had a special weekend and will definitely stay there again when we return to Roanoke.

The staff was great but the rooms are nothing special and are way over priced. Dinner left my girlfriend and myself with stomach issues most of the night.

My room was a double window room. It led me to believe that I would have view from both windows. Unfortunately all I could see from one window was roof and shingles. ?

From the time we entered the building until we left, everything was great! The food was wonderful as well as the wait staff. Everything was in walking distance, we didn't need our car for anything. The only thing I didn't like was maintenance working on the roof which was right outside our room early in the morning.

The location. The ambiance. Most comfortable bed and pillows. The pool and hot tub were closed. We picked for my niece to swim.

Beautiful hotel with great history. The staff at the front desk were so helpful and welcoming even with us checking in late in the evening. The nice gentleman at the front while getting my keys ready, explained the story of the hotel and all of its many transformations which was interesting to hear. We will return again if we end up needing a place to stay in Roanoke!

I don’t think you should have to pay $20 to park.

Hotel Roanoke always delivers. It's decor, the staff, the amenities are always top-notch. It's like a trip back in time when quality mattered. It's why we've stayed here so many times and will continue to, it's nice to be taken care of properly. You don't just feel like the next random customer that needed a bed for a night or two.

Two things that could be improved, 1 a microwave in the room or at least accessible and the hot tub and pool should be enclosed. The hot tub was not even warm, much less hot. It seems they spent a lot of money cattering to conventions while neglecting couples, families and children. We didn't see a single child during our 3 day stay, unfortunate.

The stay was not enjoyable. Our room was never cleaned for the previous guests. When we went to the front desk, they advised they didn't have staff there to clean the room and that they had no more rooms available with 2 queens, only king rooms. Being that there were 3 people, that wasn't the optimal option, but we had to make it work. The next morning it took us 6 hours after check out to get a call from a manager. They couldn't refund or do anything about our situation because we didn't book directly with the hotel. This had been a hotel we have stayed at several times in the past and never had an issue, very disappointing.

This was a nice, stately hotel with Southern charm. Located steps away from city center with plenty of dining options within a few minutes' walk. Room was comfortable and had a nice view of the courtyard. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Excellent breakfast buffet! Highly recommended!

This is such a beautiful hotel! The interior and exterior are gorgeous, the staff or exceptional. I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel.

But I will with hope that the hotel can can make a minor adjustment to improve the situation for wheelchair users…..Parking was somewhat of a challenge. We had an enclosed trailer to transport our son’s off-road mobility device and his power wheelchair. Valet parking was not an option due to the enclosed trailer. And self parking was a bit of a walk in the street, as the sidewalk from the parking lot to the hotel involved stairs and a missing ramp at the end of the sidewalk near the parking lot. I’m not sure how the situation could be improved, but it just seemed a little odd that we could not access the sidewalk. Fortunately there is not heavy traffic there and the cars that passed us did not seem bothered. We always adapt and overcome so it really didn’t bother us. We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Roanoke. The property was beautiful and the staff was very friendly. Our hotel room was very nice looking and comfortable. The only complaint I have is that the mattresses was too soft and unfortunately resulted in mild back pain.

me for the 19th as they said they would. This meant that I am charged for 9th for 2 nights and did not have a room for the 19th. So I rented a room. Now I have a charge for the 9th and the 19th. Have paid for 1 and will be billed for the other. Not good. As far as Hotel Roanoke service was good and place is clean. Also beautiful!! Do not deal with Expedia when booking.

This hotel is truly classic and iconic in this historic town. The room is clean and comfortable with a touch of luxury and artistic vibe. We had dinner at the Pine Room and breakfast buffet at the main dining room. Both experience were terrific. The food choices and quality of their breakfast buffet exceeds our expectations. House-made smoked salmon is phenomenal.

Love this place. Saddened to see the Piney Room was stripped of it’s name sake. Most of the paneling removed in the remodel. Don’t get it. Don’t pat yourself on your back who ever approved this.

Wonderful hotel! We had heard great things about Hotel Roanoke and it lived up to the hype! Had a wedding to attend and this was the preferred hotel! Robbie was our server for breakfast and she was so kind and engaging! We will definitely return to this property when in Roanoke again!

Very comfortable and clean rooms. Dinner at the Pine Room was lovely.

Amazing hotel.

My hamburger had a piece of brush bristle in it and there was something float ing in my glass of water. The kitchen in the grill really needs better sanitation practices.

This property is close to downtown you find extra activities to do downtown. There are plenty places to eat, you can walk to Taubman Museum. The hotel is beautiful, room is clean, bed comfortable. Front desk staff was nice.

Hotel Roanoke was beautiful. It’s a classic hotel. That’s very well-maintained beautiful clean and just really nice experience. Overall the rooms were beautifu, clean, beds so comfortable… I wish I had tried this hotel earlier and if I’m ever back in Roanoke will definitely stay here again

The hotel was amazing. There was a small situation where we were told the mothers day breakfast was free but it wasn't. At first security was called instead of the manager but eventually they cleared it up and everything was fine. I would definitely recommend the hotel for a nice stay. The bar staff was very friendly

We had a large corner room. Unfortunately one window just looked out onto a roof but the other had a view of mountains in the distance. An above ground walkway that goes over the railroad tracks connects the hotel to the main downtown area with lots of restaurants and shopping.

It was a memorable trip. We had 5 rooms, 15 people. The beds were amazing. The breakfast bar was top notch, both the food and the wait staff. Having a coffee shop in the hotel was a huge plus! Need some steps in for your daily quota? The halls just keep going and going. Beautiful and welcoming place in a great location.

Second time at the Hotel Roanoke and it never disappoints. Fantastic hotel all around

Our bathroom flooring was dirty. The waitress we had never did refill our water glasses even though she came to the table four times.

Our stay was amazing at this hotel! Every person on staff was so kind and helpful, our room was beautiful, and the hotel was so elegant!

The hot water took at least 15 min to get hot, the faucet was broken, u could nt put the stopper down and the faucet u could twist all around… the shade was broken as well for what they charged per night nt acceptable.

I had a short stay but overall I had a comfortable time at the hotel. Would stay again.

Excellent venue. Every member of the staff we encountered from the front desk, vallet, housekeeping to the bartenders and waitstaff were incredibly polite and helpful. Highly recommended this hotel!

Love this historic hotel! Have stayed here many times and love the new updated rooms and lobby bar. Plus a great little coffee shop downstairs. Quaint, quiet, and very convenient.

The fact that I had an unknown distant relative check me in the first day was a surprise! Rooms are spacious, clean and modern for such a grand hotel.

The fridge in the room is not working properly.

The room is way too small for the price with a small bathroom too. Upon check-in the front desk associate said that I would be charged a $50 “incidental” fee with my room charge and it would be refunded upon check out. They lied to me and I was never refunded, instead the hotel charged me a room service fee as this $50 when I never ordered anything to my room. More upset that the associate wasn’t honest with me. Also had to pay additionally for parking when that wasn’t disclosed with my reservation and eating here was outrageous with meals being $20 or more.

The staff was extremely polite and helpful. They were able to answer all of our questions. The breakfast was delicious.

One of my favorite properties to stay at when I'm traveling. Great amenities, location, etc. My only complaint is that parking is too expensive for Roanoke. I feel like I'm paying rates commensurate with a much larger, more crowded city. It would be great if they could bring those down.
