    I live in North Carolina. I reserved a room I called earlier and they told them we would arrive until 11 or 12 AM. They said that would be fine as long as I got there before 2 AM it wouldn’t be canceled. I got there at about 1130 I walked in both. The staff were very rude. They told me they already canceled my reservation and then she told me that she didn’t want to give me a room because she thought I was local. I have a nc id. I stayed there back in March and had a great day Nicole the front desk lady was wonderful. The two that were upfront the night that I checked in were absolutely horrible. She called the police at me for absolutely no reason I have a video and I will be calling corporate.

    We had a reserved room that we paid for in advance for two children and two adults and when we arrived, all they had was a king bed. We arrived late, and we had no choice, but to all pile into one bed, which was in my opinion, not right clearly not very comfortable talking to.

    The gym looked adequate and was being used. Seems like a good conference location, large open area by their bar, eating area. The 'breakfast' was a joke. Maybe it was just a bad time of the week, but they should just dump the idea of serving a breakfast and partner with some local place and recommend their guests grab a real breakfast. La Quinta and AmericInn have better breakfast options.

    Outdated and uncomfortable. $200 security deposit is a little crazy for a hotel that’s not updated or have a nice bed or comforter. Whatever you do don’t get a room near the laundry area. It was loud all night long. $130 a night for what looked like motel 6.

    We stayed at the Holiday Inn Roanoke Airport for two nights. We didn’t request an ADA room, but that’s what we got. The primary issue is that the room is on the first floor directly across from housekeeping’s work room. The noise in that area is loud. Beginning early morning, we heard washers, dryers and the activities of the housekeeping staff. It’s wonderful that the housekeeping staff laughs and enjoys working together… that’s not the issue. The issue is that the hotel assigns guests to a room right across the hall. Secondary issues with the room, are 1) no hooks in the bathroom for towels, etc. 2) no full length mirror (room is huge… not sure why there wouldn’t be one) 3) the remote for the shade over the window didn’t work, but it doesn’t matter because it looks out to the restaurant. There would be no privacy if you have it up. We didn’t take the time to go over these issues while there because it was a short stay. Not sure that we would stay there again with so many options in the area.

    The only complaint I have is that we reserved a room that had a tub/shower combo because of traveling with a 2 year old and that room was given to someone else so we had to struggle with getting her showered instead of a tubby which is hard with a toddler.

    Confirmed a $25 pet feed on the phone on arrival was told it was $75. A continental breakfast free at most hotels cost $9-7. Yet there were no eggs or bacon. Saw a cockroach the size of a half dollar in our room. Would not stay there again.

    This hotel is old and a little seedy looking and we have never before seen a room with NO closet. There were just two coat hooks and to make matters worse they were in a corner making it impossible to hang even a single one. Unbelievable. My wife had nice dresses to hang.     The property was fine - a mid-level hotel like any other. But the service was very poor - the front desk was excruciatingly slow every time we interacted, with a continuous line of frustrated travelers. Never seemed to cause the staff to work harder or faster. The cleaning crew kept trying to enter our room despite the "do not disturb" sign on the door. Then they deactivated our cards midway through our stay. All in all, extremely mediocre service which means a lack of decent management.

Never seemed to cause the staff to work harder or faster. The cleaning crew kept trying to enter our room despite the "do not disturb" sign on the door. Then they deactivated our cards midway through our stay. All in all, extremely mediocre service which means a lack of decent management.

We couldn't get a bottle of water from the cafe or the bar, and we were told that they were sold out. We didn't pay a lot and i guess it all came out about as expected.     This was the perfect day for us traveling with a service dog. We noticed many others enjoying the facilities as well with their pets. Our only disappointment was that we planned on the restaurant and bar being opened for our stay. Which is why we actually booked here. It would’ve been nice to know that they decided to close the facilities for the week so that we could prepare and plan accordingly.

    We had a great breakfast with organic and free range options. The room was nice and clean. There are other hotels in the area and there’s not much to walk to but it’s a short ride to downtown area where there are plenty of restaurants. I would stay here again.

Furthermore, our room service request needed to have been handled more appropriately. It's conveniently located near major stores & restaurants; literally nothing is too far away from this location. The clean pool was definitely the icing on the cake. The pool room was nice & warm giving the water a much more tolerable approache to dive right in. Pool towels were provided & plenty; just wish they were located inside the warm pool room opposed to the freezing corridor.

The bathroom was fine but again... the layout. I don't understand why the toilet paper is so far away. Only one elevator that I counted, the elevator was dirty. I was in town for a funeral and was going to be staying in Roanoke for approx 4.5 days... I wanted to be comfortable. The room at the Holiday Inn did NOT meet my standards.

    Booked the room over a month in advance. Checked in tired at 11pm only to find out our room was given to someone else. Instead of two beds, we had to sleep in one bed with our 16-yr old son. Not even a sofa in the room. We obviously got the room they give last. Didn't even get a wifi password on checkin and the front desk wouldn't answer the phone so we could ask for it. On checkout nobody greeted us or asked how our stay was. Very disappointing and will avoid Holiday Inns in the future.

    It is definitely understaffed. Restaurant and bar were not open for the posted hours on a Saturday and Sunday. Room had many issues - broken tv, no hairdryer (which was never brought after I called the front desk), and toiletries were not stocked.

    I arrived and it took 10 minutes for the guy manning the check-in desk to arrive to the check in desk. I was given a room on the 2nd floor. I stepped off the elevator on the second floor and immediately smelled marijuana smoke. The entire floor smelled of marijuana smoke. I asked for a new room and was provided one on the fourth floor. The desk manager neither apologized for the inconvenience nor for the fact that the hotel is a non-smoking hotel and yet it reeked of smoke. The new room's shower had dozens of spots with mold and mildew. I have stayed at multiple Holiday Inns in the past and this was by far the worst experience by a mile. I do not recommend staying at this hotel if you are in Roanoke and need a place to stay.

    The hotel itself is OK. But if you’re looking for a place to eat, you can avoid the bar and restaurant down in the lobby area. It was never open and the drafts for the beer we’re not operable. Staff was ok and the room itself was clean. Probably would not recommend with all the other hotel choices around this area.

    Restaurant/bar closed for dinner due to a banquet. Pre paid $17 for breakfast on Expedia App, because it was not included in the rate. arrived and it was $10. Breakfast staff approached people for a tip and then they wouldn’t have to pay for breakfast at all. Although no one seemed concerned if you paid or not in the restaurant area. On top of this, my pre paid reservation was there, but the hotel still charged me and I had to go back to Expedia to have them contact hotel to get my refund. The Hotel has 2 names- a bit confusing. Room was clean bed comfortable.

    Good stay. Check in with Expedia was slowed because of a charged tax holding up the process. Otherwise standard for hotel. Nothing bad. Nothing great.

    Property was lovely, but people kept walking by our window which faced a vacant field. There was a beat-up mobile home on the parking lot, that seemed to be occupied. I worried that our car might not be safe and that the occupants might be trying to look in our window.

    Total of 8 guests were given rooms that were already occupied. I walked into a room that a couple was already there eating dinner. Very dangerous. They claimed it was a computer glitch.

    time I have used your service, the hotel has charged a higher fee than Expedia quoted. I have had to pay higher fees each time I used your service. They you would send me receips which I have never received. This is very discouraging. Thinking of not using expedia anymore

    Found toe nails in the bed and pizza crumbs all over the room, and dirty rags all over the bathroom, and a burning smell coming from the shower. All the trim work in the hotel is coming off of the walls. All of the hall ways are dirty.

    The location was convenient to downtown, Blue Ridge Parkway and Route 81. However, when we were going to take showers the next morning we discovered that we had no bath towels.

    Nice property, but the restuarant was limited, the bar closed at 9:00. The next morning we went to breakfast at 8:45. The food that was there was ok, but many items were gone and not replenished.

    This was a business trip. We had to change rooms 4 times due to roaches. We will stay at another hotel on the next visit. This was not a great experience.

    The bathroom was not clean. The shower had black in the grout. We were also hassled by an employee at breakfast who told my husband to give him a good tip and he would let them in to eat. Kinda bold and rude. I paid extra for breakfast and I guess I was supposed to get a ticket for breakfast but was not given one. Overall disappointing this trip.

    We lost power for about 3-4 days. The lady at the front desk was very kind to let us check in earlier that check in time. It was very stressful due to the holidays and Christmas being the next day , but she made the transition easier. She said she was new & I didn’t catch her name, but god bless her.
