Location and breakfast were perfect. Bedding was extremely comfortable. I had booked two rooms. One with a king bed and the other with two queens. Did not get a king bed. Also one room had a broken toilet seat and that same room did have an insect issue.

The breakfast was good with good selections. The hotel was clean and well kept. I requested a walk-in shower (not handicapped) instead of a tub and extra pillows as the site stated a tub or shower. Receipt of my request was confirmed, but neither request was honored. I was so tired from driving all day that I didn't argue the point. It was just one night, so just went with it. I will add that the bed was not as soft as I like.

We came to Roanoke for the USA Cycling Mountain bike championships . The Fairfield was convenient to the venue(Hollins University). Restaurants were nearby and also there were more a short drive away. The hotel was clean and quiet and offered a variety of breakfast choices each morning.

For a handicap room there needs to be a walk in shower. It is extremely difficult and dangerous to step into a tub. Also there should be some kind of automatic entry door into the room for people in wheelchairs, those doors are so heavy they are difficult to open and manuver a wheelchair through at the same time.

When I got to my room, it was full of bugs. When I went down to the desk, they said they would give me a new room, but couldn’t guarantee it wouldn’t have bugs. Now granted they were only stink bugs, but I shouldn’t have to sleep in a room with stink bugs.

We drove to the property without a reservation. We asked for a room price that was on their website. Said we couldn't have that price unless we reserved online. My app wouldn't open without my forgotten password. I got a new one but there was an error. Twice. So I went to Expedia and got a good price on there. Silly they couldn't just honor their website price without all the hassle of booking online. Only 8 rooms were full on this Christmas Eve. That being said, everyone was nice, the place was clean, the beds were comfortable, shower was hot and breakfast was great.

I would like to mention how nice the breakfast buffet was! Real whole milk, even chocolate milk, was available; as were fresh bananas and really good eggs. Only complaint is too much artificial light leakage—the thermostat is directly opposite the mirror so the light is reflected brightly.

#1 - the sofa bed mattress was not acceptable for even an animal. #2 - the sheets were dirty #3 - the blanket in the closet that I assume was for it, appeared and smelled like it had not been washed in years #4 - there was a strobe light on maybe the fire alarm - right above the sofa bed. The commode in the room wasn’t working and they couldn’t/wouldn’t move me to another room that was equivalent. I was stuck in a room with no working toilet. They gave me a bucket? This is the worst customer service - not acceptable. I will never stay at this hotel ever again! The breakfast was subpar. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Great location to Hershey park about 1 minute drive. Great breakfast with friendly staff! They share a parking lot with a gas station that has a good restaurant inside for dinner for the family. The kids loved the pool as did the other families.

The furniture in our room was very nice and the surfaces were clean. However, when we attempted to access an outlet, we found a pair of men's boxers on the floor behind the chair and other small items behind the dresser. My husband killed 12 helmet shaped bugs crawling on the curtains and ceiling; the window jam was filled with dead bugs. I have the feeling no one had stayed in that particular room for a while. The clerk was pleasant and apologetic when I told her about the issues.

Booked this hotel after leaving a disgusting stay down the street and came to check in at about 10:30-11. The hotel was great, but not as great as their employee, Maurice Wood!!! This man was greeted with a full hotel and a line of people at his desk that hotels.com had taken money from for rooms that the hotel didn’t even have! Not only did he apologize as our family sat in his lobby for almost 2 hours trying to find somewhere to go with all the hotels sold out, but he took it upon himself to reach out and call every single hotel in the area to try to find availability. He is by far a man of integrity and sincere class and deserves to be recognized for how amazing he was. Maybe if hotels.com was as impressive as he was, they wouldn’t be the catastrophe that they are!

Our original room was given away because they had no record of my reservation-we were then given a handicap room where there was a tub instead of a walk-in shower. The beds were so high we thought they were for NFL linebackers

We enjoyed our stay here. The check in and check out process was flawless. The breakfast was nice, and the staff was courteous. The room was fantastic, and the hotel was relatively quiet.

There were renovations happening while we stayed but did not see any work being done as it was the weekend. All in all, I would stay again.

Another great stay at Fairfield. Room was clean and comfortable and breakfast is way better than other hotels! They had blueberry waffles and jalapeño cheddar souffle cups along with the normal breakfast items. They always have so many additional toppings that no one else has.

My wife was impressed with the cleanliness of the room, and the hotel lobby was clean despite ongoing renovations. Also, we left early morning before breakfast, but the manager allowed my wife to toast a couple of bagels and take a couple of hard boiled eggs for an on the road breakfast.

The room was beautiful but he tub and bathroom sink are slow draining resulting in standing water. You have to ask for clean towels like most hotels now. You don’t have daily cleaning anymore anywhere. Front desk staff were okay. Our check in person was not so friendly. Breakfast was good. Fairfield used to be high end but now it is ordinary. I would stay again but I don’t have high expectations.

Checked in late after travel. Noticed heat and air system was not working. It was really cold but did not want to go down and change rooms. So just stuck it out. Told front desk the next morning to please check unit before renting to someone else
