The location, ot was quiet and felt away from the noise of the street. Well, fridge was not working but the staff was helpful and replaced the fridge. The tile on the tub was coming off. Floors were sticky. The jets to the "spa tub" wouldn't turn up at all so only got a very little rummble. The tissue box was not for having a box over it as it did not fit properly and just looked cheap. Very disappointed as I have never experienced a problem at any other best western. It was disappointing. The breakfast was not very good, the coffee was terrible and we left to go get coffee because there was no coffee maker in the room. I was not pleased the over pricing. I will stop staying at best wrsterns and not use booking.com for anything. Thos room was way more than it was worth. We work hard for our and $444 for a weekend in that hotel was disappointing

I had 2 rooms. The floors and counters were dirty with grime and hair. The shower barely reached Luke warm temperature. One of the rooms the shower curtain was barely hanging on and the room had a strong smell of curry. The outside doors were always left ajar. The mini fridge froze my fruit and water bottles. Some of the staff didn’t seem too pleased to be there.

The breakfast was okay, very quiet hotel, staff attempted to be accommodating. I booked a king bedroom with a couch that turns into a bed for four people. I was not provided with stuff for the second bed I had to go ask and the first set that was provided to me had hair all over it so I know it was not clean. My bathtub also did not have a stopper in it, And after contacting the front desk for one they did not have one, so I was unable to take a bath after driving for hours. The pool was un functional and it's definitely in season. They had it locked and unclean.

It has a beautiful pool and a place to chill outside. There’s things to do nearby, places to eat and a very nice movie theater just down the hill. The stairs, although carpeted, make it feel a little wonky, thankfully, they have an elevator. Not enough parking spots closer to the rooms.

Sunk did not work. Was getting clogged

A very niceplace to stay. We arrived early and they let us check in early, which was great. The room was very spacious and clean. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was ok, im not much of a breakfast person. Only complainy i have is that someone with a very large dog was in a room down the hall and was barking a lot. It cal.ed down after a few hours and we were able.to get a good night sleep.

Mold in bathroom. Better faucet pressure than there was in the shower. They're too full days before I finally got clean towels. stayed wednesday through saturday , room was never serviced. Had to take out my own garbage.

I am not sure why Expedia recommended this hotel. My stay was comfortable but nothing to write home about. The reception was cold and uninviting. The room was blah. The biggest turnoff was that there was no coffee to make in the room. The breakfast was bland and unappealing. I would think twice before staying here again.

Do not stay at this location. It was disgusting. Water was cold. Ants and food in the sink. Shower and toilet wasn’t cleaned. Boogers and coffee splashes on the wall. The only thing that looked clean was the bed sheets. The front desk clerk was nice but the hotel was filthy. I don’t understand all the good reviews. I have never checked out of a room as soon as I checked in. Worse hotel experience I have ever had

The breakfast selection was probably one of the best if not the best I have had in a hotel/motel stay. they had two counters with choices from dried cereals, muffins, bagels with cream cheese, several juice choices from a dispenser. Even had a yoghurt machine. Had scrambled eggs, hash browns, waffles. You will not be disappointed. Room was very nice and quiet. Outside noise was a minimum. Check in was very expedite. No waiting around.

This hotel was incredibly clean and comfortable. It is a quiet area. It is well lit inside and the surroundings feel very safe. This is the cleanest hotel I have stayed at in years. I would definitely stay here again.

The location is good for me, since my family is only a few miles away. This is the second time I stayed here and found the accomodations are good. The breakfast is well stocked with different choices. There could be a few more ammenities in the bathroom like body lotion.

I didn’t have any pillows on the bed and even tho I put 4 people would be sleeping in the room I still had to go ask for bedding for the pull out mattress. Apart from my other experiences when I said there was 4 people in the room the put bedding in the room for me. The breakfast was decent, I thought breakfast ending at 9 was a lil early but it was good.

They have good coffee. Even fresh cream for the coffee. I wish they had lids so I could just take it with me. The eggs are good and there’s plenty of sausage and bacon. It’s a great location with a very reasonable price. They’re not cheap on the direct tv either. I was able to watch ESPN. There are good restaurants within walking distance in the downtown Roanoke area.

I liked some of the renovations like the mirrors and bedroom. I did not like a door that did not close without pulling it shut, a light flickering in the bathroom, breakfast eggs/sausage that needed to be warmed in the microwave & waffles that came out raw needing more heating than what was indicated & tasted a bit sour on morning 1 of the stay, no housekeeping service between nights with having to reuse old towels from the night prior and beds not made, the WiFi was a bit slow, the telephone would not connect with the front desk, the closet had a piece of metal that wasn’t secured to inside of the mirror door, toilet paper could have used an upgrade, and maybe a new clothes carrier as the one there was pretty beat up, and no accommodations for a cot for our small child. They were very responsive to what we needed though which was great.

Nothing stood out but it was a place to sleep. It was the smallest room we've ever stayed in. It was clean. The breakfast wasn't fully cooked so we didn't eat it. Only saw 2 employees the entire stay and the lobby was non existent.

Room was in good condition and staff was kind to me and my husband. The only complaint I have is when I asked for another towel, as they only gave us two, we were denied. With long hair, having a second towel is a necessity. It wasn’t worth complaining about so we bought a cheap one at Walmart. It may sound petty, but we won’t be staying here again.

The rooms are older - shower leaked, toilet ran and the sink was very slow to drain. The breakfast was completely empty an hour and a half before it ended and it took over 45 min to restock anything and then it was not enough for the people waiting.

Parking was adequate. I liked the furniture in the living area and the sleep area had a nice bed and an easy to watch the big TV. The closet had a nice full length mirror. The bathroom was good. I liked the bathtub. I didn’t like that the toilet paper roll was too far away from the toilet. It would be good to have a toilet paper stand next to the toilet, since there is no place to hang one near the toilet.

The tv was stuck on 1 channel they couldn't fix the bed was hard the breakfast was horrible milk was old yogurt was rotten it smelled bad eggs were hard orange juice and apple juice was watered down sausage not fully cooked hash browns were OK waffle was good coffee was stale

Getting to the property was a problem as there is major construction in all directions, I’ll blame myself for that. We were in room 316. First thing I noticed was that the only icemaker was on the first floor, not a deal breaker. No stopper in the bathroom sink and I had to get a screwdriver from my car to tighten the toilet seat that was truly about to fall off. Also neither one of bed side lights worked, and I’ll blame house keeping for not caring. Pool looked dirty and breakfast was mediocre. Unfortunately we had to stay two more nights than expected but did not book here. Big difference from a best western plus.

Room was clean and quiet, beds were comfortable. You have to go around a “Road Closed to Through Traffic” sign to get to it (and it has had construction making it difficult to get to for years) but it’s worth it.

Overall cleanliness of the facility was good and staff was friendly. One way in, one way out to the property via single lane due to construction. Air conditioning not working properly causing the room to be humidified and warm on a summer day. This one crucial and critical Quality of Service oversight made the overall stay unpleasant and unlikely to return.

The only negative comment I would have is they need to work on the quality of the scrambled eggs. They were dried out and had zero flavor. I mentioned it to the desk clerk. He apologized and said that he would talk to management and I should definitely put it in the comments. If you need to stay in the Roanoke, Trophy Club area and are looking for a clean, good priced hotel, I recommend staying there. We will definitely be back.

This hotel was incredibly disappointing. It had been recently updated and boasted an 8.4 rating. While I cannot be sure of the following, this is what I inferred. 1) the hotel was recently acquired by new owners and it appeared that they ran the front desk and cleaned the rooms as a family. The room was NOT up to my standards, which I told them several times and they did not fix. There were hairs in the sink, there was a used wash cloth in the shower, the floor was sticky, and the room stank of dirty diapers--I have four children and know the smell. When I complained and tried to cancel after the first night, the hotel refused. They promised to clean before I returned. They did some, but still did not mop the floor. I had already shown the front desk photos of the specific problems, and the room was still not cleaned adequately. After realizing the floors were still sticky, we insisted on a new room the second night, and the new room was acceptable. I asked around at the (lousy) breakfast, and other guests also had hair in the bathrooms. 2) I suspect that a family with small children stayed in the room before us because of the sticky floors and diaper smell. These owners would be advised to keep track of such things and give the room extra attention when they clean it. 3) These are NOT queen beds, which was something I specifically looked for when booking. We measured the beds, and they were full beds. Do NOT believe the ratings!!!!

I requested a ground floor room, they put me on the 3rd floor about as far from the elevator as possible.....their ads say they have in-room coffee makers but they don't....no hot water for the bath/showers

Musty room, mediocre breakfast

Would like to thank the manager/owner for allowing us to check in an hour early. We were traveling from FL attending my husband’s parents funeral . They were accommodating and we are grateful and thankful for their assistance. Great hotel and staff .

Negatives: bed frame squeaking every time I lay down, card reader on the door occasionally not cooperating with my room key (at one point, the reader just locked me out of my room and had to ask the desk clerk for help, took several times just to clarify the situation but at the end of the day, it was fixed), only one luggage cart available, not enough lightning (none by the door), water pressure in the shower could be turned up a bit, and the front desk clerks are not the greatest to understand meaning they’re from India. Absolutely nothing wrong with that, no offense to them at all but they are hard to understand either in person or over the phone. The worst part is that they wanted my money before I arrived. I pacificily selected to PAY AT PROPERTY, but they called me and pretty much demanded me to pay for the room, even though I was about a hour away from the hotel. So with no choice, I was forced to pay, thank god my room wasn’t taken away. Customer service could be improved. Overall, the hotel wasn’t great but also wasn’t bad.

Hotel was convenient to where our granddaughters dance competition was held. It was located off the highway and quiet. Wifi and breakfast was good. Road closurer/repair made it difficult to get to the hotel. It's an older hotel that has been updated, but there is still a lot of work needed. A little pricey for what you get. We needed a place to stay close to attend an event and BW was only one with rooms available under $400.00 a night.

Room was clean. (212) The AC didn't seem to be working all that well. It never lowered the humidity in the room. Towels in the bathroom wouldn't dry. Room was clean. (212) The AC didn't seem to be working all that well. It never lowered the humidity in the room. Towels in the bathroom wouldn't dry. Completely satisfied. Need a bed for two nights and the price was good. Staff was friendly, breakfast was good, and the location felt like a very safe area.

When we arrived we had to wait about 5 minutes before anyone greeted us. In their defense it was around 2:30 in the afternoon. The first room we were assigned to had some kind of dirt all over the bed next to the AC. we were assigned to another room which was better. The tub faucet leaked, the toilet seat was shabby, the shower curtain has seen better days. The room was clean, just needs a bit of a face lift.

The location is good, but definitely nothing special as a whole. the hotel rooms are not very clean which definitely was a huge turn off. Overall it’s a fine place to stay if you just need somewhere to sleep for a couple of nights.

Dead bugs in bathroom, shower valve couldn’t be turned off so water spray all over the floor, pool closed. Had to ring bell multiple times to talk to front desk. Not impressed at all with this hotel for a best western. Extremely disappointing.

Their solution, because it was 6:30-7:00 pm, was to wait until the next day to get a technician. No offer to move us into a different room until I spoke up and questioned this. We get to the new room and our bed had a huge yellow stain on the foot of the bed, big bugs on the floor, only 1of the 2 light fixtures in the bathroom were working simply due to a burnt lightbulb, mold on the underneath side, of the plating in the bathtub , just under the handle that turns the water on, went to the pool area and the only two lounge chairs they offered were broken and old, the landscaping around the pool was a joke. They had a landscaper doing some trimming around said pool area and the shrubs were so overgrown on the inside of the pool area because they only worried about how it all looked from the outside, not what the paying guests actually get, it was obvious there was no cleaning up of sticks and debris along the fence line, inside the pool area as it had been building up for quite some time. The air conditioner sucked because you literally had to crank it down to 60 degrees to even remotely be comfortable. Probably one of the worst hotel stays I’ve had in many, many years sadly. Should have just spent a little extra money for the better rooms. Guess we’ll know better next time and to warn our friends and family so they don’t mess up too!!

So easy access to major highway, yet far enough away so as not to hear the traffic, I would definitely stay here again if ever back in this neck of the woods. The young man that checked me in was friendly and helpful.

When we first arrived, the man at the front desk was very rude to me. I asked what time the pool close and he said 8 o’clock and he said if I want to use the pool, he hast to open it for me. The pool had closed signs on it. Our room was Mediocre. The fire alarm was hanging from the ceiling the Internet was not working and at two in the morning me and my children woke up from being bitten up. I turn my light on in my room, and there was a bug on my pillow. I took a picture of it and I went down to, the front desk the lady that was working the night shift was probably the only good thing about this whole experience. I showed her the picture and she immediately moved me and my kids to another room the next morning we recovered we try to shower and there was more bugs in the shower in the room I went downstairs to check out and talk to the people that were at the front desk. It was two men were both very extremely rude to me to hear what I had to say. I showed them the pictures of the bugs and they called me a liar and said that they don’t get complaints like that. They were dismissive of me I asked for the supervisors number and they would not give it to me. I asked if they could call their supervisor and they refused and they said that they don’t do refunds and they don’t care. Horrible

This was a not so memorable stay. We were staying because it helped to get where we were going. Not the racetrack. The price was spiked the day before racetrack activities. We found it difficult to believe it was in the Best Western tradition.

This property was VERY well lit at night, a huge plus for me. The inside of the hotel smelt great the entire time I was there and always clean from top to bottom. Staff was very friendly. I love this hotel and will stay again.

Usually very clean quiet hotel but this time my room was filthy bed linens wrinkled like bed already slept in mirrors dirty and must have been busy night all I heard was doors opening and shutting all night long

Great spot to stay. Centrally located for both Dallas & Fort Worth. Staying outside the city saves money & much quieter, however you do need a car.

Room was on third floor. 1 elevator stairs on both ends of hotel. Not very friendly staff and wasn’t really a fan of any booking companies. Booked thru y’all and he told me to get my receipt from y’all?? I told him no. I paid you the $$ and then he gave me a breakdown not really a receipt.

The best Western in Roanoke is nicely updated. We had one little issue with our room and the young man from the front desk took care of it within 5 minutes. I will not put on here what the issue was. Things happen. What is important to me is it was quickly addressed and delt with. One thing i will do when staying here again is bring my own pillow. The hotels are hard and to big for me.

2nd - The room was not cleaned after the first night. 3rd - When I called the front desk for at least some clean towels... I was ask to bring the dirty towel to the front desk before they would get me clean ones. 4th - The shower had not been clean with someone else hair stuck to the tub, GROSS! The shower had extremely low press and lukewarm at best. 5th - TV was the size on a small computer monitor and was not hooked up to the cable upon arrival.

Enjoyed my stay even though it was for one night. It got the job done. Clean. Slept well. Had breakfast 👌

They should attempt to place seniors closer to the elevator in an effort to reduce their walk to and from.

They closed breakfast down early and we were there at 9:45, not sure why you advertise free breakfast when we got nothing. No apology, and we were told to leave the breakfast room.

It was a nice hotel for the price but it felt like they were doing to bare minimum to meet the hotel criteria for amenities.

The room was very clean and very comfortable. Much better than our last hotel experience. The continental breakfast was a bit lacking but it was a holiday so we didn't expect too much. The staff was super friendly. We will definitely stay here the next time we're in town.

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice everything was. You can tell they have remodeled and take pride in the appearance of the hotel.

(Yes, we turned it off and on several times, but the pin you lift for the shower wouldnt go back down without damaging the plumbing.)

our bed had hair all over it and stains on the sheets… walls were super thin and you could head the people next to you. there was a Pull out bed with no sheets.. Tub had hair in it & the shower curtain was yellow. wouldn’t stay here again.

The hotel lobby, elevator and our room were clean and inviting. Particularly the room including the bathroom. It appeared that pretty much everything in the room (including the bathroom & fixtures) had been updated recently. Very nice.

Our first rooms TV didn't work and when we plugged in our phone charger, the room went dark, all within 30 minutes of our stay. The second room they put us in had plumbing issues (toilet wouldn't flush properly) the bath didn't work only the shower, the faucet dripped all night, we asked for clean towels on our second day and were refused twice. The first time we asked, the man said that we had to bring our dirty towels down to the lobby. Sir we don't work there, that's YOUR job! The second time we asked, they said the housekeepers left so they couldn't get them to us. Absolutely no effort was made to compensate for the inconveniences. We were very disappointed with our stay to say the least. It was not The Best Western, it was The Worst Western.

My room looked good but the bath room was either in transition or assigned because I received a discount when reserving thru a website. The shower head was unadjustable and water went everywhere. Everything was great except i got 2 rooms and both had sofa beds and i wanted that for my kids. Front dessk said they djdnt have sheets blankets or pillows for the sofa beds. And gave me 7 pillow cases to use inatead. So inconvenient. So i slept on the couch bc i was not putting my kids on that matress
