Friendly receptionist. Free parking. Exceptionally clean room & beds & bathroom. We enjoyed the free breakfast with hot waffles & can toast bagels, yogurt, coffee/orange juice - they filled our stomachs. Buzzing in/out of the locked office; very small reception area to rest/wait. The breakfast room was small which was ok for my family but got tight with guests coming into eat. The swimming area had a fence and was easily seen from the parking so we did not feel safe from view, so did not swim.

We have family in Riverside and when we visit we always stay here. We love the location, walking distance to good restaurants and the grocery store across the street has a great bakery. The rooms are always clean and the beds are very comfortable. The continental breakfast is also very nice! The only think I did not like is the soft water. I'm not used to it and it feels like the soap doesn't wash off.

I only had 2 issues one fixable by the owners; the heater/ air conditioner was not working. The second was it was noisy. I had a lower room and there were several families who met outside and were enjoying one another but I did not appreciate how loud they were after 10:00 pm.

We loved the easy check-in, the free parking, the comfortable room and nice walking distance to the areas we wanted to visit; the staff was very helpful and had a lot of suggestions for Riverside. We will be back.

The room is clean and comfortable and quiet. The buffet breakfast hours were too quickly closed otherwise everything was. very comfortable.

Do not let the old exterior fool you. The inside has been redone and the room was beautiful. The covers on the bed were the best I’ve seen anywhere. Very heavy, comfortable blanket less place I stayed the blanket was very very thin, so I was very impressed by that.

Rain Cross Hotel is a gem in the Downtown Riverside area, absolutely an OUTSTANDING hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will recommend Rain Cross to all my friends and family. The rooms are hospital clean and the air conditioning blows ice cold. The staff is friendly and professional and treat you like family. Don't miss out on this great hotel. Oh! did I mention the free and easy parking. Everyone one else in the area charges $30.00 dollars.

Not a hotel, it's a Motel 6 style motel. Great location, very clean, nice continental breakfast. Ceiling lights only, no table tables, makes lighting pretty harsh. Good value for money.

There's alot of homeless across the street and sirens in the morning but the place itself is the best

The hotel wasn't very full when I was there in the middle of a workweek, which surprised me because this is a pleasant place to stay. The room was very clean, and all the supplies (toiletries, towels) were properly stocked. I had one queen bed with a sturday desk, which was totally adequate for me. There were guests on either side of me, but the room was completely quiet. The refrigerator cooled my water, and the Keurig worked. My only nit is that the pillows were too firm for my delicate head.

Excellent and centrally located; it was incredibly easy to get around the downtown area and see the sights. The front office staff was very professional, nice, and respectful. The nightly rate was very affordable for the quality provided. The guest room was noticeably clean and well-maintained I noticed there was a pool on-site, but I wasn't sure if it was actually open or available for use during my stay.

There are two wonderful Mexico restaurants next to the hotel. A market is crossing the street. I had two dinners at two different Mexico restaurants; food was delicious. I didn’t drive my car during my stay because the museums were walkable. Mission Inn was nearby.

The hotel was well located for the event I was attending. The rooms were simple, very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I would have appreciated a table lamp on the desk as the ceiling lights were bright but not very relaxing. If I have an occasion to return I will request a second floor room.

The Raincross looks like a standard, inexpensive (2 story) motel. But, my room was recently remodeled, very clean. The breakfast was okay: bagels, a little coffee machine, fruit, some yogurts (but too sugary for me). Staff was very good, friendly and helpful. You are a 10 minute walk to the plaza area downtown. All in all, a good deal. I would stay here again. I was on the side with a restaurant next door, a little noisy from the roof AC. Also, the blinds on the windows were not lightproof, would prefer total blocking of outside light.

The room was very cute and super clean. There was no lingering smell of cigarettes at all. It smelled clean. There was no stains on the linens whatsoever!! Not only was the floor clean but the walls were actually clean too. No smudges or stains at all. I will definitely stay again.

When making the reservation, I was given the option to pay in advance or at the hotel. I chose to pay at the hotel, but they would not accept it. I've stayed here several years now. I visit once a year for an event. Convenient, walking distance to great restaurants. I never have time for the breakfast. Nice clean rooms, nice staff. Never had a problem staying here. You will come across homelessness and traffic noise. But I feel the area is safe, many people out having a good time in the area.

Check out was great though. Hiral was absolutely amazing and hospitable in the checkout proccess and also during the continental breakfast one morning. I thought the hotel was going to be bad as well, but it checked of my boxes, it was relatively clean, quiet, and provided me a place to sleep! For that it gets 4 stars (5 stars for Hiral)

The room smelled like mildew. When I took a shower all the water pooled on the floor. There were long black hairs in my bed. The breakfast was ok just items you can get from a deli. The hotel is very convenient for downtown riverside. The parking was ideal and free.

The room was OK a little dated sort of dirty, but the bathroom was horrible. Peeling paint on the ceiling of the shower unfinished paint behind the sink look like someone remodeled and then take the time to paint it again.

The area seems fine during the day but was a little sketchy at night. The reception area smelled like weed, and the TV in my room didn't work (though the receptionist did come and fix it immediately). The room (upstairs) was very clean. The doors and entries on downstairs rooms looked pretty beat up and the property overall is old and tired. There is an excellent restaurant next door.

Overall, I was satisfied. However, the conditions of the grounds around the parking area and the stairs leading up to the rooms on the 2nd floor was not acceptable. There were cigarette butts and trash and pieces of food on the ground. It was clearly from several different groups of people, and had accumulated over time.

True to the reviews the room was clean. It was small, the beds were comfortable, the windows had upgraded blinds but needs tweaking to prevent light coming in. There was a refrigerator in the room, but no microwave. The surroundings was quiet. The service was friendly. The free breakfast had several options. There were several Taco places within view although we did not visit any. We will be back here when we visit the area.

it was a 5 minute walk to the convention center. there are restaurants around and walking distance. breakfast was small, simple and perfect. the rooms are good. the room i got was queen and 1 twin can fit 3 people.

We like the location, close to convention center & many good places to eat. They didn’t have kleenex & no microwave. The shower was leaking so the area between the shower & toilet bowl was flooded by the time we realized it. We just changed the direction of the shower head. The wall is thin, we could hear our neighbor activity.

I appreciated that the person checking me in asked if I preferred an upstairs or downstairs room. When I asked for a quiet room, he recommended an upstairs room at the back of the property. Everything was very clean and cozy. Overall, a great stay.

The hotel was pretty clean but the furniture, towels and shower were pretty worn. Bed was very comfortable. Lighting in room was very good. Ice machine did not seem to be functioning. Free breakfast was meager and the bagels were stale.

Rooms were very small but well appointed. Friendly staff, and good restaurants and bars nearby. However I felt a little uncomfortable walking the neighborhood at night and probably would not have done it alone. That being based on some of the behavior people displayed around the property.

I loved White Park, being walking distance from the Main Library, farmers market, maxi foods market, Tíos tacos restaurant and others.

The service was great. The only issue we had is that the room curtains are too sheer. You can see through them at night with the room or tv light on.

Raincross is great for short-term trips. There are not a lot of frills, but the rooms are clean and quiet, and the motel is centrally located so it's convenient and walkable to downtown Riverside. The staff we met on our short visit were all friendly. We'll definitey stay at Raincross again the next time we're out there.

Adequate little motel property, small nice rooms, good beds, very clean and new. Breakfast choices are coffee, tea, latte, hot chocolate, 4 types of juice drinks, waffles, bagels, toast, cereal, toast, fruit and yogurt. Parking lot and spaces are very small and Friday night traffic was noisy.

Isla (Ayla) was an amazing host. Everything was great but she made it better.

Recently renovated with nice interior and comfortable bed. Really liked multiple shower heads. Good selection for continental breakfast. Didn’t like the fact the rooms opened to the street. If this isn’t a concern for others, I would definitely recommend.

We did Dia de Los Muertos a short walk away. We usually eat at Tios Tacos but they have stopped serving margaritas. We went to Ixtapa restaurant next to hotel and the food and margaritas were excellent!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms had the basic amenities and it was clean and well cared for. It's a great economic choice for a hotel!!

Needed to be alone

It was a motel, not a hotel. The Expedia information was misleading. The room was very small. We got in late and was given an upstairs room. I have trouble with stairs and there is NO elevator hot mentioned in the Expedia booking site. Breakfast area TOO small and not much choice. We used it only once.

I stay at this hotel once a year when I'm in town for an event. Reasonable price, convenient, my room was recently painted and updated. New fixtures, crown molding, the bathroom looked new and remodeled. Always nice helpful staff, fridge, coffee maker, free parking. Nice restaurants in walking distance. Only negatives you will hear traffic, no microwave and may come in contact with a few homeless. But is a safe place to me.

The Raincross was conveniently located to downtown Riverside. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating! The property is obviously older, but maintenance is current. The queen bed we had was among the best I have slept in on my travels. The breakfast was also quite good! Free parking is located right outside your door. I appreciate being able to find an adequate motel for a reasonable price! We would stay here again!

This room was clean and well kept. If there is one thing that we’ll mention to the staff, is that the refrigerator needs attention. We didn’t use it because of the foul smell. Other than that, we would stay here again.

Room was very clean, bed was comfy and service was good. Overall a good experience.
