Messaged the room several times to let them know we would be arriving late. No response. Tried to call phones were down. Arrived at property at 12:30am. Checked in. We were so tired and it was so late we went to bed. Listened to the shower drip all night. Next morning getting ready noticed the shower has black mold all around the rectangular drain and near the water leak from the shower head. Took photos and went to the front desk because no phones to talk about the room. The lady called a staff member who tried to change the shower head which didn't fix the leak. We left the property to attend a wedding. When we came back we said the shower is still leaking and there is still mold. The exhaust fan is covered in grime amd there is a strange green light in the exhaust fan too. We were told maintenance isnt here and we let housekeeping know. We can move.you to another room or give you hotel points. It was late and we were tired and just needed to stay the night and leave so we declined another room and admitted the points were a nice gesture but for what we paid we would never go back to another Marriott. Black mold is not something people should just shrug there shoulders about especially if you have a housekeeping department. No one seemed to think any of this was an issue. Oh and management isnt on site during the weekends is what we were also told. I saw more employees sitting around on there phones than anything. There is hotels right next door just go there.

Our room was very clean, the staff were very helpful and the breakfast was quite nice. We did not have the opportunity to use the pool or gym but they looked just as nice as the rest of the property. My only very minor concern was that the ironing board was in need of a minor repair however it was still useable. I will definitely stay here again as it is located near extended family and a very nice place to stay. Next time we will bring our swimsuits!!

Very nice staff, especially at breakfast. The room is spotlessly clean. Great beds. Only gripes were the incredibly loud ac unit outside and the hotel was very expensive for what it was. But supply and demand I guess. It was a busy weekend in Richmond

There is a lot of green space and paths to walk your dogs with convenient pet waste containers on either side of the property. Also, it is well lit to walk your dog outside at night. They had a fire pit lit up for guests.

Fine for a short-term stay. I was there for a week. Could only get the shower hot once. Took about 25 minutes for it to heat up. Mid-day when barely anyone in the hotel would be showering made no difference. The air freshener they have in the lobby is so strong it is disturbing while eating breakfast. They also start cleaning up about 10 minutes before breakfast is supposed to be closed. Things that were good: clean and spacious room, nice large lobby and breakfast space. Breakfast was also good.

We loved our stay at this location. We travel a lot and often stay at Marriott properties. Our room was great and the location was very convenient. A block away from the hotel is a lovely wooded park. It has a great walking/ running trail and a new, fun children’s playground. That said, the highlight of our stay was the staff. They were warm, welcoming, helpful, and clearly enjoyed working together. To a person, every staff member was friendly and eager to do anything they could to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.

The room was really nice, I shared it with my sister, and it accommodated two people that weren't sharing bed space. The breakfasts were awesome, so much better than the typical "continental" fare. This was my second stay at this hotel and will not hesitate to stay here again. Gym facilities were great, and the outdoor space makes it feel like you are home.

My wife and I had to put in a offical complaint to Marriott corporate. The host asked us do we belong here even after she stood 2 feet from me and my wife as I opened pool door with my room key,after talking to her at front desk. Then I got double charged and extra fees of some sort. The white heavy set female made racist comments.

Hotel was unclean, blinds did not close, room smelled like weed, barking dog. Just a very unpleasant stay to celebrate my daughter bday. Will never stay with Residence Inn.

I love it when a hotel delivers as advertised. From the eye-popping lobby to the luxury rooms, this hotels is definitely on my return list. Staff was super friendly and highly professional.

The staff was wonderful and as helpful as they could be. The breakfast was OK. Who thought that it was a good idea to beam a FLOOD LIGHT at a bedroom window? This made it impossible to truly darken the room. Even with blackout curtains, the light was soo strong that we could see light all night above and around the curtains. The front desk even tried to go out and point it in a different direction. That is absolutely ridiculous and idiotic! I will definitely NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.

One fork, had ask for a roll of toilet paper, no extra roll of paper towel. No hand lotion. USB plugs didn’t work. Wasn’t able to charge electronic devices.

Overall, good stay. Loved the breakfast in the morning..some of best I had. Just wasn’t happy when opened pull out bed to crumbs and dirty. Had to clean the entire thing before making the bed. For the price, I was hoping for more cleanliness.

Location was great. The breakfast was very good The coffee in the rooms. I am a coffee drinker. I love my coffee!

The location The greeting could have been better, and the front desk clerk seemed bored to do her job. The first room wasn't great, and the bathroom didn't close all the way. The door was dirty. They changed our room right away. In the second room, I had to request toilet paper they left a used roll that had a little bit in it. Our room didn't get clean during our stay. I had to request housekeeping to pick up the garbage and give us clean towels. Breakfast wasn't the best. I will definitely not stay again.

We stayed for a night and had to be somewhere at 6pm. We planned to check in our room and get ready for our evening but they had absolutely no rooms clean/available as they were super short staffed. Not their fault, but it made things hard for us and our plans. My wife ended up having to do her makeup in the lobby.

Rooms are large, full kitchens. Nice lobby and good breakfast. Room could have been a little cleaner, some makeup stains in bathroom and cabinets in kitchen could have been wiped down better. Very convenient area, lots of shopping options and easy parking near room.

Room was adequate although the bedroom piece of the suite is a little small. There was little hot water both mornings I took a shower. It was mainly lukewarm at times at best.

The staff was nice and the breakfast was really good with the exception that the cheese omelette was burned. One elevator was out of service during our stay and my ankle was cut by a metal piece extending from the underside of the bed.

The area was nice, the hotel was nice on the surface level, I was a little disappointed that the room wasn’t clean upon arrival, the fridge was dirty as well as the bathroom and there was hair that wasn’t ours in different places within the room. I had to clean the bathroom prior to my children using it. To make the day worse the pool was out of service the day we arrived which was disappointing as we came to celebrate a kid birthday. The front desk tried to be very helpful and they were pleasant . It’s just they have to clean a bit better and not just spot clean the rooms. And when you travel for particular items you def want them ( the pool).

Great hotel! Loved the location, it was very quiet with lots of parking, and close to restaurants. The room was very nice and had lots of charging ports. The breakfast was great! We really appreciated the variety every day. The staff was so kind and helpful.

Very nice and clean, came out for a birthday party and the kids enjoyed themselves at the pool. They also have a basketball court and tennis court for outdoor activities. Was very impressed!!!

We spent four nights and did NOT receive any room service. The ladies at the front desk were very pleasant, polite, professional and helpful. This was important since I had to make several trips to restock my own room. Apparently they communicated this via shift report yet it never got better. I booked 3 rooms. Two rooms were together and one room on the other side of elevators - that particular room received room service. The other two rooms did not. Very disappointing. We spent four nights and did NOT receive any room service. The ladies at the front desk were very pleasant, polite, professional and helpful. This was important since I had to make several trips to restock my own room. Apparently they communicated this via shift report yet it never got better. I booked 3 rooms. Two rooms were together and one room on the other side of elevators - that particular room received room service. The other two rooms did not. Very disappointing. Bed was so comfortable! Sheets smelled clean like laundry detergent. Breakfast wasn’t the best. I would definitely stay there again.

I’ve been staying here for work over the last 2 months, and have been nothing less than happy. The staff are great. The hotel itself is new, fresh, and clean. It’s just an all around great place!

Been staying here since they opened and it’s always been a pleasure… kids can swim all year round 😍… full kitchen so you can save money on going out to eat…

The hotel lobby was nice and clean. My room was fine although the shower didn’t appear clean. There was remnants of hair from a previous guest.

Its a fine property although we didnt use the amenities given our arrival time. Also, I dont think you should be charging Marriott Bonvoy gold members for enhanced internet. It wasnt work addressing but an additional $5.99 is annoying.

The rooms and Lobby area was clean. The bed was very comfortable but the sectional sofa was not. The free breakfast is scrambled eggs, turkey and or pork sausage and or bacon everyday, a different egg selections would be nice. Customer service is where the hotel failed in my opinion. The WiFi did not work for my computer and was told so sorry, they couldn’t do anything. The dishwasher provided in the room did not have soap, I was told it was on back order. I needed to extend my stay by one day, I followed the direction given by the front desk in paying and adjusting my key. We were awakened from deep sleep at 11:30 pm to come down to the front desk so they could run my credit card for incidentals and finally at check out I could not get a print out from my stay, they had the reservation listed under Expedia!

New property. Beautiful spacious suites. Very clean. Nice staff. Easy to get around

Contemporary feel, beds were comfortable, loved the studio room. Kids were happy with the basketball/sport court outside, several firepits on the patio for outdoor socializing also a plus. Overall a very pleasant stay.

They didn’t have extra bed linens for our pull out bed and they didn’t supply any extra pillows for the pull out bed. They didn’t have any extra toilet paper either. For some reason the housekeepers don’t give the third shift employees access to these supplies during the evening. Doesn’t make a lot of sense.

Amazingly comfortable beds!

It had two things i was looking for: pet friendly and had streaming services (netflix, amazon, etc) on the television. It was very clean and also had a kitchen. The staff was kind. Great location. Quiet. Everything was excellent.

The room was clean and the front desk staff was great.

Room 224 has a view of the slanted roof...a different room with a view, any view, would have been great
