    The room & especially the bathroom weren’t cleaned recently. The tub was filthy & there was also loose caulk all over. The overall room was disgusting and absolutely not up to Marriott standards. There was also not enough parking for all guests of the hotel with many cars needing to park in the fire lane. Won’t be staying at this hotel ever again.

    There are not enough words to say how wonderful the staff was. From the manager to cleaning crew, everyone had a smile and a friendly hello. The room was well equipped and the breakfast buffet was delicious. I will definitely return and recommend this hotel.

    Did not know ahead but property under “major renovations” so no fitness center for us. Our 2 rooms did need TLC- “tired”, minor issues, but still usable. Not a long stay so ok

    Everything was perfect. From check-in to check out, everyone at the desk was exceptional warm and friendly. The breakfasts had far more options than I’m accustomed to as a frequent business traveler, and the cleanliness was far better than I typically see when I travel. Everyone here should be hired as universal trainers within the entire industry to teach others how to run a hotel. 10 stars.

    The items that were available when I went to breakfast was good Didn't like the fact that there were no plates available when I went down to breakfast and most of the hot food was out so didn't have much to choose from. I was in a hurry so couldnt really take the time to wait on fresh food to come out.

I actually had to go out and buy my own spray to treat it properly. The other hotel guests were loud and disruptive. Ended up leaving a day earlier than planned because it was so miserable. Never will stay here again.

    The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Matthew and Cheryl were great. Seme helped us in the morning. The room was comfortable. I liked the living room sofa as it gave good back support. The layout was nice and I was glad to have a door between living room and bedroom. The bed was comfortable. The location worked out well for us. We would stay here again. The bedroom TV was not working and the bedroom drape was torn. The small table in the living room for eating was a little wobbly. This property is going to update the rooms.     I liked everything & everyone. Cheryl the front desk woman was amazing from the time I walked through the door til the time I left. Mathew was amazing along with Carl (that's not his name, the lightskin extremely friendly guy that worked front desk at night then again the next morning). Staff addressed me by name as if we were family. I truly felt privileged. I felt like a STAR. I'm definitely staying at this facility each & everything i come back to the 804 area. Oh, let me not forget about Seme (spelled wrong) the breakfast attendant that paid attention to detail and extremely friendly making everyone feel that they were at home with family. It was an incredible experience. The water didn't stay hot as long as I like and the facility is a bit dated, BUT, the renovations are coming soon, so truly, I have no real complaint at all.

    Only criticism was that there was hardly any hot water, both from the kitchenette sink and the bathroom sink. Luckily after having to run the shower for a good 5mins we eventually got some hot water. Property was quite a distance from city centre, but this wasn’t a problem.

    The shower water in my room was only just warm. No hot water available. Also, the phone in the room was not working. Told that there was no engineering on site, because they have weekends off. I was also told that the hotel was at full capacity...so that seems hard to believe that an available engineer would not be available. The front desk staff moved me to a different room on the same floor. That room also did not have hot water nor a working phone. After my third trip down to the front desk to make them aware (Because I was unable to call with a phone in my room that didn't work) the staff told me that the water temp was preset for the rooms and there were No working phones in the hotel. I really wanted to get a refund and change hotels but when I let the staff know they said that because I had booked thru a 3rd. Party (Orbitz) that would be my responsibility. Frankly, the only reason I did not leave and change hotels was because I was only there for a 2nd night and at this point was exhausted. Future guests beware of this property if you expect hot water, good water pressure, & a working phone. This hotel has not been remodeled in at least 15 years. Robin Sealey

I only stayed 1 night and I arrived late, so I can not give an honest review on the services. I reported the issues to the front desk as i was checking out. The staff seemed very nice, and im confident they would have responded to my room concerns quickly had i given them the chance. The hotel feels old, but it was conformable. I only stayed for a few hours as this was just a traveling stopover. In all, i would stay there again.

    I understand people live here on a semi-permanent basis and it's hard to keep the rooms in good condition. But there were gouges in the wall, rips in the carpet, deep dents in the refrigerator and the toilet seemed like it was going to overflow each time we flushed.

    The staff was exceptional. Jennifer checked us in. Signed me up for Bonvoy, saved me some money and earned points for my stay. Matthew, the manager on duty for our stay was great. He helped with our luggage and gave us a great recommendation for dinner. Seme, the breakfast attendant was so helpful and made us feel welcome. Chris, Shirl also worked the front desk and were all helpful. Our room had 2 bedrooms (queen beds), 2 bathrooms, a sofa bed in the LR and a full kitchen. Great space, at a reasonable price. The facilities are a little old. Many of the outlets were so worn, our multiple plugs and charges would not stay plugged in. The pool was out of order during a weekend in late July! We had a fire alarm go off at appx. 1AM, our first night there. We evacuated and had to wait about 30 minutes, until the fire dept left. I'm hoping to get some bonus Bonvoy points, due to the issues we experienced, but none have been applied, yet.

    Initial staff when entering the hotel were nice. The room was not clean. The tub drain was laying in the tub and a huge clog of filth was distended from the tub drain. I had to get the filth out in purser to put the drain back. We did not use this tub. My grandson went down to breakfast and immediately showed signs of an allergic reaction.     Initial staff when entering the hotel were nice. The room was not clean. The tub drain was laying in the tub and a huge clog of filth was distended from the tub drain. I had to get the filth out in purser to put the drain back. We did not use this tub. My grandson went down to breakfast and immediately showed signs of an allergic reaction.     The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was very good. We stayed for a state basketball game and that is were my family and our cheerleaders stayed. 2 of the rooms that our cheerleaders stayed in had beg bugs and they had to move to other rooms that we had rented. The manager gave the money back for the 2 rooms but the girls didn't get any rest that weekend. As far as the staff and breakfast it was great but I would not recommend staying here.

    Rooms were dirty. Customer service was terrible and everything was outdated. The swimming pool had the light hanging out of it with a wire exposed needless to say we did not swim in it. They really need to do something about the overall condition of this hotel.

    The stay was not great. I booked a one bedroom so the kids could go to sleep early in the bedroom, and then my husband and I would stay on the pull out couch. The metal frame was broken, so getting the bed in and out was painful. The mattress was basically a sheet of paper in depth, and between that and the broken frame (meaning the bed wasn’t level when open), we ended up putting the mattress on the floor to sleep. When asked for bedding for the pullout, it came with one pillow. We asked for another (as it’s a double) and they said no. The nature of this trip meant more time than usual in the room, but the tv didn’t work. The feed was blurry if it came through at all. The furniture was stained, the curtain was ripped. The hairdryer was dead. I went to the front desk to ask for a different one and they couldn’t help me. Had to wait for a specific person. 45 minutes later, one arrived, way too late for me to even use. The hot water was essentially non existent. The shower curtain bar was hanging off the wall and making it even more annoying to use the toilet. Breakfast ran out of plates, not even having paper ones as a backup. I listened to several other guests complain about their rooms (e.g., leaking fridge, blood stains on carpet and toilet). The staff was friendly and it was generally clean, even though the majority of my experience was disappointing for I booked with a brand so I should know what to expect and it fell significantly short.

    The hotel desperately needs renovations. The last time I stayed at the establishment was 2018, and it looks the exact same. In my room, the AC did not work. Additionally, there were missing cushions on the sofa, stains on the carpets, ceiling, and bathroom walls. Overall, the room did not smell fresh but musty. I planned to stay here a full week but after 2 nights, I was ready to go. If you’re coming for a night or two, sure, but it wasn’t giving “home away from home.” Luckily, the general manager was very nice. The assistant manager was not. When I asked for a refund, she said there was nothing she could do, and instead, asked if I told the hotel about my pet. I corrected her, and said, “Thank you for asking. Yes, I did tell the representative about my SERVICE ANIMAL.” She was very rude and did not correct her attitude until she knew I was going to get in touch with the general manager about the issue, and then she tried to apologize, saying, “I hope I didn’t come off XYZ.” She did come off that way unfortunately. I was moved to a much better room for my final night, but frankly, the hotel needs to be renovated. I wouldn’t mind coming back next summer when the reservations are done because of Larry. He is a great general manager!

    The toilet in my room was broken, it ran nonstop. I had to fix the flap inside the tank to get the water in the toilet bowl. Upon leaving I told the guy near the desk and she simply stated he would let maintenance know. There was no concern for my stay.

    On some positive notes.. the location is nice, the room size is great.. having a suite with more than one bathroom is incredible. The beds were nice...and once in the room it was quiet. The sleeper sofa has seen better days... the fridge was dented multiple times and there is no paper cups for coffee, nor lotion or other amenities -the breakfast is nothing special and the use of the computers is a hassle.

    I really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, especially the corned beef hash. My only wish would be more cable channels. Also they were testing the fire alarms. I'm glad it worked, but a heads-up would have been nice.

    Different flavored waffles were good/eggs were not good. Our room didn’t have a hair dryer, so that was surprising. We had a suite which included everything needed for cooking and eating (utensils were really cheap) and even had a dishwasher and iron and ironing board.

    The property looks good at first glance... but the rooms are lackluster. The kitchen sink had no hot water, the dishwasher is very loud, the stove top knobs don't work correctly, there are no pans to use in the oven and the "couch" is awful.

    Location good. We killed 2 cockroaches in our room. Inspite of that, the hotel was reasonably clean. Food was poor and boring, however the gentleman who worked food service, was delightful and refreshingly nice. Some of the front desk staff made you feel like you were a big bother. Not at all good salesmen for your establishment. The hotel sponsored activities did not happen on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday evening. Our room was nice sized but I don't think they gave us the next level up room that I reserved. I really wanted to like your hotel but I am disappointed and underwhelmed

    Unusual smell throughout the halls. TV in bedroom did not work; let front desk know about it and it was never repaired during the visit. Toilet seat pilling. Tub faucet fell off while using.

    Staff was very welcoming and polite. Room was okay for the most part, however the curtains had holes in them and the couches were stained. Would recommend some updates and upgrades.

    The check in process was smooth. The front desk clerk was friendly. I went to my first room and it wasn’t clean. The front desk clerk gave me another room and it wasn’t clean. So I went from the third floor to the second floor finally to the first floor where the room was clean but I had to get my friend to fix the shower. The shower curtain liner was filthy. I’m not use to Marriott standards being like this. I’ll never stay here again. Only reason they received some great review out of me was because of the front desk clerk. She handled everything with professionalism. Even though the problems where not her fault she continued to apologize. Other than that I would have left.

    Excellent stay at Residence Inn! Friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful breakfast including hot and cold breakfast items and even some gluten free bakery items which were a pleasant surprise and greatly appreciated! We will definitely stay here again when we are in Richmond, Va!

    Broken light fixtures in the bedrooms. Carpet tearing in rooms. Very dirty couch. Splatters in kitchen on pictures. The whole room need restoration

    The kitchenette and separate bedroom is really nice! My family also enjoyed the breakfast menu and the breakfast staff are very accommodating!

    Now to cleanliness, what a dump. Please fix the missing treads on stairs so you don't trip on loose carpet. Also would be nice to fix the two days of ringing alarms 24/7 from the sprinkler alarms. So again, for all this was no apologies, what can I do to make your stay better, or even to change the room. Only to say how nice we were. Yes, we paid and didn't complain because what could we do. It was evident you were doing nothing from the first desk visit and each walk down the halls as if we're a regular thing. It is not.
