Motel 6 Richmond, VA - Midlothian Turnpike

Clean, well maintained, helpful staff, shopping and restaurants nearby, convenient to major highways, reasonably priced.

The room had a hole in the wall #138. No internet. I was working. And the morning manager made it worse. Never again will I stay at this Motel 6

My room was clean however I had burnt holes in my comforter and whatever they mop the floor with they need to stop it was greasy , I only liked the sink and bathroom

The room is basic, but overall very clean. It had a very comfortable bed, with clean, fresh bedding and towels. The exterior of this motel is grim. Its located on a grungy section of Rt 150, and has high intensity exterior lights, alot of trash around and dirty, stained and pocked concrete walkways. Also, the room lighting is pretty harsh

I did not realize that it was breakfast. And the only thing that could have been better was my TV working. And I did ask the front desk he said he would come and fix it I waited all morning. So I'm not sure if he came while I was out in the afternoon. So besides the fact I couldn't watch TV and the noise of the people hanging outside. It was a good experience Just the fact that my remote and the TV wasn't paired together and I was told it would be fixed and it wasn't. So I was not able to watch TV my whole experience

The steel door showed signs of forced entry. There was a round puncture several inches in diameter and more than an inch deep, as if from a police (hopefully) battering ram. The interior of the door frame had evidence of being knocked in, as well. The interior moulding of the door frame was screwed back together in several places. There was tons of activity at night, especially where the rear of the property backed up to a wooded area. Cars were coming and going after very short visits, room doors were opening and closing from 1:30am until 5:30am. I was generally surprised that our room and car were not broken into.

I have to have somebody come and fix the TV when I first got there but the one channel that I wanted to watch still had no volume so I just went to bed. I stay here all the time at this bit seemed a little springy. Also was a lot more noisy than normal

The bed was comfortable. The check in person was helpful. I strongly suspect nefarious activity at this hotel. Maybe drug dealing but most likely prostitution.

The rooms have been remodeled and have working refrigerators and microwaves. Plus Pets stay free❤️ Their housekeeping and front desk staff are extremely helpful and friendly. We will continue to come back to this property as often as possible.

This is a casual place to sleep only. No amenities. Don’t you dare come without flops and all your own toiletries. The free coffee is overpriced. However, Housekeeping was consistent.🙂Bed was well made. 🙂

What was unique? About the property there were no one standing around begging for money cigarettes it was wonderful to come back and not see that and what was great about my stay. The housekeepers are wonderful and they’re always on time. I love it.

The rudeness of employees

Close to Chippenham hospital so I stayed here while a family member was in the hospital. There was some yelling outside on my first night and someone knocked on my door a few times in the middle of the night which freaked me out but I ignored it. Overall, place was clean and quiet (aside from the first night) and worked out nicely.

There was a roach in the bathroom

Nothing There were people all over outside doing drugs out in the open. Making others extremely uncomfortable. Also my toilet had an issue upon arriving and it took over and HOUR To get fixed. Save your money don’t book here !!!

Horrible place to stay!!! When i got there there was still someone's rag hanging from the shower curtain. My key didn't work and the front desk person made me seem as if i wasn't whom i said i was and tried to make me show i.d. to get back into my room.

There was a woman checking in who was short to pay.The hotel clerk made her go find money to check in, she was paying cash. The front desk had bullet proof glass covering the front desk, it was damaged. There was a homeless person panhandling in the parking lot. We came from St. Louis, MO. for the weekend on business. Tried to cancel, the hotel would not cancel and charged me for the room anyway. The hotel blamed Expedia. Expedia blamed the hotel. Both stating the other had to cancel. When Expedia called the hotel, the front desk clerk hung up. I was in the lobby watching. I would highly recommend that you keep searching, if you are in need of a room.

Ut was close too a lot of stores. It was a fairly close drive The cleanliness was horrible, the room smelt like smoke in a no smoking request, the sheets were dirty, and there was a cockroach come out from under the fridge.

The TV settings were all Spanish (could not trouble shoot since I speak English). The room cleanliness was acceptable, but not spic and span. Bed was comfortable and clean.

Everything was nice but the mirror over the sink was missing and while taking a shower the floor in the bathroom tub cracked under my heel

It was clean with plenty of towels and hot water. Great mattress. Didn't have a coffee maker but was available in lobby. What more can you ask when it's less than 100 a night

First off I was to room that construction happened and over my truck generator noise, grinding and pounding this happened Friday afternoon Saturday morning and Saturday afternoon. Earplugs helped a lot also across the parking lot was a nightclub of some sort were music Blair until two 230 at night Friday and Saturday again your plugs helped when I complained the nice lady on the phone told me they would take action against it, it’s Sunday morning. I’m getting ready to leave Friday afternoon Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. The water was cold not ice but cold. It was also in a very rough neighborhood. I would say homeless people out front. I actually saw a drug deal go down and people using the hotel by the hour , it’s not what I would’ve expected though I was going for a cheaper place so I guess that’s on me. I would sleep in cardboard box under bridge before I ever stay here again. The bathroom and room and sheets were very clean. I would have no problems with that, but if I had been aware of the other things, I never would stay here.

deadbolt didn’t work, phone was unplugged & nowhere to plug it in, numerous stains on bedding, cigarette burns everywhere including bathtub, bathroom fan falling out of the wall. unsafe area, lots of noise throughout the night. worried my car may have been broken into. was close to the hospital and needed a last month place to stay to visit a relative in an emergency. 0/10 do not recommend.

This is a Motel 6, so we weren't expecting a lot. It was clean but the neighborhood isn't the greatest. What was really strange was that the bathtub was raised 4-inches above the floor making the step-in height very high for my short wife (and me!).

Was low key dirty. Unsafe fire hazards like no plate covers on outlets behind tv and the cable box had no surface to rest on so was just hanging. The nightstand was hanging halfway out of the wall.

Front desk people were super nice. The rooms are very small and as other reviews have stated they are very dirty and the bar across the parking lot kept us up all night. The beds were extremely hard. Fine for an overnight stay like we had but more than that would be pretty unbearable.

For what it is it’s decent enough for a night or two, wouldn’t recommend only because there’s a bar across the parking lot that blasts music until 2 am which sounds like the music is in your room

The staff at the front desk did ask to make sure she is alright, yet the size of the shower mat at that site is not negotiable. The security deposit has not been returned to my credit card so far on 9/23/23 I am still checking daily for the adjustment. We moved on to the rest of our trip.

This is a drug hotel. Crack heads everywhere. The bed was horrible the floor was coming up and a tripping Hazzard. The bath tub was built up to high almost fell getting in and out. I will never stay here again and would not recommend it to my worst enemy. The police should go there several times a day and they could arrest a lot of people. This hotel should be shut down. It was a waste of money.

We were given our room key, opened the door and the bed was unmade and other people’s luggage was in the floor. Scared me pretty bad. Went back to the lobby they didn’t seem to believe me. Then he said “Oh you need two beds?” Uh, yes, i booked for four people. We got another room, was charged $3 for a travel sized shampoo. There was a sign in the lobby stating they had coffee available in the lobby from 6-10 am. When i got there at 9:40, he said they were out of coffee. There were people stumbling and acting really weird, (high on some powerful drugs) outside the building when we checked out that morning. Cockroach spotted in the bathtub that morning too.

We were given our room key, opened the door and the bed was unmade and other people’s luggage was in the floor. Scared me pretty bad. Went back to the lobby they didn’t seem to believe me. Then he said “Oh you need two beds?” Uh, yes, i booked for four people. We got another room, was charged $3 for a travel sized shampoo. the clerk was extremely nice & helpful considering the circumstances. the room was drab, lights did not work, no rugs on the floors, was okay for a one night quick stop, but not a good choice. will never stay in a Motel 6 again.

People smoking crack on the balcony...strange women going in and out...the room was all run down including no lock for our door....i dont recommend this hotel.

It always an easy check in and check out for this property. Good to stay here and close to where I have to go. Thank you!!

Convenient to work. Noisy. Loud music late at night.

Room had Bed bugs. Did inform the gentleman on duty. I was basically called a liar. And I had to sleep upright in a chair all night. Worst hotel ever.

The first room I entered was a smoking room which was discussing. Dirty with cigarette burns everywhere including on the tub. There are homeless people on property begging and urinating in parking lot

This hotel is roach infested do not go here. I killed at least 10 roaches plus there was roaches crawling all over the bathroom. I tuned on the sink and a roach fell out of the faucet. This hotel is disgusting & is over priced.

I don’t expect much when staying at a Motel 6. This property exceeded my expectations. The room was recently refurbished. It was clean. The towels were nice. The WiFi worked. The lady who checked me in was nice.

I was only there for one night. Room was clean. The setup of the room was OK. But only two hard chairs and a table. So if you wanted to be comfortable, you had to sit on the bed. I understand that this is a pet friendly hotel, and they may not have wanted to have padded seats for an animal to potentially damage. There's a definite tradeoff in using a pet-friendly hotel/motel. HATED the Cool White lighting. Very harsh. Gave the room the warmth of a jail cell. Please switch to SOFT WHITE lighting so that your rooms look and feel like hotel rooms. Located in an area where there are plenty of food choices and a casino next door. So there is activity near. Didn't seem too sketchy. Not sure if I would stay here again though. It's a little ways off I-95 and I prefer to be closer. I've stayed in worse places. So this wasn't too bad.
