The best free breakfast in town.

The room was to be accessible. The floor was coming apart. Not suitable for a person with a walker and balance issues. The floors sloped. It appeared to have had water damage. The planks were raised causing a trip hazard. Not safe for anyone. I was not safe either and tripped a few times. That room should not be used until it is redone.

Room and furniture were a little run down and could use some updating. Breakfast was very good! Staff was very helpful. Bed was quite comfortable.
- 1/5
Tv was no working
- 2/5
The ledges of the windows of the office were caked with dirt. The hotel room has paint coming off of the bathroom walls and the dresser. The bathroom was caked with dirt in the shower and the wall bases. Hair on the sink, soil stains on the pillow cases, mold and mildew on the shower curtain and infected bodily fluids like mucus on the shower wall and curtain.

On the other hand, looks and feels like they stopped mid-renovation with no intention of completion. Space for a sofa and two big chairs and an area for shelving in the bathroom -- but instead just rickety old furniture. Nothing on the walls. Nothing.

Front desk guy was very nice

The room was clean, the tv did not work, wouldn’t or couldn’t help with the issue, breakfast was good

I didn’t like having to cross the parking lot to get to the breakfast place, but not a deal breaker

Breakfast was good, with many options. Better than many other similar places. Overall, not a place I would recommend or a place I’d ever stay in again.

The furniture was outdated and uncomfortable, the rooms were poorly maintained and the homeless population was a concern.

If I could rate this place a zero I would! This is not a true Quality Inn. The walls were disgusting, floors were pealing, horrible smell. The bed was so lumpy it killed my back. Worst place ever!

We stayed at the Quality Inn for 3 nights. The room was not cleaned once during our entire stay despite our repeated requests to have our room cleaned. Trash was not empty, beds were not made, bathroom not cleaned. Their front desk doesn’t answer the phone. I tried to call continuously in order to get someone, and the phone was finally picked up at the 5th try, only to be set aside to prevent it from ringing. We have to go to the front desk every night to get fresh towels and soap. Same thing happened to the 2 other rooms my friends stayed. They don’t have the blow dryer in some of the rooms, including ours. The front desk just keeps politely saying “I’m sorry,” but take no actions. Worst hotel experience ever.

Everything went well except for one staff on duty the night of 12/28. The lady who checked us in was rude in the sense that when we were asking questions she pretended not to hear and when I repeated the question she responds without looking at us. And this happened more than twice. All other staff were great.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at this property. We stayed here on our way out of California and on our return trip. The property is older and shows it’s age but is well kept and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. In particular, Caitlin, who checked us in upon arrival both times. I had waffles for breakfast because the eggs, bacon, and potatoes seemed undercooked on our last trip. Also of note was the wi-fi is spotty or unusable in the rain which was falling during both our visits. It does work fine when no rain is falling. Lastly, we showed a message waiting on the phone which was false. On out last visit the phone in the room didn’t work at all but did function this time with that misreporting. All in all this is a great place to stay if you are passing through Redding and are on a budget. It’s quiet and the beds are comfortable but there are no frills. I would stay here again.

-sheets had not been changed from previous guest/ obvious they were slept in. - hair throughout the bed - visibly dirty comforter -hair along restroom floor/baseboards Breakfast: Good! Eggs waffles, coffee, etc. Overall. Price is affordable for a place with breakfast. We stayed there 2 years ago and it was nice and clean. Figured we would do it again as we traveled this year, but definitely not the same experience. -

The Young lady who checked us in was kind, informative of what they had to make our stay the best it could be. She answered several questions right away and was so considerate of our late arrival. Breakfast was amazing and the morning staff were also very kind and friendly. I travel to the area about 1-2 times per month so we will deffinitely stay here on our next trip !

We were put in a handicap accessible room. Why?? It smelled awful. The bathroom was awful. When I took a shower, the whole room was flooded—curbless shower (I understand) but the shower head aimed out towards the flimsy shower curtain! There was no counter or vanity to put any thing on. I probably won’t stay again.

The door to the outside was about 3/4” above threshold. And the sides allowed lots of leakage. They could improve the place by addressing the doors.

The room was disgusting! If we had not been on the road for 13 hours and hauled our stuff up to the room we would have left. There were spider webs on 2 corners of the ceiling. Black mold above the curtain from a roof leak. What looked to be raisin on the floor. Dirty scuffed walls. Dusty doors and window sill. A pair of mens underwear behind/under the restroom shelf. Hair on restroom floor. Alarm clock made random static noises when off. I had to unplug it. Bed was comfy and fridge was clean. Desk, nightstand, and fridge/microwave stands had pieces peeling off. I let front desk know at checkout and showed pictures and was told they'd note it and the manager would be back Monday at 8am if I wanted to talk to them about it. We stayed the night on a Friday in room 222. Overall poor experience. Do not recommend this hotel!

I told them I wanted a downstairs room but they said there were no rooms on the first floor but at 11pm was awaken to move my car because I was a little over too far so the lady with the big truck could park right in front if her first level room. I did not appreciate being woken up at that hour.

Day when we checked in TV set wasn't working, I had to call multiple times on desk and visited 4 times after which front desk associate changed our room. Later when we tried to open the new room, key wasn't working, again had to visit front desk. Associate came again and helped us. Next day front day associate lady was really good and amazing. She helped us on information exploring around the places. I think this was the good part. Breakfast wasn't really great but still would rate ok but overall experience at this property wasn't worth of 300+$ for two nights.

The hotel is old and has not been kept up. There was a 1" gap at the bottom of the door, the floors, walls and bathroom were dirty. The entire facility stunk of terrible air freshener that burned our eyes and gave me a headache. The AC unit and refrigerator made noise all night long. The toilet rocked when you sat on it. Only stay here if you just can't afford something cleaner and nicer. They should change the name to the No Quality Inn.

This property is old and dated with no frills or special amenities in the room. HOWEVER it is very clean, serves a good breakfast at no charge, is reasonably priced and has a welcoming, friendly and helpful staff..... Best part of this stay was that we were walking distance to Cattleman's Restaurant.

Breakfast is pretty good compared to others. Only thing for me is that if you're in the first floor and there is someone on the second floor, every foot step can be loud below.

The front desk guy Benjamin is absolutely horrible!! Apparently they have a $500 deposit for locals (which I was never told about when booking the room) anyways my mother went to check in and was told they needed the $500 before they would allow them to check in and sent them away because they didn’t have an extra $500 at 9:00 at night. Long story some what short I tried calling at 7:00 the next morning trying to pay the deposit and was told that because they didn’t check in the night prior (they wouldnt allow them to check in) that the entire week reservation was cancelled because of that. Benjamin told me to call Expedia and get a refund for the canceled reservation and to rebook and make an entirely new reservation so that’s what I did. I got the refund which takes 7-10 days to be returned to your bank account and went and made a brand new reservation through Expedia as directed. I called Benjamin back right before hitting complete on the reservation and before another $743 charge came out of my account to double check with him that I was doing exactly what he wanted me too. Then he proceeded to tell me that I was being very shady and suspicious by trying to book a room for my mother and her fiancé and that’s he’s now refusing to allow them to stay. I tried asking why he thought any of this was “shady” and he couldn’t give me an answer. He should not be in customer service! He’s extremely rude and I still can’t believe he spoke to me the way he did. Do not stay there!!

I asked for a non smoking room and the “non-smoking room” smelled like Cigarette smoke. The bed was also broken. Not only that but it was not clean. And all the staff looks lazy and dirty. This is not a friendly place to stay.

The wifi did not work and all they could say at the front desk was that it had been having issues for 2 days. I was out and about to early for the breakfast and done with that too late. I could not figure out or shut up the alarm clock so I unplugged it and relied soly on my own. At least it was easy in and out of this one and to Sundial Bridge.

Very good check-in, she was friendly and very helpful. The Inn/Motel needs updating badly. Although a "non smoking place, our room was overwhelming a smokers paradise. We thought, it's only 1 night, so we can deal with it. Bed was made, but looked unprofessional, (like someone sat on it before we came in) Furniture has pieces of wood missing from the panels, (1960s pieces) They did some updating in the bathroom, but...the lit mirror was good and bathtub walls looks nice and clean, but they forgot to install towell racks, so there was no where to hang them when done, so on the floor they went. They seemed short staffed as front desk lady said she was working a 12 hour shift because someone quit, also we did check in an hour and a half early, but none of the street level rooms were ready for occupancy at that time, so we had to go to the 2nd floor. We looked forward to getting up and eating something for breakfast, but as luck would have it, at 7:30 am a group of about 30 people were standing in front of the doors to get in to the front desk and breakfast area, singing church songs. It was raining pretty good, so rather than trying to go through that crowd (as they were packed under that roof area) we got in our car, it was now around 8:15, and they were going strong with no sign of let up. So we drove away to get something to eat before checking out. Have to say, it was really nice that they had a fridge, and microwave in the room, as for the coffee maker, yea we took a pass

Super impressed. Friendly and helpful check in staff and a great room. Large clean super comfy bed. Do not overlook this gem of a motel.
- 3/5
Our room was run down and a dirty, the person stomping around above us was very loud in our room, and the wifi was slow. All that said, it's kind of just what you're going to get at a discount motel.

Rooms look like they have been recently renovated and were clean and stocked with everything you need. The exterior of the hotel looks a bit shabby and could probably do with an upgrade. Breakfast was OK - at the time of our visit the hotel was not busy so I think some breakfast items had been left out for a while and were not as fresh as they could have been. Was OK for the price we paid as it was clean and comfortable in the rooms. Close to restaurants and shopping.

The lobby staff was very friendly and helpful. However, the first room i was in was dirty so i switched rooms. The second room was a suite and had very stained walls and the window blinds were falling off the windows.

The exterior pictures are misleading in Expedia a bit and makes it look like this is a hotel with hallways and stairs on the inside but they are on the outside. This means anyone can be walking in and around the hallways. Our room was pretty rough in that the front door looked like it had been kicked in at some point and then they tried to repair the strike plate but really a whole new frame is needed. The floor in our room was lifting up and buckling not sure if the LVP was just installed wrong or just very old. The unit had all LVP flooring I think since it was an accessible room and seems as though it had not been mopped or cleaned in weeks so we had to wear old socks just to walk on it otherwise your feet would get very dirty. It does have a pool and the breakfast was one of the better free breakfasts I have had at a hotel in the past year. If I came through town in the near future I would probably pick a different hotel but note it is also one of the cheaper hotels.

The bathroom was in need of repair in the shower area and the curtain was too short so water got on the floor when showering. There were a lot of homeless people roaming around the property rummaging through the trash and begging. We did not expect to see so many homeless in Redding so the problem was not just with this property. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they were busy every morning cleaning.

Needed a place to stay after a long day of traveling comfortable and quiet.
- 3/5
The woman at check in was amazing very nice and helpful. The room was not very clean floors were sticky(non carpeted) red cloth chair was filthy and furniture was chipped and stained. Door had light coming through as it had been stuffed or kicked in before. Just probably not a great neighborhood. We usually stay at Oxford suites or Marriott but they were full. Just not a great experience but after driving 10 hours needed a place to sleep can’t believe we paid $180 for this place.

Its hood & front desk agent needs a class on customer service or maybe just church? Either way there were homeless people hanging out around the property at night & woke up to police at another room due to domestic violence. Never again.

Homeless living next door. Old room, loud AC. Dirty floor. Good breakfast and location near where we needed to be.

Great location close to shopping and restaurants

There are two downsides to the place. One is that the bathtubs don't have those traction strips in them, so they are slick and super slippery especially after you use soap or shampoo. My coordination is pretty good but I still nearly took a header. Be very very careful in the shower! The other issue is that the internet is unreliable. It drops out for extended periods. Every time I go there I use my mobile hotspot at some point. So if you need internet while there make sure you know how to access your mobile hotspot. As always I got takeout from the Cattlemen's a few blocks down. Excellent BBQ!

Ladies that work there were nice but the place was dirty. So very dirty. Couldn’t walk around without shoes, baseboards were thick with grime, couldnt take a shower without shower shoes, spiders in the walk corners ect. Bed and sheets were clean though

I understand this was a busy weekend for them but we have been doing this car show for decades, and will not be returning here.

We got in late, service and room was excellent.
- 3/5
We arrived late—around 10pm—and the staff was professional and went out of her way to clarify 3rd party booking details. There is no elevator and there were no rooms on the 1st floor so stairs were the only option. For someone with physical limitations, it was a bit difficult. It looked like someone had tried to break down the door from the outside. The doorframe was ripped off the wall and literally hanging back and forth where the safety latch was. It was clean, but if you are sensitive to stains on sheets and towels, you might need to upgrade to another hotel. It’s an older building so the shower not draining well was not a big surprise. I wouldn’t have wanted to stay there alone.
- 5/5
Centrally located. Close to restaurants and shopping. Shower was so nice with plenty of hot water. Looks like they have updated several things. Good breakfast. I always use ear plugs when traveling because most places are a bit noisy with guest coming and going. Overall place was quite comfortable

Very friendly check in with Chris. So far great experience, no complaints!

However, the WiFi did not connect as room 121 was too far away to pick up the signal. The wifi was great at the office area. I would suggest getting an expander to reach the all guest rooms. 👍
