Reviews
The hotel has a great central location with several restaurants within walking distance and easy access to the freeway. However, the facility is worn down and in need of renovation. The staff is friendly and helpful, but the rooms are dirty and have various issues such as broken furniture, leaking faucets, and mold.

Room smelled like cigarettes after entering. No smoking on the property allowed. Fridge was dead. Sliding back door to pool had broken handle. Some makeshift lever to lock it. The phone in the room was broken. Holes in the walls. The backyard of the hotel looked like a junkyard. Breakfast was absolutely terrible. Hot tub was filled with cement. Trash all around the outside of the property. Trash outside of the rooms by the pool area. Smelled like mold/mildew when entering the hotel through the back entrance by the rooms.
- 3/5
Needs updating. No ice machines and never not any room service.
- 3/5
Basic breakfast but good. No room service.
- 3/5
I stayed there a week and never got room service. I had to go to the front desk or call to have them bring me towels. The landscaping in the back is really bad.
- 3/5
There wasn't any soap or kleenex - both were expected & nice things to have. The ice machines on the first floor were in operable. You have to go to the second floor. I chose this hotel based on the name of La Quinta and Wyndham. The room was nothing like the pictures online. It was decent but for $124 I expected a little bit more. The couch cushions were broken down and uncomfortable. The staff was excellent. The room was nice and cooled down given it was 106° outside when I arrived. It's in a great location with The Cattleman's restaurant next-door (which is excellent by the way). I was able to walk over there and the service was excellent as well.

Horrible stay
- 5/5
only front entrance open, other doors were exits only. Please install card readers to let the guests in from all sides. Otherwise, excellent property.
- 3/5
It has a nice lobby, and courtyard. The problem was the room we were in looked like they started to refurbish it and then stopped before it was done. The bedroom area was painted nice but the entry area and the bathroom were dirty and scuffed walls, they had new flooring tile except in the shower where it was painted concrete that was peeling and no shelf for shampoo and razors. The bathroom door was very dirty and didn't match the paint. If they put new tile floors in the shower and painted and new toilet, I would have given the 5 stars.
- 2/5
The problem..The property was infested with numerous spiders web Despite the room’s looks cleanliness, it emitted a musty odor. However, the breakfast was exceptionally delicious.

This hotel is old tired and abused. It needs a total makeover as well as an owner that takes pride in ownership!!!!

ease of on and off the fwy. Well lit parking lot... The breakfast NEEDS more variety. Eggs were hard...sausage was under cooked....and very greesy.
- 3/5
Nice location close to stores and gas stations. Parking was limited and not supervised trucks with trailers blocking 5-6 parking stalls.

Nothing at all Smelled like cigarettes and staff had no idea what they were doing and were not trained how to do their job

This property is as dumpy as motel six the ice machine didn’t work. The toilet seats were broken no tissues to blow your nose extremely loud they’ve got problems and they should not be allowed to run through Hotels.com. Their rights are way too high for the horrible accommodations. They have take this very seriously the breakfast is not hot. It’s a sweet world in a package.

Service here is horrible. We were a group of 8 and stayed in two rooms. We got 2 Towels in one room and 1 towel in second room. I went to request for more towels and they were unable to help us for the first two nights. They gave one more towel for each room on the third morning. They did not clean the room for 2 days. I will never ever book this hotel again and do not recommend it.
- 2/5
Our refrigerator was warm when we got to the room had to plug it in and wait for it to get cold. The floors were so dirty. All you could see was spillage all over them.

On a road trip with my family we arrived late in the evening the hotel staff was very nice. Checking us in when I got up to the room. There were no working lights except for in the bathroom. I went to call the front desk, but the phone did not work. I used my cell phone to call the front desk and requested another room they were I was told there were no rooms and that they would let maintenance know about the lights in the phone. The toilet was clogged in the bathroom. The comforter has stains on it. We were told breakfast was from 7 to 10 AM in the morning when we went down at 8:30 there was not much left and they did not restock. The coffee was good.

The price was accurate. The breakfast was decent. I didn't feel very safe here as a solo traveler, But just being there for one night on the road was fine. The staff were friendly and the room was decent. I was concerned about my car the entire time. There are notices everywhere that they're not responsible for theft of car or personal belongings in car or personal injuries, however, it's good to be aware of that, and I don't think that that is the hotels fault. The location is right off the freeway next to a lot of low budget hotels. So it's good they make there guests aware of the surrounding.

Two rooms for 4 people. On check one room had wet towels on floor and a half chewed dog treat on one of the beds. Card keys for other room didn’t work. Was given new keys but they didn’t work. Given more keys but they didn’t work. Then front desk person handed me the master key for all rooms and said I could use that but should be careful and make sure I don’t mistakenly go into another room since the master opened every room in the hotel!!! I refused that and she gave me another room. Three of the lights had no light bulbs in them, so I asked for new bulbs but they didn’t have any of the right kind or couldn’t find them. So now it was an hour after check in and we missed a dinner reservation. I told the front desk we were leaving and expected a full refund. She assured me I would get one when the manager was in the next day. Called several days later and was told they could not issue the refund since I had booked through Travelocity - even though I paid the hotel directly. Called Travelocity and the rep said La Quinta should provide the refund and she would contact the manager there to deal with it. Have not heard back from Travelocity. Every time I try to get hold of the hotel manager directly I am l told the person is not available. Worst hotel experience ever!!! And Travelocity hasn’t been of help either even though I have been a long time member of the service - I would have expected and appreciated some type of follow up from Travelocity.

The evening receptionist was very helpful and nice. Her name is Ariel. The showers must have bars for safety. The tub was slippery with nothing to hang on. The coffee pot was broken. We had to ask for a kleenex box. Not enough outlets; we had to unplug one of their devices to use an outlet. We won't be staying at a LaQuinta again, Sorry.

Not much. Best thing is the location. It is next door to Cattleman's Steakhouse; great place to eat. Room was very outdated. No outlets near the bed. Outlets were old and some would not hold a charger. Overall cleanliness was marginal. Carpets were stained. Sink drained slow, probably plugged up with hair. Just not a great place to stay. Breakfast was marginal. We used to stay here, and it was nice. It has really gone downhill in the past year.
- 4/5
Clean and comfortable room, close by to excellent dining.
- 3/5
Room was clean and comfortable, but shower drain was clogged. Superb dining at Cattleman's next door and several locations nearby.
- 3/5
The staff were extremely helpful and personable. Room was clean but the wash clothes and towels were stained. Breakfast was subpar. There were no non dairy options for people with allergies. Sausages were ice cold.
- 0.5/5
Rosie was wonderful checking us in. The room lacked tissues, there was 1 washcloth, 2 dingy colored towels, no hand towels and 1 each shampoo and conditioner for two people. Lacked any amenities for comfort. Very frustrating and not up to standards for the price we paid. Spent too much money for poor quality. Love a refund!

Check in staff was nice. Property needed updating/repair. Flooring of elevator was dirty, handrail was missing, lots of various knicks and dents on walls/doorways. The hotel was quiet. The room and bed were clean, however room had an unpleasant pungent odor, the television did not work and one of the bedside lamps had been removed/ripped out of the wall. Cannot speak to customer service as to resolution of these issues as we were very tired (it was late upon arrival), went straight to bed and were only staying one night so did not complain about room

Disgusting! This place left me with 6 bed bug bites! The windows are disgustingly black! because of the mold. Their so called “no smoking room here” smells and reaks the smell of billions of smoke otherwise. The bed is already making a hole because it hasn’t been changed for a long time probably. The smell of their “clean” linens is like shiiiitee! Never staying here again. And I’m sure the owner of this place could care less about a negative reviews. Cause they don’t change anything they don’t try to make it better. As long as they are making money right???? Oh and on top of that they only have 1 waffle maker! so good luck waiting in line with 2-5 cups of waffle batter each person waiting in line. DISGUSTING

Sink didn't drain, shower fixture loose from wall, toilet seat loose, baseboard carpet just laying there. Holes and tears in drapes. Breakfast service, juice dispensers empty, had to wait for everything to be refilled, hot and cold options. Just gave up

Our room had a musty smell. There were stains on the sheets and they were quite worn.
- 3/5
Unit is clean but they didn’t provide the bath soap, shampoo and hand wash. I went to front desk and got the soap. Paper towels are not available. Breakfast is good but not sufficient for all . Juice machine is not working. Staff is nice and warm welcome, property is super clean . Vending machines and pool is great

The location The pool was dirty, both rooms were dirty, with stains on the chairs, dumped vacuum dust and dirt in the toilet, the bath tubs has stains from the old bathtub mat along hair and dead bugs. Both phones in the room and alarm clocks did not work, WiFi on the TVs had no WiFi when the settings on the tv is locked. The carpets were also stained the curtains were dusty and stained Breakfast foods were everywhere such as the waffle maker leaking into counter top with nothing underneath it and so on

NONE!!! They should feel shameful and should not be listed by booking.com. The hotel management even did not arrange for daily cleaning without any reasons. The rooms were dirty with unpleasant smell. We had to ask for show towels, and they were not friendly .....

The Air worked, there was a mini frig and mini microwave. Had a nice view of Mt Shasta. The room really needed attention. Holes in the curtains, the plugs in the room looked very unsafe, the bedding looked to be very old. The beds were very worn down

There were too many pick ups, towing big trailers that were triple and quadruple parked in the back where I parked.

Superb
- 3/5
The rooms are dingy; the outer doors along the side are broken, so they've been left propped open with rocks; the "breakfast" wasn't worth bothering with; and the badly lit perimeter was unsafe. On the plus side, the front desk staff was efficient, and the restaurant next door good. But it was the last time we're staying here.
- 3/5
The Continental breakfast used to be a highlight, but after they expanded the seating area, the quality has noticeably declined. The waffle batter was watered down, only one of the two waffle makers was in operation, there was no fresh fruit, and the protein option was… unique. The stay is comparatively inexpensive and breakfast is included, which I appreciate — but I’d honestly rather pay a bit more to have the breakfast return to the quality it used to be.
- 2/5
Our room was so disgusting dead bugs everywhere, stains all over the carpet and beds, just very gross, we had a baby with us during our stay and did not feel comfortable letting him touch anything, I mean the housekeeping didn’t even bother wiping dust off of surfaces…do yourself a favor and do not stay here…we left a day and a half early without a refund because we were so grossed out! Also someone’s dog barked all night long and kept everyone awake and staff did nothing to mitigate it!

The pool It was dirty, no fan in the bathroom for when we showered, the coffee pot didn’t have a tray and then the tray they gave me was too small.

I have stayed here a number of times and it seems that it is not being maintained very well. My toilet moved and made a loud noise when used. There were a couple of weird black tar like spots on the flat sheet. Things like that.

Location easy on and off great. The lobby and entry are nice. Outdoor area by pool was nice. I wish I took pictures.... Arrived after 8pm after long travel. 1st room on third floor, super slow and hot elevator. Was said to be ready but was not ready. All blankets on the floor, previous guest left dirty laundry on for, dirty food container on shelf . Bad. Gross. Tried to call lobby from the room, phone didn't work. And some dead and living cockroach in room. Gross Elevator back to lobby. 2nd room Told the girl about our first room, she acted shocked. Doubt she was. She tried to make it right.... gave us a second room on first floor. Better location, maybe. Walked into a down graded room, though. No TV. No coffee pot. No hair dryer. Limited outlets worked. The outlets that worked were loose and charger kept falling out. Beds are double size but really on the small side. Asked for a refund or credit, they couldn't do it, I booked thru this party. Pet friendly. Which is a plus. But the pet path, was not good. No grass. Only wood chips. Narrow and trashy near dumpster. Not a good stay. For the brand, for the reputation.

Breakfast was good. Room size was good. The couch in the room was nice. The mattress needed to be replaced as you could see the sunken in sections, There was only a very very light blanket/sheet over you in bed and we liked a little more cover and the pillows were hard. As most hotels in this price range the lighting was not very bright.
- 0.5/5
We did not like anything. The place is falling apart. Homeless sleeping in front of the lobby. One of the rear entrances is broken. Power outlets falling out of the wall. One of the bedside lamps had been previously removed and they just left the 4 screw holes in the wall. The hotel overall is old, dirty, badly banged up everywhere. This is a 70$ a night motel trying to fool people into booking by charging a mid tier hotel price twice its worth. Will never book a room with la Quinta ever again after this.
- 3/5
We liked the location, although getting into the parking lot going north on Hilltop meant you had to go past the hotel, turn around and only enter south bound on Hilltop. Breakfast was good. Lobby was fresh, The 2nd and 3rd floors though smell like mold and mildew along with the 70's. Carpet was not clean and you can definitely see the stains on the carpet. The building itself probably would not pass a safety inspection. The stairs bolts are all coming undone and loose, the masonry has been saturated at some point and the block is starting the deteriorate. The room ceiling had water stains as well. The doors to the stairs are locked 24-7 so you have to go thru the lobby in order to get into your room. They are definitely not the most affordable for what your getting in return.
- 1/5
The room was not clean. There were traces of blood/ dirt on pillows and blanket. The bed was so old and disgusting we both got backache and neck ache and couldn’t sleep throughout the night. There was no iron in the room and the hair dryer was broken. The bathroom was so dirty and poorly maintained that it looked like a homeless shelter. The staff looked like they hated their job, except of an East Indian guy who was the only friendly person there. They didn’t have tissue paper and when asked, they only offered toilet papers…. No way we would ever book for a La Quinta hotel ever again.

The location There was a large water stain on the ceiling above the bed. The shower curtain rod was pulling out of the wall and so the shower curtain kept falling in the middle of the rod. The room was not clean: there was pink gunk on the bathroom wall, there was someone else's hair on the shower wall, there were brown smudges on the wall, and there were quite a few stains on the carpet in the room. The carpet in the hall also had a lot of stains. Facility maintenance and housekeeping are definitely lacking at this hotel.

I arrived to the lobby, and the two people that were at the desk seemed very unfriendly, and like they did not want to be there immediately felt uneasy. When we got to our room, there was instantly an odor. Yes, I was aware that the hotel in rooms were older, but I don’t think that justifies it for being absolutely disgusting. There were a bunch of stains all over the carpet and even on the lampshades and as soon as we walked in, we were extremely uncomfortable and it just felt so dirty within five minutes of being in the room we decided we did not want to stay there so we went to the desk and told them we were canceling and leaving and then we ended up driving home another seven hours instead of staying in that room. If at all possible, I would love to get a refund.

Room 130. Unfortunately the worst LaQuinta stay. Appreciatd the early check in but when we walked into the room the mattress was too short for the bed and a terribly stained mattresss was leaning up against the wall yes you read this correctly. Air control didn’t work, shower ceiling had a hole with patch materials hanging down, bathroom door was literally split open, shower had mold, no TP holder, no tissues in holder, no entities whatsoever, error code on microwave didn’t work and no remote for TV when they brought remote had to get new cable then about two hours later TV went off never came back on sadly was the worst stay ever anywhere.

This property rented a room to us with bloody curtains, shower curtain curtains that do not fit toilet seats that are not connected and cockroaches in the bathroom. Do NOT wrench from this property they should be reported.
- 5/5
Quiet. Great restaurant next door. Convenient location.
- 3/5
This is a tired property. It looked like they were renovating on the main floor, but we weren't on a renovated floor. The carpets were sketchy and in general, the hotel had a weird smell. The breakfast didn't look like we wanted to try it. Overall, not a place I'd go back to until renovations are complete.
- 3/5
Big rooms. Okay place to stay overnight.
- 2/5
Room was not properly cleaned, pop spill on nightstand and on remote, garbage in basket. No hand towels or washcloths. No facial tissues. Holes in drapes. Dogs barking during the night. Property is in need of a upgrade.
- 1/5
This hotel is quite old and not well maintained or clean. The breakfast was just okay. I would not stay here again.
- 3/5
Pros: Good price, free breakfast with mutliple items, convenient location. Cons: ice machines and elevator in disrepair, bad area with lots of homeless and drug users (hallways smell like pot), trash and towels left in hallways for days...
- 3/5
Ice machines did not work. Elevator permits expired in 2023.
- 5/5
Breakfast was regular, ac temperature was good, staff great
- 3/5
Check in staff was great. Room was ok at best. It’s old. We were in a room with 2 double beds and the mattress’s were sinking on both. Mattress was super soft; not a personal fan. The room was a bit ick. They only gave us only 2 towels and 1/4 roll of TP (family of 4!) We had to request more towels and TP. There was a live roach in our room and my boys instantly freaked insisting to sleep in the car; had to walk them off that ledge. Continental breakfast was really good. A lot of options and it was clean. Coffee was really good. After the roach my rating was a 2; the continental breakfast helped boost them to a 3. Overall OK.
- 4/5
Run down peoperty, but what needed to be clean was. For a overnight stay. It was perfect for the price.
- 2/5
The bathroom was not clean with hair in tub, no toilet paper, etc..
- 5/5
Room was clean and facility was well kept!
- 4/5
Breakfast wass OK. Restaurants are close by.
- 5/5
Easy to find. Restaurant close by.
- 3/5
Stained or dirty towels in bathroom, room smelled like mildew or mold, carpet had many stains, coffee pot was missing a piece to brew but staff was friendly, the bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet so we had a good night sleep. Could have been worse but also could have been better too.
- 3/5
beds are really small ,dirty hand towels. Had stayed here 2 years ago and it was a good experience .
- 1/5
Rooms were dirty. Staff was rude when asked for towels to take showers since the room didn’t have them. I would recommend stay somewhere else
- 1/5
Carpet durty… tv didn’t work, the bed sheets had stains on them. The water on the shower tub didn’t run. Requested kore towels never received them. Beds so were uncomfortable. The pool was duty. Breakfast was okay. Never going back. Spend a little more and stay in a different one. But paying $141.00 per night i was expecting something better.
- 1/5
Hotel was dirty and run down. Sheets had small blood stain, wires were exposed out of air conditioner, pile of trash puled by the pool. There was loud construction in the lobby area
- 1/5
This is by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Shortly after checking in, we noticed that there was water leaking from the ceiling in the bathroom, and BEDBUGS. Disgusted and disappointed. Immediately grabbed our things and left, and drove the 3 hours home in the middle of the night, but now have to deal with the stress and worry of them coming home with us. Very disappointed in how the hotel handled it, they almost seemed not surprised or bothered by this!?! Did a dive into google reviews, which I should have done beforehand, and there were a couple other reviews from a few months ago that mentioned their problem with bedbugs. Honestly so upset. We chose this hotel because we stay at other La Quinta’s in other areas and they are great so we trusted the name. Never again.
- 2/5
The room was beaten up, how's is the walls, light fixtures broken, hair dryer didn't work only 2 towels for a room booked for 4 guests. All the issues that were brought up to staff were dismissed
- 3/5
The hotel was clean but not kept well. Alternate entrances keypads did not work and guests were putting rocks in the doors to keep them accessible. Not safe. My shower head had mold growing on it, so I didn't shower. My patio door the handle was broken. My stay was fine but management needs to do their repairs and upkeep.
- 2/5
2.After flush, it took 10 minutes to fill the tank and created a lot of noise 3. Low price but would spend more next time to stay at a better property
- 2/5
Incredible staff, but that's about it. The room was gross and in very rough shape. AC was literally duct taped together. The carpet was gross and sticky. Our socks were sticking to it... Cigarette butts EVERYWHERE outside, and an awful musty smell in the rooms.
- 1/5
beds were terrible, room dirty. will never stay here again.
- 3/5
Staff is great
- 3/5
Coffee pot was missing a part, it didn’t work. Hair drier didn’t work. Alarms went off one night, dog barking at 3:30 AM, Dog barking for a long time on Wednesday, also Thursday morning. Where were the owners??
- 2/5
The staff was beyond kind, but this location is in desperate need of some TLC. There were large waterstains on the ceiling, big stains on the mattress, and trash scattered around the room.
- 1/5
From the moment we arrived, the hotel had an unpleasant odor that lingered throughout our time there. The front desk staff was unwelcoming and unfriendly — not even a simple smile or a warm greeting. For a hospitality business, the lack of basic customer service was truly disheartening. The elevator was old and in poor condition, which added to the overall rundown feel of the property. The entire place looked like an abandoned building — dusty, neglected, and poorly maintained. Our room was the biggest letdown — the pillows had a bad smell, the bed sheets had visible stains, and the carpet was visibly dirty. There was also no complimentary slippers provided, which is a basic amenity expected at any decent hotel. Dust was everywhere, making the room feel like it had not been properly cleaned in a long time. To make matters worse, the in-room telephone was not working, and neither was the hair dryer. I had to use my own personal cellphone just to contact the front desk to report the issue. Their response was completely unprofessional — the staff simply said she didn’t know why the electrician hadn’t fixed it, with no apology, no follow-up, and no attempt to resolve the problem. This level of negligence and indifference is unacceptable. For the price they are charging, this is completely unacceptable. A room in this condition should not cost more than $40 per night — and even at that price, the cleanliness and service

Excellent place for us to spend the night as it was half way to our destination. The Cattlemen Restaurant next door was a bonus.
- 2/5
Overall, the quality of the hotel has gone down since we last stayed there 3 years ago
- 4/5
The first room we checked into was unacceptable but we were transferred to another room and it was much better. Thank you.
- 1/5
The hotel is not being maintained. The woodwork is damaged and not painted. The coffee maker was unusable. The pillows were lumpy and old . The shower curtain was ready to fall off. The light switches and electrical outlets were old and dirty.

The. Smell of dog urine in the first room they gave us was so bad we could not stay in it for more than minutes tried to open the sliding door for air and the. Handle was broken. The staff at the front was gone when we tried to change left for a while came back and they changed our room with apologies. New room smelled better but the beds were so worn you could see the sag without lay down. Unfortunately due to time constraints we were unable to change hotels. Maid service never came. Trash from other guests was left in the vending ares for days. We had to ask for wash cloths at the front desk that she had to find. The elevator was our of serve. The ice machines on the first and second floor were also out of serve

Clean
- 2/5
The shower curtain rod was broken which made the curtain stay wide open during showering. Water got all over the place. I woke up and was going to make coffee in the coffee pot in the room and the coffee compartment was missing. The room’s heating unit was blasting heat at the lowest temp setting. All in all I will not stay here again.
- 1/5
The TV didn't work. The phone didn't work. (we could not contact staff re:TV as we were already in bed). The fan in the bathroom did not work, which I believe is a code violation. The sliding glass door did not open. The curtain was badly torn in different places. The chairs were badly pawed as if by a cat. The room smelled of smoke. The security door leading from hallway to outside and was open continually. I would like a refund for this stay. I have pictures to document the problems if required. This place had a lot of code and security violations
- 4/5
Pet friendly disabled rooms. We booked a king disabled pet room but they only had 2 twin bed room available. Staff very friendly and helpful.
- 2/5
First, we were given a room the hadn't been cleaned yet. The front desk gave us a different room There was something splashed on the was in the bathroom wall and on the back on the door. Then there was 1 wash cloth, I had to go ask for more towels and wash cloths before we could shower. On the second day when we arrived back at the hotel, they hadn't picked our dirty towels an wash cloths so I went to the front desk again and asked for more towels and wash cloths. She said that they don't clean the rooms or replace towels everyday. To top all of that some hippie dude was mad because someone's kids must have dink dong ditched his room and he went after the kids. The kids dad stepped, and was trying to be as polite as possible telling him to step away but this hippie guy was ridiculous!!! Then the cops got called and the hippie guy was asked to leave and escorted off of the property. I don't think that we will stay again, it was a little bit on the run down side of life.

Refused to take a shower upon departure. There was some sort of red staining on the shower head and around the drain. Did not think blood but have never seen it before. Also found numerous long strands of hair around the drain along with no Kleenex and although an extra roll of to, the one on the holder was nonexistent. Breakfast was told would run till 0930. When I got down at 8:40 , everything was cleaned out. Worst LaQuinta stay I have SVER experienced and will never return.

The paperwork were fine. It was the room that was smelly. It smelled like stale cigarettes, or something else to put my finger on it. I had to leave the sliding glass door open a little bit of air it out.

Called the Lady at the front desk to tell her that the tv was not working. She advise us to unplug the tv and plug it back in. Still could not get it to work. There was no iron in the room to iron my shirt I need in the morning. The walls in the room need a good wipe down.

either greeting each other or goofing off. This was way too early for that nonsense! I had a 3 night stay there as I was in town for a conference. The next day needing to get some breakfast the breakfast tables were not being attended. They weren’t wiped down after others had eaten, unappetizing. The worst of all was on my last day there as I was packing to leave and noticed a coach roach. One near the microwave, a dead one on the floor and one on bathroom mirror. Needless to say I don’t recommend La Quinta ! I also feel a refund of at least one night is in order due to coach roaches !

This place needs either a serious makeover or demolition!

However, all the public spaces are dirty and in severe need of maintenance. During the night the bed felt like it had a cold spot, when we checked in the morning it was in fact a wet spot, we lifted the bottom sheet and it in fact was a bloody mess. They had just put a clean sheet over a wet bloody mattress . Expedia should take this facility off of its listings, maybe the entire chain should be removed. Will never again stay at a La Quinta. If you can’t ensure better quality maybe it is time to give up on Expedia.
- 4/5
One two three
- 4/5
Not bad, it’s convenient- close to Hwy 5 and right next to steak restaurant. Just a place to sleep. Breakfast is fair, just a typical low budget breakfast.
- 3/5
Cockroaches. Mold. Mistakes with the staff handling the booking. Room smelled like cigarettes in a non smoking hotel. I had to move room 3 times because of various room issues or unkept things. A lot hidden beneath the surface. I think the owners are probably greedy and cheap and broke and DONT care for or maintain the place well. It’s better than a motel 6. I wouldn’t stay here again.
- 2/5
Keep looking for another place to stay. In need of major repairs. Mold on the ceiling in the shower. Doors need painted. Missing paint on bedroom walls from replacing baseboards. Exterior door locks don’t work. One exterior lock hanging from exterior wall. Other lock did not work. Food spilled on floor of hallway. Dining area had very few tables. No where to sit. Too much trouble for front desk to charge us for a dog since we prepaid.

Room smelled terrible, the shower was terrible that you couldn’t closed the curtain to take a shower 😢. The shower even had 3 long hairs in it too. The sliding door we couldn’t lock it to go to sleep, cause it was broken. The room didn’t even have a phone to call front desk, the line was there but no phone. The closest where they keep the iron stuck so bad when I opened it. The carpet in the halls of the hall were stained here and there. We were so unhappy, so uncomfortable staying there. Never again. What a bad experience.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, great staff, good location for food. Very clean and quiet. We enjoyed our stay.
- 1/5
This hotel is horrible, when we arrived to check in we had to wait more than half an hour before they helped us. The guy in the front desk he was doing anything he can to helped. Before he assigned your room he was going to checked out each room to make sure that was clean. When we finally got our rooms OMG it was disgustingly dirty the room had a leak mold, the nightstand was dirty. We left. I have no idea how this Hotel is doing business
- 2/5
The front desk rep was great, he did everything to help. The property itself is in shockingly bad condition, missing door handle on the exterior locking door leading to the rooms, propped open with a rock, questionable security situations. Coffee was undrinkable. Thought La Quinta had higher standards.
- 1/5
I was there for 4 nights and NOT ONCE did housekeeping come by to change sheets, bring towels, etc. All the elevators were broken and some stair cases were non-accessible. Further, I was t able to sleep while staying there. Someone was playing guitar late into the night and front desk/security didn't do anything about it (even though I asked else real times). Miserable.
- 5/5
Extremely friendly staff.
- 5/5
Great check in, best I've had in awhile 👌
- 1/5
The staff was rude at check in. Entire building is old and smells like cigarettes. Only one elevator works. Room was dirty with stains on walls and carpets. Toilet seat was broken - completely cracked. Bed was subpar. Bathroom door doesn’t lock. Ice machine doesn’t work. Sketchy people lingering in area. Will not stay here again. Highly do not recommend!!!
- 1/5
Smelled like pee. Dirty. Creepy. Lots of weirdos like grown adults riding bycicles and scooters in the dark hallways. Pee soaked rag in a dark starewell. Just a creepy place.
- 4/5
Staff was wonderful. Hotel was quiet and clean. Not up to date or remodeled with very old and damaged fixtures but overall good for price. Bed as amazingly comfortable.
- 5/5
It was a great stay, the room was clean, modern, and the staff was courteous and helpful.
- 1/5
Elevator was broken, leaks on the ceiling, Hot tube and pool broken, and the breakfast area had no plates and a small selection of food. To make this worse we stayed in the Bakersfield location the next night. There too, had a broken elevator and the pool and hot tub were broken and closed.
- 2/5
The first room they went to put me in smelled like cigarettes everywhere. They have removed the smoke detectors even though it’s a non-smoking hotel apparently someone fully smoked in one of the rooms. I could barely breathe in there. I had them move me to another room. I am a disabled person, so this is already challenging and hard on me. The second room had live and dead cockroaches. I was so exhausted from traveling the night before and not sleeping. I opted to stay in the same room. Because they weren’t going to be able to move me till the next day anyways and my reservation was only for three days. I ended up making another reservation to stay for two more days after they moved me to another room. They said they were going to give me a discount for the hassle, but weren’t able to because I booked it through a third-party. Then there system has been trying to pull the money from my account every day after I already paid. Some of the people are helpful and some of them don’t really care very much. And the whole hallway smells like mold because of recent flooding they had. I don’t think they have enough money to fix their problems. At least it’s nicer than a motel six. They need better maintenance and upkeep. Also, the coffee machine in the room was very gross and unusable. They are making effort. They just need help.
- 5/5
The room was large and very clean. We traveled with a cat and the room was in much better condition than those in a few other hotels we've stayed at. Everyone was friendly and professional.
- 1/5
In short, I would never recommend this property and believe there are numerous safety concerns that need to be addressed immediately (and we would appreciate a refund if possible). I have included a list of issues we experienced and have both photographs and short videos available to share of each issue. + Multiple water damage spots on the ceiling + Large damage to the wall near the door + Inability to open the patio door and part of the patio door handle missing + One elevator was out of service + The other elevator had an inspection certificate that expired in 2023 + Multiple exterior entry/exit doorways out of service and incapable of being used per code + The door at the rear of the building was marked as "Locked 24 Hours" but no card key was needed and it never locked due to the lock being out of order
- 1/5
Dirty & gross. In need of some serious improvements. Wouldn’t recommend.
- 2/5
Will not stay at this location again.Needs complete restoration.Stinky and run down, things need to be restored and work..fixed ice machine
- 2/5
The room smelled of mold, you could even see mold growing from the ceilings. In some places of the hotel , the roof was falling from water damage. We had to sleep with our windows open. The rooms were very outdated. The only good thing was the staff they were very friendly. They said a manager contact me due to the mold , but nobody did.

Adjoining rooms. One blowdryer ripped off wall. Neither coffee maker had all parts. Couldn’t make coffee. What appeared to be poop smear on curtain. Dirty hand towel just folded and hung back up. Bug on the bed. Shall I go on? Guy at front desk was very nice at check in.
- 3/5
Unfortunately the sinks were backed up and no cable tv
- 5/5
Front desk guy very friendly Glad we booked here!

The people that work there are great. It’s clean & quiet. The problem is there aren’t any cameras anywhere on the property. My car was burglarized while staying there. All my new items & tools were taken. My husband and I were moving from the coast to eastern California & stopped there for the night. Worst mistake ever. Since they don’t have cameras & the homeless know it the scumbag was able to take his time & get whatever he wanted. The staff is constantly kicking out the homeless sleeping in the hallways & peeing on the carpet. It’s not safe there. Find another place to stay.
- 1/5
Never again will I stay at this location.
- 1/5
Stay away. Was in the middle of a long move stopped here for the night before continuing on. My car was burglarized. All my cold wether clothing, shoes, tools were taken. This place has no cameras anywhere!!! So the their wasn’t caught on camera. Spent the whole day dealing with trying to replace everything, police reports, insurance reports. They didn’t even offer a room for compensation. Absolutely nothing. The only person trying to help was one front desk employee. Everyone else had no clue what to do. If they had cameras they would’ve caught the scumbag because he took his time to go through everything. He even left his nasty clothes in my shopping bags. As far as comfort the beds & pillows are comfortable. The breakfast is okay. Very clean. But just not worth risking your car being broken into & your items stolen.
- 5/5
Never stayed there bad weather
- 3/5
Room was clean but in need for repairs. No towel racks as they were removed, holes visible in wall were they had been. Toilet backed up, could not flush. Doors to the room and to the bathroom bind probably because floor is subsiding. Breakfast was just OK. But lots of parking, friendly front desk clerk.

Since it is a hotel with pets spray rooms down with pets in them dowm with room fresher.
- 2/5
The ice machine on the first floor was not working. The elevator on the first floor was not working. The staff was wonderful.
- 3/5
The room itself was nice. The amenities were so lacking- coffee pot very difficult to use, no tissue or enough washcloths (1 only) door hard to open/close, and no instructions to operate tv. I will probably use another facility nearby next time I come to this town.
- 4/5
Rooms are okay for the price you pay
- 1/5
Horrible. Blood stained carpets (a LOT of blood), holes in walls, holes in bathroom door (clearly someone put their fist through 3), smoke detector covered with a plastic bag, bed bugs and homeless roaming the halls. Better to sleep in your car.
- 1/5
Not very clean.
- 3/5
Carpets inside the rooms were very dirty, need immediate cleaning, have lot of stains on the carpet, bathrooms, towels and beds were clean.
- 1/5
Dirty and broken doors. Unsecured property. Horrible breakfast options. Sunfloer shells in the window seal. Chipped paint on walls.
- 3/5
Good price
- 1/5
The card readers to get in were broken so you had to go through the lobby. The elevator was broken so we had to take the stairs. This was the worst stay ive ever had in a hotel. Do not stay at this hotel in Redding. Horrible.
- 3/5
Staff was great. A fine place to stay after a long day of driving with two dogs. Our AC/fan had a loud whistling sound. The building we were in was in the back which was great, but I think that’s where all of the dogs stayed as it sometimes sounded like a dog
- 1/5
The room was dirty. No land line phone, the smell was horrible, and floor carpet are nasty.
- 1/5
I woke up to a cockroach crawling on my arm, I could not go back to sleep and I did not want to wake my husband who had been driving all day and we were checking out in a couple of hours anyway. As we are getting ready to leave I was in the bathroom, I saw a small one on the bathroom door. I took pictures of all the roaches I encountered in the room. We started to pack ASAP. When I told the hotel staff, she did not seem surprised and she just said oh I will let the cleaning staff know and turn around. I was an horrible experience. Needless to say we did not wait for the breakfast.
- 2/5
No phone in room. No towels. No outlets for phone charging in room.
- 1/5
My room was not clean. There was no coffee. When I went down for breakfast, there was only cereal and an apple. Everything was out of order. The room numbers were all missing, and it was written in pencil. I had to literally take my key card to see which room was mine!
- 1/5
The towels were stained, and the floor was filthy. The carpet was soaking wet near the air conditioning unit, which caused the room to be moldy and triggered my allergies. I am never going back there.
- 3/5
Hotel is a little dated but the staff was great. The heating worked but very loud every time it turned back on. Loved that it took pets
- 1/5
Walls and carpet are stained severely and missing paint. Three massive holes in the elevator and it wreaks of motor oil. Giant poorly patched hole in the wall
- 1/5
The room #348 was disgusting…the carpet was worn out and dirty. The furniture was pathetic. The toilet was so low to the floor, you could hardly get up. We will never ever stay there again. Overall, this place is totally worn out.
- 4/5
Check-in was quick and smooth. There’s lots of parking. Location is within walking distance of stores and restaurants. My room was clean but the bsthroom could use a refresh.
- 4/5
it could have been 5 start if sheet had nicer smells
- 1/5
The room was deplorable in cleanliness and overall condition breakfast was equally disappointing. I certainly made a note to never return again.
- 5/5
Friendly. Room was perfect for our sto
- 5/5
It was good
- 1/5
The further you travel from the lobby, the older and dirtier the place is. We stayed in room 254 and it was terribly dirty with fresh nuggets of unknown substances in the carpet. Hairs on a few of the pillow cases, folded towels but not completely clean. Broken door handle to the balcony. Trash on the balcony. Totally not worth the $100 something a night they were charging.
- 4/5
The room was good, but there is an overall old drafty smell in the entire hotel.
- 3/5
The carpets were old and stained. Definitely need to be replaced. The room was pretty dirty. Not vacumned along the sides of the bed. Mediocre breakfast. Decent coffee
- 4/5
Yes
- 4/5
Clean room, comfortable bed. Large hotel.
- 5/5
Parking, room location, breakfast all were great
- 1/5
Worn, filthy carpet in room. A group of Central American men were holding a bachelor party on the 3rd floor. Four doors were propped open with a rock, with a lookout at each door and the elevator with a small walkie-talkie to direct and endless stream of visitors carrying alcohol, portable stereos, etc. Several rooms were packed with men, including what looked like strippers. Loud music, drunk unregistered guests darting between rooms, and the most powerful smell of marijuana filled the hallway. I had to put bath towels in the door frame and close it, and a wet bath towel along the bottom of the door. The atmosphere felt very threatening and disturbing, up until about 3:00 am. A visit to the receptionist was met with, “There’s nothing I can do.” I heard that housekeeping had spent 12 hours the next day cleaning up the mess in several rooms. My first stay at this hotel was in 1996, and at least 2-3 times most years since. However, I will never stay there again.
- 1/5
I have never in my life canceled a reservation once I have checked in - until this stay. Our first room reeked of cigarette smoke. The front desk agreeably gave us a different room. Smooth sailing from there, right? Not hardly! The lamps/lights were all unplugged when we first entered the room so there was low lighting. Once I turned the lights on, there was filth everywhere. The room was so dirty I didn’t want to set my things down. The bedskirt had brown staining the full length of the bed, and there was even chunks of something that resembled feces. The bedspread had stains all over it and there was even black debris that I couldn’t tell what it was. The carpets were stained black throughout the room and had portions of carpet missing. The walls were dirty and dusty (like dirty a/c ducts) in addition to being dingy. It was almost midnight at check-in, so my husband suggested we just sleep on top of the bed for the night and find a new hotel for the rest of our stay. I replied with a quick and firm, “ABSOLUTELY NOT!” I went to the front desk fully prepared to “make my case” - armed with multiple photos. The woman made no argument and offered us a refund. She said she was aware, stating the ownership doesn’t care and doesn’t seem to want to do anything about it. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
- 2/5
The bedding did not seem washed. One bed had some grains of rice on top with a spot of something and then the other bed under the top sheet had a food spill. Flooring had holes, cobwebs in the room, it just felt dirty. Im glad we were only there to sleep for one night.
- 1/5
The room was dirty. I picked up some trash on the floor. The bathroom was not cleaned properly. The shower was disgusting. Very noisy dogs all night. The AC ducts need to be cleaned looks like they haven't been cleaned in years. Overal experience horrible. I will not be staying there ever again.
- 3/5
It was close to a sports bar and I-5
- 2/5
The hotel is old, the pillows and sheets smelled bad, and the bathroom was dirty. There were no toiletries provided. We didn’t like the experience and wouldn’t recommend it.
- 1/5
No hot water to take a shower,no juice and was told breakfast was from 7 to 10 am and food was put up early. The door was not locked to the hotel. The room door was mess up too, did not always lock. There was other stuff that happened too. Was note happy with the service either. I will not be staying there again. Not worth the money.
- 3/5
Breakfast was ok
- 3/5
Medication cooled. Still decent for the price.
- 5/5
Great room! Staff is exceptional!! Looking forward to my next stay!!
- 2/5
Room dirty. Hallways dirty. Lots of noise
- 2/5
While the front desk lady was very nice, the hotel itself is dirty and ran down. Stains on the bedding, no hot water in the morning and our entire group was told “sorry”, that was all. We ended up having to go out to breakfast as the included breakfast was awful.
- 1/5
The hotel was in terrible shape. The elevator near the C door has an expired inspection certificate. There was no hot water available for a shower the morning we departed. Carpets through the hotel and our room were dirty and soiled.
- 1/5
Robin ended breakfast 1 hr premature by removing all items after yelling at a guest saying she “has to clean after them”
- 1/5
It was roaches on my room
- 5/5
The front desk staff were excellent in helping me get my luggage and crate for my dog to my room. Truly appreciate them all.
- 1/5
Terrible hotel conditions, smells horrible! Never staying there again.
- 2/5
I got a non smoking room and as soon as you entered the room there was a strong smell of cigarettes and there was a cup of cigarettes on the balcony..
- 2/5
.
- 3/5
My room was adequate but clean. My most serious issue is that the outside doors have no locks and anyone can enter the building at any time of day or night, so for a single person I didn’t feel safe. I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and it has really gone down hill.
- 4/5
It was exceptional
- 4/5
Not very clean or fresh.
- 3/5
The staff was very friendly and the entrance and courtyard are nice. The room was old, quilt was ragged and torn, there was trash in one of the cans, there was hair on the floor of the bathroom, the walls are filthy. It definitely needs some work!
- 4/5
Check-in was easy, the room was clean, and the complimentary breakfast was fine. The only issue was the there was no exterior handle on one of the entrance doors from the parking lot, so guests would prop the door open. This could easily result in unauthorized access to the hotel.
- 4/5
Very good.
- 3/5
Limited electrical plug ins.
- 5/5
Clean Room and close to The Fly Shop.( AM Meetup Spot
- 4/5
The LaQuinta on Hilltop in Redding is getting a bit tired. Shower dripped constantly, but could not really be heard. Looking a bit worn. Staff is friendly and responsive. Good free hot breakfast each morning with several choices. It was surprisingly quiet given it is right next to I-5 highway. Cattlemen restaurant attached for good dinner fare and cocktails (if so inclined).
- 5/5
Clean, comfy and kind staff
- 2/5
The hotel had no hot water in the morning and it was going to be 1-2 hours before someone could come to solve. Unfortunately that was after checkout so unable to shower
- 2/5
Bed sheets looked dirty. Room had stale smell. The shower drain was clogged with hair. We booked for 4 people to stay and room came with 2 dinge towels.
- 1/5
Is outdated, the water in the shower couldn’t hold temp it was either scalding hot or cold staff was rude.
- 2/5
The staff was nice and the continental breakfast was decent. That’s all I have nice to say about it. The room was gross and smelled like pee, the bed smelled weird and made it hard to fall asleep, the pool was green, the whole hotel was just in need of patching up. Really disappointed in this La Quinta.
- 1/5
There were cockroaches EVERYWHERE in our room. Listen to the reviews and go elsewhere.
- 1/5
There are numerous homeless all around the property. Numerous people sleeping in their cars in the parking lot and roaming the parking lot. The exterior doors were propped open w rocks so there is no secure entry/exit. My 1st room had a horrible odor of fish. The 2nd room had roaches climbing the walls. Will never stay there again.
- 2/5
Really no pet area except out front. No view
- 3/5
.
- 5/5
none

We stayed 5 nights. And it was just not a good experience. There are no open outlets in the whole room except the bathroom. The outlet behind the desk had the switchplate coming off. The refrigerator froze everything and caused cans to explode and ruined a bunch of our food. The curtian rod was installed with a bracket upside down so the shower curtian would not stay closed. The vavle on the shower just spun in circles. You had to try to balance it in the right spot so it didn't flop over to hot or cold while showering. The bathroom door was literally delaminating and falling apart we could barely close it. Ice machines on 2 of the 3 floors did not work. The elevator smelled was missing the railings and the permit was expired in 2023. We could only get one key card for our room because they said they were out. The hallways very obviously smelled of cat urine.I went to the desk to ask for a towel change and report the issues and they said "no problem" Turns out it was because they didn't fix anything or change the towels. The tables outside we full of dried food stuff. No one ever cleaned them in the 5 days we were there. Not once. I would highly not recomend staying here.
- 5/5
Blood splatter on floor Black marker on the walls Elevator was very bad functioning badly It was the most disgusting motel I have ever witnessed or attempted to stay. Unbelievable that this is an actual business. I need a refund which I will call about. I traveled yesterday 09-28-2025, nearly 14 hours driving… And to have to find another hotel took me 2 hours to finally get a room at a much cleaner overall experience. And to top it all off. Due to the fact I stepped into that room and put my things down. I threw the clothes I had on away and any other items I could part with. I lost a lot on this attempt to spend hard earned money for a comfortable night sleep. Ridiculous
- 1/5
Unclean and smelly all the time
- 5/5
Easy check in and out
- 3/5
The pool was green, not maintained very poorly managed
- 4/5
My stay was great and i appreciated the welcoming of my dogs! My only complaint was the lighting in parking lot and pet areas, or lack thereof i should say. At 6am even it was pitch dark, and frankly, a bit scary.
- 1/5
Had two rooms. Both were absolutely filthy. Massive stains everywhere on the carpeting. Walls were horribly dirty. Bedding stained. A real dump. Tried to talk to staff...were told that they didn't want to hear the complaints, and that management doesn't care. Unbelievably rude. Truly a disappointment. DO NOT recommend. Unsanitary, and unsafe.
- 1/5
The outside looks nice and lobby area but once walk into the hallway of the rooms , the paint was coming off the walls , the doors were a bit beat up , needs updating .the room was clean but the carpet was coming up at the entry way and the unit has issues with plumbing in the bathroom . Just stood the one night .
- 2/5
Mold in the shower and fart-smell in the hallways
- 3/5
Rooms not very clean, elevator not up to ADA standards.
- 1/5
Honestly, I was very disappointed with La Quinta. This hotel needs a serious remodel and is in disarray everywhere. Stains in all the carpets, sunken sofa in the room, chair missing arm rest and the sink plunger was broken and had to forcefully pull up to drain. Lastly, the back door to the outside was broken and no security whatsoever from non hotel guests.
- 3/5
Our hotel room had no wash rags or soap. I went to the front desk, requested wash rags and soap and the receptionist brought some to my room. On the third day after no service in our room, no towels wash rags toilet paper soap. I called downstairs to ask for more wash rags and towels and possibly our trash cans to be emptied. They said that would happen during the day. We got back at 10 PM at night still no wash rags or towels. I went downstairs and was able to get two wash rags and two towels Still no hand towels. And was told soap was on backorder.
- 5/5
Check in and love the room with balconies
- 5/5
Check in was easy
- 2/5
'old"
- 3/5
The hotel corridors and rooms are tired and dated, but everything is kept clean and in order. The staff were friendly and fun and we were happy to have a dip in the pool after a long day. Be sure to visit the Sundial Bridge before you leave Reading, it’s a stunning spot and a shame to miss!
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean rooms and great breakfast. Nice location.
- 1/5
Get what you pay for. Upon arrival there were 2 homeless couple sleeping in the vending machine area with their dog. In the morning, those 2 couples along with another homeless man were in the breakfast area eating the food and the staff did nothing about it. Would not recommend this hotel to anybody. Extremely dissatisfied with this hotel and their lack to keep the establishment clean and safe.
- 2/5
The main problem was the shower changed temps from scalding to icy for my entire shower.
- 3/5
Good location.
- 2/5
The room was fine but the property was sketchy.
- 5/5
Love the balconies and just need washer dryer for guest
- 1/5
Front desk staff was friendly at check in and the lobby appeared updated. Upon entering the room we found stained carpets and bedsheets and the room smelled musty. The bathroom floor was covered in hair and the showered was stained and needed deep cleaning. We considered leaving to stay at another hotel but decided to stick it out since we only needed the room for one night. Tried getting a drink at the vending machine, all sold out. Woke up in the morning to a cockroach crawling on the nightstand. Disappointing stay.
- 1/5
Front desk not willing to bring missing items to room
- 3/5
Renovation being done so lots of confusion in the beginning. They fixed all and was fine afterwards
- 4/5
I have stayed at this facility several times and have found it to be convenient to where I need to be. The staff is welcoming and helpful. There was a problem with the internet while I was there, but it was temporary and the desk staff offered a "work around" if I wanted. I was grateful for the offer of help.
- 2/5
Curtains stained with several holes ceiling and walls paint peeling mattress, dirty stained sheets look like they were not changed hair on the sheets bathroom had hole in the wall. Bathroom had a mildew odor.
- 1/5
The room i payed for was not available because it wasn’t cleaned so o had to downgrade to two full beds and it took two rooms before there was one that was clean enough to sleep in
- 4/5
Every piece of workout equipment in the fitness center was broken. The rest of the stay was excellent.
- 1/5
Even upon looking for a “stayable” room at midnight, some rooms even the receptionist did not recommend for us to consider. These conditions are very unacceptable and at the rate that we were paying $254.00 a night….. we are requesting full compensation for this.
- 5/5
The price was very reasonable. We chose this hotel for the pool and breakfast. The clerk checking us in was welcoming and friendly. We are going to be staying in Redding monthly and will be back.
- 4/5
Very good location to see the local sites. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was rather common place and didn’t show much imagination.
- 5/5
The staff was great and my room was clean and quiet. I visited the day after Labor Day so that could explain why the outdoor stairways had old dishes and garbage in them.
- 5/5
Room was clean and quite. Breakfast was good. The staff were very helpful. The property is at very continent location.
- 1/5
No, I will not be recommending this La Quinta Inn, or any other in this chain..
- 1/5
Stayed on the first floor disabled accessible room. There were bugs in the room and stains on the bed. The air conditioning unit was not working properly and they had limited towels when I requested a few extra. The condition of the property is pretty worn down and could use improvement in the many areas.
- 1/5
Room was in a very poor conditions and it has a very bad smell. Bathroom door did not cose. Shower curtain was falling. Beds were very uncomfortable.
- 1/5
If I could give this review 0 stars I could. Please DON’T stay on this hotel! My rate for 2 nights was a little over $300 and this is my first experience on a filthy, disgusting place.
- 1/5
Maintenance opened my door and tried to enter my room while I was asleep at 10pm, luckily I had the top latch locked and my pitbull in the room with as I am a solo female traveler. I will not be staying here again.
- 1/5
It was dirty, smelled bad, didn’t have a room number placard. Had a plastic bag over the fire alarm. Electrical outlet plates falling off of the outlets, a tub that didn’t drain. Stains on the sheets & comfoters. Floors were dirty.
- 5/5
We needed a room for the night with 3 people and 3 dogs and we were accommodated very nicely pet friendly and they were close to the freeway there is a great steakhouse in walking distance
- 2/5
The worse la Quinta I stayed in
- 5/5
Good
- 4/5
The public area, like stair way, elevator need a deep cleaning.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Location made it easy to get around
- 4/5
I loved that there were black-out blinds and great air conditioning. The room was big enough to visit family in there and there were 2 comfortable chairs. The toilet had a leak, but the staff was very responsive and helpful. I will use this property again!
- 2/5
Staff was very friendly. Weird missing items and random holes. La Quinta doesn’t seem to care about presentation or having all items accounted for. The hairdryer was missing from its holder in the bathroom and strange holes in the furniture/wall, so random.
- 4/5
The outdoor patios surrounding the pool had tall/unkept grass so it looked like they did not have a landscaping company. Tiny bottles of shampoo, no conditioner in bathroom. Most of the staff were friendly but some were not helpful.
- 5/5
I always stay here when traveling through Redding. Always quiet, safe, and clean!
- 5/5
The hotel itself is older and in need of some updates, but it was very clean and comfortable. The location is wonderful, and the grounds are quite lovely. The freeway access was great, and the location is quiet. There are several good dining options within walking distance.
- 4/5
Older hotel, back elevator smelled, hotel a little run down but had the most comfortable nights sleep.
- 2/5
For one they told me the pool was up and running and it wasn’t also the curtain was filthy. Disgusting. The bathtub was clogged. The front desk lady was awesome and the breakfast was very good. And the people that made the food were very friendly. And did a great job.
- 2/5
Breakfast was good and my daughter slept well on the memory foam mattress. Would NOT recommend!
- 1/5
Very very very poor staff and they have mold in the bathroom I asked for a manager number they didn’t provide I it’s the only place to stay in Redding I will not stay there i sleep in my car the front desk staff start making fun of me and they got a customer involved in that issue i need someone from laquinta management to call me at 9519064410 i will never recommend this facility to nobody
- 5/5
Staying here was great.
- 2/5
Front desk staff was great and helpful. We needed to move rooms as the room we received had a non-functioning a/c unit (it was close to 100 degrees) and they were very accommodating. But cleanliness was really poor and the facility is really old and in need of updates.
- 1/5
Bathroom shower knob covering detached from the wall just from turn on the water. While showering, the plaster on ceiling began falling apart and a chunk of plaster fell to the floor. The paint on the ceiling flakes just from the mild steam.
- 1/5
Big yellow stain on the ceiling No fan in the bathroom so when you shower, you can’t see anything it’s all steamy the curtains don’t close correctly so the water gets out. There was no mat or mat towel, water goes all over. The outside of the building has a lot of webs are sink in the bathroom. the plug thing wasn’t working. We had to call {Maintenance} it took him about 30 minutes to get it fixed. There were some kind of screws on the carpet. The carpet looks super dirty, even though maybe it was vacuumed.
- 3/5
The Hotel is in an easy access location. The lobby is nice and the hotel is spacious. The price was appealing as well. CONS: The room has an unclean smell, not stinky, but musty. While the linen and walls, furniture is clean, the draperies are stained and ripped the carpet is filthy. Perhaps vacuumed, but in a DESPERATE need of a Rug Doctor at the least! The carpet looks so bad it overshadows everything good!
- 2/5
I didn't like that it was outdated bad odors
- 5/5
Very accommodating check in. Room was just ok. It never got cool enough and while it was ok the beds being just ok were a problem for me. The pillows were either lumpy or too soft. There was no table or chairs in the room so we ate breakfast on hot edge of the bed. One of the two racks had been removed so the towels were laying on the counter. Room needs work…
- 1/5
towels had di
- 2/5
It smelled like cigarettes as soon as we walked in our room. The floors were stained. Bathroom was outdated. TV did not work.
- 2/5
Whole hotel needs a make over
- 3/5
breakfast and pool were great
- 5/5
Many good restaurants within walking distance to the hotel. Room is well furnished and the bed is comfortable.
- 2/5
The shower ran hot and cold within seconds, asked for housekeeping and they wouldn't show
- 2/5
The bed was comfortable, however the room looked like they just did a quick surface clean. The bathroom was dirty, had some stains. The tv was broken as well
- 4/5

- 4/5
All good.
- 2/5
The property is outdated and the carpet and bathroom shower was dirty.
- 5/5
Professional, courteous
- 1/5
First attempt at checking in. Check-in our first room. Smelled like a dog had pooped and peed. Turned out this is a pet friendly motel. Asked for another room. Second room TV did not work. Apparently they knew about it but sent me there. Third room attempt. No smell, TV worked, room was clean. Went to take a shower and the curtain rod was broken. Had to hold the curtain while taking a shower. Should I say something again??? I decided forget it! Just never coming back again.
- 4/5
This worked well for one night. It was clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is older so there's the broken tile and older fixtures and seems to need a fresh coat of paint, but it's clean and the breakfast was very good and the staff was friendly. We'd stay here again.
- 4/5
The staff was amazing and quick to answer anything needed. The room was quiet and clean. The hotel is older and has some issues with locking doors but I would definitely recommend and will likely stay again
- 5/5
I stayed for 2 nights coming and going to Washington State. Both rooms were clean and spacious. The beds were clean and very comfortable. I will stay there again on my next trip to Washington State.
- 1/5
No laundry facilities for self service. TV was small and Old, not enough outlets to plug in my devices. Pillows were flat as a pancake. Anderson motel 6 is 30$ cheaper and nicer!
- 1/5
what is the deal with the showers? No showerhead and the floor is gross!!!
- 3/5
- 2/5
It was smelly outside and the elevators were in bad shape and made noise that made me feel unsafe using it. The whole property was ran down and old especially the side entrance to our building. Just a poorly maintained property.
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly and kind..
- 4/5
Great place
- 4/5
The bed was comfortable.
- 2/5
Our room had the lovely view of a bunch of garbage they were hiding behind a fence. The AC was very loud, but if it wasn't running then the freeway was very loud, so take your pick of annoying noise. The room smelled like a 50 year old ashtray. The elevator was slow and looked sketchy, but my kid couldn't handle the smell of the stairwell so sketchy elevator it was.
- 3/5
Front desk staff was very nice and helpful at check in. The property itself was dirty. The pool had old rotten food and trash sitting on the chairs and the carpet looked like it’s never been cleaned. The staff that was maintaining the breakfast area was rude and was throwing dishes around when cleaning.
- 5/5
Everything was good, as I was expecting. There was a problem with the coffeemaker. That's not a bad problem.
- 1/5
We were duped believing the pictures on this hotel site provided an accurate description of this property. Unfortunately, this property with the exception of the lobby is a dump. There was overflowing garbage outside by the pool at all times, as if no one picks it up. Walking through the property to our room. I noticed diatrnnacious earth (for bugs) sprinkled along the rug line and the baseboards on first floor. In our room the toilet moved whenever you used it because it wasn’t secured to the floor, and the seat was broken not to mention there was other people‘s hair all over the floor and shower upon our arrival. Day 2, we received no maid service and when I went to the front desk to ask for towels, there was a lady requesting that someone come to clean blood and hair from a bathtub in her room. The front desk clerk was visibly annoyed and handed the woman a spray bottle and an old washcloth and said “here you go!” I couldn’t believe that the front desk clerk expected the guest to clean blood-borne pathogens in these disgusting rooms that were left from the previous guest. Breakfast was like a free-for-all with people putting 12 to 15 pieces of bacon on their plates, piling their plates and walking back to their rooms. They could’ve had healthier choices, other than eggs, folded into shapes, greasy bacon and sugar cereals.. Needless to say we won’t be returning and the likelihood that you could bedbugs is high. Come on La Quinta you can do better! Run down property!
- 1/5
The carpet in our rooms was absolutely disgusting. We had mold stains on the pillow cases. The mini fridge was filthy. My 3 year old nephew sliced his finger open on a broken chair in the room.
- 2/5
The staff were very nice, but the propery is run down. Half of the lights in my room didn't work. The fridge sounded like an airplane and there are very few outlets to charge electronics. The ice maker in the hallway made ice that tasted bad.
- 5/5
Convenient location
- 1/5
Hotel is in very poor condition and the worst I've ever encountered.
- 1/5
The property was absolutely disgusting. The room we stayed in smelled horrible. There were stains on the beds, carpets and in the bathroom.
- 3/5
Staff Ariel was wonderful. I reserved an accessible room and when i checked in it had no shower curtain, had mold in several areas of the bathroom, filthy chair a ripped chair and was generally unclean and no phone to call out. I let staff know and was moved to a different room that was clean and fresh. It was sad that the only accessible room was so unattended to and out dated. It was a regular room with grab bars in the bathroom with a regular step over tub. I would not stay at this hotel again due to those factors. I do want to stress that the staff person was wonderful and helpful and kind. She took my concern and did something to remedy the situation.
