Location was right off the freeway. Close to restaurants. Although the restroom was clean, it had a strong smelled of urine. Needs to be cleaned with bleach.

Clean, nice room The booking claimed there was a free “grab-n-go” breakfast (like almost every hotel has). I wake up in the morning to zero breakfast? The staff told me oh it’s okay because I can order really expensive room service. There were two other groups of people there as well, complaining about the same thing.

The staff were excellent. I had to check in early and there was a room for me. The very nice lady took two minutes to get me registered and I made it to my meeting. The entire time that I was at the hotel, the staff provided excellent service. Thank you!

That it was close to the freeway. Cockroach in the room and the ac was super load and called front desk and they wouldn’t answer.

The front desk staff was friendly and professional. Room was clean and spacious. My only complaints were: 1) the bathroom sink drained slowly, 2) had problems with the WiFi, and 3) I had to carry my luggage up a flight of stairs to my room.

They were remodeling the bar/ restaurant. We were given a free breakfast sandwich)fruit/ beverages etc. Room was great. Pool great and hot tub also fine but no real jets on hot tub. Next door at Red Lion had a bar and food that was great. They had a band at 8:30 that was fun and had a big local following. Friendly staff. No jets in hot tub. It was hot out like 100 but that's common I guess.

I wanted to rate this property excellent. Very freindly staff. Immaculately clean rooms. Quiet rooms. Almost everything worked.(Lighting, TV and remote, hairdryer, iron. Generously stocked dual tissue dispenser, two garbage receptacles. Then, the one black mark, leaped out and slapped me across the face. The coffee maker was Keurig. In my decades of travel, staying at hundreds of hotels, I have yet gotten a cup of coffee from this garbage. Despite following the schematic to a Tee. Despite maker being plugged in, despite despenser insertion and depression, despite power button lighting when depressed, the brew light, once again, after hundreds of former attempts at other hotels, did not lighting and issue a cup of coffee. Thank you management for providing garbage, in order to save some money. This has happened way too many times at too many hotels to be an accident. Read above.

Had an earwig and spider in the shower, way too many electric vehicle spots in relation to regular parking spots. Like do you really need 20 open spots reserved for electric vehicles

The room was clean, updated. The hotel was easy to find with plenty of parking. The dining room was not open. So, there was little to no breakfast available as people were helping themselves by the time we got there. The bathroom was an awkward design there was no counter space for toiletries. And two sinks: one in the bathroom and one by the front door.

I always return to this facility as the cleanliness, amenities and service are excellent.

Clean; courteous staff Lousy breakfast, NO creamer for coffee, no towels in pool area, no poo bags for dogs. I always bring extra, but not everyone does. For an extra $40 per night, it’s not unreasonable to expect them to be provided. No microwave in room.

Alex at the front desk was friendly, helpful, and swift with our check-in. Rooms were clean. Restaurant was under renovation but the hotel offered a voucher to a nearby restaurant, which was thoughtful. TVs in the room are whimsically small, but who cares :) My boys enjoyed the gym and the outdoor pool was maintained well Would stay here again.

The staff was awful. They gave us the wrong key and told us the wrong room number. The line was incredibly long and the staff member took forever to get through it. The continental breakfast was a joke. Coffee with no cream. Biscuits and nothing else. Ridiculous. Stressful. Not worth the money.

Several restaurants near by and easy access to the highway. Staff members were nice and helpful. Unusual hallways and landings. Breakfast was a joke. The offering was bagel, yogurt, or an egg/ bacon sandwich or wrap. This is not much of a choice especially if you are a vegetarian. All other items were for sale on the wall. Asked for a later check out but could only have it if I signed up for the rewards program which at least was free.

The price on expedia went up while we were trying tofind a place. We felt rushed to choose a motel; and we felt as though we had to grab something just to get a room. Bottom line paid a lot for a noisy room, poor nights rest and no breakfast. We will not stay here again!

The room was comfortable but the bathroom door was broken. The pool was filthy. I ended up cleaning the pool myself using a plastic cup with holes punched in the bottom. My first hour was spent “scooping” out debris/dead bugs.

I blame Expedia for this. The hotel was going thru major renovation and there were no food services. We picked this place because we needed to get moving in the morning and were planning on having breakfast at the hotel. As soon as I walked down to the lobby to figure the situation out, we had magically been switched to another room, and was even asked where on the property we wanted to stay. The rooms were clean enough. Carpets were a little dirty, as in stains. In our bathroom there were cobwebs and a little friend named charlotte who lived in it during our stay. Staff was nice enough.

This is an older property that has been and is still being renovated. Being a taller person above 6 ft i almost hit my head in the hallways and the shower head came up to my neck but everything else was great. Amazing customer service, clean property and rooms, and a very comfortable stay

Elevator was non functional (we were told it was for the hotels renovation that we learned of on arrival) and no room on 1st floor so my biz partner and i had 2 rooms on 2nd floor. Two of 3 stairwells marked off limits apparently due to renovation. We only needed a single night on a biz road trip. Would not stay there again and Holiday inn lost its rep in my book. I know the need for renovation bit accomodate your guests. The fact my business partner was recovering from foot surgery didnt help.

As they are refreshing the decor, the parts that finished are so modern and as always clean. There is a small breakfast buffet you pay for if you wa t to eat in the very nice dining room that serves a delish menu.

As they are refreshing the decor, the parts that finished are so modern and as always clean. There is a small breakfast buffet you pay for if you wa t to eat in the very nice dining room that serves a delish menu.

Hotel is under renovation and very inconvenient

The phone didn't work and the bathtub had no stopper, hence no bath. They adjusted the price for the inconvience. Thank you

Breakfast was advertised as free but when we went downstairs to eat there were no plates and we were told breakfast would be $12.50. While we were eating, the front desk clerk came and said breakfast would be on them.

The bed was comfortable, and it was very quiet.

Pretty expensive for a mid-tier hotel.

Our room was dirty so they gave us another one. The staff was friendly and nice, but it was still gross to check into a room covered in crumbs and other food droppings. Everything looked like it was falling apart, even our room number barely existed. The photos make the place look a lot nicer than it was.

The check-in process took forever. The room had a very weird empty extra space- hard to describe but it was a suitelike it was supposed to be a suite but it was left unfinished. This was for a "premium" room. The TV was old and outdated and cable TV didn't include Bay Area sports (despite the channel being on the printed hotel list) so no Warriors game. Breakfast is an extra charge ($12 each I think). Overall, I think you can do better in the area.

Great hotel, enjoyed our short stay. Front desk service could be better. Long check in and waited 20 minutes to get an extra key while two other guests checked in.

Nothing special about this hotel. Desk staff acted as if we were inconveniencing them by checking in. Rooms were average at best. They could use a good thorough cleaning.

When I told the front desk clerk that I didn’t get any sleep cause of the bad heater, the response was, I’ll get maintenance to look at it, no sorry or anything. No recognition that it wasn’t a good stay. Will think twice before going to a Holiday inn again.

The check in process was a fantastic experience.

Clean, quiet and fairly priced. Could use an update in the room decor. Room was clean, but rather dark.

Room was cleaned only 2 times in a 6day stay. One of the night time female desk workers is not happy to be working here. The other evening female desk employee is great.

Telephone in room wasn’t working

Stayed here for one night for a family reunion. Hotel was clean, although needs to be updated. The windows were not air tight and let the cold air in the room. Breakfast had a good with a variety.

Pretty close to freeway and shopping malls. But the walk from front desk to room is too long and need to walm up 2 stairs.. not good for people who have kids and big luagages.

Got in very late- was grateful the room was at a good temp and that not only did the bed have standard king size pillows but that there was a full size sink outside the bathroom with a fully illuminated mirror so we didn’t have to crowd each other out trying to get ready for bed.

I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past and everything there is excellent. However, I was uable to make this trip and this was the first time I used Expedia to book my travel. Never again!!!!!! I purchased the trip insurance in addition to paying for the hotel. I was not granted a refund - the reason for my cancellation was not one of the reasons to choose. I love the Holiday Inn Express in Redding and will stay there again in the future - but I will NEVER use EXPEDIA again.

Havning Tesla chargers right next to the hotel was great.

It's a large facility, spread out long wait to your room dragging your luggage.

Good stay, wonderful breakfast, clean rooms, good amenities and pool.

Rooms were fine, two sinks was noce in the room, there was a wet spot in the carpet between the beds but over all clean and comfy.

Room was clean and comfortable. Quiet and slept well. Close to some good restaurants.

The biggest criticism is with the EV chargers on site - the non-Tesla chargers do NOT work. There seems to be a dearth of EV chargers in Redding so when we saw that this hotel had chargers, we booked it. I know that the hotel itself is not responsible for the chargers but, the property owner should care that they don’t work - he’s not making any money off of them. We ended up charging at the ONE fast charger at the Target a mile away in the morning which delayed our departure.
