I'm going to comment on The morals of this place, outstanding! What do I mean? When arriving late with my wife it was around 1:00 in the morning I was asked if I lived locally in Redding I do not so I replied no when my wife asked is there a discount if we lived in Redding we were informed that they do not give people rooms that are from Redding because if they are local then the likelihood is that they're out doing something bad that they cannot do at home so they simply do not give room to locals. At first this kind of struck me as a bit arrogant there could be plenty of reasons why a person would need a room for a night but then I realized of all the horrible things that go on in hotels that I have never been to any hotel that cares what goes on in the rooms and so it actually made me feel like that place was a heck of a lot more cleaner than any other place. Although I am against immorality I do not like having to explain myself either. But in the end the owners make the rules and have the right to refuse service to anyone so good for them trying to take a stand against prostitution and things like this.

Prob bring an extension cord with extra outlets. The building is old but clean, and there are limited number of outlets.

We had a wonderful stay at Americana Hotel! The location was convenient, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and accommodating throughout our visit. Great value for the price, and perfect for a family getaway. We would definitely stay here again!

“Beach front beach” closed due to monk seal. This has been for 4-5 weeks. They should’ve notified guests that the beach is inaccessible at this time.

Clean room, excellent staffs with their warm behavior, good service. Offered free coffee/ hot drinks/water at the lobby. Nice, cozy courtyard to spend time with kids and family. The only thing was the ac had a loud fan sound, which was little disturbing throughout the night.

A lovely experience. I was only here for one night as I was passing through to Portland, but I’m glad I chose to stop here. Clean, conveniently located, and a smooth check-in process. I would definitely stay again:)

Stay here a few times per year for work. It’s clean and in a great area. Walkable to restaurants, bars, and shopping. They have the best customer service

Free hot cocoa, a laundry basket, washing pods, a basket of additional wash cloths, and I really appreciated a toaster oven available to guests. So many nice extras…I highly recommend!

This is a very clean, newly renovated, and friendly motel. I stayed here for one night on a road trip and I felt very safe. I took a second level room because I was by myself. It was easy to get to and since the properties pretty small, there wasn't a long walk anywhere. When you close the door, it's fairly quiet, considering the street noise. My only, very small nit, is that TV is just DIRECTV, so you can't connect your own streaming services. And, they need a nightlight in the bathroom because it gets pretty dark in there. But otherwise, it's a great choice!

The room was nicely appointed with a new TV, large bathroom with a walk in shower. The bed was bit firmer than I prefer. The traffic noise wasn't too bad considering how close to the highway it was. Close to food options on the walkable portion of what may have been downtown.

It was good for a quick night sleep

Everything was welcoming and friendly from the lovely woman who checked us in to the spotless, nice-sized room with a comfortable king bed, microwave and small frig. Free parking. A few snacks and coffee/water are free in lobby. The air conditioner worked great too…always a plus during hot weather. Note that there is no pool or breakfast provided. (Reflected in reasonable price!) We ate breakfast around the corner at Deja Vu which was quite good. Would definitely stay there again!

Cute hotel, just like its name it’s a piece of Americana. The renovations were done very well, and it was extremely comfortable. Right in the heart of downtown.

We needed another set of towels this time. The first time we stay, we didn’t have that problem.

This hotel had such high ratings that I thought finally some place in Redding would be nice to stay. I did not feel safe to walk to any place. The room was very noisy. I could see light coming through the space around the door and there was no safety latch other than the door lock. We will not be staying here again.

This place is the nicest motel style lodging I have seen. Friendly, clean, and even stylish.

Parking is tight and contained. It felt safe. I'm glad I had my jeep compass and not my truck though since I came in very late, I might not have found parking. Luckily my jeep is small and I found myself a corner. The room was clean, Staff friendly and the free water and snacks in the front office was great. There are several nice places to eat near by.

SUPER HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY STAFF, VERY KIND AND GENEROUS, ROOM WAS HUGE AND IT HAS EVERYTHING YOU NEED. not much but there are rooms for improvements in terms of the amenities and facilities.

What a great place ! Very retro cute. LOVED the pet photo book in the lobby and all the free amenities. Easy walking to lots of restaurants. Stayed in room 123 which had 2 king beds in separated rooms. Nice large bathroom. Very clean. Upgraded toiletries. All at a very economical rate. Will definitely stay here again when passing thru.

This is the best spot to stay. In the past when driving through Redding we have stayed elsewhere but we will stay here from now on. The guest service was excellent, the room was incredibly clean and the location is perfect. 10/10

1st time here, we enjoyed our stay. Everything was great! Staff extremely friendly. Rooms could use update in bathroom and more water pressure. Will definitely stay here again!!

Friendly and professional staff

Outdoors they have benches and tables to gather around and relax. They have a dog area, too. Very secure. They close up side in and out gates at night so you can only drive in and out from the entrance of the hotel late at night. We have never had any problems with parking, too. I would recommend this place to stay when visiting Redding.

Parking super tight - but typical motel style. Cute little place - a fun update of an older motor motel - with great bed and clean shower and bath. Good solid 3.5/5.0. Decent value for dollar. Some sketchy mental health / drug types wandering thru the parking lot at 0800H might be a shock for some used to a more suburban life - but just the typical urban experience now.

Room was clean, staff was amazing and property was great. Highly recommend this as a great place to stop as you’re traveling on I5. More than pet friendly, our dogs were welcomed! Perry at the front desk was great and so outgoing. Everyone we interacted with was fantastic.

The room was so nice, clean, modern and stylish. Very close to the downtown vibe and plenty of places to eat. The other hotel on the block was so scary, and I was fearful of a car break in. But the staff assured me it was secure and I didn't experience any trouble.

So adorable! This motel was perfect from check-in experience at 12 am to check-out 9 hours later. Staff was extremely welcoming and accommodating. All the little details of free water, free parking (what a novelty right?!), and adorable decor. The beds were huge, big TV, and spacious clean bathroom. Must have had a recent remodel as everything was perfect. We even looked up and the ceiling had shiplap! We will definitely be staying here if we ever travel back through Redding.

We stopped at this hotel on our road trip. The layout of the room (2 queen beds and a king bed) worked well for our family of 5. The room was clean, though is needing a bit of love (paint touch ups, some art or something to dampen the echoy acoustics. The TV in the one room didn’t work, but we made do with the second TV. The front desk staff was super friendly and even changed our room so we were on the ground floor.

Road trip with our two big dogs from Seattle to LA. Americana Modern Hotel was a perfect fit for our family for our quick overnight in Redding enroute to LA. BIg shout out to the front desk staff person who was so kind and accommodating (I wish i had gotten his name!) . We had a great stay!

I was especially impressed with the beauty products as I have skin allergies, but they were not reactive to what's in the room. I also felt very safe and the location was a pleasant enough place to go for a night walk.

The staff was wonderful. Helpful and friendly. Unfortunately the location of this hotel makes it very noisy. The traffic, the train going by at least three times in 24 hours and the proximity to the nearby hospital with the ambulances blaring their sirens made it very difficult to sleep. The beds were also extremely firm so it didn’t work for me.

Very friendly staff. The only thing is found that like other places floors are dirty. Was wearing white socks and it turned brown blackish. So be sure to bring slippers in or wear black socks. We are also requesting exfra pillows but staff said they would but nobody came. But overall, in my opinion its a nice tiny place to stay just for an overnight or passing through town.

It was fine--a basic room with basic amenities. Wish the pet area was a bit bigger honestly. Do note that it's not a great walking neighborhood for your dog if you bring yours. The staff were lovely and kind.

The hotel looked to be newly renovated and very clean. I was most impressed with the front desk staff. We encountered three different gentlemen, and each one was delightful. Thank you for making us feel welcome during our visit.

First of all, this is not a hotel. It's a motel. Second of all, it's nicely updated with some of the friendliest people around. Parking felt safe. Hotel felt safe and the beds were comfortable enough. The fridge was super small and pointless for us to even attempt, so that was a bummer. The bathroom was clean and the shower was nice. We were surprised this wasn't a hotel with an elevator so we had to make a last minute switch to a bottom floor in a pet friendly room and I'm super allergic to dogs so that was a bummer. We felt a little misled by the word "Hotel" in the name. It's an updated motel but it's still not a hotel (aka no elevator). We also had a ton of noise upstairs from us and had a hard time sleeping but it was a rookie move not to have earplugs in when we went to sleep. Even with the sound machine app on the noise still woke us, so make sure you have earplugs if you are on the bottom floor. Would I stay here again? Maybe. But only if we had earplugs and made the reservation on the bottom floor without a pet friendly room. Oh, also - this isn't a breakfast included type of breakfast and we felt that was also a little false in the advertising. There are granola bars, coffee, and water. No muffins, no bagels, no yogurt - not even a continental breakfast. I thought I recalled it was included but I wouldn't say that it's breakfast. Coffee is included which is great. That's it.

This was the last hotel we stayed at on a long trip through California. What an absolute treasure. The room was immaculate and comfortable. Modern updates throughout. The property is adorable. But the absolute best part was the incredible, bright, friendly staff! We were greeted by two lovely employees when we arrived who got us all situated with extra towels. When we dropped the key cards, a different employee greeted us and made sure we saw the complimentary breakfast pieces available to us, and wished us a safe trip. These adorable accommodations are so rare nowadays, and we just loved this place.

Parking was a little challenging as you need to take a side street to access the hotel. This is a motel really, you park in front of the rooms.

The staff were outstanding and very eager to please. Beds were comfortable, and it was a quiet room at night, and its in a great location to walk to some excellent dining, and bike ride or walk to the river trail. I will for sure stay here again when in Redding. Its definitely a great price for the accommodations!

The architectural style and flair from the exterior was the initial draw - and the hotel room interior did not disappoint. Everything is new and well maintained. Very clean. However, the highlight was the friendly, observant, and informative staff. Wow! Really on top of their game — this is a professional team! In addition , the hotel is conveniently located near outstanding restaurants in the charming downtown area — some of the best meals I’ve had in CA! Also, the hotel provides free snacks and water AND in the mornings some of the best coffee I’ve had on this trip! I’m definitely coming back the next time we visit Redding!

I have seen this property a lot on Expedia and it had one of the highest reviews. I travel with work on business all over and I was staying in Reading this trip and decided I would stay. I was pleasantly surprised with how beautiful the rooms were. The staff was wonderfully nice wonderfully available and at service to all its guests. I know they’ve had to work hard to get this property. Look like it is and they’ve done a great job.

I’m on a work trip and have stayed at 3 different hotels this week (independent hotel, large chain, and Americana Modern Hotel) and this was by far the cleanest and most modern room that I’ve had.

This hotel is very convenient. The rooms are nice and the price is usually good. Friendly front desk staff and some nice extra amenities.

I needed to spend an extra night on a road trip to Oregon, as I had gotten sick during the trip. Americana Modern made me feel completely comfortable and relaxed. It’s in downtown Redding, a good part of town that is undergoing renovations to make it even better.

Absolutely amazing place! Well… the place is great, super clean, beautiful, well designed, very practical etc… it has a nice little courtyard, pretty great parking, extremely well located. BUT… the workers…. EVERYONE OF THEM (and I witnessed many of them working) are AMAZING!! What an incredible experience staying here. I’d give more stars if I could. Oh.. also… very reasonably and fair priced. I’ve stayed in many hotels many many times. This hotel understands what it means to be hospitable!! AWESOME!!

Front desk (3 different shifts) especially Mateo were all wonderful, friendly, helpful and smiley. We really enjoyed the fire pit, games in the lobby, thoughtful tea selection and offerings and well as complimentary waters and granola bars. Outdoor plants and soft music in the gathering space made for a nice evening and morning tea. Alex the manager was wonderful as well.

If you want to be in town this is great. Walking you feel safe and places to go. Staff was friendly and helpful. They have modernized but rooms are small.

We loved it! With the exception of carpet in our room is in need of a good shampooing. The grounds are so cool love the theme of the place. they did a great job refurbishing what was probably once a dilapidated motel. Room is big, bed was huge and comfortable, the place was cute and stylish. Staff was extremely friendly. But the bathroom lighting sucked. It was way too bright, attached to a motion sensor, that flooded the room with light whenever anyone stepped into it. Fix that and I would give this five stars.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Americana Modern Hotel and it made for a great home base for our travels in and around Redding. From check-in to check-out, the staff were friendly and helpful to us. There are fully stocked coffee, snacks, and water in the lobby at all times. Our only issue was parking on the first night that we stayed at the Americana given that it was such a busy weekend during the Labor Day holiday, but we were able to find a parking spot towards the end of the lot. I would come back and recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Redding.

This hotel is a renovated motel (meaning you park your car in front of your room rather than in a parking lot then lug your luggage back to the lobby, then down long hallways to your room). The owners did a fantastic job with the remodel - flooring, ceilings, furnishings, etc. I think whoever planned this remodel could (and should) be in the business of planning remodels for other hotels/motels. It was that nice and modern. Staff (both checkin and checkout) were very friendly, nice, and helpful. We would DEFINITELY stay here again.

I think it is really expensive when I see the property condition. Also in expedia really bad to know about the property condition and near by property. It looks totally bad experience and don’t want book through the expida.

Property manager was amazing, communication was very clear and helpful. The sheets are a little scratchy, and the floors are like a black vinyl, when I walked barefoot with my family on the floor floors, our feet got very black. We did stay in a room that allows pets, however, the floors were too dirty. I would stay here again, stopping through.

Loved the fact there were three beds and all our family could stay together in one room. Unfortunately the floors were disgustingly dirty. We had to wear shoes inside the whole time or our feet turned black from the floors. Which was also unfortunate with white bedsheets. We also found a coffee cup still wrapped up but had someone’s pee left in the cup…. The little things count when caring for each hotel room. Wish the staff would take more time making sure the rooms were ready and clean for the next guest.

I like staying at this hotel when I am in town for work. Rooms are always spotless, bathrooms are huge and beds are comfortable. They provide hot and cold water to drink and an assortment of tea.

Cute little hotel at a great price!

From the moment I called to ask about trailer parking, the team was kind and accommodating. They confirmed they’d make room for our trailer at no extra cost and reassured me it would be safe overnight. On the day of our stay, I even received a thoughtful text from the hotel checking in on our arrival time and wishing us safe travels. Due to an unexpected highway closure, we didn’t arrive until after midnight, but even that late, the check-in experience was outstanding. The staff greeted us by name, had planned ahead for our trailer, and placed us in a room where we could park it directly outside w/in view and behind a secure gate they offered to open for us in the morning. Knowing the property was monitored by cameras gave us complete peace of mind. The hotel itself is charming, stylish, and clearly cared for. Our room was spotless, beautifully renovated, and comfortable.The bed was perfect, the water pressure in the shower was amazing, and the towels were soft and plush. Little details like outdoor seating, easy parking, and nearby spots like a donut shop and Dutch Bros made it even better. I will absolutely make it a point to stay at the Americana Modern Hotel.

I found the Americana Modern Hotel in Redding overrated compared to its Expedia reviews. The room had very few amenities, the concrete floor looked and felt dirty, and the poor soundproofing meant I could hear guests walking upstairs. Overall, the room felt bland and had a strange vibe. I wouldn’t stay here again.
