Holiday Inn Rancho Cordova by IHG

The only downside is... when booking you don't see that the hotel is undergoing (much needed!) renovations. There are temporary inconveniences and aesthetic shortcomings, including some daytime banging around. For example, the restaurant is now being renovated (great!) and so is closed. The lobby is old and funky, the elevators tired...all of which is fine. I just think guests should know that ahead of time and perhaps a small discount is in order while this is going on. But the floor we stayed on has already been refreshed. Everything was new, smelled nice, and the rooms were very spacious. I would stay here again for the friendly staff and their outstanding breakfast alone. Thank you, Holiday Inn Rancho Cordova! So interested to see your new look next time we pass through.

The food that is served could be a lot more better for the price you are paying to stay there and i didn’t like that paper plates and plastic utensils were used as well. It’s not that many patrons in my opinion to be using paper plates and plastic utensils and it made my stay feel cheap if that makes sense. Purchase of breakfast during stay i would bypass and go to the nearest ihop or dennys for a better breakfast experience I didn’t know the Marriott was literally next door which is where I will be staying for future trips to the area. And if possible you should try putting families with children housed on one side of the hotel and individuals without kids on the other side children are so noisy and lack self awareness hearing kids all hours of the day when you just want to relax was kinda annoying for me but it’s a nice hotel for I’d say families

This property is under maintenance but the staff is doing everything they can to keep customers happy. The hallway carpet is dated and the rooms need renovations. The hotel is working on it, but it is clean. I like the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided. Breakfast was optional, but it is cooked to ordered. The cost of the breakfast is worth the price due to food inflation. I did not use the pool, but it appears clean and ready for use.

We've stayed here many times and are pleased with every stay. The hot tub and sauna are a nice amenity, the breakfast is fresh, tasty and a great value, the staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable and clean.

The hot tub was VERY dirty, there was a thick film around the entire top of the tub. While I understand leaves from the tree, the pool was also dirty. The sauna was not in working order. Our room also had cleanliness issues in the bathroom, like a dirty shower and walls in the bathroom.

We had planned to enjoy the jacuzzi but it was outdoors and too cold to be out. The dry sauna was also not enjoyed due to the door not shutting so, heat would escape. The hotel is under construction so, we were awakened at 8 AM with hammering noises. The cleaning staff outside of our door was loud.

We booked this hotel 2 adults and 2 kids with breakfast including. When we get into the hotel we only got vouchers for 2 adults.They said children over 12 years old, breakfast does not included. Breakfast in this hotel ~$17/ child. (Just keep in mind). It's an older hotel, even if its been upgraded, the smell is there.

The front desk managenent needs to be trained on hotel policy instead of making guests question their competence to run the holiday inn. I would like a refund. The jacuzzi was filthy with suds consuming the top of it with black abd brown dead skin. It was disturbing and not what Iexpected from Holiday Inn. I would never stay there again. The dish tv was a joke. It offered no way to have interenet so we could watch our own stuff. Just stuck with nothing but commercials. That was frustrsting since we were just looking forward to chill out in the room.

We had the most enjoyable 1-night stay, everything was first-rate - relaxing hot-tub, yummy breakfast and friendly staff!

Heading to our room the wall said “Ice Machine and Vending Machine” but there was only the ice machine. The vending machine was on the other side of the hotel. The bar/restaurant drinks and food weren’t very good. They had construction going outside but it didn’t interfere with our stay.

Room can hear noise from next room. When I turned the air conditioner to 'fan', bad smell came out.

The hotel is old and not up to regular Holiday Inns that we have experienced. Sink faucet didn't work well. We hope that renovations will extend to all of the rooms. They need a complete makeover. The outside renovation won't help if you don't fix the rooms. Read above.

The staff was so friendly, we loved coming to a clean room, and my little girls loved the pool. There was some construction work going on so it was a little loud but other than that it was a perfect stay.

During my stay they were constructing next room and i literally couldn’t sleep during my vacation because of noises. They should come up with some other alternate plan for construction not while guests is staying in next room.

Overall room was great but breakfast was a bit of a struggle-we sat down for 10 min w out drinks or anyone to welcome/serve us. Employees were talking all together while we sat there. Ended up ordering to-go. Food was okay.

The desk staff were nice and professional at check in. However, it appears they limit their service to patrons using 3rd parties like Expedia. The staff was exceptionally helpful. They made sure that I had a room that met my requirements for handrails in the bathtub. They could not have been friendlier and more helpful. Not just the front desk but the people also who were cleaning the rooms and providing the amenities upon request. I really appreciate, the concern, service, and friendliness of the staff

Everything was great. The staff even let me check in a couple hours early without making a big deal. The room was very clean and the bartender was very friendly. The drinks were very expensive but nobody forced me to order them so its really on me. All in all i was very satisfied.

An average hotel, nothing stood out as exceptional. The restaurant is great for breakfast but not for dinner only hamburgers and deep fried stuff for dinner. They do have a very good pool and hot tub area but it’s winter.

One of or rooms the heat didn't work and it was freezing . Noise upstairs was noisy up till 11pm. People above me were load and at 6am I woke up to someone throwing up every 10 min. No e of us got any sleep.

It was dark when I arrived and there's construction going on at the front entrance of the hotel. It was confusing as there's no noticeable sign on how to get in to the lobby. I had to circle around the hotel before I found it. It would have helped if the lights were bright.

Previous stays, I've always had a pleasant experience. But this time, I booked two rooms for my family and both rooms had terrible beds. They need to update every bed and/or get new ones. Also, our shower wasn't draining properly. Come on, guys. Do better than this. I think the only bright spot on this trip was breakfast. The next morning we had breakfast in the downstairs restaurant and the service by our server (a middle-aged Latina lady) was outstanding. I wish I got her name. She was attentive, did the 2-bite check, followed up to see if we needed anything else and smiled. Great food and great service. We'll be back only if there's a great deal. I was disappointed this time when all the other times I"ve stayed her (over a dozen), have always been good.

The expectations are high since I like this facility as my go to place. I was not greeted as a premier IHG member. Aside from that, always pleased to find a great place to stay, very clean and quiet which I cherish on a business trip. Instant access to the web . It’s not a great area to walk outside but very nearby is the American river and lake natomas which is great for biking/running and walking with old town Folsom real close by as well. Super quaint old town with lots of shops and eateries etc. great stay and highly recommend this Holiday Inn.

There was construction going on at the entrance and we arrived late due to a baseball tournament. We had difficulty finding the entrance to the front desk. We finally located it and waited for a while to check in. The room was clean, beds were comfortable and amenities were good. No complementary breakfast. It met our needs after a long day.

It was late when I arrived, I bit the bullet bc I was tired from traveling and no energy to look for something else nor argue with hotels.com so I made the best of it. If you are considering this hotel, please pay the extra $20 and stay somewhere else.

This raises serious concerns about cleanliness, sanitation, and pest control. I couldn't rest, worried about possible roaches or even eggs in the room. For a major hotel brand, this is completely unacceptable, and I wont be booking here again.

Great staff and location. The entire complex is clean and attractive. Had some probs with air conditioner thermostat and couldn't hookup to WiFi. The restaurant has like 2 items on the menu but plenty of other restaurants close by.

The room was extremely clean and smelled good! it was handy that they supply everything you could need for cleanliness. One of the best Holiday Inn's or hotels I've stayed in and will definitely use them again when i am in the area.

Overall it’s a decent hotel. It is currently undergoing renovations so my review is based on the room I stayed in which does not seem to have been renovated recently. There was grout missing in the tile bathroom and the sink area was not as clean as it could have. The area surrounding the hotel was a little sketchy but the hotel itself was good.

I had a great experience using Holiday Inn. The room was clean and roomy. I really liked the line of Dove products available during my stay. Hand wash, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. Staff was great If I had to pick a con...the walls were a bit thin because throughout the night I kept hearing people opening and closing their doors which woke me up frequently. But overall had a great experience.

Finding its location could be a bit tricky but overall it is a nice place. Bed to me was a bit hard but wife said it was fine. nice,small breakfast buffet in morning you can purchase.

Front desk staff (Veronica) was very professional and helped moved us to another room when bedding in our first room was wet. Also, Lupe was very helpful when inquiring about our stay. Overall, our stay was peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was very good too. Thank you!

Everything was great, but someone needs to check the ac in room 214. It was set at 65 but never got below 75 degrees. Fan provided by staff helped some

The room was nice and clean. The bedding was good. They were doing renovations on the exterior but only during business hours, it did not disrupt me at all.

Staff was simply wonderful (again) and our stay was as comfortable as always. Thank you!

Excellent I like everything

I liked the room and I liked the staff, especially the bartender/server in the restaurant. He recommended a dinner dish that was excellent and very reasonably priced.

Upon arrival and walking into lobby there was a strong smell of Cannabis. Front desk people were very nice. Elevator sounded like it was on its last leg. Carpets were very old, stained and smelled like a locker room. The room wasn’t cleaned properly as we found someone’s sock by the bed and towels had hair on them. Bed is very lumpy.

Very nice hotel. Clean and modern. Very well maintained and the staff was great. We will stay here again. The hot tub had a little problem though. It had about 6 inches of foam on top. Afraid to go in there. Otherwise everything was perfect.

Nice place to stay, but I will NEVER stay at a Holiday Inn again. This is the second time in a row where it’s taken weeks to get back a $100 deposit. It’s been almost 3 weeks and still $100 deposit refund

The location was conveniently off the freeway, but quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. The facilities included a pool, large jacuzzi, and a dry sauna. The breakfast tasted homemade and was a pleasant surprise, not your grab and go breakfasts many hotels now provide. It’s a little dated, but clean.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The customer service was superb and very easy to communicate with. I will come back if anything in the future with this!

I had requested a room facing the street and away from the freeway. I got a room in one of the wings and the freeway noise kept me awake the whole night. Also, the bed was slanted towards the middle of the room so was not very comfortable. You need to rotate the mattresses from time to time so it doesn't feel like you your' going to roll out of bed and fall on the floor. The room only had one regular (non-decaf) coffee pod and my wife and I both like to have a cup of regular coffee when we first wake up. Otherwise I liked the hotel and the room. The staff were very pleasant.

Second time we have stayed here, the check in was rough, being checked into somebody else’s room, then having to relocate all our belongings, to a new room and then given the wrong keys, and room number. It took over an hour to settle in and figure this out making us late for dinner reservations and having to find something else to eat on a whim. The walls are paper thin and could hear everything going on all hours of the day and night in our room. Breakfast was buffet last time but this time we had to order, and were the second people in the Restraunt then it took over 30 min for them to bring us basic breakfast food.

Staff was VERY kind. Our room had an empty bottle of alcohol in it and the blow dryer was broken.

The bed was uncomfortable, spring mattress basically. I didn’t get much sleep during my stay at this location. It was so noisy due to construction noises and hearing chairs being dragged on the floor on the floor above. The walls are thin and you can hear so much. Usually accommodates had water bottles in the room but there was none in my room. There were also no cotton swabs like I’d experienced in other Holiday Inn locations. The room was very musty and the smell was unpleasant.

The location was great with near by restaurants and shopping centers. The front desk employees were very helpful. I will definitely be returning 🙂

Chris at check in, was excellent!! Explained all of the hotel's amenities and where everything was located. He even looked up who delivered pizza in the area for us! Then told us, they had a restaurant on site, with really good food. Chris was right!! The burger and chicken pasta we had were really good. Nice server too.

The beds were rough and very noisy. Doors do not close all of the way unless you wait and pull them shut. Inside the hotel was clean but there were needles in the parking lot and homeless hanging around at night.
