I immediately called the front desk. The associate explained that she was the only employee on duty and initially said there was little she could do. After I expressed my concern, she came to the room with a broom and offered to move me to another room. However, it was already around 1:00 a.m., I had spent nearly an hour unpacking, and I needed to be up at 6:00 a.m. for work, so moving rooms at that hour was not a practical solution. Unfortunately, when attempting to remove the cockroach, it was knocked from the ceiling onto the bed and disappeared. I was left extremely anxious about sleeping in the room, hoping it had escaped. Unfortunately, it had not. Later, the cockroach ran across me while I was in bed, which was both shocking and upsetting. The front desk associate was polite and did make an effort to help under difficult circumstances, but the overall experience was unacceptable. Finding a cockroach in the room is concerning enough; having it end up in the bed and then crawl across me during the night made for a very stressful and sleepless stay.

This is our second time here, we love this area. The hotel is nice, and the breakfast was really good for a hotel free breakfast.

room terrible service. I arrived at 1:30am only to find that the hotel was overbooked and they couldnt check me in. They offered a different hotel 3 miles away, did not offer transportation there (again it was 1:30am). When I looked up the hotel offered to me, a night stay there was $100, whereas I had prepaid $275 for this night. I asked to speak with a manager who was not available. I decided to not check in and instead stayed with a friend overnight. The next day I checked in for my second night and the manager claimed she would refund me for the first night, but they did not do so until several days after my trip when I called back to request the refund. They also didn't refund the tax fee for the first night, and didn't respond to my email when I pointed it out. I had to do a chargeback on my credit card to get that money back. All the staff was also not at all apologetic and stated overbooking was something that happens frequently at this hotel and that its my fault for arriving late and booking through a 3rd party (booking.com).

I didn't get a chance to ride the he shuttle this time, but I definitely loved that there was a shuttle if you needed it. I have small kids the only thing I didn't like was that I had to park in the Harris Teeter parking garage and it was so busy & packed with cars.

Second, across the top bar of the blind there is a space that allows direct flow of sunlight across your eyes as you sleep. They blinds are brilliantly in a track and don’t let any light in on the sides or bottom. But they failed to do something similar for the top.

I left and went to another hotel. It calls itself Hyatt house leading you to believe it will be a Hyatt but upon getting there we saw that it was anything but.

I stayed here for a couple of nights while in Raleigh and my parents joined me as well. The staff was great. The hotel was well located and clean. I was excited that they accommodate pet as well. It was a really great stay and I recommend this place, especially if you have to stay for more than just a few days as some of the rooms have kitchenettes, etc.

Upon arrival, my room had a strong mildew odor that appeared to be masked with heavy cleaning spray. This is not an acceptable condition for a guest room. Unfortunately, I had dinner reservations shortly after check-in and did not have time to request an immediate room change. The following morning at 7:00 AM, the fire alarm sounded continuously for at least 30 minutes. There was no communication to guests about whether there was an actual emergency, and it appeared staff did not know how to shut the system off. I attempted to contact the front desk during this time and received no answer. My rest was completely disrupted, which was especially concerning as I had a two-hour drive home and specifically booked this stay for comfort and relaxation. Additionally, after using valet service, my car outlet adapter and charger were missing. I reported this to management and was told I would receive a follow-up call, which never occurred. I was forced to replace these items at my own expense. Given the condition of the room, the mishandling of the alarm situation, the lack of responsiveness from staff, and the missing personal property, this stay fell far below reasonable hospitality standards. I am requesting a full refund for the night as well as reimbursement for the stolen items. I expect a prompt response and resolution.

Only cons were the room was very noisy with outside sounds, and the blinds didnt block as much light as I would hope. Small suggestion but a bottle of water or two in the room would be a big perk. I do also need an itemized receipt and was told at checkout they cant print it since I booked through hotels.com it would be emailed. I have not received that yet and will need one.

Perfect location if you like to explore new restaurants and bars. Seamless check in and out. The Valet service was incredibly convenient, nice and helpful. Free parking was a little too far considering how many things I had with me. Though this hotel is in a busy area; it’s still very peaceful and quiet. Will probably stay again.

My experience was great, I have no complaints! I always stay at Hyatt whenever I travel and it’s available in the area. I’m never disappointed. Hyatt Seaboard Station and Hyatt North Hills are my favorite two so far!

The room accommodated our needs. We went out to eat and brought food back and ended up wasting it because no one would come and fix the refrigerator in our room so the refrigerator was warm it was not cold at all.

However, the bathroom door felt like it was designed for a giant, as it was incredibly heavy, making it difficult for my mom and me to open and close it. During our four-night stay, we unfortunately didn't have anyone come to clean our room, which was disappointing, especially since we had to rely on the tissues that were thankfully provided. The kitchenette area was definitely a bonus, so we would certainly consider staying at this hotel again as long as family continues to live in the area. As for breakfast, it wasn't particularly impressive; I wasn't fond of the food choices and wished there were more options available. On a positive note, the front desk staff was very friendly. The parking situation was a bit of a surprise; I wish I had done more research beforehand. I didn't appreciate having to park so far away, but luckily we managed to find parking at Harris Teeter.

The rooms were large and comfortable. The bed was also nice and I was able to have a goods night sleep. I had room facing away from the road and it was very nice and quiet. The breakfast was lovely as well. Very hearty with fresh fruit. Thanks for the great stay!

My only issue would be that the breakfast needs to be longer maybe till 11 or at least 10 am instead of 9 am. I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The location was excellent, convenient and easy to get around. The staff were very pleasant and professional, always ready to help with a smile. The hotel itself was quiet, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. I truly appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and the overall cleanliness. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

First off the ladies that was at the front desk wasnt any help and seemed to have attitudes so they eventually sent maintenence to come fix the tv. Then i needed to use kleenex and they had a empty box in the box. Also the pool was closed early even though the weather was great i figured if you still had the outside patio opened then the pool could have stayed open to at least 10pm. Also the bed wasnt comfortable like at other locations of hyatt house that i went to.Dont think ill visit this location again and the parking sucked we drove over a hour looking for parking

The place seems ok, a little run down. Weed smells in the lobby (not sure what can be dine about that). But the room itself; the AC sounded like it was about to die, and our room had a piss/mold smell to it. We thought about adding a day to the trip until we got in there.

I have the biggest bite on my leg from a bug from sleeping on the bed and then a few other bug bites around my torso area. there was some random lady yelling up and down the hallways.

Everything about the hotel was great: clean, comfortable, and in a perfect location. Staff was friendly and the amenities were solid. The only downside was the parking…it was a bit difficult and not the most convenient. Still, I’d definitely stay again.

Some good some bad. Great location walking distance to a lot. Nice and clean. Suites were wonderful. Pool was great. Decent breakfast. Friendly staff. Big downside was how thin the walls are. Loud neighbors kept us awake partying most of the night. Also the blackout shades were missing approx 2” at the top and there was a street light directly outside the window. Had to stuff our own towels into that 2” space to black it out but at least it worked.

Two minor issues: The breakfast was subpar. The waffles looked like the instant sort and were pale, flavorless, and undercooked- as were the sausage links and French Toast. There weren't many breakfast choices, and the available options were high in carbs, poorly seasoned, and not cooked well. Breakfast is included with the stay though, so it's not a major issue. However, it's not anything to look forward to either. On the plus side, there's a breakfast cafe right beside the hotel. Also, the hotel coffee is always hot and delicious. There's also a grocery store within walking distance, so you could cook breakfast inside your suite if inclined. Our suite was street-facing and noisy. The walls and windows are not the best at sound proofing. Also, the "blackout" shades were horrible. Sunlight gets through them no matter how you fix them. Again, these are MINOR issues, but they would not stop me from staying here again. The location is convenient to everything, and everything is within walking distance. It's a great location and a great hotel.

Great location and good breakfast and pool area. The staff was very friendly. Parking was easy at Harris Teeter, and lots of dining and shops within walking distance. Wish they had more rooms with 2 real beds for a family of 4 (adults, 2 kids). The pull-out bed was unbearable. We typically don't mind them for a quick weekend for sports tournaments, but this was the worst one I have experienced.

Great stay

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It’s in a great area if you’re interested in shopping and dining options. There was a lot of variety! It’s also a very popular area and the hotel doesn’t have their own designated parking so that could be a challenge during busy times. The hotel does offer valet parking (but it’s pricey at $30/day). Overall, would recommend this property and would stay here again.

Property is modern, and rooms are good size. They are sectioned in a way that creates a good short term living experience. The staff was helpful and personable. Property is in a great location, with several good restaurants and a shopping mall, all within walking distance.

We were in town for our daughter’s aau tournament. Great location in North Hills…great restaurants, bar, shopping…all within minutes walking.. great breakfast included….will stay here again!

It was a very great experience. Everyone was friendly, the room was nice and clean, very spacious. I travelled for surgery and it was very accommodating and near a lot of things making shopping and necessities easy to find.

Located in a nice area. Close to businesses and a small park area. Expected a better bar/lounge area for such a nice hotel. Also, you could hear every conversation from people walking in hallway. Room was large with full mini kitchen.

The Hyatt House at North Hills offered a great day with excellent customer service. I was warmly welcome by Cameron at guest services with a pleasant smile and recreational suggestions in the area for a great weekend. The buffet breakfast was delicious and filling with ample seating space. Check in and check out was done with ease. I would highly recommend this hotel for your visit in the Raleigh area. It is centrally located to many restaurants and local activities.

Dislike: it takes several minutes for the hot water to kick on. Absolutely horrible! But other than the water, everything is Lovely.

We love this property. The rooms are spacious and the mini kitchen is a bonus. There is a comfortable seating area and a large bathroom.

The parking is hectic when everyone is out dining and shopping but its free and that is what is important to me. Front desk guy was really nice. Room was clean but started to show common wear and tear.
