The attendant at check-in was so lovely and the aesthetic of the desks when walking in were nice. I hate being separated from my pets, but had to travel due to work but now that I know about this place and how pet friendly they are I will be saving this place and be staying here stress-free. Also, I was not expecting the rooms to be so nice! I love the bathrooms as well They were just out of a hygiene product that I needed, and the freezer portion of the mini fridge fridges didn't work so well in my room.

The breakfast was nice it would have been great if there was a waffle maker instead of the pancake maker that did not make very great pancakes and somehow became unusable The refrigerator had no freezer which sucks because most people are buying frozen dinners to heat up in the microwave I would like if there was a freezer in the refrigerator and maybe a waffle maker for breakfast to make it more convenient for guest but overall breakfast was delicious room was great

Loved the breakfast! Love the coffee machine! The pool and hot tub was great too! The location is great for taking public transportation to NCSU. Breakfast attendant was great! Seemed like she really cared about providing a good meal service each day and it showed. The desk staff was friendly on our arrival and check-in. However, subsequent interactions were subpar, lacking basic hospitality skills. Our room keys stopped working and the desk attendant did not apologize while she fixed it. She almost seemed annoyed, like it was our fault the room key was not programmed for the correct length of our prepaid stay?? So strange. I walked away from the desk feeling like, "Where is the hospitality??" This was not the only key issue we had: we needed a second reprogramming because it did not work for the pool/gym area. Kinda annoying, but fine. I care more about how I'm treated by the staff than the fact that the key cards malfunctioned a little. My partner asked for a razor at the desk but the attendant did not have any. There was a sign in our bathroom saying to feel free to ask for any items we forgot. False promises. I don't mind if you don't want to provide razors, but just don't act like you're so happy to do so and like you care soooo much about the customer, when you actually can't deliver on it.

The staff at this location was so friendly and amazing. We had a hiccup with our airbnb and were able to snag a room last minute for the duration of our stay in Raleigh. So glad I chose this location. Rooms were so clean. Ours looked like it had been updated. Pool looked nice too! Will definitely be returning.

This was the first hotel I ever stayed at when I first started visiting him from Charlotte. Always preferred it, but their prices started going up quite a bit over the years, so I would look for other hotels on other visits. This past weekend my son graduated from vet school and needed to book another night in Raleigh. I had to switch hotels and was able to get the last night here again. Price was actually reasonable compared to other hotels in the area. They gave out gift bags at check in if you were staying with the for graduation. Such a nice surprise. Super comfortable beds and pillows… very nice clean room. Breakfast was good and coffee available 24/7, which is a nice plus for me. So happy I was able to get my last hotel room in Raleigh that I’ll probably ever need back at this Holiday Inn Express where it all started in 2018. Nothing..no complaints at all.

I like it the cleanliness, attentive staff and convenient, central location, high-quality bedding and full-equipped bathroom. Overall, my stay was pleasant. The only down was the breakfast, which was identical every day. While the food was okay, a rotating menu or a few weekly specials would make the dining experience much better.

This location is always clean with very helpful staff from the front desk to housekeeping. This was my third time at this location and will be back soon when in Raleigh visiting our son at NC State.

Clean, well appointed room. Plenty of lighting, comfortable bedding, and a little fridge with coffee maker. While I did not eat much from the breakfast, there were a lot of great options for all needs and it was all fresh looking.

The young African American guy at the front desk was great! Loved the pool and the breakfast. The gym could use some more space and updated equipment.. nothing really worked. Overall 9.5/10

Great room. Very comfortable. Mini fridge microwave space on 2 sides of 1 of 2 queen beds. Pool was warm enough for kids and some adults. Hot tub was very warm. Breakfast was very good. Pancake maker really did not work. Bit hard to find in dark. Behind another hotel with tiny “garage sale “ size sign.

Good location, away from some busy locations - we were staying to visit University of Florida. My room was not as clean as it should’ve been. The pool is dirty and the water was not clear. We were looking forward to using the pool, as we live up north and don’t get warm weather in April.

Every single morning I asked the front desk about it. Every single time I was told it would be turned on. It never was. By the final night, the manager actually tried to tell me it had been working but had “cooled off” and that we must have “missed it.” That’s simply not true. We checked repeatedly throughout each day. At no point was it operational. To make matters worse, the breakfast situation was equally disappointing. Food was placed into chafing dishes straight from the refrigerator, ice cold, and left to slowly warm up. Not only is that unappetizing, it raises serious concerns about basic food safety practices. We paid a premium for a specific amenity and were met with empty promises, poor management accountability, and questionable standards overall. There are better options within the same brand—save your money and your frustration.

Dee that was working the front desk was amazing. My son and I had been at a race at Wake County Speedway. This Mom was tired and ready for bed. She was helpful and had a great personality. Nothing. It was great from checking in to leaving. Thank you so much!

Location was nice and not around too much noise, it was also close to the event I was going to and to anywhere else. The staff was nice and attentive, and even the cleaning staff was warm and welcoming.

I liked that it was close to the convention center but wasn’t as expensive as staying on the same block. I also liked that they had sleeper sofas because there was 4 of us in the room and 1 was a violent sleeper and needed their own bed so only 2 of us had to share. The breakfast was good, better than a few other hotels I’ve stayed at for sure. The staff was nice and super helpful! The walls were thin so we could hear a dog barking and whining but that doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with the the hotel or the staff.

Booked a double queen room, and beds looked to be full or double. Never seen a queen bed as small. We thought we’d been placed in a double bed room by mistake, but the desk associate assertively informed us “we only have queen and king sized beds”. Impressively small… 🤔

Upon entering the room, I was immediately impressed that there were no curtains to contain dust mites, but rather a screen operated by a push-button. My goddaughter was thrilled to close them, as it was dark when we arrived. The room was immaculate! The beds were very comfortable when we finally retired for the night. There was absolutely no dust anywhere to be found! The solidifying amazement was the bathroom. It was spacious and sparklingclean. In fact, the bathtub had a brilliant glow that seemed to sing out 🎵 Ahhhhhh! 🎵 A full breakfast bar was on display, and we ate well! 😋 The young lady who kept the bar full was very sweet. She performed her duties quietly and diligently. It gave me great pleasure to thank her for her service. We thoroughly enjoyed the view outside while eating. A peaceful way to start the day. Finally, the associate who closed out our stay was quite helpful! I believe I would say the staff from beginning to end reflected on this establishment with grace. I have stayed at hotels around the world, and this was the most satisfying. Thank you, Holiday Inn Express, for being one of the best!

Fantastic remodel - stayed here a couple years ago. The room remodel was great, clean, love the colors - love the Dove soap products in bathroom and the great air freshener/spa like smell in the hallways - the pancake machine was great - no messy cups to deal with and they were delicious! Will stay again

I was billed twice on my credit card and its still against my account as of 8/10/25. I was billed an extra pet charge even thro they were told i would only have the pet 1 day. I also thought sliding my final bill under my door very early in the morning kind of tacky.

Our eyes watered just being in there the chemicals were so intense. Someone needs to take over the management of the pool facilities so that paying customers who are looking forward to using them can get their money’s worth. Before we book here again I’m going to call in advance to make sure they have the hot tub working and the pool cleaned properly.

According to the permit in the elevator, this hotel is 16 years old. Walking the floors though, you would never know it. The place looks like it’s brand new and is one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed in.

The new upgrades are so nice. This hotel is so close to NCState Campus. The staff is great. Their continental breakfast is excellent.

I really enjoyed my stay. The breakfast was okay but I wish they had meat options for people who don’t eat pork. Other than that, the rooms were nice and clean. I definitely will be returning.

The interior is brand new and very clean! New carpet. I really liked the new furniture and the linens were very clean and comfortable. I appreciated the Dove products and extra items that might have been forgotten were readily available. Very comfortable stay.

The staff were very nice. Apologetic because of current renovations going on. Room was nice and comfortable and clean, which is important to me!

I received a message from Expedia and the hotel that the construction would be completed by mid December. I stayed in February and the pool was still closed. There were construction workers in the hallways all day till 7 pm. They had no respect for the people staying there. The hallways all stunk of acetone, total waste of money.

The hotel is currently under construction. However, the staff were amazing and worked to minimize the disruption of services. I will stay at this location again for future trips to the area.

We enjoyed our stay. The only down side was there was construction going on on the property. Heard lots of banging, however it didn't last too long

Very clean and comfortable rooms. The front staff were friendly. The beds were super comfortable. When I checked in we were greeted with a lot of renovating and strong paint smells which they failed to mention prior to checking in. The pool was also closed.

Would have rated higher but remodeling was in progress breakfast was excellent I would definitely recommend

Close to family. Updated rooms are nice, but there arent any dining tables/chairs in the room anymore so finding a spot to eat (other than the bed) was frustrating.

Our go to hotel for short trips to Raleigh-Cary area. Nice hotel. Only problem this trip was several noisy guests in the hallway at 4 AM but a call to the front desk handled it. Thanks.

Staff was extremely nice and since there was some renovation going on they made sure we had a room that was away from the noise!

I went back to our room, where my entire family was now awake and had to search for the source of the noise.here they were renovating the ice machine room directly above us. I asked them to stop. They didn’t speak English. Back to the front desk I went. Again, the staff was completely unconcerned. Eventually they did stop drilling, but by that point we had it and were leaving the hotel. No apologies from the front desk staff.

Didn’t permanent was under construction before we booked. Heard construction noise at 0800

I was aware they’re in the process of refurbishing rooms but was told it would not run past 5 pm. Last night they finished up at 6:20. Also, the vent in the bathroom was full of dust. Nasty for a refurbished room. 🙄

The staff was very friendly. The room was perfect. The construction was no bother.

Easy check-in and check-out. Courteous and efficient staff. Newly renovated room was nice. Mattress was not great - both lumpy and firm in all the wrong ways.

It is perfect for my monthly Friday Inst. meetings.
