    The hotel was close to the venue that I was attending for an event All of the electrical outlets were loose, making them difficult to use. I was unable to use the blow dryer or iron because the plugs would not stay securely in the sockets. Additionally, the room phone was not functioning. I attempted to contact the front desk to request additional towels and report the issue with the outlets, but I was unable to do so because the phone did not work. When I went downstairs to speak with someone in person, there was no one at the front desk to assist me. This was around 7:30 pm. I waited until about 8 pm, and no one came to the front. When I returned from my event, there was a gentleman at the desk who was very polite and apologetic for the issues with the room; however, he said he couldn't give me a discount due to how I paid.

    The rooms (3 in total) were nasty!! Hair in the tub. The loveseats were dirty. There was a massive amount of dust in that room (I am allergic to dust). Something spilled beside the refrigerator in Room 309. I have pictures to validate my statement. I will never visit this hotel again. Side note: my husband and I own a cleaning business and this was unacceptable.

    The hotel is very out dated and could use renovations. It was very humid, so maybe some dehumidifiers. The staff was nice. The breakfast was a joke. Some frozen biscuits to place in the microwave and some muffins and bananas. I think most people stay here because it is affordable in comparison to other hotels in the area. You get what you pay for.

    Needed a room to sleep and got just that. Nothing fancy but appeared safe. Has the basic amenities. AC in the summer. Television with several cable option (appreciated this because most hotels don't have such options these days). Got in pretty late and the man at the front appeared irritated when speaking. I was just hoping for a friendlier staff but was not a big deal. Breakfast options are limited. Fast food eatery is walking distance. Didn't walk around the city. I saw a taco bell. I wish the hot water was hotter, but I was there in May, so it was not a big deal. The hotel can use modern updates but for the price I have no major complains. The room was decent.

    I can’t believe this run down hotel was Expedia. Cigarette stains and burns on refrigerator couch dresser and tub and shower curtain. Stains on bed spread and couch. I would advise against staying here or using Expedia since neither was a help and i ended up spending double my money and booking a room elsewhere. The staff and there help when i came down to change rooms was just as bad as the room quoting “that is our suite it is our best room” or “ i can’t help you we are sold out”. Just be careful because since i didn’t get the insurance to protect my stay Expedia was no help either. This truly almost messed up my whole plan off getting my elderly mother to my little brothers college graduation. I am never using neither Expedia nor that Quality inn Old town in Virginia again.

    The desk staff was not friendly. I and several other guests waiting to check in had to wait for a good while before anyone came to check us in.. The property was clean well kept. My keys didn't work I had to get them changed three times. The breakfast was good a decent selection. Ms Hattie was fantastic cordial, friendly, very engaging and professional. The venue was close to where we had to go so in that regard it was a plus. The parking was safe and convenient.

    horrible stay, horrible customer service. i booked for 2 nights only was able to stay 1 night , i was unable to get a partial refund at all. they just kept telling me “there’s nothing we can do we can’t find your booking” I know my review doesn’t do much but i promise i will never stay at this hotel again they will take your money DO NOT RECOMMEND

    Hopefully this hotel cleaned up its act. My friends booked upon my recommendation and both rooms were disgusting. First off the pool needed to be covered up because its unsightly and filthy....so NOT available. Anyway, stayed because friends were enroute although they checked out after 1 day and I left 1 day early of my 4 days forgoing my money. We all know how to clean and I've never seen a room for someone who's supposed to stay in it so filthy...gold and black smudging around the base of the toilet...likely urine is the only thing i could think of... no one cleaned it, french fries under the AC unit, a donut hole rolled out from under the chair when it was moved, and back to the bathroom... hairs on the bathroom floor and in the shower...although there was no dirt collected with my magic eraser...so that was comforting. However under the sink on the floor was so dusty like a mop was never passed under the sink..wow! The place though can be salvaged if you have the right folks to clean it up. Also the carpet needs to be steam cleaned...horrible...if they can't replace them.. do it yourself. Daimer Industries have commercial steam cleaners for the carpets..they can have maintenance personnel and a housekeeper work on 3 to 4 rooms a day. I offer my solutions not just complaints. Customers look at reviews, do your research and know you get what you pay for. I had someone else book and that won't EVER happen again!

We all know how to clean and I've never seen a room for someone who's supposed to stay in it so filthy...gold and black smudging around the base of the toilet...likely urine is the only thing i could think of... no one cleaned it, french fries under the AC unit, a donut hole rolled out from under the chair when it was moved, and back to the bathroom... hairs on the bathroom floor and in the shower...although there was no dirt collected with my magic eraser...so that was comforting. However under the sink on the floor was so dusty like a mop was never passed under the sink..wow! The place though can be salvaged if you have the right folks to clean it up. Also the carpet needs to be steam cleaned...horrible...if they can't replace them.. do it yourself. Daimer Industries have commercial steam cleaners for the carpets..they can have maintenance personnel and a housekeeper work on 3 to 4 rooms a day. I offer my solutions not just complaints. Customers look at reviews, do your research and know you get what you pay for. I had someone else book and that won't EVER happen again!

    Can’t began to mention how excellent the staff experience was. The Man at the front desk, who patiently assisted me through the steps and when a problem came along, he quickly was able to think of a working solution. The breakfast staff, Very friendly, welcoming, and super helpful. The breakfast buffet was a simple,straight, forward set up, that had a decent selection of snack bars, muffins, cereals, yogurt, and warm waffles all quick easy grab, and made for the go. This was a welcome change of pace, and once again to emphasize the staff was impressive.I never post anything unless it is beyond acceptable, This place was a 5 out of 5 then some. Thank you.

    The room was clean. When we first used the toilet when it refilled it made a terrible noise. I reported to the clerk and she said maintenance would fix it in the morning. It was fixed. The woman maintaining the breakfast bar was so sweet and kept it fully stocked and very clean. Our main complaint and reason for a score of Poor is the way the night clerk handled our noisy next door guests the second night. We put up with them till about 2:30, thinking they would settle down. I went and asked the clerk to ask them to talk more quietly. Half an hour later I went down and said they were still noisy. I went with him, he stood at the door for 5 seconds and said "I don't hear anything" and went back to the front desk. I said stay longer and listen. He offered to move us to another room. Now it was around 3:30, I said no thank you, we did not feel like moving rooms in the middle of the night. A short time later I knocked on their door and kindly reuqested they speak more quietly. By 4-4:15 they stopped. We had to get up at 6am for our all day outdoor event. We hardly got any sleep. When I requested a refund for the night I was told $50 off was the best they could do. When went to leave, the main entry doors wouldn't open due to a blown circuit breaker.

    We had a terrible experience at the comfort in at Portsmouth, Virginia. Our first night was fine, the second night someone stayed in the room next door and was on the phone from 9:00pm to 2:00am yelling and cursing. We finally called downstairs. Not sure if they spoke to him or not. Started again from 6:oo am to 8:00am when he finally left. We got no sleep and it was very disturbing to hear him.

To be fair, we had stayed at a Fairfield Inn and Hyatt House the previous two nights. This hotel didn't come close to those accommodations.     So the room that I reserved was a king size and I get there and have to settle for a double, so the beds are much smaller. Soon as we start to shower (moldy shower head) the water builds up over our ankles and I had to use a plunger to plung the water out the tub which was very disgusting with dead insects coming afloat while doing so. We will NEVER visit this property or any property of Choice. Thanks but no thanks!!!!!!!!!

    The pictures were deceiving. The hotel smelled like they were using cleaners to cover up like a mold smell. The elevator didn’t work when we first got there. Then went into the room and found stains on the curtains that looked like blood, stain on the bed. We were so disgusted we didn’t even stay. We literally just checked out and drove home. Not to mention the neighborhood and surrounding area was not the best and felt unsafe.

    It’s an average place to lodge. the breakfast is manageable. No noise but expect minimal roaches. The first day room has a strong smell that made me struggle to sleep.     The receptionist didn't even acknowledge me standing at the front desk directly in front of her for a good 3-5 minutes as she continued a call on her personal cell phone. She finally took the confirmation page I had printed out I had set on the counter and began to work on the computer while still talking on the phone and never even greeting me. She finally said something after over 5 minutes of clicking around that the system was not working and thanked me for my patience. After 5 more minutes, she finally asked for my card and ID, but then said she couldn't chew the card to hold for incidentals but that she'd let me get my room card and I could pay that the next time I came to the front desk. I finally got to my room and prepared for bed when she called the room around 10:30 telling me I had to come back to the desk to pay at that time, which required getting redressed to go to the desk. It was a huge inconvenience and her lack of customer service and basic acknowledgement of me throughout the issue was unacceptable.

    Property was close to our destination. Restaurant selection in the area is awesome. Front desk service was terrible. No one at the desk in the morning to check us out. We did see the front desk person getting herself breakfast from the buffet but never saw them again. Had to just leave key on the front desk. No receipt! Junk cars in parking area need to be removed.

    Overall, this hotel was OK. There was no hot water in the shower only lukewarm which should have been reported. I did report it for the next person who stays. The bed was comfortable. The furniture was dusty.

    Never greeted at desk, before I checked in I had to use the restroom extremely bad, been holding for several hours…..had to tell front desk I’m about to pee in myself as he previously mentioned we don’t have available restrooms on lobby floor but after I shared I was checking in and panting around desperately he opened a restroom….The rooms felt old, it carried a old sting which made me and my friend uncomfortable to sleep under covers so we slept on top of them. Only reason I booked was bc of convenience and price

    I chose this specifically because there was a buffet breakfast listed and it had a kitchenette. The buffet was non existent. There was only prepackaged muffins, nutrigrain bars, granola bars, packets of oatmeal, frozen eggs and sausage biscuits and one day out of three days they had bananas. They also had tiny bowls of raisin bran, Cheerios, special k and frosted flakes. The coffee and juice was decent. We were told that when a specific girl was there she always got out a toaster and had bread and bagels. The kitchenette had not a single dish, cup, silverware, cookware or even paper towels available. I will not be going back.

    There was only 1 washcloth and I told the desk and he said he’d have more delivered but never did. The laundry room door was open so I just went in and grabbed a couple more.

    The hotel was an old property that was showing its age. The elevator was clunky, the door lock on the first room did not work. The second room they moved us to the toilet handle was broken. Comfortable bed though. Met my basic need for location and availability.

    I purchased a room for my son for New Year's Eve. When he got to his room, he found the toilet seat on the bathroom floor. He reported it to the clerk. He was not offered a different room, nor did the clerk offer to fix it. This is unacceptable and does not reflect my previous experiences with Quality Inn.
