Reviews
The hotel is generally praised for its proximity to the Mayo Clinic, friendly staff, and cleanliness. However, many guests express dissatisfaction with the additional parking fees, outdated rooms, and lack of certain amenities such as USB ports and bottled water.

Very good and complete offering for breakfast. I think it is a strong overkill you charge for on site parking. Plenty of spaces to park. Business greed is terrible. Had no choice as the hotel next to Mayo works out the best. The almighty dollar prevails. Terrible!!

Spacious and very comfortable 1 bedrum suite impressed me with the size and everything that might need for family needs. The bed was the best ever I had during my 6 days trip. Quietness in the room, good choice of food for breakfast, staff hospitality and support - everything was perfect. Thank you very much for the experience of staying at your hotel. Everything was just perfect. I have nothing more to add.

Very clean, very helpful staff, very convenient location to Mayo Clinic and a full shopping center corridor just down the road. Only issue might be that the food service available is fairly basic and minimal and could be better -- but there are plenty of very good restaurants within easy driving distance.

Location, location, location. The hotel is literally only a 5 minute walk to the Phoenix Mayo Clinic. Although the whole facility is in dire need of a renovation the entire hotel is exceptionally clean! The biggest asset of this Residence Inn is the staff from every person you will come into contact with are exceedingly kind, professional, and helpful in any way that easily make them the most valued asset of the property. I cannot emphasize how impressed I was with the quality of the staff working at this Residence Inn and truly hope they are well compensated because they are the true jewels of the property. The breakfast accommodation is more like a ghost kitchen and the food quality is at best subpar. The breakfast offerings were dramatically below average and poor quality and poor selection. The hotel dining menu is somewhat inviting but once again is of poor quality with the same ghost kitchen effect which is disappointing because I would think that an establishment that shared the close proximity to the Phoenix Mayo Clinic would have at least a small functioning formal dining facility for its guests. Finally the lack of a legitimate convenience store in the lobby is the most glaring weakness on the property. The current store is woefully lacking in commonly stocked travel amenities that are commonplace at most hotel lobby convenience stores.

I was stunned from Oct 2025 to Mar 2026 the dirtiness n gross furnishings and the staff up from PAM was so rude. My dtr was not by recluse in that hotel (hospitalized from that )we saw them spraying when we arrived!! No disc for Mayo patients or seniors. That’s the closest to thousands of us that go for medical care. We talked to hotel mgr Josh he was helpful I HAVE YET TO SEE MY REFUND we were then moved to a diff room that was trashed dirty carpet plugs hanging out the screws the electrical panel was so loose. The porta crib filthy, torn and broken on the underside. ONE MINI bar of soap for a 5 night stay one small trash bag WE HAD to keep asking. The suites accomodate 5 ppl nope not enough bath tissue ONE roll two towels But I will say the free breakfast was great that staff was great pool area was clean YOUR charged for parking? We spent 2600$ plus another 500$ for mar 28 due to hosp stay for the spider bite we were treated rudely and put in a dump of a room BUT where else does one stay for med treatment Shame on the staff housekeeping is horrible sofa bed was dirty INSIDE I could go on I WANT A REFUND !

Very friendly staff ! Cucumber water / citrus water . Would be great if breakfast was served at 6 instead of 6:30 due to everyone needing to eat & go to appts . So many including us needed to skip so we could get to appts on time . The golf shuttle was amazing & so was the shuttle to the other Mayo Clinic . Advertise that so people like us don’t get rental cars . Overall a wonderful clean facility ! Beautiful 💛🌵☀️

This was an erroneous reservation. I called booking and they sent a request for correction. The hotel never responded to that request. I talked to the hotel manager who said they would correct it. They did not do that. I sent multiple emails to management and made a number of phone calls to follow up. They never responded to any of these. I strongly recommend finding a different Hotel.

The room was clean and spacious. As a single female traveler, I don’t like having a room adjoining to mine. I wasn’t expecting that. Also, felt overpriced for the level of hotel. But because my family member was hospitalized at Mayo, I suppose I was paying for the convenience of being close. If that were not a factor, I would not stay there again. Also, there was a sign that packing is $14 per night. I haven’t seen the final bill, but that seems expensive. The bottles of water in the room were each $6. At first I thought they were a nice complementary touch, lol.

I liked the location right next to Mayo Clinic. I liked the king suite as it was large and well designed. The property is beautiful. The hotel has a shuttle over to Mayo Clinic and that was helpful. Most of the front desk staff were wonderful. The front desk staff tried to tell me that my reservation ended a day early despite my showing them my booking reservation. I spent over an hour with them and with the customer service for booking.com and the manager didn't resolve it until 2 days later. They made rude comments about booking.com. I have used this service for over 15 years and have never had a problem until I got to this hotel. The heat stopped working in my room and the front desk staff insisted that it was working well. I spent a cold night in the room until maintenance showed up the next morning and confirmed that the heat was not working. They switched my room. This was 4 days after a neck fusion surgery and it took me hours to pack all of my belongings one item at a time. They never offered me any kind of a discount for this. I spent over $3,000 at this hotel and their lack of consideration is really concerning.

I’ve stayed here before and it was great, this second time was alright. The first room we got into the air conditioning didn’t work. It’s the beginning of July so it was 112 degrees. We waited almost two hours to get a new room. The pull out couch was not sleep able. It was too uncomfortable to sleep my mom had to share the bed with me. Other than that the hotel was nice.

I nice hotel for someone or a family being treated at the Phoenix Mayo Clinic. The front desk staff was average due to them yelling and and joking. They have very little training when compared to nicer hotels. Could definitely improve front desk customer service. There was construction going on during our stay which made getting around challenging. For the money of $325 which included taxes, I would say it was way overpriced. Only because it was the closest hotel to Mayo would I recommend staying there for this price. Average hotel, awesome location next to the hospital. Mayo’s staff volunteered to bring my wife to the hotel on one of their hot carts. The hotel staff never even considered asking or offering. Just a young, untrained staff. Marriott, you can do better.

It would’ve been nice if you had a full restaurant at the facility.

The staff in the front office was extremely nice and a pleasure to deal with. The front lobby is under construction for renovation and was not a problem at all for the guests

Meat choices at breakfast could be improved for better healthy choices. It's good that eggs are fresh and not powdered. Fresh yogurt very good. Suites very comfortable and convenient. It will be great when the new restaurant opens.

The staff were very accommodating. The hotel needs a lot of updating. Had to charge numerous rooms in order to get one that was less noisey. If you are a light sleeper, this is not the best pick for you.

Why a parking charge? You pay $14 a nite on top off the room charges?

A tired property. Being renovated, I guess, but slowly. That wasn’t mentioned in the description. Parking fee not mentioned either. Staff was very nice, though sometimes hard to locate. Short handed, in other words. If not for the convenience to Mayo, I would not have kept the reservation.

They should have recliners in the rooms for cancer patients to be comftorable otherwise they have to stay in bed. Consider jacuzzi on premises or jacuzzi tubs in rooms to help with there pain.

Very quiet place next to the hospital.

The hotel staff was super friendly and the facility was very nice. They are adding a restaurant / lounge which will be great because there are not many options for food within walking distance. Great place!

The hotel was in the process of being remodeled with the doors open so the lobby was a bit warm. This was my third stay at this hotel so that didn't bother me. Rooms are nice with a kitchenette that was convenient. The elevator is really, really slow. Overall we enjoy the stay and will stay again on our next trip.

We stayed here because my sister was in the Mayo Hospital. It was very close and easy to access. The rooms were great and very clean. We got transported back and forth to the hospital by the staff. That was greatly appreciated! I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Friendly staff. And reasonable prices

There was lots of construction in and outside the hotel so it was loud. The rooms had such a distinctive odor, and I know it's for Mayo patients and families but it would be nice to have body wash, lotion, the little things that most places have.

No downside to this property. If you’re at Mayo Clinic for an appointment, it’s worth the extra $50! Per night due to the convenience and the breakfast.

Microwave not clean. Pull out bed mattress not clean and warn out. Broken tiles near closet door. Air conditioning ducts and filter possibly need cleaning. Wine in market triple the price than in the grocery store.

My husband had a 7 hour surgery at Mayo so we decided to stay close to the hospital even though we live about an hour away. What great service and hospitality. I can’t recommend this hotel more. Rooms are very nice, but the staff is amazing! Highly recommend

The staff here knows that many people come for tough reasons...and they are all kind, helpful, supportive and efficient. I have never been somewhere where every single staff person went out of their way to help.

The hotel is fantastic. It’s clean. The staff is friendly. They offered to move us to a closer room to the office so we wouldn’t have to walk as far. It was just a real pleasure to stay there. The breakfast was outstanding. I have nothing to say bad. Actually, the only other thing I would add, I think the room should have an area where you could plug-in a charging cord. Other than that, it was perfect.
