Checked in the room was over 90 degrees upon walking inside. The ac didn’t work except for 10 minute intervals the room was not cold all night once. There was NO toilet paper an empty roll left on the holder. Used crusty lotion bottles that should be replaced every single stay. Bathroom was disgusting and they do not have any ice either. Worst hotel experience I’ve EVER had by far.

It was a nice presentation and I got interrupted for a new mattress 🙄otherwise it was nice.

Room was nice size and a good location near the metro I walked on the floor and my feet got filthy. My AC didn't work initially, but they did get it fixed. They were changing the locks so that took about an hour that I couldn't use my room. The pool was unusable - dirty and ducks swimming in it.

It was adequate for the money. Clean and safe. Do not expect a luxury hotel at this price and you will be fine. I have no complaints.

Room was dirty, no lights, mold in the fridge, bugs, toilet paper looked like it fell in water was dried out and put on roll, shower handle broken. Overall horrible experience for the price paid.

The bed frame was not secure and was made of metal that made a loud banging noise with any movement other than a simple roll over. WE called the desk and they said all their beds were the same.

It’s not a five star property obviously. It’s not even a 3 star. But it’s as convenient fur me as they come. I can pay $5 per day to park my vehicle there while on business trips. It’s a mile from the airport. Minimizing Ubers and aggravation. Rooms are clean and sufficient. Will continue to stay there every time I have a trip leaving Phoenix.

The room was super hot and took a few hours to cool off. Not well maintained and there were what looked like cigarette marks on the walls. The front desk personnel were very nice tho. Heard random drunk people screaming at 1am. Booked the room because it was close to the airport and The Spot parking. Would not recommend.

Reception area of the Hotel smelled so moldy when pointed out to the night manager copped an attitude. This hotel wants to charge you up front $40 for incidentals instead of holding the card in case.

It was horrible and not as advertised . No free breakfast or other amenities. Was dirty and disgusting. Horrible bed. Not handicap accessible even though it was supposed to be. AC didn't work correctly. Will be reporting this place for violations

The location is nice, was a short walk to the metro/transit, felt safe, lots of parking. I appreciate a “vintage vibe”, but this motel is just simply “vintage”. The luggage rack (broken) was from the 70’s I’m sure. The rooms are very spacious however. I had chose this hotel for the outdoor pool, since it is Phoenix after all, but was very disappointed as the pool was quite dirty, not heated, no hot tub and no pool towels. I managed to find one lounge chair that wasn’t broken or covered in bird poop. We didn’t try the breakfast.

There were ants in the bathroom, electrical outlets were not able to hold charging cords for phones/devices, one outlet was hanging out of the wall, lamp bulb was burned out or just not working, no hot water out of sink to wash my face (lukewarm only). I cancelled a future visit that was pre-booked.

They did nit have a key that worked. They could use the master to let me in but there was not a key so I code go in and out of the room as needed!! Crazy!!! The "man" from thy front desk told me I wasn't doing the card correctly and he needed to "teach me!" He was then also not able to open the door with the key either!!?? Very condescending. Disrespectful! The electrical outlets in the bathroom didn't work! Plugged my curling iron in at an outlet by the door.... But the plug kept falling out of the outlet! I asked to get my money back but was unable to get a person on the phone from. Hotels.com.it was all a disaster. The Howard Johnson was listed as a Wyndham hotel. Called them and they told me there was nothing they could do as these hotels all have independent owners... Don't trust Wyndham either.

The room wasn’t cleaned well. Sheets had stains. I comfort the top of the bed was grayish color instead of white. They definitely need better laundry service.

Room was dirty and disgusting, and there was a chunk of hair on the bathroom floor. lots of repairs needing to be made and we didn't have any water at all so we couldn't take showers. Water didn't get turned back on until sometime in the night.

Air conditioning unit was old and rattled all night so sleep was next to Impossible, floor creaked everywhere you walked, walls were chipped, bathroom door did not close and could not be locked, shower drain was rusty and shower was dirty, bedding had holes in it. You need to keep your shoes on until it's time to go to bed. The only positive thing about this property was ithe proximity to the Phoenix airport, however, I still would not recommend this property. Clearly this property is happy to take their customers money, but they do not care about the overall customer experience, otherwise they would do something to improve these rooms to at least an acceptable standard. If I could give this review a whopping zero I would!

Facility was dilapidated. My room looked nothing like the pictures. It was worn down. There was hair in the shower and the freezer part of the mini friwas disgusting and dirty. The gentleman who checked me in was okay customer services wise, but the older lady who checked me out was pretty rude.

I was not able to utilize the pool because the key card did not work when I attempted to open it multiple times. The walkways need to be cleaned and swept outside of the rooms. The entire room needs to be renovated from the broken shower to the cracks of insulation that show in all of the roof corners that actually allow for airflow to come into the room and decrease insulation.

Small ? cockroach and other bugs come out at night. Room stunk. Room heater makes a smokey smell. Bathroom was OK, but could be better. A say avoid this location, until it has a full remodel and cleaning. Have to admit I thought Howard Johnson and Windham were good hotels, but this one was disappointing we checked out earlier then we had planned on. And lucked out on catching an earlier flight home. I will be avoiding this location in the future.

I did not like anything about this place. It was one of the worst motels I’ve ever been in. The sheets had stains of what can only guess was. The floors was smudged with water and dirt as it didn’t smell like any type of cleaner. It smelt like there was a roach infestation, so I checked reviews to co firm this and I was right. If this is what you can afford by all means do what you have to do. I will never be back.

Didn't end up staying the night after checking in as the hotel room was gross!!! For the amount of money this room was, it was NOT worth it at all!!! Do not get a room here if you have any sense of cleanliness. They need to condem this hotel. Shouldn't even be called a hotel, it's a trash can with a mattress.

The door way wood was rotted so the top lock wouldn’t lock. If you applied enough pressure to the door the lock would not stop anything.

Property required a deposit, desk person asked for cash. I forgot to ask for the cash back in the morning. When I called the manager asked why I didnt ask for the depoait to be put on a credit card. I wasn't given that option and didn't appreciate being lectured when I dont work there and don't know their policies.

Never got room service for a 3 night stay. One shower towel had a bunch of brown stains on it so I left it on the floor and it was never replaced. Shower drain was covered in hair from previous guest. Key didn’t work 3 times. Had to go to lobby to have them fix it. First time they just gave me a different room. 2nd and 3rd times they reset the key. Guys at front had no customer service skills whatsoever. No apology or anything. Literally didn’t say more than “let me see your key.” The fan to the refrigerator would start and turn off every couple minutes and would make an extremely loud sound when turning off. I had to unplug it during the night which made all of our drinks warm by morning. I never leave reviews but this was an overall very poor experience and definitely won’t be staying at another Howard Johnson hotel again.

After having a flight delay which necessitated a 3 hour drive to catch my connection, I found myself in need of a hotel on my return trip. Arriving at midnight, I found a door that looked to have been kicked in multiple times (damaged/very badly patched latch), dirty bathroom with black grout, hair on the floor, a very cracked sink, dirty floor/spill by the nightstand, some sort of goo on the lampshade, blue stains on the sheet, various other drywall patches, the towel that was soft smelled like some horrible chemical so I went with the one that was like sandpaper instead. The bathroom door was water damaged and warped and caught on the tile. The drain in the shower was clogged. I mean, what else, I think there were other things and if it hadn't been midnight and traveling alone after an exhausting 20 hour work day, I would have turned right around and tried another hotel. It was the worst experience I have ever had. I was sure I was going to end up with bed bugs. It was the epitome of "flea bag motel". Definitely NOT like the photos and NOT worth $180. They had the nerve to charge a deposit! I feel like the customers are the ones who need to get a deposit for any medical expenses for whatever they may catch from the place!

This was #2 of 3 "worst hotels I've stayed at in my life." The pictures are completely misleading. The rooms and building were borderline dilapidated and should be torn down/condemned. There was arguing an yelling at all hours of the night (3:30 am - 4:30 am) with horns/alarms going off and police sirens nearby all night. The floor was "wavy" and the room was disgusting. The room was so gross that when I laid down to sleep I tried to minimize movement to avoid contact as best I could with my surroundings. I looked for something I could use as a weapon while I slept. I'm not kidding. When I was picked up by my Uber driver in the morning I told him how awful it was. He asked me if I had heard the prostitutes while I was sleeping. This was so bad that I will complain to Hotels.com. This should not be on their website.

This was #2 of 3 "worst hotels I've stayed at in my life." The pictures are completely misleading. The rooms and building were borderline dilapidated and should be torn down/condemned. There was arguing an yelling at all hours of the night (3:30 am - 4:30 am) with horns/alarms going off and police sirens nearby all night. The floor was "wavy" and the room was disgusting. The room was so gross that when I laid down to sleep I tried to minimize movement to avoid contact as best I could with my surroundings. I looked for something I could use as a weapon while I slept. I'm not kidding. When I was picked up by my Uber driver in the morning I told him how awful it was. He asked me if I had heard the prostitutes while I was sleeping. This was so bad that I will complain to Hotels.com. This should not be on their website.

I saw homeless people walking around the property. Bad part of town. The day I was there, they were in the middle of repaving the lot. No -parking. The front desk person was very accommodating and gave me a full refund. This is not a safe place to be or park your car...

So if you check in late, you have to do so while standing outside, alone, 5 feet from the street in a dangerous neighborhood. The walls are paper thin. You can hear entire conversations of your neighbors at regular speaking volume. The parking lot is busted. There is literally nothing redeeming about this dump. And for all this, tbh charge about $200 a night.

When we checked in they gave us keys for a room that hadn’t been cleaned yet. So they took us to a different room and that room was on the 2nd floor and in multiple spots on the floor it felt like we were going to fall through. The safety lock on the door didn’t work either. Will never stay here again

221-222-223 bathrooms were all dirty, could not tell if sheets in all 3 of our rooms were clean. broken soap dish and tubs would not drain. shower heads are clogged so only part of the jets worked (needless to say we ended up going to truck stop to shower) had keys programed to one of our rooms (223) re done 7 times. night audit said only boss can change batteries that's why they did not work. we traveled 9 hrs to attend the world baseball series and could not find another hotel within a 2.5 hrs radius of phoenix (only 1 night stay). we would of been better sleeping in our car in an alley than in this place. we had to use our traveling blankets to lay down on the beds (checked for bed bugs and found none. THAT WAS THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT THIS PLACE. Pool was advertised as open, and it had a chain around gate. i have tried multiple times to call property management to get a refund and oddly enough manger is never in. the outside trash container on the right side of property has a family of mice living inside. they gave me a good scare.

The bed was clean and fairly comfortable. The gentleman at check-in was nice enough. The rest of the room was disgusting. The cleaner smell was so strong when we walked in, with both instantly got headaches. The floor was sticky. We propped open the door and mopped with a wet towel to it wouldn’t smell so strong. The towel turned black! Baseboards look like they had never been cleaned. The shampoo/soap is clearly topped off instead of replaced since the labels were completely gone or peeling off. Most of the outlets didn’t work, including the the blow dryer was hooked up to in the bathroom. Channels on the TV wouldn’t change. Room in general disrepair. Walls are paper-thin and I’m pretty sure people were making drug deals outside all night. We could hear everything all around us as if there were no walls at all. Never staying here again.

Website said free Shuttle Service, no Service. Sheets on bed Were not changed and filthy. Lock on door did not work properly. Condition of property Unacceptable.

We didn’t even end up staying at this run down hooker hotel my wife and I along with my 4 year girl arrived at the location rite away I could tell it was gunna be something that would cause us not to want to stay the place had people hanging around looking like they where up to no good when we first opened the door the first thing I noticed is the light switch didn’t work I tried another light it had no bulb and was broken hanging down pictures where taken then we realized that the bed was not only sloppy made but there where 3 small food stains that where fresh not washed I guess and the pillow case had dirt marks on it the bathroom had hair in the tub and there was a piece of wood as a divider in the room that was not properly installed because it was coming off the wall and so we went to tell the guy at the office he gave me another room and this next room was even worse we walked up the the new room and the door was already opened it to had no light working from the switch when u first walk in the curtain had a big slice in them and the bed we lifted the sheets had a huge yello pee stain on them and there was a exposed electrical wire hanging out the wall to top it off and this next this made us all run from the room there was a huge bed bug that had jumped on to my hand as I was standing by the tv with my hand on the dresser I was able to tell right away it was infact a bed bug I’ve seen them before I took off and thanked the guy at the desk who was very nice and we left

Went to check in and had a gentleman behind me in line tell me to check room because his was dirty, went ahead and checked in, found my room had front window wide open, looked as though somebody had been staying in room. Light switch in room wouldn’t work, room was dirty and toilet was running when I did my room inspection. Went ahead and returned keys and asked for refund which I haven’t received, and I left hotel.

This place is the dirtiest nastiest place ive ever seen. Id sleep on the ground b4 using this place!! Took forever to check in, gave us wrong room number, curtains were shredded, head of bed was 6 inches lower than foot of bed, bathroom had hair all over and i paid for a non smoking room but the room i got was so smelly felt like i was living in an ashtray! DISGUSTING

Upon arriving the check in process was quick. The room appeared OK. The bathroom ceiling was full of dust bunnies and the sink faucet was not attached. The air conditioner did not function properly and when it ran for the brief time that it pushed out cold air it sounded like an air compressor. It would run for about 1 1/2 minutes and then shut off and blow out warm air. The towels were very stained and may or may not have still been dirty. You could see light come in underneath the entry door of the room. It smelled like the room had been smoked in for years. There were people banging on the doors to the rooms around us very late into the evening. It looked as if some of the guests were permanent and not just there for a short visit. Overall I was not impressed and would not recommend staying here.

Shades hanging by a thread, pull out couch looked disgusting, stragglers and strays across the street fighting and screaming lol I have to laugh to keep from crying. This is not a place you want to Spend 1 night, let alone a few days with your family. 10/10 DO NOT recommend. Don’t walk, RUN!!!!

Dirty and unsafe place, completely different from pictures advertised. Room was falling apart. AC missing keys with cables exposed. Electrical outlets falling apart. Bathroom was not clean and who knows for how long, stains and hairs everywhere. Lining stained and smelly. Unfriendly staff, unable to communicate with costumers. Paid $250 for a night a could not stay there for 5 minutes.

The place is a dump. Doesn't like anything like the photos on Hotels.com. was there for 2 days had to change rooms 3 times. 1st room, lights would not turn on & TV did not work. 2nd room, A/C did not work. 3rd room was OK. This place's solution to problems was to just move you around till they found a room where everything worked.

We arrived late on our first night and had dirty sheets in on the bed with dirt and blood. We did ask them to change our sheets and the cleaning staff was fantastic at getting nice, clean sheets. It worked in a pinch for a last minute hotel. Pictures do not look like the room so lower your standards a lot!

The pillow cases are stained and dirty the sheets are stained and dirty. The shower had hair in it still had two dirty looking towels, no hand towel, one wash rag for 2 people. Go to front desk and ask for wash rag and fresh towel and said no rags and the towels smell like new never been washed before. Paid over $200 for one night and can’t even get breakfast that website said it offered. Will never stay here again!!

The room was completely filthy with old Dr Pepper bottles on the floor and trash in the cans from a precious guest. The drain in the bathroom did not drain. There were significant stains all over both bed sheets. We also found a crack pipe in the room. Upon arrival, there was a gentleman yelling in the lobby on the phone and the receptionist looked scared. The receptionist did say he would issue a refund when management arrived in the morning but it was not guaranteed.

The shower was broken, and obviously had been for some time. The faucet was disconnected. The window to the parking lot didn’t lock and would barely close, very unsafe. The room smelt heavy of weed smoke. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.

This hotel is horrible and outdated. Nothing was clean here and the incompetence from the overnight desk agent was just shocking. I was charged 2x extra on my credit card and have yet to be refunded. Please don’t stay here or waste your time, the hotel was disrespectful and Disgusting.

I do not know, why the franchise Windham has those type of hotels. The Howard Johnson hotel in Phoenix is really ugly. It is very uncomfortable.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL.

I hate to say this, but I walked out the room it smelled and looked so bad I could not spend the night there. Those not look like the room in the photo.

Place was not clean, TV control was not working, towels were dirty, sink, tub, toilet all were dirty.

False advertisement, staff was nice but quiet and looked upset when I asked for a refund. The room was dirty there was only half a roll of toilet paper, the couch was visibly dirty and had cigarrete burns on it,.

Property dirty, hotel room had holes in the walls, beds with no sheets, one face towel, extra towels filthy. Not good at all.

It was semi ok. The Door had a gap under it you could see the outside. Dead bolt did not work. Hair dryer not working. You could hear people talking from different rooms late into the night. Room was clean. No cups in room. Just a old hotel.

This was one of the dirtiest and poor conditioned hotels I ever stayed in. The pictures provided DO NOT look anything like the room we were provided with. There were hairs all over the bathroom, the condition of the room itself was dilapidated. There was no shuttle to the airport as indicated in the description. Overall a terrible night here and will never use again.
