This is an absolutely beautiful piece of property meticulously maintained and beautifully landscaped. The Staff is Top notch. The lovely young woman at the front desk in the days. Is amazing and so helpful. We had a tire blow out on the highway, On a Sunday. We were able to extend our stay with no problem until the truck was finished. Very pleased.

Everything in the room was very accommodating. The breakfast was delicious. I had turkey sausage cheese omelet and biscuit and gravy. I drank hot tea. I didn't really care for the air condition being right smack dab in front of the door outside the room; but other than that everything was great.

Everything was great, except the pool was pretty dirty with leaves and what looked like bees.

I was surprised when I showed up to the hotel because I had reserved two queen beds, but what I received was a queen bed and a sofa which wasn’t that comfortable. Then I had to go downstairs get the bed and make up the bed myself.

The window curtains do a bad job of blocking out the light. We had 2 queen beds, so bed closest to the window has a difficult time not having to deal with light coming through.

Everything was great. Clean rooms, nice breakfast, nice facilities including gym and pool area. Staff was great.

The only complaint would be the walls are a little thin as there were some loud males next door to us, BUT it lasted only for a while and then it stopped. We always have White Noise for these situations. Everything else was very good. Quiet peaceful, staff was very good and professional. Will stay again if and when we hike in the area.

The hotel was clean and bright. The beds were comfortable (so were the pillows). I think it was the best breakfast buffet at a hotel of this rating I have had in a long time. The staff was super friendly. Overall a great experience !

Everything about this hotel was excellent. Breakfast was outstanding - fresh ground bean coffee machine, auto pancake maker, great scrambled eggs and fresh cinnamon rolls. Rooms are well laid out with sufficient drawers, hooks and cabinet storage areas. Very good desk and luggage spaces. Good lighting in room. Window blackout shades functionally worked well and easy to operate. Pillows labeled as soft or firm with different styles for personal preferences. Safe for valuables. A/C worked perfectly without blowing directly on you in bed and thermostat easy to operate. Manger was frequently present and circulated or checked with each guest to assure everything ok. TV large and new. Lobby and general areas spotless. Housekeeping came early to make up room, courteous and quick to respond to special request. Elevators operated quickly and efficiently. Didn't use pool but looked nice. There was nothing I didn't like about this place.

So, so good! I can't say enough about this hotel. It is clean, comfy beds, great breakfast, good fitness center, and the staff is so kind and friendly. I had a hiccup in my reservation due to my error, and she was very helpful in accomodating what we needed. Thank you! We will definitely be back!

Chef’s kiss experience! Booked through Expedia, the whole stay was a 5-star experience. Early check-in was accommodated on top of the Expedia booking. Front desk was professional and welcoming. The property seemed new or extremely well-kept. The room and amenities were perfect for our stay, clean spacious, generous with the electronics outlets. Breakfast had a variety of options. Extended check-out was also accommodated and check-out itself was an easy, no-contact experience when we were ready to just bounce. Cannot say enough great things about this. Would stay here again in a heartbeat on another trip to Phoenix. Lots of dining options, walking distance to the Harkins movie theater. 10 minute drive to Ben Avery.

The staff knocked on our door to ask what time we were leaving even though we had the do not disturb sign on the door. Their timing was quite unfortunate as my husband was in the shower and I was not dressed. Very frustrating to scramble to answer the door

I have come to expect certain accommodations when we travel. A clean comfortable room where I feel secure is a given. However, I was pleasantly surprised with my visit to this hotel. Not only did they meet our minimum standards, but they exceeded my expectations by providing us with friendly service. The hotel staff had a wine opener we could borrow. We woke up well rested and had a wonderful breakfast that had many selections and was constantly refreshed, Finally, I was pleasantly surprised when an employee contacted us to let us know we left a jacket behind and wanted to know if they could mail it to us or if we would be back in the area they would hold onto it for us. This kind of customer service is rare these days, but all the employees at this particular Holiday Inn Express in Happy Valley were exceptional.

We have stayed at this location many times & have always been satisfied. However, this stay was a bit disappointing. We checked in a bit before 3pm & was told that the room (king bed) I booked & paid for was not available. We were given a room with 2 queen beds, which is fine but I was confused because we checked in early enough to get the room I booked. The next morning we went down to have breakfast & it was extremely disappointing. They literally had ran out of many of the food/drink items, so there was not much to choose from. I understand there were many events happening in AZ, so it was going to be busy. However, a hotel should prepare for this by making sure guests get the room they booked, purchase enough products & have enough food prepared for their guests. On a happier note, the staff is always pleasant & friendly. The rooms are clean & comfortable.

In general, everything was wonderful. There is just one reason that we had an issue, and it may not affect most travelers, but for us it was important. When we checked in late at night, I requested a late check out for the following day because it was going to be very hot that day and we didn’t have plans until evening so we were hoping to utilize the pool and still be able to shower before checking out, and keep our luggage cool and items from melting. The front desk lady at check in told us that shouldn’t be a problem, and to call down in the morning to make the request. We called just after 8 AM and we were told they could not accommodate our request and we would still need to be out by 11. We were given a paper at check in that said due to our IHG hotels member status, one perk is late check outs! The person we spoke to was unbending. We also went down to talk to them in person and the same woman said absolutely no flexibility and that all the late check out requests had been filled, which I find a little hard to believe by 8 AM. I told Her that I initially requested it the night before and was told to call in the morning, which we did right away. We are understanding people, but in this instance, we were super frustrated by the lack of flexibility and customer service. We explained that we would need to leave all of our belongings in a very hot car throughout the day and find things to do to occupy our time all day in the heat. Not cool. Food was ok and place was clean!

We had a very nice stay at this property. Everything was very clean and neat, it is immediately adjacent to a very well-appointed shopping center and yet it was very quiet. I was impressed by the breakfast bar and the staff was courteous and helpful. Great stay!

This is the second time staying at this location. Service is amazing, and room is very clean and welcoming. The struggle I have is when I put my head on the pillows. Both visits I’ve battled with the pillow stale smell and have a hard time sleeping. I will bring my own pillow next time.
