Hampton Inn & Suites Phoenix North/Happy Valley

My stay was ok for just one night. Hard to sleep with the noise from the freeway and you can hear when people walk in the hallway and close doors. Some maintenance needs to be done in the rooms. The shower caulking was falling off, a bathroom tile was pushing up which could be a tripping hazard and one bed was very loud to sit on.

Other than that the property was well taken care of.

I had to print something and they helped me with that. Asked if it worked for me as you need to e-mail it to the printer. Plenty of parking space. Lots of shops and restaurants just 2 min. away. Can't say anything bad about this place. Not really a thing to complain about, but only one elevator worked.

We had two queen beds suite with small kitchen. The room was clean and great!! We loved our stay. I wish we stayed more than just one night. The only thing was that they probably lack employees due to its remote location. The receptionist wasn’t friendly. The breakfast was good. The food was fresh however again the lack of employees affected service. During breakfast the coffee was out and it took more than 15 min to get more. There was a worker cleaning tables and loading dishes but he had EarPods in both ears and not in tune with west the patrons needed.

We got exactly what we ordered, two queen beds and pullout couch. The pullout couch was actually really comfortable. Amenities worked well, drains worked and room was nice and clean and spacious. Breakfast had a variety of delicious food. Staff was very nice and always available when needed. Highly recommend this hotel.

Everything was wonderful. The first day the sausage and potatoes for breakfast were dry, but that was a small annoyance. The pool and pool side were very nice. All staff were polite and helpful. The room was Hampton fresh and comfy.

Our stay was nice. The hotel is clean. The front desk staff (Edward and Candice) were very nice and friendly. They made us feel welcome. My only complaint is the rudeness of the older lady whom works during breakfast (I was told her name is Becky). My daughter witnessed her yelling at a couple of children who spilled their milk. I had 2 small bags of trash and I went to throw them in the dining area trash can and the same lady (Becky) yanked the bags out of my hands and stated “I just changed the trash bag. I will take them.” I was offended because there was no need to yank the bags from my hands. She could have handled it in a different way. Possibly asking for the bags, which I would have handed to her. The was the last day we enjoyed breakfast. We never went down for breakfast for the rest of our stay.

Besides some major and possibly recent stains on the floor in our room, the room itself and bathroom were super clean. The staff was AMAZING & so very kind. The pool seemed like a salt water/chlorine combo so it wasn’t too overwhelming for my kids sensitive skin. Breakfast was hearty and delicious. We will definitely be back! We are happy taking the stairs as long as we weren’t carrying all our luggage, but they did have an elevator out the few days we were there, so busy times of the day you had to wait a very long time to get up or downstairs if the stairs weren’t an option for you.

I enjoyed my stay as the property was in a great location for me, it was clean and comfortable...Breakfast was excellent and everybody had a friendly smile and hello...one thing i would suggest...the in room refrigerators need to be defrosated a little better...mine had a thick coating of ice around the little freezer unit and this keeps the freezer from running efficiently...items in the fridge weren't getting as cold as they shoud have

The shampoo, conditioner, and lotion provided by the hotel were awful and stunk, and although the room was clean it was incredibly dark with very poor lighting. Tiny TV, and the most uncomfortable bed. When I mentioned the bed to the front desk, we were told that all the beds were new and that "most people like them". We came back to the hotel on our second evening to find signs on the elevators that they were out of order. We were on the fourth floor. Their solution? See if the elevator will work. Did not bother with their breakfast after we got cups of apple juice that were just slightly yellow water.

The freeway noise was really disruptive at night. Be sure to book a room that’s on the opposite side of the freeway. Also more than one USB charging port would be extremely helpful.

There were very light sheers which the sun just went directly through with nothing to keep out the Phoenix sun. We stayed at Hampton Inn & Suites while traveling from California for a wedding, and it was a great experience from start to finish. The service was excellent, and the customer service truly stood out—everyone was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Check-in and check-out were both quick and easy, which made things stress-free during a busy trip. The breakfast was good, with plenty of options, and everything was set up to be fast and convenient. Overall, we had a very comfortable stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

The noise from the Interstate was like trying to sleep at the Daytona 500. Drunk individual pounding on doors (including ours) at 3am.

The hotel is very nice, modern and clean to be sure. The breakfast room was adquate. The eggs were less than desireable, but common for a hotel breakfast room. The staff that I experienced (Barbara) was incredibly nice and friendly! I would stay again but I would ask for a more interior room to avoid some of the freeway noise. All in all, a decent stay.

The hotel was adequate for pir short 1 night stay. The location is right next to a Highway so a bit of road noise. Lots of shopping and restaurants close by. The pool and spa were not open during our visit.

The front desk staff were especially kind and helpful. This was my first time checking into a hotel by myself, and they took the time to walk me through the process and make sure I understood everything. At one point I even lost my room key, and the woman at the desk was very friendly and helped me get a replacement quickly without making me feel embarrassed. The room itself was immaculate, very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Breakfast was also amazing and had great options. The pool was a little cold, but since it’s Phoenix we didn’t mind too much. The elevator sounded a little creaky, but it worked perfectly fine. Overall, this was a great place to stay and I would definitely come back.

Location was great, really close to shopping center and food options, could walk and it would take 5 minutes! Nice area, didn't have to worry about car getting broken into, etc. Felt very safe. The room was so ridiculously expensive compared to what I've paid to stay at a Hampton Inn previously. The room wasn't that great and definitely needed to be deep cleaned - seemed like only surface things were cleaned. Annoying there was no microwave in the room. Breakfast options were pretty sad.

This was our first time staying here (as we usually opt for Drury down the way) but this was a pleasant surprise. The reason to book here was that it was much more affordable to stay here than other hotels in the area. Its location was ideal as we were very close to the shopping district (we could've walked if we wanted to) and yet only needed to take the streets to get to Reach 11 Soccer Complex for a tournament. The complimentary breakfast was delicious (cereal, oatmeal, omelets, potatoes, sausage, toast, muffins, waffles, yogurt, fruit, coffee and juice). Staff was nice and check in and out was smooth. To be honest, there was really nothing to complain about!

The room that we had was much larger than the standard hotel room. I was traveling with pets and this space provided a nice space for them to play. Because we had pets, the staff placed us next to the door which made it very convenient to move the pets outdoors. Breakfast was good as well.

The staff was incredibly kind! Especially front desk. Great customer service! Wish you could open a window to get fresh air. Sometimes gets stuffy in the room.

The desk clerk went over and above for us, we had to leave early in the morning and she made sure we had a bagged breakfast. It included bagel, fruits. She was awesome. I cannot remember her name, but I think it might be Barbara.

Room was clean and quiet. Bed was comfortable. I resent putting damage deposit. The pet fee was high also. Location is very busy, behind a large shopping center just off the highway. It was quiet inside however, they did take that into consideration when building to keep it peaceful inside..

The room smelled musty, the carpet was stained, very limited trash cans available in the room, the bathroom smelled of sewer, there was hair in corners of the bathroom, the fridge made noise throughout the night, the beds were squeaky, the pillows were not the most comfortable.

We were there for my son’s soccer tournament and the hotel served its purpose. Clean, service was good, breakfast was good, and the location was also clean and close to highway.

The only thing I would point out is that the breakfast area is quite small for the number of guests. Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend it.

We were greeted by very friendly, competent, knowledgeable staff. Great check-in, our room was comfortable, clean and ready when we arrived. The bathroom could use some updating but has been refreshed and looks good. Breakfast buffet was well stocked, kept clean, had plenty of options. The "always ready" coffee and tea in the lobby was so nice to grab as we were coming and going on all of our adventures. "Right next door" shopping and restaurant options are fantastic, there is just about any type of standard option you could want to find within a 10 minute drive. Mexican, sushi, italian, breakfast, seafood boil, American bar/bistro food, etc. Movie theater, WalMart, World Market, Ross ... really good proximity. Hot tub and pool were clean and I noticed a lift for accessibility. Definitely recommend this stay if you are going to be in Phoenix but want to avoid downtown.

Not happy with housekeeping. I like my room to have clean towels everyday. I had to ask several times in the week we stayed. When housekeeping came in, they did an excellent job.

I have stayed here several times. Great staff, great rooms, great prices and the breakfast is a good way to start your day!

The only problem was the location of the hotel, which you cannot do anything about. Very noisy due to close proximity to I-17.

The staff was very kind. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was a little different each morning, healthy options included.

We had an issue regarding our assigned room that was resolved successfully by Barbara at the front desk to our surprise satisfaction.

elevators are noisy and one of the motor windings is bad or weak and needs replacing

The bed was jiggly and feather pillows are useless. I was allergic to something in the bed as I woke up with a rash every morning

No tub and the shower was broken. The front desk came fast to try amd fix it. But kids and I are disappointed no tub.

The hotel was very clean and in an updated condition. The hot tub was nice and clean. The breakfast had a variety of food from hot waffles, eggs, sausage patties, cereal, oatmeal, and yogurt with fruit and/or granola.

Check-in was smooth and courteous. Room was clean. Good location.

Great rooms

The staff was friendly and helpful. We felt safe at the hotel. I requested an extra blanket and it was in the room when we arrived. Well definitely stay there again.

We stayed here with our dogs while some renovation was being completed on our home. Staff was super nice, great facilities and rooms were clean. If I am being nit-picky I wish there was brighter lighting in the rooms (we were on the first floor so we couldn’t really open our curtains). Otherwise seamless stay.

Friendly front desk staff, clean, modern hotel, nice pool and hot tub! BUT…. Close to highway, so lots of road noise! Also, housekeeping shouldn’t be banging on your door at 8 am when check out is at 11 am!

Room was clean, and roomy, staff were polite and helpful.

We were greeted by every staff person we passed, handyman, room attendants, breakfast preparers. Our room was sparkling clean, modern furnishings, extremely comfortable bed. Hotel is extremely close to wonderful shopping and restaurants. We would absolutely stay here again.

The room was clean, older building with a step in shower-tub and the toilets were way to low to the floor. otherwise, the room was comfortable.

This was a very nice room to enjoy to stay at I highly recommend if your gonna be traveling or to stay at prices was firm with me plus there was so many great options to eat and shop at very unique breakfast also was there also to highly recommend next time to stay there

The hotel was fine. The breakfast was the same at all which is at least consistent. The dog fees of $75 per night is outrageous! You don’t charge $75 for kids and some kids make way more messes than a dog! The huge pet fees that have consistently went up w Hilton are deal breakers for us! They charge you nearly half as much just for your dog to be on the room! They should have that as a deposit that is returned if the room is fine at checkout! Will be looking for other properties that don’t charge so much for pets.

We always stay at this location anytime we come to the area. The staff is always nice, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the breakfast is amazing.

Front desk was amazing. Candace was super nice and very welcoming. That’s what customer service should be about. Only complaint would be grumpy cook who came out and snapped at me about the waffle machine. I was trying to get some mixture to make waffle for my daughter pressured the button twice didn’t know it was empty and she scolded me with an ekevated voice it’s empty don’t you break my machine !! Not good customer service from her. Rude to be honest . But rooms were clean and well minted.

Clean room, very large so much space. Good breakfast, our toilet broke and I let the front desk know and it was repaired it less than 20 minutes from the call

Everything was ok but just ok. The toilets are to low plus no microwave.

Nice hotel.

We arrived late and had issues with checking in, something with their computers. Staff was super nice but couldn't make our keys and had to slide them under the door later. Water in the shower never warmed up. BUT staff was super nice.

I really enjoyed the hotel. My room was big and comfortable. My only problem was having problem with key at the pool. I had trouble opening the hotel door.

Great room. Very clean and large for four people. Walks are insulated well. Never heard anything. No freeway road noise either. Continental breakfast was great and ran until 10am. Price was very reasonable too.

When I walked into the lobby it did not feel super clean. It felt a little worn down and the floors were dirty. My room was OK - it was a King "study" and the TV was all the way across the room, basically not watchable, which is fine but for others to know. The carpet seemed old and worn and the air conditioning seemed humid. I was not impressed and will not go back. Front desk service was great, breakfast was also great.

Check in was easy and the room was clean, updated, and spacious. We had a late flight and decided to go straight to hotel and ordered Papa John’s pizza delivery. The breakfast buffet was wonderful with eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, homemade flavored batter waffles & toppings, assorted muffins and drinks. The check out person was so friendly and helpful with suggestions for our trip to Sedona. We liked the updated bathroom also. On the way out, we stopped at the Brass Armadillo antiques mall which is so clean and organized.

Farly quick check in. The front desk person was hard to understand. Other than that, everything else was great. I really liked the shower, it was laid out with a little shelf big enough to hold your own items, and a grab bar to steady oneself. Not a big fan of the motion activated A/C, but I understand trying to save energy. Nothing missing, broken or not working. Very clean. Thank you.

We stayed at many Hampton Inn's. This one was nice to look at but not as nice as others we have stayed at. Breakfast included, but not a lot of tasty choices. Eggs were Denver scramble and meat was sausage and other type of hot dog sausage. They did have hard boiled eggs. So protein was either spicy or not. Good for one night stay.

It was a great location. The room was really nice. The only small issues for us were our microwave didn't work, the hot water was only warm and the bed was too soft for us. Overall though we thought it was a great value for the room. And all the staff was friendly and helpful.

Front desk is hard to locate early hours and they also do not answer the main line during early hours 6am Say good morning to securoty guard no greeting back ask where front desk person is points as she goes behind a door cant believe this is part of Hilton

We got our room unpacked and found that the AC was not working. Maintenance came and told us they did not have the part to fix it. They moved us to another room. This time we did not unpack. We found that again the room did not cool off. Barb the manager on duty did come up and found us a room with working AC. We did try to ask for compensation due to the inconvenience, but, was told there was nothing they could do that only corporate could make those decision. There is another hotel in the area they we usually stay at that did compensate us for an issue. They did not have to call corporate which management at Hampton did not attempt to do.

Never disappointed when we stay here. My Parents are the reason we stay at Hampton Inn when coming out to visit family..The service is always above board.

We started out for a few days, but added one more. I had my two dogs and my son with me. The staff was awesome and super friendly. The whole place was clean, and the area was right by a strip mall, but you couldn't even tell. Would recommend this place and will keep it on my list of places to use again.

Close to shops

The property was fine, our particular room had a musty smell and remnants of a leaky tub that had been poorly replaced. Good breakfast. Overall good value.

Excellent Stay ... Comfortable..

It's a basic Hampton - clean room clean sheets great view of the desert hill. Easy online check in. Safe area. However it's extremely noisy with the freeway, the fan does not consistently stay on so it's impossible to drown out the noise, and the thermostat only goes to 65. I would not stay here again

I love to stay at Hampton hotels. They are always so nice and clean.

The agent who checked us in was super friendly and provided me with plenty of information which was very helpful. Our room was a pet friendly one and it was very clean and comfortable. I’d definitely recommend it.

We reserved for 3 days. Check-in was smooth and quick. Breakfast delicious! Young man refilling coffee and food was very well dressed, clean helpful… super attentive to o guests.. our kids live i bb phoenix so we will always stay here!! 10/10 plus very reasonably priced!!

Lack of good customer service. Called in the day of the reservation to let them know I’d be arriving early in the morning the next day. Did not dispute any charges. They said I’d be OK for us to have an early check in. When arrived, apparently my reservation was expired as they called it, without even asking for the name on the reservation. Also, employees(kids literally) walked in our room after half a knock on the door within the first 30 minutes of having checked in. Definitely won’t be staying here again and would not recommend it to anyone.
