Room was very clean. Although, the bed was not as comfortable at this hotel than other Hampton Inns.

The only negatives were extremely slow elevators that broke down often and rooms with temperatures preset to 74 with motion sensors. You could reduce the temperature but it reset to 74. The hotel is in walking distance (4-5 block radius) to numerous restaurants and to the Convention Center. Overall great stay. Would definitely stay here again.

The rooms are great only downside was only one elevator was working while we were there which isn’t in their control and I think they had people there the day we were leaving to try and fix them

There is no parking lot for this property, you can pay 30 dollars a night for self parking in the public garage, which I suggest, because the valet is 44.00 a night plus tip before you have to deal with these idiots! You should request your vehicle long before you need it or else you will be standing there looking at the valet while he scrambles to figure out where your keys are and as you stand there sweating in the heat for 10 to 15 minutes while they are getting your vehicle, you could have gotten your vehicle from the public parking garage across the street and tipped nobody

THE BREAKFAST WAS BETTER THAN EXPECTED! NICE PLACE, FORGOT TO TELL US TO USE OUR ROOM KEY FOR THE ELEVATOR. CAUSED A BIT OF CONFUSION AT FIRST. Service was great - the only complaint I have is the parking, it’s forced valet and I think you can actually park yourself around the corner in a garage for cheaper. I would look into avoiding the $45/day valet if I stay here in the future. Otherwise, the location is amazing!

Its very centrally located and right across from ASU downtown campus. The valet parking is expensive but is very easy to get your car when you need it. Its very convenient and easier than trying to find your own parking. We will definitely stay at this hotel again when in town visiting our daughter at ASU.

My experience at Hampton Inn & Suites Phoenix Downtown was wonderful. Melissa at the front desk was exceptionally kind, welcoming, and helpful. I arrived earlier than expected, and when I called and spoke with her, she was very pleasant and accommodating. The staff both inside and outside the hotel were excellent, including the valet team—even though I arrived via Uber. The hotel is beautiful, and although my stay is brief, I would absolutely choose to stay here again if I return.

For the price, this room was large, central, and clean. The breakfast buffet was super convenient. The man at the reception desk wasn’t too friendly but he was polite and efficient. The bed was not comfortable but the room was clean and spacious, and like I said, the price for being right in downtown was fair. Overall good value.

The property location is very central - walkable to many nearby bars and restaurants - blocks away from Phoenix Suns stadium. Hotel breakfast was amazing - everyday new menu item plus lots of variety to choose from. The only thing lacking - i wish it had a swimming pool - i realized that after the fact. Overall, great place to stay.

The King Suite was fantastic! Comfortable, clean, and roomy. Breakfast had highs and lows. Essentially having to use the valet service was unexpected, especially since the drivers couldn't drive a manual. But all of the staff were pleasant, especially the lovely woman who checked us out. Wish I got her name to mention her specifically.

My girlfriend and I got a room to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. Check in went fine. We dropped our stuff off in the room, then when we came back. Everything went bad. Our key card wouldn’t unlock our door. So we go back downstairs, they give us a new set of key cards and still don’t work. Then the night time manager, came upstairs and tried getting the door open. But the biggest issue besides the fact that we couldn’t get into our room with all our stuff, he was extremely rude. He treated the situation like “it is what it is” and just horrible tone the entire time he talked towards us. He made us wait an additional hour to an hour and a half until he got us into a room. Then when we asked for a discount on the room due to the inconvenience, because this completely ruined the rest of our plans, he was still rude. The hotel was fine, but that manager completely ruined the experience

- The hotel is well-maintained, with tasteful furnishings and decor. - The room/suite was spacious and comfortable, featuring a cozy bed, sofa, and a large desk. - Everything was very clean. Cons: - The suite has a mini kitchen with a sink, microwave, and fridge, but there were no plates, cutlery, or mugs provided. - Without these basic items, I couldn’t cook or prepare anything, which makes the kitchen somewhat impractical. - Breakfast options were limited and could be improved. Adding items like ham and cheese, tomatoes, or unsweetened Greek yogurt would offer healthier choices. - I was disappointed to see that for breakfast all kitchenware was disposable, which feels unnecessarily wasteful.

Well, to start the bed was very uncomfortable and the linen felt like paper. Don’t understand how such and expensive rooms most important asset was the worst, on the 10th FLOOR. Even though the view was great the TV needed to be replaced like the screen was going out. Finally, the valet parking was a reap off! It was almost $50 a night not for the entire stay and we had to wait almost 30 minutes before we left the hotel how is that sustainable. We will never stay at this location again.

When we first arrived the valet told us that valet parking was our only option. Do we circled and passed a few garages and street parking, and went back to double check and the other valet told us of two other garage options and how to park at them. Not much dining or any real options seemed open nearby and tons of homeless encampments any direction we tried to walk.

Beds were on the very firm side. Otherwise it was a great place to get some rest.

When we tried to check in, the woman helping us couldn't find our Expedia reservation and made us believe we didn't have a reservation at all. She was very rude, short, and non-cooperative. When a manager came over for a different issue, we flagged him down and he found our reservation right away and told us that she cannot search the same reservations because she is not a manager. It seems like she could have called the manager over to help us if she cannot see the same reservations as him. It also seems like an odd business practice.

Was a 10 minute walk to the venue, which is why I picked this location. There were so many transients in this area that I ended up driving to the venue.

Really nice stay

ONE RUDE RECEPTIONIST.. Everyone had been very pleasant, helpful and genuinely nice to us for our less than 2 day stay. We had driven in for the Charlie Kirk memorial (on Saturday) and attended the memorial (an all day event on Sunday) Monday am went down for breakfast at 8:55 and there was no food to be seen. It was gone before the 9:00 cut off. I politely asked the receptionist (Monica)) if we had missed it and she she said in a stern voice that it ends at 9 am on weekdays. There was a man that had just missed it also. The man, myself and husband spoke about how strangely rude she had been (she had gone into a back office by then) Then I noticed there were lunch type bags sitting on desk where, MONICA (receptionist) had been standing. She came back out and I asked her what the bags were, as they said “to go”. I’ve stayed in many hotels and they usually offer a bag with granola bar, apple and a water, etc.. She told me they are to go bags. I HAD TO ASK HER, if we could have one. She said yes, so I gave one to the other man and then two for husband and myself. I was happy to see there was a bagel, a fruit and a water. QUESTION; WHY WOULD THE RECEPTIONIST NOT TELL US ABOUT THE “TO GO” BAGS? Why the flippant attitude? Why would she just stand there and say, NOTHING? She can’t find it in her heart to say, sorry you missed breakfast, but here’s a little something to take with you? That attitude should not serve the public. Was it because we attended C.K. memorial??

The blinds did not work to let in light so the room was very dark

Great place

Clean room, friendly staff. Easy walking distance to Chase stadium. We were able to find parking on the street (with meters) instead of using hotel valet. About half the price.

Nothing in the store to buy. No bottles of lotion no hand soap didn’t clean my room every day

Room was very nice but didn't have a closet but over all it was a very pleasant place.

We approached the bar area at 9:22 and very rudely we were told they were closing with no explanation. We were meeting some friends to have some drinks and appetizers. Horrible service and communication

Hotel charged a smoking fee. Said their detectors went off during my stay. I do not smoke or vape and they refuse to refund the charge. Guess this is one way to make a profit.

There was nothing wrong about the property. There were 7 of us going to the Charlie Kirk memorial- all 6 of the people going with me canceled because of the new restrictions put up from the event's security. Because of that, I didn't want to goby myself. I had thought with a full contingent of friends, I wouldn't have to get the cancelation policy. I was wrong and am out $163. My bad. Leslie Dodge

Room was clean, beds were comfortable, Staff interaction was minimal and parking was terrible. You either pay for Valet of have fun driving around trying to find a metered spot or a parking structure a few blocks away.

Super experience with a staff that was very helpful and a super clean and comfortable room. Can’r review breakfast or the gym or the bar because we didn’t use those amenities but the basic functions for a short stay were PERFECT!!

The parking/valet situation is a bit stressful

Parking is not ideal and the toilet stopped flushing.

A lot of drug people everywhere just laying in the streets doing drugs!

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Parking is expensive.

My hotel room was fantastic. Large, modern, and clean (king studio). I was very comfortable. I enjoyed my time there relaxing after long days on my business trip.

I enjoyed my stay here i would've given it 5 stars but i didn't like that it didn't mention a deposit being required until i checked in.

It is pet friendly which i really like. The complimentary breakfast is good. The problem was the room is very small and you have to pay per day to park.

Was not happy about the non parking options.

The room was wonderful & the Staff was so kind. Easy to walk to a variety of restaurants, shopping, & Convention center.

Great customer service

My main complaint was the lack of maid service on the 2nd day, even though I had requested it. Someone left new towels but that was all. Not a big thing but I would have left a tip. Oh well!

I loved that it was safe as far as needing to use our room key to use the elevator. It was my first trip with my daughter and at first i was kinda scared of just us two traveling but staying in this hotel really removed that fear. Everyone working there was so friendly and welcoming. Thank you for this marvelous experience.

Bed was springy, not the best sleep.

Everyone was super friendly. But I got food poisoning from the breakfast potatoes. They also tasted horrific but when ur hungry you kinda just go for it.

I stay here at least twice a year, it's fantastic and central to downtown phoenix nightlife, shows, restaurants, and conventions. Always very clean, great showers and good views. It's an easy walk to museums, the convention center, and the lightrail. Breakfast has gotten a little less fantastic over the last year or so but the Valet service has improved a lot (it can still be a little slow around check out time in the morning but that's to be expected).

Breakfast was good and fresh coffee. The room was very comfortable and clean. Small getaway with husband for game @ chase field.

Great place to stay when attending a sporting event in Phoenix. Parking is an issue but thats everywhere in downtown PHX

Flew in to catch a Diamondbacks game, hotel was walkable to the stadium. Felt very safe in the area, nice and quiet. Great continental breakfast, the staff was very kind and helpful throughout our stay. Lots of dining options nearby.

Great stay! Monica on the front desk was very friendly and polite. Great breakfast with a lot of choice. The beds were super comfortable and it was an easy process for the valet parking.

Unloading and parking for check in is a bit cumbersome however the hotel are very understanding and aware. Parking is not far but the garage itself has its issues, however that is unrelated to the hotel since it is city parking. Besides that very minor issue it was a wonderful stay.

The complimentary breakfast was wonderful, and the staff was very warm and welcoming. Beautiful views on the higher floors too!

Bed are so lumpy and uncomfortable. Ac not very cool. I was still in work clothes at arrival and felt the guy checking us in was looking down on me based on my uniform. I'm a bartender so it was nothing crazy. T shirt and jeans.

Stayed for the proximity to Chase Field. Actually a 14 min walk not 7 min. Parking isn’t convenient. Options are a garage down the street or valet. Valet was totally worth it. Neighborhood might be a little sketchy at night to walk around alone. Some street noise can be heard from inside the room. Great breakfast. Nice clean room. Comfy bed. Overall good experience and I would stay again.

The included breakfast was very good. Location was good for downtown and convention centre. Plenty of places to eat in the area. The biggest issue was the outrageous parking charges.
