Reviews
The hotel received mixed reviews with guests appreciating the friendly and helpful staff, comfortable beds, and clean rooms. However, the most frequent complaint was about the pool being closed for maintenance, which was not communicated to guests prior to their arrival. Additionally, some guests found the hotel to be outdated and in need of renovation, particularly in the bathrooms.

Terrible. Construction workers outside patio doors the entire 4 days working on the pool and hot tub that we paid for and paid extra so that we could have that patio they were about 4 feet from all week. Wifi costs money daily - ridiculous. 100°+ weather in AZ and air was off upon arrival - ridiculous. No smart tv - ridiculous. No microwave in room (only one small one in the lobby for the entire property). If I had more room I would go into much more detail however there isnt enough room here. I will never trust the Doubletree name again without combing through all details with a fine-tooth comb prior to booking. Don't stay here.

Had a very nice stay with family for a short trip. Clean hotel and rooms, staff was attentive.
- 5/5
The room was clean and comfortable. We didn't notice any noise from traffic even though we were on the first floor. I forgot to pack shampoo, but Crabtree and Evelyn toiletries were supplied. We did not have enough supplies (towels, etc.) for the three of us that were staying in the room. I am not one to complain so I didn't but maybe a little more attention to the number of people staying in the room would be nice.

Unfortunately we had trouble with our tv working even after they sent a technician to help us. Also having the pool be out of order was a big disappointment.

The pillows smelled, and the room and carpets were very dirty. When the air conditioning was off, it felt as though there was absolutely no oxygen in the room; yet when you turned it on, the noise made it impossible to sleep. The only redeeming feature of the facility was the breakfast, which was passable, and the staff were attentive.

Not what I would have expected from a Hilton branded property. Our room was a bit dated and seemed run down, think popcorn ceilings, bad drywall patch jobs, etc. There was only one functioning ice machine which as you can imagine could be an issue when it’s 100 degrees outside. The staff was great but Hilton needs to invest more in updating this hotel.

We always stay at the Hilton and I can’t believe this property can even claim the name. Pool and jacuzzi were drained (3/30/26), the bed was springy and the most uncomfortable hotel bed I have ever experienced. The shower head couldn’t be adjusted and shot water out the door the entire shower. The walls were in need of a good cleaning. Now to the worst part..the air conditioner I don’t think had a filter and within hours we both were stuffy and coughing. It sounded like a semi truck when it throws the air breaks on. Each time it reached the desired temperature we had set it did a hard loud metal stop that brought me out of sleep each time. I considered actually sleeping in the car because it was this bad and I had an important event I had to be present for in the morning. We would have complained if we had more time but we got in around midnight so unfortunately we were stuck. Stay far away. This was the worst hotel experience we have ever experienced and to top it off we were itchy the whole time.

Spent 6 nights here unfortunately

Housekeeping didn’t give new towels the second day and didn’t come by at all the third day.

Nothing First off the room, smell like cigarettes and dog urine. The AC felt like it didn’t work. There was mold in the bathrooms. There was other guests in the stairwell smoking out of a pipe which I could only imagine was crack. There was prostitutes in and out of the lobby, I asked for a refund and an early checkout, and they refused to refund any money back and said I can check out if I wanted, but they were not going to give me any sort of refund.
- 4/5
The breakfast buffet was below average, next time we go outside to eat better for that price
- 1/5
The pool is closed that was disclosed in the add . I would have booked an another hotel for cheaper if I had known. We went there to relax for a long weekend before a medical appointment. But there is no pool to relax by , it should have been disclosed up front. I think I should receive receive some kind of a refund for not having amenities
- 5/5
The building is dated and smells old. Parking was ok but there were random people walking around the parking lot. Room itself was clean. Did not use gym or breakfast areas. Close to wide selection of restaurants and Walmart. Probably not stay again unless building is renovated. Overall 6/10.

I missed to get the older gentleman name at check in who made it a smooth process with awesome customer service. They greet you with a delicious cookie. Clean room, easy access to restaurants and freeway.

Disappointed that pool was not open. Otherwise all was outstanding.

After trying to check into another hotel that was not accommodating, I booked the reservation here. We were greeted warmly with the staff not only finding the reservation, but acknowledging that I was a Hilton Honor's member (something I didn't mention). We had arrived early and there were no rooms available, but the person at the front desk told me I could wait in the lobby and promised to come get me the moment a room was available. About 30 minutes later, she came to find me and got me checked in....she even gave me warm cookies. The room was spacious, comfortable, and the beds were divine! Crisp sheets and comfy bed what more can someone ask for after a long day of travel. I found out the hard way that there are some very sketchy areas of Phoenix - in fact the other hotel we tried to check into had homeless right on the steps of the hotel. This was not the case at this Doubletree. I felt 100% safe to stay alone in the room while my son had meetings. The bathrooms were spotless and had everything necessary from blow dryer to shampoo/conditioner/bodywash. Lots of free parking and the front desk told me exactly where to park that would make it easier to get in and out of the hotel based on our room location. That's the photo I attached to this review. The pool was to have opened, but it is still closed for remodeling. I'm sure it will be lovely when done, but I was looking forward to a dip in the pool after a long day of travel. Breakfast is available in the restaurant but is a starting charge of $18 per person. It wasn't a big issue because there are a lot of places to eat right across from the property.

The pool and spa were unavailable. Everything is old and outdated. From the hallways to inside the rooms, everything.Needs fresh paint. New carpet. New fixtures. Popcorn ceilings come on. Unfortunately, the area itself has only gone downhill. The complete overhaul, they're doing on metro center, is a couple years away from completion. Probably four years minimum. That will help. Born and raised in this part of the city. Very familiar.

The entire property was very tired looking. Our bathroom sink did not drain, large tear in my husband’s bath towel, other side of the back of the bathroom door was filthy. I have pictures if interested. Long black hair on the bathroom floor.

Staff was courteous and check in was a breeze. The pool and hot tub has been under construction for over a year. The location is great but the inside is in dire need of a makeover. I believe the carpet is still the same from when it was the Four Points over 20 years ago. Key card reader didn't work well. But the water pressure and shower were excellent.

Would not stay there again. Front desk person upon check in not very helpful and rude. Trina the other front desk person much better.

I’ve enjoyed other double trees. I didn’t mind paying $200 for this one, assuming it was going to be lince. The double tree in Phoenix was so filthy that I wouldn’t let my kids take their shoes off in the room. The walls in the restroom had holes and were cracked. It was obvious the shower had not been cleaned. The bathroom door didn’t shut. Everything was old and chipped. The room smelled of mildew. It was like paying $200 to stay at a cheap roadside motel. I will never stay there again and I’ll spread this story long and far. I’m currently at the double tree in Tucson which cost less and is lovely and clean. But, in general, I’ll be staying at the Hampton Inn or elsewhere going forward if I don’t know for a fact that the double tree in that city isn’t a dump.

The pool is still closed: it was closed when we stayed here in August and, before that, in July. A hotel in Arizona needs a working pool! The breakfast isn’t free but there used to be a coffee station beside reception. It no longer exists. Why would they cut this cost? The warm cookies are a lovely touch and much appreciated. The lobby is nice. We are fond of this place and hope they get their act together.

The breakfast was healthy but the staff were awful and the food was always either super low or out and would have to tell someone before they maybe refilled it. The property was dirty outside and just as dirty inside. Our room wasn’t vacuumed had crumbs everywhere and The bathroom floor was disgusting as well. The only clean thing were the sheets. The counters dirty. We got in at 1am annd were too tired with 2 toddlers to wait for a different room. Oh and the AC didn’t work for anything.

I stay at this hotel every year to visit my daughter and her family and unfortunately the surrounding area is not as nice as it use to be. The hotel itself is clean and nice never have any issues aside from the sounds the elevator makes. The actual hotel is great just the surrounding area has too many homeless - to have cops at a convenience store across the street is unsettling.

outdated

My stay was good overall — the room was comfortable, clean, and had everything I needed. The only minor issue was that the outlets were loose, so it was a bit tricky to keep things plugged in. It wasn’t a big deal, just slightly inconvenient at times. Other than that, everything was manageable and I had a pleasant stay.

Staff was very helpful and understanding
- 4/5
To expect that for the price of a hotel room, especially in these trying financial times. Sadly tho breakfast was not free, and they wanted $18.99 for the breakfast buffet per person, or they had a menu. One breakfast burrito cost $15!!! Outrageous. In the future I’ll be looking for a hotel that gives me free breakfast.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff and clean hotel l. I would stay again
- 3/5
Bathroom walls and floors dingy. This seems like a bad area of town. Hotel needs to be updated. Bathroom was tiny. They do have 24hr security in the parking lot.
- 4/5
Nice we will be staying again . Hopefully the pool will be in
- 5/5
Great

Nice place close to freeway
- 5/5
Very nice room.
- 5/5
Very good hotel I will be coming back for sure next vacation

I stayed in a pet friendly room on the first floor there's a $50 pet deposit. The rooms are average you can see some wear and tear and the carpet looks kind of dirty. There was a giant cockroach that fell on my pillow it was disgusting. No free coffee in the lobby.

Great experience
- 5/5
Property is surrounded by dining establishments in walking distance. Not very noisy and area is pretty clean. Hotel itself was great, no complaints.
- 5/5
Good location for us.
- 5/5
Nice and clean

Great stay near GCU to drop our son off at college. The neighborhood around this hotel is a little rough, if that bothers you, but the hotel is great. Really comfortable, clean, beautiful lobby, delicious breakfast (not complimentary). There’s lots of convenient shopping and restaurants nearby too. Staff was great!
- 5/5
This facility is very nice. I’ve stayed in different hotels at Phoenix and so far this has been the best. FYI the Pool has been under construction for the last few years. Other than that I like everything about it.
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
Older facility. Suspicious people and activities surrounding the property. Appeared to be short staffed, but the staff did the best given their circumstances.
- 5/5
The staff was awesome! The fan in the bathroom sounded like a lawnmower- I forgot to mention it at checkout, but was concerned that if we used it, it would wake the room next to us.
- 2/5
There was no pool it was under construction and I was not notified of this. Our toliet got clogged twice. The ice machine closest to us was out of service.
- 2/5
Rooms smell of animal urine. The second room we were given smells like wet dog and multiple stains on the carpet and chair.
- 5/5
Homeless wandering around the parking lot.
- 3/5
The pictures are misleading; its older and needs attention.
- 5/5
I/We love the staff and cookies. It was an awesome stay and we really enjoyed our time. Thank you

Pool was closed ,room was a little outdated and slightly dirty with stained carpets .
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable room. Family friendly. Around lots of options for dining and entertainment. Will stay again
- 5/5
Beds were extremely firm
- 5/5
Great but sad that there was no advisory on Expedia about the pool being remodeled.
- 5/5
Love the whole thing had good sleep
- 1/5
We did not stay and I want a refund. The only reason we picked this location was it was close to home and it had a pool. However after calling the hotel for an early check in and letting the assistant know that we were coming to swim, he did NOT tell me over the phone that the pool was broke.
- 5/5
Great stay! No complaints!
- 2/5
Didn’t sleep well as the room would not cool down. Checking in and set ac for 67 degrees and didn’t cool left to a concert came back and it was still warm no matter what it said we needed a fan they hotel was sold out and I disnf sleep welll. They didn’t offer no discount for the inconvenience either
- 5/5
I stay here every time I travel. Friendly staff
- 5/5
Great stay
- 1/5
Very disappointed that the website shows several different pictures of your pool… only to find out your pool has been inoperable for over a year…it’s literally a pile of dirt. Our plans were to lay by the pool on our stay in Arizona 100 degree temperature…very disappointed
- 5/5
Easy check in easy check out, clean, staff was amazing !
- 5/5
Stayed here for the Morgan Wallen concert. It was a great place and a short drive to State Farm Stadium.
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly. The location is great because there are many restaurants within walking distance. The hotel was a little older, the elevators were hot ( but it was the summer). But overall it was a good experience.
- 5/5
We had a teething baby with us and were allowed to check in a couple hours early. This was an amazing help after our long travel. The room was clean and they even supplied us with a roll away bed. They called prior to entering the room due to me traveling with my service animal. I can't thank you all enough for your great service and smiling faces. Unfortunately I have memory issues and didn't remember the staffs name. But everyone I delt with was top notice polite
- 3/5
Cockroach in the bathroom… charges you for water but gives out free cookies.
- 5/5
Everything was fine but the check in. The lady in front was very rude and not helpful at all just expected us to know everything when we checked in. But everything else was perfect.
- 2/5
We chose this place last time we were in arizona the kids loved the pool but as soon as we got there they told us pool.was closed we were very disappointed i wish they would of put it on there web site because i wouldn't have got the room it was about 115 degress out there

After staying the night at a local Motel 6, this place seemed like one of the hotels I normally stay at when visiting Southeast Asia. The room was roomy, clean, and quiet. Definitely a 4-star experience. It was nice to get out of that 117-degree heat and dust!
- 2/5
I am not one to only report negatively, however, my experience was not pleasant in any regard. The hotel refused to honor my reservation to extend my stay and cited the fact that I did not have a physical credit card, although the management had verified through email ahead of time that my digital wallet would be sufficient. The staff also told me that they would not honor my reservation nor grant a refund due to the fact that i had voiced concerns about them not having a wheelchair available for guests to use. I was having medical issues that make it difficult to walk and had asked the night staff if one was available. When i tried to check in for my new reservation, I was told that the general manager had sent a memo not to honor my extension. At that time I asked to speak to the GM and was told they were out until next week. I was also told that no refund would be honored nor granted.

The beds were very hard and uncomfortable
- 5/5
Nice place
- 5/5
The ladies at the front were so nice and check in was easy and headache free. Felt safe as they had security walking the floors. My room was quiet and clean. Just an all around great hotel at a great rate! Thank you so much.
- 4/5
Kind of older, but nice
- 5/5
A very nice place to rest and relax. I will spoil myself again here. Nice place to stay
- 4/5
It was fine … could definitely use some updating… but everyone was friendly and the bed comfy!

Terrible
- 5/5
Everything was amazing the only thing is there was a lack of airflow in my room which made it a little hot. Other that that the staff and building was great
- 4/5
Good stay
- 1/5
The entire environment around the hotel was so terrible, homeless and sketchy people around in and out of hotel. We were about to leave as well early. Never again !!
- 2/5
Pool was closed under construction, did not see that when making reservations
- 5/5
All fine
- 5/5
The property was easy to find the location was great. 30 mins away from the State Farm Stadium. There’s fast food joints near by and a QT gas station. The room was really nice. The stand in shower was great and the mini fridge kept our drinks cool. The only downfall was the pool not being open. And also one great thing the on site security. I would stay here again.
- 3/5
The pocket door got stuck in between the walls.
- 5/5
Checked us in early for a small fee. We had a dr surgery appointment & wanted to check in before instead of after. They were very accomodating
- 3/5
Hotel had an odd damp smell and although coffee was provided we had to pay $5 for a bottle of water.
- 3/5
Our Roman was spacious and clean, but we were disappointed that the pool was down. The shower was nice, but there was no towel holder near the sink which made drying a hand towel difficult. The tv in the room was not facing the bed, which made watching difficult. Would have been better to have a Keurig coffee maker in the room. Disappointed that there was not a free breakfast, not even coffee in the lobby.
- 4/5
One of the best in the area
- 1/5
The rooms were so outdated, the carpet was old and filthy. This is not related to house keeping. It’s the overall up keep of the property. I was shocked Hilton has their name on it. Do not stay here.
- 5/5
Very clean, pleasant and overall a nice stay.
- 1/5
Their pool is not in service - it is on the hotels.com website however it’s something you have to search for. We took our kids to the hotel to specifically swim. The staff was rude, and not helpful. There is no early check in, and the room smelled disgusting. I could not cancel the room due to it being out of the cancellation window.
- 2/5
Dirty
- 3/5
Staff nice. It was upsetting that the pool was closed.
- 1/5
The hotel bathroom was not properly cleaned. I also was not informed the pool was down due to reconstruction. It was very disappointing to not be informed prior to booking.
- 3/5
I’ll just say it was a lot of moving parts
- 3/5
To expensive for what it’s, this is more like a $45 hotel, too old for what it’s
- 3/5
When you turn the light on where the shower and toilet is the fan is really loud.
- 3/5
The staff here are amazing! The only issue we had was the AC unit leaked on the floor and wall in our room and we had to change rooms which was a hassle and away from our group. We were told we were in a better room but it appeared exactly the same. The building itself needs work but the staff were all very kind and helpful and did there best to make our stay better.
- 5/5
Awesome stay!
- 3/5
The hotel needs some upgrades. Service at the front desk was relatively quick and easy. Cookies weren’t offered…isn’t that what Doubletree does? Carpets seemed old and dirty. Room configuration was strange. Neighborhood was also questionable.
- 5/5
Everything was great!
- 3/5
Was expecting a higher level condition of the hotel from what I saw in the pictures compared to the actual hotel.
- 3/5
Hotel in bad area. It smelled bad and it’s very rundown.Needs TLC.

Pool was down for reconstruction also no vending machines or ice in the second level very inconvenient
- 3/5
Plenty of things that need a bit of work in the rooms.
- 3/5
Low water pressure in shower.
- 1/5
No pool no free breakfast for the amount of money we spent it was crazy they even charge 3.00 a water was not clean and felt unsafe
- 4/5
too many homeless people in the surrounding area.
- 2/5
One of 2 elevators was out of order and the other one was old and felt a bit scary. Room was a bit smelly and old. It was Ok since we just stay one night, late checking in and early checking out. I would not like to stay longer.

The pool wasn’t out of service , one of the elevators was out of order and the room smelled like cigarettes. Will never go back.
- 4/5
I enjoyed my stay the only thing I did not like was the shower the water comes out through small holes and wets your floors
- 5/5
Low water pressure in the shower. Otherwise fabulous! Seth is the best!
