Super 8 by Wyndham Pensacola NAS Area

Area is not too far from beaches. Surrounding many different shopping centers. The beds are too hard I barely slept.

Roaches in our room, 114. He came in to spray it that night, no resolve. Next day we got to move to 115, no roaches. For the cost it should have been better.

Always love playing musical room at 4 am! Not to mention that they also had a welcoming committee!! Which meant shoring luggage in garbage bags, not to bring any friends back with me. Who needs cameras, they will watch you like a black person just walked into a store!! But in all, the rate was good,and location was good, plenty of restaurants and stores. If I had to I would stay there again.... If I had to!!!! Didn't like how I had to ask for towels every day there's two people in the room but one set of tiles. With all the things going on in rooms beside me got tired of them watching me like I was a criminal!!

If you like rude, nosy people, this might be your place. The old Indian front desk guy came over in mid afternoon and banged on my door for no good reason. He said, "She clean your room?" Just have the maid contact me in late morning, like any normal place. I wouldn't stay here again if it was free.

This hotel is always quiet and you're not Disturbed by anyone once you're inside. Environment is safe because there's no one trolling the parking lot. It is clean and the hotel staff are always friendly.

The price was good and it was a quiet area. No real breakfast offered, just a packed brown bag of hunny bun, small muffin, nutrigrain bar, and orange juice. Only coffee was the small coffee pot in the room with no directions on how to use it. Nothing diabetic friendly. There were a few bugs that the housekeeper called a German cockroach. So that was gross, but they told me they would take care of it and spray again, so I didn't see any more bugs. Older looking rooms, but ok for the price. There, non-smoking room was the absence of a smoke alarm in the room, so that was concerning. I think next time I come to Pensacola, I'll try to stay somewhere else.

That property seems to be quiet and free of traffic all the time. Considering the area, there are no homeless people trolling the parking lot.

AC was off and we checked in late so we were not able to sleep as well. Understand trying to cut expenses and it was very hot. The rooms were probably over 80 degrees until the air was on. It took most of the night to get them cooled down.

The purpose of what I needed from staying at this motel was served. The family that owns this property takes very good care of their business, they care for the yard and rooms. Everything was clean and nice. Chris that works there as housekeeping was very sweet and hard working. If I came back to Pensacola I would most definitely stay here again. Great value, good location to get to Gulf Breeze or the airport. This location seems to be in the middle.

They show breakfast is included, but there is clearly nothing. called the front desk, and they have been absolutely no help at all! A lot of things are broken and unkempt. Plenty of pictures were taken and shown to the front, and they seemed to not really care.

The toilet paper in our bathroom was moldy. The area also seemed a little sketchy which was not at all what the pictures made it out to be. We were issued a refund for the rest of our visit, so overall the staff worked very well with us.

We arrived after midnight and did add note about service animal. Had to pull up Registration for service animal in order to check in & no refunds. The person at check in window charged additional $20 which was fine but when check out time was hour before 11 the staff knocked a couple times ready for us to depart. I'm thankful they did not turn us away but not booking with location in future

Super eight is a wonderful hotels to stay at. I definitely would recommend this to anyone looking for a place to get away from everyone is very quiet here. The office isn’t in your business 24 seven and if you wanted to bring your family through, there’s nobody hanging outside doing drugs all day.

Easy check in and check out. Newly renovated and clean. I was especially pleased with the bankers and sheets not having burn holes in a smoking room… I maybe a smoker but I still have high standards and don’t understand why other smokers would do that in the bed where they’re sleeping.

Not in the best area. Everyone in front was nice. Housekeeping didn’t come by until we checked out. The main issue was the people who stay there partied all night long. There was probably 30 people outside all night drinking, playing loud music. I’m talking till 2-3am. The people above us were loud. I don’t see how the owners allow that. Parking was a nightmare. We couldn’t even get a spot close to our room. If we could it was so small we couldn’t fit. Definitely wouldn’t stay again. Oh, and the beds were hard. We woke up hurting pretty bad.

When I got there to check in they would not use the lobby only a drive thru type window to the side (check out was the same way, so it had nothing to do with the time of day/night). The guy that checked me in the proceeded to try and “bargain” with me on the deposit if I paid cash, even though the website stated clearly that they only accept debit/credit cards. There is no pool, but you can tell where there used to be one and now it is filled with mulch, not even enough care to put some flowers or bushes there. The bathtub in our room had a huge hole in it like someone punched it. There was a woman’s gold earring in the covers of one of the beds, which leads me to believe they aren’t changing the covers between stays. The beds are hard as a rock. And on the morning of us checking out, my oldest son woke up to a bug crawling on his face. I will make sure to never book this overpriced trash again!

Overall a decent experience… nice clean room quiet got good nights sleep all 4 nights… the staff was great things off their property I gave 3 stars because they are not in control of those things/people the 4 stars was because I don’t believe the beds were Queen size but Full size so they were a little small

Room was terrible, smelled like bleach which at least meant it was cleaned, towels & sheets clean but old & stained. Bed extremely hard & uncomfortable. Shower had dirty spots like someone had gotten inside with dirty shoes to clean & then not cleaned off that dirt. Sofa in room was dirty with crumbs. Everything just seemed old & outdated. There was a broken wall lamp hanging by a wire. Room was definitely overpriced. Overall terrible experience & I would never go back

Place was not clean at all. Feet got BLACK from walking from shower to room to dress. Shower had soap wrapers and other trash in it. Was given 1 roll of toilet paper which was used after 1 pee soooo thin, 2 thin towels glad i brought some, no remote had to ask multiple times for one just to be able to try and relax for a minute. As soon as walked through the door stuff all over the floor. Mud all over bathroom wall behind door. Something idk what on bed sheets ( bought a throw away blanket from Walmart and threw over the bed to lay on). Floor was warped and bowing didn't help with motion sickness i was having. Was so tired and drained couldn't deal with fighting for money back another guest said there room was same so no point in getting another room.

It is the south so it was a little humid but the AC kept up in our room and kept us cool. Very close to Walmart and other stores to grab groceries. Close to restaurants and fast food. They also have an ice machine, we used it to fill our cups and little cooler before the beach.

It appears that there has been some renovations and updating to the property. The picture in the Expedia website of the bedroom was representative of what we saw. However the bathroom was sadly neglected, there appeared to have new tile floor, but the toilet had a lot of caulking around it, The tub area had mold and lots of old caulking. When we sat on the bed and got off the bed, there was a loud boom noise like one would hear a dumpster’s lid was closed. We reported it to the staff however he never heard it before and was unsure what could be done. He had to report it to someone else. Every time we got off the beds, it made that noise. It appeared to be caused by the metal partitions from the floor to the bed springs. My sister said she saw a roach. The hairdryer did not work . Even though Expedia advertised we were told breakfast no breakfast available. I went to the office to at 0730 and it was apparent that I had awakened the staff. I got the impression they were unfriendly. My sister said she got a bug bite. During the night at 3 o’clock in the morning someone with a very loud car speakers with rapping music played probably 10 minutes. In the middle of the night, the upstairs people were apparently rolling something around like a bowling ball.

However the bathroom was sadly neglected, there appeared to have new tile floor, but the toilet had a lot of caulking around it, The tub area had mold and lots of old caulking. When we sat on the bed and got off the bed, there was a loud boom noise like one would hear a dumpster’s lid was closed. We reported it to the staff however he never heard it before and was unsure what could be done. He had to report it to someone else. Every time we got off the beds, it made that noise. It appeared to be caused by the metal partitions from the floor to the bed springs. My sister said she saw a roach. The hairdryer did not work . Even though Expedia advertised we were told breakfast no breakfast available. I went to the office to at 0730 and it was apparent that I had awakened the staff. I got the impression they were unfriendly. My sister said she got a bug bite. During the night at 3 o’clock in the morning someone with a very loud car speakers with rapping music played probably 10 minutes. In the middle of the night, the upstairs people were apparently rolling something around like a bowling ball.

At about 2:30 am there was tremendously loud music playing for about 30 mins. Then the music moved to a vehicle driving around the parking lot squealing it’s tires. Very disturbing and pretty much destroyed my sleep for the night.

I believe the owners are doing the best they can in the area and an older motel. The room was clean and the young man who checked me in was polite, friendly and eager to make sure my stay was pleasant. However his parents (asumpton) were not. After the brief interactions with them, (key de-programed & broken hair dryer) if I had not already paid in full and had options, I would have packed up. Oh, dangerous note: The shower tub has a curved bottom with a very narrow 4" flat spot down the center. While getting in the shower I nearly bit the dust several times over my 4 day stay.

Room was clean. Water was hot which was good. But both nights we stayed there it was LOUD at one part during each night with us being woken up. First it was a group of people that were so loud about 3 am. Second night there was a lady cursing and screaming right outside out door around 1am. Just the quality of the area I was not fond of.

It's one of the motels that only service you through an outside window, but the two people working, a manager training someone, were helpful and friendly. The room was clean, nothing fancy, but sufficient for our needs. We had a king bed and there was a small loveseat and coffee table. There's also a desk with a mirror above, which could be used as a make-up area as there's only one sink and not much counter space. There's a microwave and small refrigerator, which would be convenient for someone staying a few days. The mattress and pillows were pretty hard, and I like a firm mattress, so sleeping was a bit difficult for me, but my husband said he slept fine. Towels were standard quality so that was good. The location was convenient for where we were going, and the area seemed pretty safe.

Because of dead plant out front and dumpster, every time I opened the door,many flies came in the room. When I went to the office to let them know, the handed me a can of bug Spry. When I sprayed the flies in my room, the chemical smell was awful and gave me a head ache. The was a dead coach roach under the desk and the blanket had stains on it.

Check in staff was great. Hard to get new towels they wanted you to put your old ones in a washer outside before giving new ones. Seen one roach. Questionable people knocking on our door at 4 am.

This was probably the worst place I have ever stayed. The room was filthy. I’m not sure the mattress was even a real mattress. The online pics looked decent and it was by Wyndham so I assumed it would be a great little place to crash a few nights ahead of our stay. Nope!!! Definitely will never stay again.

The bases of the beds clanked with almost every move. The phone was not actually working. There was yelling and screaming almost all night one night. When I checked in, i was told i would get a copy of my receipt when i checked out, when i checked out and asked about a receipt the male looked and acted aggravated because i apparently woke him up, mind you 7am.

They eventually brought us a dirty fan which made the night bareable. The front door did not close properly. We could lock it but we could see lights and hear the outside from big cracks between door and frame. Beds were very uncomfortable. We would never stay there again.

The room was nice until it was time to go to bed. It was hair all over the sheets and we seen two roaches crawling up the wall. The next day another customer was standing outside her door with only a towel on. On our last day instead of knocking and saying house keeping a guy just walks in while we were getting dressed to leave.

I feel like the property itself was nice and kept up. They were no longer doing breakfast because of Covid which has now been 2 years so you would think they would start to be getting back on track, so that was disappointing. They seem to have just renovated their rooms, but it seems to have been done very cheaply. Like they just slapped some paint on the walls and doors and hung up cheap fixtures and called it a day. The desk had a lot of rust on it and the bed frame just seemed so cheap as to it might buckle when you sat on it too hard. This place has a lot of promise, it just depends on how they decide to go forward with it. When I first ran the water in the sink it was coming out discolored, so I wouldn’t recommend using that for coffee in the room. They did have some vending machines for snacks and drinks that we didn’t use but thought it was nice. Our door to the outside had a gap at the top and it caused some humidity to come in to the room. For a one night stay it wasn’t too bad.

The only Super 8 thing we saw at this hotel were the 8 Super Hookers working on the same floor (2nd) that we stayed on. At 1 am they were still going strong slamming doors and playing music. The room was as clean as I guess they can make it. Everything is old and dated. I had to disconnect the smoke dectector as it was churping every 3 minutes and we could not get a replacement battery from the front desk. Occasionally there was a sound like a bowling alley coming from next door, we still have no idea what it was. Wyndam should not only pull the franchise from this dump, but should then tear it down as a community service.

They say you get what you pay for and that is the truth. Cover had burn holes in it. Found a roach crawling in the bathroom. Was there for a week and they only changed bed linens once and never mopped or swept the floor. I will never in my life stay there again. The only good thing was the lady at the counter, she was always friendly

Terrible area. More drug addicts than normal civilization.
