Red Roof Inn Pensacola Fairgrounds

For 112 bucks a night I wouldn't recommend.. mold on the walls and no phone or alarm worked. And the smell was horrible.

Everything in the room worked lol before coming to this location is stayed the night at the super 8 across the street and I had to be switched 3 times to different rooms when I checked in because the room either had no lights working and TV didnt work at all, second room TV near ac was working properly, third room TV barely worked and only one light worked. Manager acted irrated because I wanted a room that everything worked as should when paying to use it. Red roof was definitely a better stay and red roof has earned my returning business!! Room was still ghetto and burn marks all on the desk but alot better then super 8 still!! Really dont have any complaints here

The bed was not in the best condition, it was definitely old and worn out. Floors were slick from whatever cleaner had been used on it.

I appreciated that the location was close to several food stops and stores. When we checked in 4/3 around 11pm-midnight, we were not greeted by the front receptionist. I had to say hello to get her attention despite all the noise the front door makes as she was distracted on her phone. She proceeded to be extremely rude to my husband and I and appeared upset when we attempted to use a MasterCard to pay, as if we were expected to know her machine didn’t accept MasterCards. After checking in and going about our day the next morning, when we came back in the afternoon we were met with a large, dead cockroach in our room. In addition to this, we had no hot water in our shower. When we left the property and checked out we were not thanked for our stay or even said goodbye too.

I choose Red roof inn fairgrounds in Pensacola due to the location the awesome friendly staff and the comfort I feel while there and my dog loves the place as well Well there's nothing that I really did not like other than that I have to go outside to smoke a cigarette but I can respect that other than that I have no complaints other than I wish the times I'm staying there that I wish I could afford to stay longer due to the fact I live in my car with my dog but not being able to afford to stay longer and having to go outside to smoke which is cool I can respect to outside smoking I have no complaints

I didn't like the smell. My bed had hair a stain and pink fingernail polish on the same sheet. It was so bad they denied a refund so me and my kids slept in the cold car in Red Roof parking lot. Room was to nasty for my kids.

This place had to be the dirtiest, nastiest place we have EVER stayed. There was even mold growing inside the bathroom and on the walls. Health dept needs to get involved as not safe!!! Had I been able to get a reservation somewhere else on such short notice we would have moved, but could not. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT STAY HERE.

The lady at the front desk is awesome and an amazing employee for this hotel even working a double long shift hours she still has a smile on her face and I applaud that when I walked in she already had my cards ready and everything organized to where I didn't have to wait I could just get it and go very good customer service put it that way

This place is disgusting and the staff are even worse. There was mold in the bathroom and on the walls in the room. It was so humid and damp that our clothes were damp and wet from just sitting in an open suitcase. The floor wasn’t vacuumed or mopped, the tv didn’t work, they would only give us 2 bath towels for 3 adults and one child for a 2 night stay. I didn’t like that the bathroom door had so much mold on the outside of it . Breathing that in can make you sick and I didn’t catch it until after I already slept .

The room they put me in was absolutely filthy there was what looked like vomit on the floor and the sheets were unwashed and filthy not to mention the bathroom was basically just duct taped together. 0/10 would not recommend the photos are a straight up lie.

Close to highway What we didn’t like about this property was we had a rat in our room. We called the front desk and she came up by that time I had already gotten the rat out the room and it ran down the hall way into another room. The staff then asked us for a towel to put under the door of the room that the rat ran into that was occupied. And they placed a green deterrent tablet by the two rooms we had. That Was all they did all this as 12a.m my kids crying in the hallway.

I did not stay for breakfast. I had too far to go. omm very nice and xlean have stayed many times in the past. Every thing was fine.

Needs major updating and cleaning. It was a kind of scary atmosphere. I.would not stau here again after seeing it in person.

Old/outdated, smelled like a wet dogs bed, got about three (3) hours total sleep over 2 night due to EXTREME neighbors fighting, law enforcement had to get involved. Second night no better. Will NEVER stay at this hotel again.

It's 1 of the cheaper options & not too far of a drive to Pensacola Beach. It's usually very quiet & no one bothers you BUT The rooms all have mold & need to be seriously cleaned. The springs in mattresses can be felt as soon as you lie down & the pillows are super thin. Your back & neck will be hurting while you're there.

Friendly front counter employee,checked us in quick no hassle,on of the things to improve on is having bigger bottles of shampoo and hand soap, overall we were very satisfied with our stay.

Location Smelled like mold everywhere

Nothing!! I waa acused of identiy theft removed from my room third day of my booking cancled and then propeety stolen as theybremoved from our room!!!

The phone doesn’t work I couldn’t call the front desk as to how to work the tv had to get a second remote. The floor was so dirty I had to wash my feet just put on my socks. VERY noisy. There were cats on the 3rd floor. VERY over priced!!!

Once we stepping into the room the smell was again like mold. I walked into the bathroom and there was black mold on the ceiling -and the shower head was broken and shooting water out of the side. This hotel is used by local people to rent a room for partying over night. Screaming, yelling, throwing furniture, fights, etc. Everybody knew everybody so it’s a regular occurrence.

Our stay was ok but the bathroom floor was very slippery and our room smelled strongly like mold. Host were very friendly. For the price of our stay, the hotel could definitely use some updates.

This property took payment for my hotel room but would not let me check into my room, the hotel manager was so unprofessional and cursed me through the telephone i will never stay at this location ever.

The staff where very friendly and nice to talk with. But the noise in the building was terrible. On the weekend people where fighting, and that was very disturbing for me. The facility is clean, but very used. The microwave in my room was rusted and needs to be replace. If you are only staying a day or so it is convenient.

The stay was average. The hotel room was older and not upkept. The room was musty and poorly maintained. It was mostly clean and the cleaning staff did a good job at replacing towels and linens. The staff was always available and responsive. The condition of the building is not a reflection of the staff. The staff was great.

The clerk bent over backwards to help us after we left the nasty Quality Inn. Couldn't get Streaming channels to stay on seemed like internet problems. All in all it was pretty good hotel. Staff were all very good and helpful!

Room had Mold, Insects and a nasty smell , I tried to get my money back to get a different hotel riom but due to using Expedia a thits party , I could not . So i was very dissatisfied and will never stay at a red roof hotel again or use Expedia. Room had roaches , woke up to a spoder the size of a quarter.

This place should be shut down for renovations. The hotel is nasty and out dated. There was an bad smell like sour or wet carpet everywhere. Throbs were tiny and my reservation was for two queen beds but I was in a room with two full beds. It was horrific. The shower head was ancient and the water came out in a war that prevent you from having a good shower. I will say they did have a nice handle in the shower for my 72yr old mom, and the water was hot. In my personal opinion this place is straight trash.

It’s started when I arrived, parking lot was super clean. The lady at check in was super nice. The room was clean and the bathroom SPOTLESS. It was next to I10 and a Waffle House, Cracker Barrel and McD. I would stay here again!

I can say with confidence we did NOT come across any type of bugs inside the room (bed bugs, roaches, ants, etc) which is the most important thing for us, especially when traveling with children. Lots of folks have left lots of reviews of this red roof inn. It’s a good basic hotel that’s being slowly updated. The beds were fine for two nights and it’s close enough to enough food that you won’t go hungry. It’s not a Hilton; it doesn’t pretend to be a Hilton and you won’t get a Hilton at this price point. At this hotel you will get a decent place to stay at a price you can afford.

This is an older building so not the “latest and greatest amenities. The staff is super friendly and helpful, the room was clean, hotel was quiet and I felt totally safe there (single woman traveling alone so that’s important). I would stay there again.

Not so great was okay i thought at first 😕 we got there and the floors were damp , we thought it was because the air had been off ..all evening we used towels to walk on the floor. went to sleep .. woke up and there was a puddle of water on the floor and the floors were still damp. The baseboard by the ac was coming apart . I spoke with the lobbyists she moved us to the room nest door said the owner would be in at 9 am . So the new room .. dog hair on the covers and the kids socks are black and we have been in the room for 10 mins .. we wait for the owner .. we go in at 910 ish am tocspeak with the owner and they didnt show up the new lobbyists then said that the owner probably wouldnt be there until around 11 . She said that we couldnt get a refund becuase we went through a third party " hotels.com" and it wasnt my card on file .. so im currently waiting for the owners to respond to hotels.com for a refund . Tbh we will be lucky if we are not sick from sleeping in the room like that.

We wanted a clean quiet place that was inexpensive for the night. Just what we needed and close to the highway! Nothing fancy- but what do you expect. Staff was friendly.

Theyre wasnt e en a trash can in the room, mine looked like a warden of a prison designed it. Trying to fit a hotel room into a 12×8ft cell , no contraband here, no place to even put your stuff. Not a dresser , only a 2ft rack over the mini desk to try to hang some clothes up. walk in shower. I had to put everything on my bed to try to go through my stuff. No room to walk in there. Its a homeless shelter room spruced up a bit. I paid for 3 nights left after first ,took the loss. Should have known better than to pick a Pensacola hotel.

After we settled into another room, another roach came out. There was no continental breakfast as advertised.

The location is easy on/off from I-10 and there is a gas station and 4-5 food places in walking distance. And less than 2 miles N is a Dunkin Donuts and Walmart grocery store. Our room was clean and basic, but meet our needs. Best of all - Dogs stay free!!!

The smell of this hotel is unbearable. The overall appearance of the property is poor. Guest appeared to be residing there, as people were sitting in the hallway as if they were sitting on their front porch. I reserved 2 nonsmoking rooms, but that definitely wasn't the case. I attempted to walk in one of the rooms and was immediately disgusted. This property is disgusting!!

The room was alright, but you could tell it hadn’t been cleaned. There was hair on the floor when I got there and I stayed for 3 nights and the housekeeper only came once to straighten up my room. There were guests sitting in the hallway and it was loud, but I just attributed that to the holiday weekend. The only good thing I have to say about this hotel is that the bed was comfortable. Everything else was awful. Rundown, dated and very dirty. The bottoms of my feet were black after walking around the room for a few minutes. Light bulbs were missing in lamps. The shower had no hot water!! And for this we paid just over $100. We will NOT be back!

I got in at 3am after driving for over 16 hrs straight. I called ahead of time explaining that I was going to be getting in very late and was assured that was fine. When I arrived I was told there was an issue with me checking in because it was past midnight (I had called earlier in the day to avoid this). They finally told me they fixed it and if there was an issue they’d handle it in the morning. So I went to my room and went to sleep and then almost an hour later right after falling asleep the staff member present knocked on my door waking me and told me I’d have to come back to the front desk and pay for an additional nights stay when I would be leaving in a couple hours and we’ll within my original reservation. I just paid the extra night rather than argue at the time because I needed rest as I had another long day of driving to come but the whole experience was ridiculous and it is my intention to make my experience know on every reviews site possible.

The room was for the most part very cozy and nice and clean; what could've been better was the television could've been bigger and more easier for me to set up my Apple TV, if The mattress didn't have any springs, and if the air conditioner gets replaced because it left a slight dirt smelling type odor But it wasn't too overwhelming.

Very run down

We had mold on the ceiling above the window. The “pocket-door” to our bathroom was a interior door shoved into the pocket door slot, no lock and you could see through the hole where a door knob should go. Also if you are looking for a relaxing pool day, don’t book here, the pool was green. This hotel is very poorly maintained.

Got into our room, all we had time to do was change clothes. Later that night when we got back we noticed there was mold on the ceiling & lampshades. We asked for more towels, the ones provided had stains on them.

Booked 2 rooms with 2 queen beds. Got to the hotel and checked in and each room had 1 bed. They didn’t even mention it or anything we just had to find out by surprise that they ran out of rooms with 2 beds. Then we were told it’s pit problem to deal with. Terrible customer service
