The room was decent, comfortable and clean The main lobby and breakfast area were stifling hot whether it was 7 am or 7 pm. It was ridiculous.

The staff were all friendly. The little elderly lady who fixed breakfast was so sweet and kind. The kind of person grandkids would love to hug all the time. Room 209, the carpet was worn and filthy. We wore our flip flops to keep our feet clean. We didn't have any body soap in the shower. The bed was awesome! Slept like a baby. The pool was nice and clean. We enjoyed our stay. It was just one light away from our favorite ice cream shop, Paradise Ice Cream!!!!

I loved the customer service ! The front desk staff and the breakfast attendant Cynthia (I believe her name was - older black woman with glasses ) she was amazing! Very kind & intentional and the front desk lady -lightskin lady with braids was so helpful & kind! The beds were super comfortable , breakfast was good & great location -right near the beach & peaceful area! The shower had a dripping issue throughout the night & the light above the sink was kind of hanging down (none of that affected my stay though ) but other than that , everything was great !

I really enjoyed the cleanliness of the room and how comfortable the bed was. The staff were friendly and attentive, making check-in and check-out smooth. I also appreciated the variety and quality of the breakfast options each morning.

We always stay here when visiting Pawleys Island. The staff is wonderful and even called our room to check to see if everything was to our liking. Breakfast is convenient and good. Rooms are always clean.

It's an older hotel that is in a great location in Pawley's Island.

Great location, price and wonderful staff. The free breakfast was great and the lady responsible for the food was so friendly and kind!! Actually all the staff were very kind and helpful! Some of the bathroom needed a little repair, nothing too serious

We wont ever stay here again, .. we stayed here a few years ago and it was much nicer back then…. This hotel needs a major upgrade…

We have decided that next time we come down to the beach to visit family, we will stay at our usual hotel and pay the extra money, for a better time, and not worry about getting sick from the food

This Wes the second time we stayed at this location the second time was just as good as the first time. Clean rooms and lobby . We will stay at this location again.

The breakfast was good...normal for a continental breakfast. Unfortunately that was the only place to get coffee....none in the room. The shower was touchy and the handle would move on it's own from warm to cold.

I did have hair in my tub and asked for it to be cleaned again.

I had just had a terrible experience at another hotel on the island and I instantly knew I was in good hands when she greeted me. Cynthia the breakfast attendant was exceptional - warm, friendly and great service. My room was clean and comfortable and the bed was great. I would happily stay here again!

The picture in rhe room had "something" on it, and the cleaning person did not replace my towels. She moved my washcloth in the shower, which made me then not use that one. Thankfully I travel with them. And while she did change my garbage, she left the full bag on the table. Also, didn't remake the bed. Last week's stay was much better. The woman who served breakfast was FABULOUS!!!! Super personable, attentive to each guest. Food was very good. Seceral options were offered. She made the stay enjoyable.

Are not worth the price of admission? As you well know, the price of food is not to be given away. Any longer? In these days it truly is you get what you pay for hope that answers your curiosity

I would have like to have more options of snacks from a vending machine. There were a few items at check in and she did says there were vending machines, I only found with soda and water. I had an event happen that made me get to hotel about 2am. With no outside restaurants open and a gas station at opposite side of road I came from, some crackers or salty sweet snack outside of chips would have helped get me through to breakfast. Otherwise, everything was great! Thank you

The room smelled clean, bed was nice, clean and comfortable, shower had stains from a cleaner, carpet needed replaced. Water was barely warm enough for a shower and the second night the warm water turned cool mid shower. That was a cold shower and my sister ended up not getting a shower because of no hot water. The breakfast staff was pleasant and Cynthia made our morning. She was so friendly and greeted us with a “good morning” and light conversation. She was very diligent with maintaining warm breakfast food and helping in any way she could.

I have stayed at this property before. It is a clean, affordable place to stay in an area that is very close to shopping, dining, & local attractions. This place is seriously outdated and can be seen throughout in areas like the carpeting, the ceiling, the fixtures. Despite that, it is kept very clean. My only complaint is that I received a knock on my door shortly after checking in around 4 in the afternoon and it was a "man" with a clipboard claiming to need to check and measure the windows. I did not let him in as I was preparing to get on a zoom call for work, but this made me uneasy. It could have been legitimate, but the hotel attendant should have notified guests that this would be occurring for safety purposes.

We've stayed at this hotel 4 or 5 times now and the staff is very friendly. The hot breakfast is above average and the "Breakfast Lady" in charge is wonderful. We'll probably be back next summer at this well-maintained property.

The parking area had no security, was open to the main street without hindrance. Facility was very good. Plumbing was a problem. The shower did not drain and water covered the bathroom floor. The sink barely drained. The personnel were friendly and cooperative.

We accidentally locked it, too and had to call the front desk to have someone open it. Turns out, it opens with a paper clip. They need to replace that door! Other than that, the staff was super helpful and very nice! They had breakfast bags to go for us (business trip, had to leave early), and fresh towels when we needed them. Very dirty sink was backing up to another room refrigerator was not working cockroaches dead and alive on the floor of the second room as well. I have a refund receipt from the manager that could not accommodate me any further why all the other rooms were booked!!!

Additionally, the room was run down, in need of an upgrade especially in the bathroom. Needs more lighting in bedroom. The best part of the stay was a lovely woman working at the breakfast buffet. She was extremely helpful, friendly, and offered to pray with us for a safe journey. She is a blessing!

The bedding was so soft, the pillows especially made me feel like I was sleeping on clouds. I loved how there was shampoo and body wash dispensers hanging inside the shower wall, and so I didn’t have to use the teeny bar soaps that get washed down the drain after a few uses in one shower trip. I do wish comfort inn would supply conditioner dispenser inside shower, and hand wash dispenser beside the sink as well, to make it more comfortable for the guests. The air conditioning was not on when we arrived, so we cut it on to circulate the air and after 3 days of window opening, and door opening, we both came to the conclusion that the air filter for the air conditioner needed to be replaced. Other than that, the breakfast was good, the hotel is quiet and peaceful.

When my husband and i arrived we were greated very warmly by the hostess at the desk. The room smelled as if there had been a fire a few days before. The black staff members were awesome, very warm and inviting.The night manager was there the second night, whom was a white lady with blonde hair, she did not greet my husband nor me it seemed it was a little racially charged. We had an issue with the key she simply asked for my drivers license. No apology at all, no sorry for the convience. She had just seen me walk through the lobby before.The bed was very comfortable.Overall it was ok experience but for the 412.00 I paid it could have been better.

Location is very close to Brookgreen Gardens, less than a 10 minute drive.

I stayed here 10 years ago for a week and never had to ask for a thing. The pool was like bathwater and was well over filled. We heard other guest complaining about the same thing. With it being so hot, we were looking for a cool dip in the pool. The house cleaning staff were very sweet and professional and made our day as we left. My daughter was so impressed with the lady in the breakfast room, that she stopped on our way out to give her a tip. The room was nice and clean, and we just had a few things that would have made it perfect.

Really nice hotel, would definitely stay here again. Staff were very kind, no bugs, and the hotel room was very nice and clean. Breakfast wasn’t that good the reason why my rating is 4 stars.

Stayed here before room was in better shape, This time room was worn and put in a HP room were shower ran all over the floor.

It was a good stay overall. Room and halls were clean, the breakfast area was a little humid.

With this same front desk staff member, she gave my mother a bad attitude because the key to the room wouldnt work and we had to get new keys. We tried to brush off that she had a attitude with my mother, but we also ran into another resident that said she had a bad attitude with her also and she had to talk to her about it and stated she will be giving a bad review for her stay also! Last but not least, my son vomited on the bedding, so i needed someone to come and change the bedding. Went to the front and the same lady on staff told me they dont have any staff to come clean it up and told me i would have to change the bedding myself and gave me the sheets and pillow cases. Forgot to give me the quilt and i had to return to the front to get the quilt! We only stayed one night and that one night stay was a bad experience. Next morning staff was better. But already had the bad experience.

Staff was very kind and helpful, hotel is older but clean. We were there on a holiday weekend and I think the staff had a hard time keeping up with keeping breakfast stocked. More grab and go options like individual yogurts and bagels, juice, etc might help instead of the dispenser type choices. Bed was comfortable. Pool is small but well maintained. Location is great, short ride to beach and restaurants.

We enjoyed the location and being able to enjoy the pool without being crowded. The lady over the breakfast was the absolute sweetest.

Somewhat dated hotel near beach. Needs attention to shower-mold in corners where not cleaned properly. No hooks in bathroom for wet suits and towels. But bed was clean and staff was friendly.

The staff were very friendly, the room and the facility were very clean. The only thing that I didn’t like was that the bed was very high and being a 4’11 women, it was very difficult to get into bed

Please be sure to keep an eye out on the handicapped parking. It looked like a couple spaces were taken by people without the proper identifying placard / license plate

We booked a handicap room with a roll-in shower. What a joke. The shower curtain was about 9" too short so all the water went out onto the floor. I had to request 4 towels each day to mop up the floor. My husband was extremely afraid of falling.

My wife and I were satisfied with our stay at this hotel.

A 2 Star rating is appropriate here. Staff nice but the property is very dated. Not worth dollars spent.

I visit the Pawleys Island area frequently, and usually stay at the Hampton Inn. I decided to try Best Western because the price was less expensive. I was pleasantly surprised to find a clean, comfortable stay. The staff were very nice. they responded to all of my requests. I stayed with my family and it is a family friendly place. This will be my new place to stay at.

Quiet. Comfortable. Safe. Needs a better breakfast selection. Staff is friendly. I have stayed many times as it the center for each direction I need to go when I stay. Side door lock to get in needs fixed. It’s a hotel that is older and outdated on inside and updated outside. Yes, I would recommend for short stays.

Staff member at check in wasn’t very friendly. Give us a room that hadn’t been cleaned yet. But give other guests rooms that were cleaned whom checked in after us. We had to wait a additional hour.

Nice place, but needs better lighting though out the rooms and building, a little on the dark side. Good location and friendly staff!

I arrived at 10 pm. Desk clerk was professional. I thought my room was clean, as was the bathroom. I would have liked at least one room light that was not so cold/blue looking. I did notice a couple of paint options on the exterior side of the bathroom door, which needs to be corrected. Free breakfast was fine. The ladies taking care of the breakfast area were so nice and helpful. Checkout was a breeze. Overall it was fine; I do think the public areas needed an update in the lobby areas, they looked a bit tired.

Very dated property, carpet in room was old. Lobby old and dated. Fitness room poor condition. Breakfast area way too small and tables were on top of each other. Limited options for breakfast choices. Pool was not clean, weeds and actually had a pine sapling growing out of the concrete around the pool. We chose this hotel due to a “8.2 rating” which is completely overstated. Do not stay here!!

That said, the beds were super comfortable, which is a big deal for me. The rest of the stay was pretty average—not amazing, but not bad either. We needed a place to sleep and grab a quick shower in the morning, and that’s exactly what we got. For what we needed, we were totally satisfied.

The person at the front desk when we arrived was not friendly nor helpful. The pros? The bed was comfortable and it was pretty cheap. It’s a good place to stay overnight if you only need a place to sleep.

Stay was very good. Breakfast was very good. Was able to get refund when we left 2 days earlier than planned.

Had some issues with housecleaning..had to take care of our own trash..also the dispensers in the shower were low on soaps..asked yo have them replenish...took 3 days for that to be addressed. Asked to talk to manager friday night , desk attendent gave me a card to call general manager.. made the call and it goes to the main desk..where i was told i had to wait till mo day to talk to the manager...really ?? Why waste my time , why didn't you tell me that in the first place...plus i was leaving Sunday..no sense calling Monday.

Upgrade such as laminate flooring in the rooms and hallway should be considered. Again the staff saved this place and made our stay enjoyable. Cynthia the breakfast woman and Latoya the front desk attendant as well night clerk made us feel at home, that kind of service goes a long way making the product worthy.

The older lady who works the breakfast was wonderful! She was so helpful, pleasant, and kind. It was nice to see there are still kind people!
