Beautiful hotel. The garden area is so serene and relaxing. The beds were very comfortable. My sister and I went to a concert at the Hollywood Bowl and stayed at this hotel. Great choice!

Opportunities- Gym was tricky to get into since you have to check-in at the spa to use which was a bit awkward. Front desk staff had one unfriendly young guy who lacked people skills. Nonetheless, everyone else was exceptional and will be back here for sure!

They were working on the entire landscaping during our stay on May 26 so didn’t get to see the beauty in that. We upgraded our room to have a club room w/ balcony but when we went to the room the balcony only gave you the view of the parking structure. The only good thing out of the stay was the 8th floor club where you can eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have a variety of things to eat and everything was delicious. It saved us a lot of money having to spend around the hotel if your on a budget.

Our stay was a slice of heaven. This was our first visit to the hotel. The gardens were spectacular for strolling, the afternoon tea was top-notch, we enjoyed a delicious in-room breakfast on our anniversary but also enjoyed breakfasts by the pool on the other mornings. Our room with patio was spacious and quiet.

The Langham Huntington is a beautifully maintained and well-situated hotel in a gorgeous setting. The grounds are beautiful and walks outside the gates in San Marino or South Pasadena are on broad tree-lined streets of estate homes. The staff is exceptionally helpful and go out of their way to be sure that you are satisfied with your room or any amenity. It is not inexpensive, but worth it for a vacation or long weekend when you want a nice getaway.

This hotel was better than expected. From the very kind and helpful staff, to the delicious food at all the venues (Tap Room, Terrace and Royce), this was the perfect place to come home to after touring LA. The grounds are gorgeous, spacious and beautifully kept. The rooms were spacious, with banquettes and views of the grounds. I will definitely be back.

I think in general the hotel is pretty good but the hotel's management is only limited. E.g., in the restroom in the lobby, the hand soap bottle is right above towels which doesn't sound the right set up (it's very easy to make the towel dirty) and there should be more than 2 places for charging.

The property was set in a beautiful residential/mansion area. The Langham Huntington was one of those resorts that you want to go and stay on the property because it is what soothes your soul. It was on 23 acres, we walked into some of the gardens, but didn’t have enough time for it all. We arrived on a Sunday, , not all the restaurants were open for dinner.

The two pools were essentially closed on a holiday Sunday (one gate was locked, the other had covers over all the chairs. When I asked the desk staff why, they said “to prepare for rain that night”. But it was partly sunny all day till we departed at 5pm. Also the pool bar do food & drinks was closed too. Room service dinner was quoted as :35, and came in :80 minutes. And our baggage came back damaged from the bellhop and getting to file a claim with the on-site manager Michael took :40. I’ve staycationed there for 20-years, (since it was the Ritz Carlton) and this customer service was lazy and poor.

Beautiful old building and grounds. All well-maintained. Unhelpful and supercilious front desk. No coffee one morning. No breakfast included in room at any price. Hotel is distant from any coffee or restaurant. They used to have a shuttle, but not for weeks now. They are clearly economizing on staff, which is reflected in the service. A once-wonderful hotel that is now under inferior management. No reason to choose this hotel any more, except for special events.

We booked through Expedia and were given a room with no hand soap, no towels, a leaking toilet tank that refilled loudly every 45 minutes throughout the night, and a clogged shower drain. The constant noise made it very difficult to sleep. When I reported these issues to the front desk, I was told that because the reservation was made through Expedia, they could not do much to help, which was extremely disappointing. Booking through Expedia should not result in receiving a lower standard room or reduced service. They waived one night’s resort fee. I was also an Expedia VIP guest, but that status did not seem to matter at all. This is a great hotel with potential, but the way this situation was handled — especially shifting responsibility because of a third-party booking — was unacceptable. I hope Expedia takes a closer look at how partner hotels treat guests who book through their platform.

I stayed here on a whim. This was the best stay in hotel I’ve ever had, and I’ve stayed in some very amazing 5 star hotels. The beds were very comfortable. They upgraded my room to include a terrace that overlooked the beautiful courtyard. It was very clean. For such a storied property, the room, grounds, dining, and pool facilities are impeccably cared for and no detail is overlooked. The staff were authentically friendly and helpful. (You can tell when people are schmoozing for a tip. I never felt that here.) This hotel is genuinely beautiful. Its early 20th century charm is present even though it’s been updated. The food was excellent. Nothing I tried was disappointing. I brought colleagues and guests for lunches, dinners, and afternoon tea and all were very impressed. It was a work trip, and I never felt like I had to leave the hotel to eat, find a quiet place to work, or for small inconveniences that inevitably come up. They took care of everything and coming back at the end of the day or after meetings was relaxing and tranquil. I will stay here again.

Very fine structure with an affluent vibe. “Club” amenities nice, and staff were friendly. Room was slightly small and bathroom too basic for 5-star. Felt cheated at the in-house fine-dining restaurant, The Royce. (See separate review of that in Google Maps.)

For over $500 per night, stay elsewhere. It has a very dated interior, the “superior” rooms were like a dungeon. A small window overlooking a roof top and boiler room. And the worst part, there was a very loud banging noise from the ceiling 24/7 that came every 25 seconds. Kept me up and I couldn’t get work done due to the noise.

The restaurants had great customer service. Unfortunately the hotel itself did not. I paid a lot of money for a room that wasn’t in my opinion worth the price the pictures are deceiving, there was two extra guest rollaway beds in the room when we arrived that we didn’t request so that tells me nobody ever even went in and checked on the room before we got there. There were other guests food trays that the staff left outside our suite that were there for a couple hours. The air conditioning in the room didn’t work that great. It seems like the hotel is under staffed the front desk in the middle of the day had like eight people in line and there was only one employee. For how much money we spent on the room and food and drink I could’ve went on a vacation with plane tickets for that price was very disappointing. My wife and I were there for our anniversary. I wouldn’t say it was a horrible experience, but there was more disappointment than we expected

Every employee was extremely nice and helpful, we enjoyed the golf, enjoying the property and the club floor. The room itself was nice and the beds were comfortable. I had sent a request prior to our stay, I wanted to book a club access room, but wasn’t certain if it could accommodate my guest who was vegan and gluten-free. I did receive a very nice reply stating that there would be options for my guest in the club. Unfortunately, during many of the services there were not any substantial options other than a snack. I was a little disappointed in that because I did ask in good faith prior to our visit and the room service menu did have a good variety of options, but they were not available in the club. For myself, an omnivore, the options were lovely

Cons: I requested a high floor away from noise when I booked and even confirmed this with the reservations team and front desk staff and then they decide me to put me in room on the same level of the Ballrooms and the Bridge to get to the pools. Literally steps away from the elevator. Two weddings the weekend of my stay so very Noisy! Not sure where the disconnect was but I think the front desk guy in the front did not like me and did that intentionally. We ultimately moved rooms a few hours later to the 6th floor. Also- my expedia gold rate mentioned that a few room upgrade would be provided, but we did not get placed in an upgraded room as it was not ready when we checked in. Oh well. Getting seats at the main pool was like winning the lottery. Literally all pool chairs were taken by 8am. And the hotel allows ResortPass holders book seats, making it harder for paying guests to enjoy the amenities. They should have more loungers in storage to account for this. Lots of kids at the pool as well, which did not allow for much peace and quiet but nice to see people having fun. Enjoyed my breakfast at the Terrace restaurant, albeit the seats/table were quite dirty from guests before. Overall - a decent stay but could have been better.

Overall decent, but not what you should expect from a high-end hotel. The room was very plain. The sundry shop was never open and no hours posted. Valet kept bringing the car up and then parking it well off to the side. We orders breakfast the last day online, only to be told 10 minutes before the meal was due that they didn’t know how the ordering system worked, but the kitchen OPENED at 6 AM, which was the time they offered to deliver the meal. Obviously had to cancel that.

Lovely property and grounds. We have two rooms. One with a balcony overlooking the Lanai pool and another on the same floor. I would highly recommend a balcony room if you like to sit out and enjoy the view with room service etc. But if you want something more quiet then choose another because it is a popular pool and there were outdoor receptions nearby although they don’t go that late. Both rooms were fairly spacious but need a little bit of updating; other rooms on the property apparently have been. The staff is fantastic at every level and we had superb service at the front desk, both restaurants and at the Tap room. Highly recommend the steakhouse for dinner and ask for a table near the window. We sat there and had a fantastic anniversary dinner. The Tap room is the bar/lounge with great outdoor seating that is very relaxing. We were here over the Memorial Day weekend so there were lots of weddings and people but it was very enjoyable and relaxing. Would recommend calling ahead for your car when coming and going because it is all valet and with the wedding season there can be a wait when wanting to leave. We will definitely be back.

Staff was strange and snooty. Not what I expected. I expected a lot from a Langham property, particularly since the one I stayed at in Sydney was incredible in every way. Too bad

Loved the Langham. Stayed before. If you book a cottage make sure you do a walk through before committing because they can smell like sewage/old sulfur because they're so old. We ended up opening the doors and using room spray but it was definitely still strong.

Pasadena was the winter vacation hot spot for the wealthy and famous in the early 1900s. The Langham was its crown jewel. Set in 20 plus acres of lush, flower filled walk ways an paths, with a main building with bright, thick walled and spacious rooms that harken back to a period when craftsmanship was most valued. Can’t think of a better, more luxurious place to stay outside and north of LA.

A little pricey, grounds were gorgeous but the classic outdated interior was not worth $600 a night. Ugly carpet, pathetic shower, no charging ports. No screens on windows. So a charming old building, but very pricey for an old cottage.

They didn't have the 2 bed room I reserved and they put me in a 1 king bed room. They gave me a rollerbed, waived my parking, waived the whatever fee and gave me $100 so it's all good 👍.

This hotel was one of the best I’ve staying in quite a while. It was clean, rooms were large and roomy. Walls were soundproof, and great dining options though pricey. Right near the SGV so plenty of dining options. Parking fee of $47 was outrageous, but comparable to other nearby hotels. Overall a wonderful stay.

Overall hotel property, staff and service were wonderful. The reason for the 3 star rating is that we were assigned Room 251 which is described as a Deluxe room but was not. It's located near the restaurant so the noise level was not acceptable. We kept getting told it would stop at a certain time so we stayed because we didn't want to move rooms if we didn't have to, but after almost 3 hours, we had enough. The room they moved us to was a downgrade but was quiet. Staff was helpful but we wish they were upfront about the noise. We would not have waited and just moved from the beginning.

We had an amazing staycation at the Langham. Highly recommend Executive Club Room with access to the Langham Club Lounge. Great service all around. Complimentary use of spa and tennis court for guests. There were also some complimentary fitness classes. Grounds were beautiful.

Second checkin was terrible. Valet helped with luggage, however, i did not recieve the room I paid for. Was told an emergency required my toom I prepaid for was not available and was "upgraded" to a very small, very noisy room. It was an insult. I do not plan to stay here again with what I paid and the service provided.

Fantastic stay! Very beautiful property and extremely courteous staff. From the time I checked in till I checked out I was pampered. I highly recommend the spa. Located a little away from downtown but loved the hotel’s Lucid (house car) local drop off and pickup service.

The hotel itself is very nice including the exterior grounds and seems to be in good condition, and we were pleasantly surprised by the upgrade to a huge apartment-style cottage which was really great. Most of the service was good, but the hotel seems to be short-handed, eg. we had to wait a little while checking out because there was only one guy working at the front desk although there was a line. The biggest disappointment was at the Royce Steakhouse where the wagyu steak we ordered was pretty good but the whole lobster we ordered wasn't fresh; we informed the waiter afterwards and there was not followup. Valet-only parking in Pasadena also seems a bit unusual to me.

I have visited the bar several times but never stayed there. I spent 4 days there after being evacuated from my home due to firestorms. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel has lovely grounds. My room was comfortable. Food is expensive there and there are not alot of options in the immediate neighborhood - might be tough with young children. Excellent fitness classes are included in the room price and there is a large pool.

We were evacuated from our home because of the Eaton Fire in California. Our home survived but it was several weeks before we were allowed back into the evacuation area. We've been cleaning up everything from yard waste to soot/ash etc. in our house. We needed a couple of days away for professional cleaning of the interior from smoke damage. We were also helping our Rotary Clubs provide aid for our community. The Langham was a welcome retreat for a couple of nights as all of this was going on.
