Hyatt Place Pasadena

One of the best things about this hotel is its convenient location. The mall is right next door, and there are plenty of great restaurants within walking distance. The complimentary breakfast was also a nice bonus and a great way to start the day. I would definitely stay here again!

One night stay in this beautiful hotel in Pasadena. Excellent location, with plenty of restaurants nearby. Great breakfast was included. The only downside: the charge for parking was on the high side. Don't understand why hotels don't just build in the parking charge in the overall room charge? That way they could offer "free" parking and I bet get more bookings.

The breakfast was awesome. First time seeing a setup that has an opening from the wall to the where the cooks can easily replace when main hot items are running low. The room was almost perfect except that it didn't had a microwave and closet light when opens. But that's it. I would stay again.

We stayed here because of its location being near the Pasadena convention center. We were so impressed by how welcoming the staff was. They presented us with water bottles at check in and let us know all about our amenities right away, including the complimentary breakfast. The onsite restaurant and close by restaurant made it easy to find a place to eat for lunch and dinner. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. We loved that you needed a key to access the floors in the hotel for added security. Great stay!

Pasadena location is kind of in the middle of the city to drive to different locations. LA is huge so it helped to be anround 1hr drive of all the locations we were visiting. Overall wonderful property and will definitely consider again if in LA.

Our stay at Hyatt Place was very comfortable with a full breakfast and a quiet pool area. Somehow I received an email from Expedia charging me to insure the rental. I’m clueless how that happened. So be careful when booking on Expedia.

It had everything we needed. Starbucks a short distance away. The buffet was nice at hotel. Was able to find a spot for my dog to go to the bathroom a block away. A few restaurants close by & movie theater. Pool was nice & workout room good also. I will definitely stay here again when I visit family.

Before my arrival, I contacted the hotel to request an early check-in. I never received a response. When I arrived at 2:30 p.m. for the standard 3:00 p.m. check-in, I was told that rooms on the top floor, which I had requested, were no longer available because the hotel had already begun checking guests in earlier due to a booking system upgrade. I was not informed of this change in advance, and despite my prior outreach, I was not given any opportunity to check in early. When I reached my room, I found that the refrigerator was broken and the desk chair was unusable, as it could not be adjusted to a proper height for working. Although maintenance eventually came to fix both issues, the delay disrupted my limited preparation time for the California Bar Exam the following day. I also experienced ongoing noise disturbances from the room directly above me. I contacted the front desk twice and asked that someone address the issue. Despite those efforts, the stomping continued into the evening and night, affecting my ability to rest. I do not know whether any staff actually followed up on my complaints. To make matters worse, after spending ten hours taking the bar exam, I returned to find myself locked out of my room. I was told this was because the hotel needed an updated credit card on file. Rather than notifying me earlier in the day or allowing me to resolve the issue at checkout, I was forced to go back to the front desk, wait in line, and request new keys. This was an unnecessary burden at an extremely inopportune time.

Great stay for our family to celebrate a graduation. Rooms were clean, accommodating for family of 5, loved the pull out couch. Loved breakfast in AM, close to shopping and restaurants. Didn’t have to use car for 2 days. Everything was walkable. Very safe area.

The Hyatt is well located in Pasadena. It was an easy walk to the Old Pasadena district with lots of dining and shopping options. It's only a couple of miles away from the Huntington Gardens, which is a must see. On site breakfast is good and reasonably priced compared to the other breakfast options in the area.

BREAKFAST is awful. Everything was cold; eggs, sausage, waffles, potatoes, egg bites. Staff was superior. Always had smile and a genuine "HELLO". Hotel was always clean. The snacks for sale are very overpriced. $4.00 for a pop tart? Come on!

Not sure how its allowed to not cancel reservations, I usually don't pick that option. I tried 10 days prior but was not allowed to cancel my reservation that i had to change plans for.

Me and my kids loved this stay. The room was exceptionally clean. The bathroom was nice with a walk in shower. Everything felt so safe and comfortable which is a big one for us. The hotel offers a parking garage with elevators that take you straight to your room. Parking is $30. You must give the front desk your ticket so that they can register you for a one time $30 charge with ins and outs for the amounts of nights you stay. The area feels so safe, make it easy to walk to nearby locations♡♡

I didn't find the staff welcoming and the food service was really poor for a hotel of this standing maybe I had too many expectations. Even the swimming pool was very poor compared to what I thought.

This was a business conference that originally was booked for February, which I attend annually. Due to fires in Pasadena, it was moved to July. I was not given a refund, but only a credit and had to pay a large difference when rebooked in July. I have stayed at the Hyatt before and it is a nice accomodation, but their new air conditioning/air flow system is awful. It is only motion sensored only, so when you are sleeping, the fan turns off. It got extremely uncomfortable and warm and stuffy at nighttime. I called for maintenance to come and just turn on the fan, they cannot override the ecosystem that is motion sensored only. I asked for a desk fan or anything and they could not accomodate. I then ordered small fans from amazon. I will not stay here again. I paid entirely too much money to not sleep well.

Love location facilities,staff etc. My room was situated nicely, although for whatever reason on the 2nd night stay there was a loud engine of some sort on the roof, sounded like a generator or ACunit overhead that was so significant it caused a vibration and the loudness reverberated throughout the room. I could not sleep after 11pm it was constant keeping me awake throughout the remainder of the night. I could not sleep. I think my number was 609.

What I Liked: - Spacious room with impressive floor-to-ceiling windows offering a nice view - Location was convenient for our specific needs What Needed Improvement: - Maintenance issues were evident throughout the room: - The balcony door was extremely difficult to open and close - Carpet was coming up at the corners by the windows - The bathroom had two doors (one from the bedroom, one from the main area) but only one had a lock, which was concerning for privacy - Odd room design with mismatched furniture and an inefficient layout that wasted considerable space - Safety concerns with the television mounted on a thin, unstable stand that posed a hazard for my toddler - Cleanliness was below expectations - the room needed a more thorough cleaning - Bed comfort was mediocre at best - Service was adequate but not memorable Would I Return? While the location worked for this particular trip, the maintenance issues, cleanliness concerns, and safety hazards with the unstable TV stand would make me hesitant to stay here again, especially when traveling with a young child. For the Hyatt brand, I expected better attention to detail and upkeep of the facilities. If you're considering this property, I'd recommend not traveling with little ones as there were many safety concerns.

Beautiful, elegant, clean and amazing accomodating staff!

Very nice upscale hotel.

Average hotel, nothing special, young and inexperienced but nice staff, hotel parking for 30$ pretty outrageous (this is not a luxury hotel), rooms ok, clean. Too pricy for what it is.

The staff was really friendly and the rooms were very clean

We came down from San Jose for a concert locally, we wanted somewhere nice and quiet with great beds which we received! Service was great people were offering to help at any moment. What was really kind of unsatisfactory, around midnight we went downstairs and purchased some food from the freezers over $100, came upstairs to find out there's no microwave? It was a refrigerator behind the closed doors which is fine. Seems like every room we've ever had always has a small microwave, it was just odd that it didn't have one. So we couldn't eat the food. We didn't feel like going back down or calling about a microwave.

Parking is limited.

Everything about the hotel was wonderful. I highly recommend The Hyatt Place Pasadena.

Nice place and very good service

What’s good: Beds were great, room had a nice view. Everything was very clean. Room had good lighting, plenty of outlets, and a good sized flat TV screen. Internet was easy to get onto, and speed was fine. Location of hotel is great. What’s bad: hotel has locked doors to the outside so it’s hard to get in if you haven’t already checked in and have your room card handy. Hotel only has two elevators, which proved to be quite a choke point and took patience and perseverance. Reception/front desk was staffed by only one person, meaning that any business done there required a lot of waiting. Overall, probably worth the money.

Downfall is parking is expensive.

Good location in Pasadena. Qualify corresponds with the 3 stars rating hotel. Parking overpriced for the type. Pool was what we wanted to experience, but they had it closed on the short notice for the day we wanted to use it . Rooms were ok, clean and nice appeared but not soundproofed .

Room, especially bathroom, is lovely. Condition spotless. Lobby very pretty. Free coffee.Convenient but pricey self-parking under bldg. $29. per day, w in/out privileges.

The property was very convenient for me going to a conference. There was shopping, salons and restaurants all nearby as well. It was an enjoyable place to walk around. The food at the bar/restaurant was good and the breakfast was good.

Bed was hard

A modest hotel but very clean, with attentive staff and everything a person needs at a hotel - bar, restaurant, pool and 24-hour self-check-out bistro. It's in a great location too.

Then unbeknownst to me we were charged $29 for parking! We didn't have a choice. I had also asked for a room with a tub then alas there was no tub! Part of the reason we booked this hotel. We were also not given any info for the Wi-Fi but finally figured it out at the end right before we had to leave. For such a high-priced hotel. I thought maybe there'd be some water but no.

Property is very well kept

The parking entrance if hard to spot on first pass and when you miss it must drive a mile long loop to get back. Open and cheery but sterile modern. Bar and food nominal conventional. Morning coffee tepid and weak. Go around the corner to Starbucks.

The staff was AWSOME a little over priced not to offer free breakfast or free parking. Payed for balcony that i couldn't use

Everything is perfect except that the elevator going to the parking was not working during our stay but overall we love it. Keep up the good works and kudos to Leah from the front desk. Awesome job!

Parking was not listed as an extra , but was 29$ a day When I checked in they had me for two nights . I didn’t book two nights but was impressed with the property so I stayed two nights

Good location but the pool was closed (picked this site for that reason as daughter needs for therapy). Front desk staff were not empathetic.
