Very special place. I will book this place again.

I stayed in their two-bedroom suite, which was both beautiful and spacious. We genuinely appreciated our stay. However, since the room is adjacent to the main building’s kitchen, we were unfortunately awakened early in the morning by the sounds resembling pots and pans. This was particularly disappointing, as I had hoped to escape the noise.

Private small 11 room B&B next to a marine reserve. You will love the quaintness of the property as well as the staff making sure all you needs are taken care of. Great breakfast is included in the price of the room.

Gorgeous estate with beautiful rooms, wonderful fireplace and sofas in the common area, a lovely garden, and a short walk to the coast where we watched mama seals and their new pups. Completely enchanting inn. For us, the stairs were fine (no elevator) but if you have mobility issues, ask for a room on the ground floor.

If you enjoy a relaxing atmosphere this a great place to stay. The rooms are good size and have gas fireplaces. It's located a short distance from numerous restaurants and has a number of areas for walking up on the bluff above the ocean. The staff at this boutique B&B are so nice it makes you want to come back. We've stayed at the Seal Cove Inn numerous times and any time we travel to Half Moon Bay this is our destination. We highly recommend this establishment.

I would give it 10 stars if I could. The rooms and the property are gorgeous. The short walk to seal beach with seal pups was a bonus.

Seal Cove Inn is top notch! A peaceful retreat that is welcoming and comfortable. The rooms are consistently immaculate. They are spacious and beautifully appointed, each with a toasty working fireplace! The staff are always friendly and accommodating, and knowledgeable about the property and surrounding towns. The daily breakfast selections are fresh, healthy, delicious and locally sourced. Daily freshly baked cookies are complimentary as well as a happy hour featuring a lovely selection of wine and beer. A five minute walk to the tide pools is beautiful with adjoining trails that take you through a magical grove of Monterey cypress trees! Seal Cove is my "go to" to rejuvenate and recharge my spirit!

Surrounding areas were amazing the weather was great, only small thing was that if you’re there mid day when the temperatures get high there is no AC so it could get a bit warm, but if you just open up a window or balcony like we did and it cooled down instantly. The garden was amazing and the quails, birds, squirrels and bunnies were out and about eating each morning. At night if you get cold you can turn on the gas fireplace that is in your room or turn on the heater. The entire staff was friendly and really nice and accommodating. 5/5 would stay here again for sure my girlfriend and I loved it.

The property and surrounding area was absolutely impeccable, this alone is worth the trip. Mary and all the staff members were absolutely phenomenal and made the Inn feel inviting.

Nice bed and breakfast located in a great spot near the Fitzgerald Marine Preserve. Walking distance to one restaurant which was great, great breakfast that can accommodate gluten free guests. Nice hosts that had information for things to do, and a welcome drink in the afternoon.

The adjacent Fitzgerald Marine Reserve and park are stunning; well worth multiple daily strolls. One morning I had the beach to myself except for a couple of seals bobbing in the water by the shore. The amenities at the hotel are excellent: Even the most discerning member of our group was pleased as punch. Little things like the daily breakfast (delivered to our doorstep - we had a private entrance), cookies, and wine were much appreciated. The staff was warm and welcoming. My only complaint is that the inn's excellent coffee made me aware of what I've been missing out on at home! I look forward to returning next time I'm in the area. It was a lovely and relaxing experience!

An absolutely wonderful stay! This is my second time staying here. It’s so cozy and on such a beautiful property. The staff is so kind and welcoming. The rooms are thoughtfully designed with a personal patio looking into a gorgeous garden and a fireplace. This is one of my favorite places to stay!

The preserve and trails surrounding the Seal Cove Inn are very special. The suites are elegant and fireplaces a nice touch on a cool evening. Sunset with your complimentary glass of wine along a gorgeous coastal bluff makes for great memories. Staff were attentive and friendly. Breakfast was delish and the short ride to SFO the cherry on top!

Location, location, location. Overall, the Inn was beautiful. Our room was the issue. The bathroom badly needs to be re-grouted and re-caulked. It just looked dirty. Also, there was no furniture in which to unpack. We were traveling for 10 days in total with lots of weather changes and we had to open up our packing cubes and leave them in the suitcases. No matter how organized you are, it’s chaotic trying to find something. Lastly, the little TV has no streaming and was sitting on a stand which is lower than the bed.

Facility was well-maintained lovely quiet, serene. Every person on staff with whom we engaged was warm and friendly and willing to answer questions and provide recommendations for dining away from the premises.

Location is wonderfully situated in the middle of all things Moss Beach and Half Moon Bay has to offer. There is a short hiking area located just minutes walk nearby for folks that don’t prefer to take a longer journey or just want an easy flat stroll with views of the ocean. Venus and staff are very warm, courteous, and professional. Loved the professional coffee machine and in-room breakfast option which arrived right on time and tasted very good. Warm cookies in the evening is a cute touch after we got back from sightseeing and scrolling. Recommended to bring hiking boots only because there’s a lot of walking and trails nearby.

Too many texts. It felt like as soon as you got here they were already reminding you to leave. We got a text at 8:20pm to put our sign out if we wanted our room clean. Then another one at 8:00am it is nearing your time to depart. Check out isn’t until 11am. The text woke us up.

The lady that checked us in wasn't super friendly. She seemed tired and not very welcoming.

The property is not new however it is so well maintained and clean that it is like coming home in comfort. The location is perfect to enjoy nature including a y minute walk to see seals, enjoy tide pools, and much more. All was great!

Loved the ambience. felt like I was in the Cotswalds of England. The staff was especially friendly and helpful. Appreciated all their suggestions. I was a little disappointed in the breakfast although he fruit plate was wonderful. The muffins were good. The minature fritatta type dish did not provide enough protein in my opinion. There are so many interesting breakfast casseroles that one could offer in a larger size serving.

When we first arrive, we spoke with Stacey she was amazing! She took the time to go over everything. The room was beautiful. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite full kitchen, with Keurig machine and also have a machine in the lobby, along with soft drinks etc. We would stay here again.

The location is superb along the cliffs of the Pacific. Listening to frogs, waves, and seals sing their night serenades. With a glass of complimentary California wine. A true European experience in this majestic Northern California spot.

We had a wonderful time. The Inn is just a few blocks from the highway but is secluded and peaceful. The Staff was helpful and friendly. Sharon checked us in and later poured us a glass of wine. We sat in the lovely living room to visit. Our room was clean and comfortable The breakfast, that we chose to have in the dining room was delicious. It is a short walk to the bluff and the Cypress grove and the Moss Beach Distillery. The breakfast was delicious.

I’ve stayed at the Seal Cove Inn several times and they never disappoint. Very gracious and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable, spacious room and you can hear the ocean. Lovely cliffside walking trails nearby.

It would be very difficult to find a more relaxing place to stay on the California coast. More of a place for couples and not a place to bring the kids (for the sake of those who came to enjoy the quiet and beauty of the surroundings).

We stayed in a room on the first floor with a view of the beautiful garden. There is a full coffee bar on the first floor and the room came with luxurious robes. A short walk from the property through the woods took us to a wonderful restaurant and a beautiful view of the ocean where we were able to watch the seals. We cannot wait to return to Half Moon Bay and to treat ourselves to another stay at the Seal Cove Inn!

Beautiful property! We loved the proximity to the ocean cliffs and to the Cypress trees. The surroundings were all very quiet with very little tourists/visitors. The staff was super nice and helpful, and the room and building was clean and nicely decorated.

Beautiful garden. Relaxing inn with fantastic breakfast, happy hour and cookies that will shock your granny. Def go to the distillery for dinner, just a 10 min leisurely walk. Walk the bluffs, close to some of the most beautiful beaches we’ve seen. Wish the garden had some lounging chairs/ patio furniture. The ones available were not very comfortable so you didn’t wanna sit for too long which was a shame bc it was the best part of the property. Super comfy beds. Silky sheets, water and coffee bar all day was theeeee best thing ever! This was our second trip. If you are looking for action, probs not the place for you. Very chill area to unwind and relax!!

Lovely place to stay. A bit overpriced. Breakfast was minimal grounds were relaxing in the proximity of the beach and bluff was great.

So many walking trails and wonderful scenery. Lovely garden with wildlife right outside our door. Add in a fireplace, evening cookies and wine, and a wonderful breakfast, equals a wonderful stay. Thanks

All of the breakfast choices are excellent. The Cypress Grove and coast are just a few moments walk away. You can hear the ocean from the rooms. Beautifully landscaped grounds. Friendly staff. Freshly baked chocolate chip cookies at checkin and complimentary evening glass of wine are nice touches. Easy walk to the Moss Beach Distillery for lunch, dinner, cocktails. It would be nice to have a filtered water dispenser in the common areas so one uses fewer small plastic water bottles in the rooms. Overall, highly recommended.

Beautiful location, relaxing atmosphere and extremely comfortable. Great for romantic getaway

Seal Cove Inn was very welcoming. They add lots of elements to help you enjoy your stay. But above all they provide a peaceful and serene environment to enable guests to enjoy the nearby coast and surroundings.

Only negative is they cant accommodate late checkout 11 is early

This is my favorite property of all time and I'll always return here for a visit when in town. It's hard to capture just how quaint, charming and magical this place feels - the service, the attention to detail, the coziness of it all and the surrounding landscape are truly unrivaled. NEVER CHANGE!!!

I was impressed with how friendly, personable, and accommodating the staff is. The property and grounds are beautiful! I imagine the garden outside our room's patio would be lush and more colorful in the spring or summer but we went in the winter months. I enjoyed watching the birds inc quail, bunny rabbits, and squirrels that reside in the garden while eating the delicious breakfast and coffee that they serve. I would definitely return for another romantic getaway stay at Seal Cove Inn with my husband!

Everything was ideal for a romantic getaway. Our room was comfortable with everything we needed, including cozy terry robes. The best was the ample breakfast delivered to our room, that we enjoyed in the cozy armchairs next to our fireplace. We could see the Ocean from our balcony, and enjoyed a short nature hike along the bluff and along Moss Beach.

Very quiet stay just what we wanted. The room is on the small side and there is no air control so it could get pretty stuffy at night.

I adored our short one-night stay here. We were in one of the larger suites and I especially loved the enormous bathroom and bathtub. (We came directly from a hiking trip in Yosemite and taking a bath here felt like such a luxury after that!) The forest and beach behind the hotel are so gorgeous - we went for a sunrise walk in the morning and wow, the light through the cypress trees and the pelicans overhead was just stunning. The included breakfast was delicious and delivered to our room to enjoy fireside! So nice. I hope to come back here again soon!

This was such an awesome Inn! Very romantic & quant! Will highly recommend to anyone looking for a serene quiet place to stay!

Almost perfect, but the Wifi was probably the worst I've ever seen (disconnect every 4 minutes)

After an epic road trip we treated ourselves to a night at the Seal Cove Inn; Lovely position for a short drive to San Francisco Airport but over the hills and on the coast road away from the hustle and bustle; A special stop off that makes you feel like a personal house guest, not a traveller; Add to that wine o'clock and cookies, Personalised breakfast and well stocked facilities; Just lovely

Amazing location, view, gardens, room, food. Everything was great. Very clean and comfortable, quiet and secluded, and very short walk to the ocean bluffs, beach, tide pools. Exceeded our expectations in every way.

Great location away from it all with beautiful walking trails right out the door. The staff was great, room was very nice with a sitting area in the garden right outside our sliding door. Evening wine and delicious breakfast.Sooo quiet! I will definitely come back!

Everything about this property is five stars. The staff, the facility, the location. We just LOVED our stay here. We traveled around California for 13 days and this was one of our FAVORITE evenings. The room is just lovely. The whole house is beautiful. You can walk to the beach. We had dinner at the nearby distillery just a short walk away (highly recommend!). Wonderful inn, not one complaint. Just beautiful.
