Rodeway Inn Apopka South

This is a small out of the way older property . Nothing fancy . Not so much a family fun spot and away from the crowds. It's not 5 star but it's comfortable. I have stayed here about 12 times when i go to Orlando. I return twice a year to clean my family cemetery plots not for the attractions. The husband and wife staff are very friendly. I have never seen any bugs in the rooms . And I always feel safe. A nice quiet place, inexpensive, away from the crowds, nothing fancy.

Big room, quiet The internet was not good and since the TV ran on internet the Programm stopped every 15 min and we gave up. If the TV would have worked better and an extra blanked would have been between the sheets. I would have given the place a 9 .

It is disgusting and the service was non-existent. The Lobby was continuously locked, there was no breakfast served (although breakfast is advertised), the place reeked and smelled of mustiness, and unless the AC was actively running, the entire room smelled foul and stale. It is, without hyperbole, the worst place I have ever, ever stayed in and in my opinion, they should refund my money just on the false advertising of an open lobby and breakfast. Ugh, what an awful and an awful stay.

Price The front desk administrator took my ID and credit card and went with them to another room. For what purpose? By law, he had no right to take the credit card anywhere. After this incident, I had to block the card and request a replacement. No hotel has ever done this before. This is illegal! I cannot be confident in the integrity of the front desk clerk. I kindly ask the hotel management to pay attention to this matter!

Away from the heavy traffic of tourists. Small number of rooms. Quiet. Relaxing.

It was quiet, until it wasnt. At appx 9 or 10am, all you can hear is bang, bang, bang, from the SHOOTING RANGE thats so close, you belive your in the range itself. Mind you, we were in the room side thats close to the management office which shouldnt sound so clear. Dont stay here, save your TI.E & MONEY

Just was upset cause it said the pool was working. Which it wasn't, plus no laundry mat and no vending machines like it said. But it was very clean. And the service was ok. I just won't stay there again. Thank you.

The bed was comfortable. The carpet inside the room was dirty. It explained why my feet became black.

I didn't like that the road way staff charged me twice for staying less than one night.

Location Smell in the room, sketchy parking lot -- cars with flat tires, folks sitting outside their rooms watching us unload the car, etc; the host took my ID and disappeared into a back room...very worrisome...

There wasn't a blanket just a sheet and aaa top pretty thing. The AC was on when I got there when it was only 50° outside but the heat did work

The shower head was dirty and rusted and the water hitting my face really ended up hurting my eyes. All the light switches had strange scratches on the paint. There was a car sitting outside with four flat tires. The gentleman in the office was very nice and easy and pleasent to work with.

Run down motel. The beds at least smelled clean but very old motel. I think the worst part was that they still seem to run on well water. It smelled horrible and we all felt dirty getting out of the shower. Not worth the price.

The room was ok, but had a stale odor to it. I bought some air freshener to help... But it didnt that great. Towels were not great. Overall i would say a 4 out of 10

This was the worse place I ever stayed. If your going to stay please bring your own wash rag because they didn’t supply us with any This place looked like drug dealers were hanging out. I haveNothing against drug dealers but that wasn’t what I paid for. I give this place a thumbs down

I usually don't stay at Rodeway. I did reserve this one due to price and location. We arrived around 2 AM. I had to wait quite awhile for someone to come the window, but that may be expected in small motel like this with limited staff. To change from a mistakenly ordered smoking unit to the preferred non-smoking too quite awhile, but was done. The beds were comfortable and the room clear. Older bathroom fixture and furnishing were to be expected. There was ample parking, the bed was comfortable and the price was right. I might stay there again if I need accommodations in this area.We did not eat there for breakfast.

This property has recently undergone a facelift, Fresh paint inside and out ect. The room was clean but smelled a little musty. The staff was pleasant and polite. Room price was reasonable at $88.99 per night. I would stay here again.

I was pulling a large trailer and there was NO WHERE to go because you enter and then stop...ends at the building, so you are stuck there with a large truck or a trailer...

Rented a room that slept four, the room had 2 double beds, during check in, he asked me how many people in my party, I said 3, he charged me an additional $67 for the third person, if I hadn't worked all day and was tired, I would of found a different hotel. We settled in, kept hearing a loud concussion sound all day, come to find out this hotel is right next to a shooting range. Then on the second day of working in the heat all day, come back to the room at 4:00 and they haven't even cleaned our room. For a room that sleeps four, the shower was only equipped with 2 towels, made another trip to the office, I wasn't happy with this location from check in, I should of left. I travel a lot... I stay at some real shot holes but this place takes the cake. I tried to change rooms (which I never do) to get away from the backed up sewer smell. The beds are wore out with sheets that are questionable to say the least. I could go on and on... Travel here with an open mind!

Arrive there people watch you until,you enter the hotel then my guess was there only because she bought me and kids.they call me as soon as we enter the room to tell me i have to many people in the room.

Rodeway Inn is in a perfect location for our overnight stay. I'm glad I made reservations Friday night. It was the weekend of the NFL Pro-bowl game in Orlando. Needless to say, motel rooms were quickly being snapped up. Rodeway Inn provided us a clean, quiet room for my wife and I in a location that was far enough away from the game and yet close enough to travel to the family gathering we had planned in Apopka. The gentleman behind the counter (I didn't catch his name) was courteous and prompt at processing our reservation. He walked me through the television channel and wi-fi navigation. Everything worked just as he described. The room is a little out-dated in style, but it was clean and the beds were comfortable. The air conditioner in room 215 is in fine working order...and quiet, too. We couldn't even hear the highway traffic from inside our room. We had made breakfast plans, so I can't comment on the breakfast offerings in the dining room. Our stay at the Apopka Rodeway Inn was an overall very pleasant experience.

We pulled them off the beds and inspected them to find they were severely stained with what looked like bodily fluids and did not smell fresh. Comforter and sheets had black ash spots and holes. Bathroom door was also not properly hinged and would not close, additionally the bottom of it was coming apart. Carpet was sticky and although we had a "non-smoking" room it smelled of smoke. Maybe we just got unlucky and this is the worst room on property, but I won't be going back.

Even with a reservation through Expedia, they gave my room away. Which is absolutely ridiculous to find out at 4:00 in the morning when you have been driving all night. When I tried to show the guy in office my reservation, he proceeded to scream at me. I will never stay at this hotel again. Period!

My son and i really enjoyed our stay. Clean and cozy, if you need it just ask any of the great staff always walking the property. Good choice for the price

Carpet and tiles in the room were filthy. We wear socks when staying and they were dark black in a matter of minutes. Only 2 bath towels were provided so we had to ask each day for additional towels. Even then they would not give any extra just the amount for the room guest that were registered.

I want to say that my stay there was perfect, because I was treated with great kindness and the staff there is a blessing. Thank you all for giving me a great place to stay and I will come back each and every time. God bless them all

I want to say that my stay there was perfect, because I was treated with great kindness and the staff there is a blessing. Thank you all for giving me a great place to stay and I will come back each and every time. God bless them all

The room was musty and smelled like smoke even though I did ask for a non smoking room. There was a mans sock in the room by the table. The table was dirty an sticky. There was visible mold on the floor of the bathroom. There was a big stain on the bed spread when we flipped it over. If it wasn't late my husband and I would have tried to find somewhere else to stay. I will never stay there again and I will encourage others not to either.

The pool is locked with a key, so you need to find someone to unlock it for you if you want to use it. It is very small and there is nothing but the motel wall and the highway to look at on either side. The breakfast that was supposed to be included was gone by 8:30 am. When I checked out, they wanted an extra $20 for a pet fee that no one told me about when I booked it.If you just need a place to sleep and don't have a pet, it's OK. Just OK.

The staff was very nice and the hotel is clean. The housekeeping just needs to stock the rooms better so you dont have to call for cups, coffee or toilet paper. Other than that I would stay there again.

What a nightmare. I won't stay here again. the room smelt musty, there were roaches and ants in the room on the second night and their so called breakfast was coffee, toast and cereal with a big sign to only take 1 item per guest. I stayed here before but now with new owners, I won't be back. Lots of issues, was supposed to stay 3 nights had to cancel the last night.

The place was okay - not one I would recommend to anyone. Breakfast was small choices, English muffins and cereal with a sign 1 per person. The cleaning service was lousy. Did not dump coffee pot, only emptied one trash can and only pulled the sheets up on the bed, did not make it. The floor was dirty in the bath area.

We checked in and out within 90 minutes, we would of checked out immediately but it was Daytona Race weekend and we were afraid we might not find anything else available, The room was disgusting, dirty, and reeked of cigarette smoke. the door also was in poor shape, not wanting to close properly. I booked this room online and soon found out what a mistake that was upon our arrival. I would invite any owner, co-owner, management to check out the condition of room 213 that was given to us. My husband and I also could detect a very strong marijuana odor from the upper balcony as well.

Chose this motel because it was all that was available because of the Daytona 500. 2-night stay. As a result the room was higher than wanted or would have been during a non-event; even though I was 40 miles away. Older units, but had mini-frig, microwave, and WiFi. Breakfast was slim, with signs stating "only one serving per guest", or "if you did milk ask for it". Housekeeping seemed to miss a bag of dumped chips in my room from a previous guest. No stopper in the bathtub/shower. Outlet for coffeemaker was not working. Expedia rated it too high.I would rate it 3/4 to 1-star.
