Home2 Suites by Hilton Orlando Near Universal

We enjoyed the breakfast, particularly the egg bites, the room was clean, and most of the staff was polite/friendly. However, we encountered a very rude front desk staff member both during our evening check-in and when we arrived back late to the hotel one night. There was no parking spot in the lot available for us that night, and we asked what to do and received a very rude response of “have you ever parked at the curb? Like at someone’s house?” and other short, sarcastic remarks. I definitely can understand someone having an off day but having encountered the same person twice with a similar level of rudeness - it was very off putting and needs to be addressed. The property also needs to sort out their parking issue, as there should be enough spots for guests and we shouldn’t have had to create our own spot at a curb in the lot. We were concerned about being in a fire lane, etc. The only response received from the front desk staff member when concerns about towing were brought up was a very short “I don’t call tow on anyone.” Okay… so you can also guarantee no one else would? And that we aren’t in a fire lane or in the way of a delivery? It’s been a long time since I’ve encountered someone that rude working at a hotel, and I’ve stayed in many.

Great customer service by the team! There is an issue with finding parking and people parking anywhere they want in the parking lot management might want to fix.

Excellent location very close to universal. Clean, spacious room with a well equipped kitchenette. Good breakfast. We had an excellent stay here and the pool was great for cooling down after the parks.

I always enjoy staying at the Home2 suites.

Very inexpensive for the time we were there (not peak) and met the need for a place to stay for one quick night, so ultimately it was fine but if you are staying multiple nights for a vacation, I recommend choosing a different property as the building is a bit old and the customer service was hit and miss.

We liked how close Universal was from the property. Some of the amenities offered were not available like the shuttle service. You have to book 24 hr in advance at the sister hotel in person. Breakfast was a nice touch.

The hotel was in a great location. Close to Universal and close to I-4. The room was spacious and parking was easy. They had great coffee that you could get anytime of the day.

Room is clean, staff are helpful. Condition of the hotel is a little bit old. It would be great if the caulking can be fixed in bathroom. And I don't see mini safe in room.

This hotel is in the perfect spot. Close to a ton of stores and is always comfortable and very clean. I come here every year and I’ve never had a complaint.

The breakfast was just okay . Food wasn’t warm . One day there was French toast and it was so hard you couldn’t cut it. There were some kids getting food and not using the utensils. They were just using their hands and the staff said nothing . We tried it a few times during our 6 day stay but opted to walk down the street to IHOP. The pool was great and very clean . The hotel description was very misleading, it stated that the universal city walk was just a 12 minute walk from the hotel . That is true if you are just walking to the Universal sign . The actual city walk is about a 40 minute walk . The hotel was okay but would most likely not choose to stay again .

Everything was great but be aware if staying with toddlers! My toddler as any other has tantrums and I had people banging on my walls, one crazy man even called the paramedics and the front desk allowed them to come to my room and never notified me of such. Manager and front desk Teresa were the best but be aware of overnight staff, the one I encountered expected me to shut my toddler up instead of offering some kind of help or compassion. Again the stay was nice and overall staff were nice but just make sure you’re not placed next to menace. Also Make sure you have your room key, our 17 year old forgot his and walked out to the pool at night to talk to his gf and front desk locked the door and would not let him back in.

Place was clean and hospitality. Perfect location to restaurants , and universal park. Pills where not good so take your own. Sofa bed mattress needed to be replace was old and dirty.

The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Rooms were soundproof and large! The water pressure for the shower was better than in my house! Very clean and fresh smell. No Marijuana smell! Close to Universal and a short drive to other theme parks! I recommend this hotel to everyone! Definitely will be staying here again! The breakfast bar could have had fresh eggs not frozen.

The rooms were big and clean and fit the purpose of our trip. I was surprised with a variety of the breakfast that was included. I would deathly stay here again. It was also close to everything. A tourist could eat in Orlando. Universal Disney Springs the outlet malls all a few minutes away.

Every thing was great except only having one working dryer in the whole place. It took almost three hours (2100-2355) to do one load of laundry because of the only one dryer. The couple that started their laundry 3 minutes before me had three loads to dry.

Breakfast was great. The ability to schedule shuttles to Universal Epic Universe and Universal Islands of Adventures. Also have shuttles available to bring me back to our hotel. Staff is friendly and available when needed. Definitely clean room.

The hotel is located near all Universal parks and is Publix and Walgreens...I always seem to need something from either store. As with all Home2 Suites by Hilton, the convenience of a studio room with a stocked kitchenette is immeasurable.

Cons - the place needs some money invested into it. The bed and pillows were terrible. The wall paper in the room was peeling up, so it was stapled back down. The breakfast food was horrendous (sausage undercooked, other items tasted old and reheated)

Do not stay here – it is unsafe! Two items were stolen from a room with an interconnecting door whilst they were out. The police attended and raised concerns about this door. My two young adult daughters were guests, and what should have been the holiday of a lifetime has now been ruined.

Property is less than 5 min from Universal. Rooms are clean and well kept. Full breakfast with good coffee. Traffic can get crazy in that area but it’s right by a park that’s to be expected! I’ll definitely be back we enjoyed our stay!

I got a king suite room & as we entered the room, it smelled very bad . We went back to the front desk, unfortunately they were sold out of our room & offered us a studio room, which was smaller and cheaper then the room we paid for. I was not given compensation for the price difference, just a take it or leave it. I unfortunately booked it thru expedia and called to have it taken care of. Which expedia tried to call several times to the property manager for compensation or redued cost to no avail. Would never stay there again. Vary disappointed, & yes we were happy at other locations of Home2 by hilton.

We have stayed at many Hilton properties. This is one of the nicest in which we’ve stayed. We received daily room service. The room was very clean. Breakfast was descent for free. We experienced no issues. The location is extremely convenient to Universal but not so much to Disney. Would definitely stay here again!

I'm definitely a fan of Home2 Suite. The amenities and services are not over the top, but just perfect for my family. For me, the highest priority is cleanliness and security. We don't need a butler or would want to pay for one!

I booked this hotel for our universal studios trip and it was such great stay. Everything was so clean and staff were very attentive. Breakfast included, parking was free and offered shuttle transportation to universal. Highly recommend!

My family spent seven nights here and we were definitely pleased with our stay. The staff are warm and friendly. Breakfast is served on time and while i may have liked some more options, for the price it was perfect. The area is easily accessible to both parks and shopping areas.

The resort is really good the room are so big and nice. The amenities they are very convenient and the kitchen amazing. The gym and the pool were clean and organized. They have coffee all the time. Themis hotel is extremely close to the Universal Studios parks.

There was nothing I can say I did not like. Everything was clean, spacious, and the staff was great. It’s in a great location where everything is close. So many different food options near by. There are a lot of close attractions by both walking and driving. We will definitely be back!

The staff were lovely—friendly and attentive—and the free breakfast offered enough variety to start each day off right. I really valued the 24-hour tea and coffee station in the lobby, and the free parking and laundry facilities made our stay even more convenient. One of the biggest perks for me was being able to ship packages to the hotel without incurring any extra fees. It made things so much easier. Overall, another comfortable and hassle-free stay. We’ll definitely be back!

I only have two critiques: I think you need to consider adding fast chargers for people who are renting EVs and I think, if possible, you should incorporate a small playground.

This was my 2nd business trip to Florida and the staff has always been super welcoming and accommodating. Every business trip I take in the future, I expect to stay here.

Spacious and great amenities. Enough space family and extras including dishes, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, etc. Only (not a complaint, more a suggestion)..better variety of breakfast options. Esp for vegetarians. Overall wonderful stay.

We were looking for a safe in the room but we didn’t find one, no biggie though. Room set-up is really home-y w/availability of kitchen stuff like plates, glasses, utensils, etc. Staff are nice. Hotel could use updating but cleanliness is on point. Plenty of parking. Breakfast food is good. Pool is decent size for morning laps. We didn’t use them but it was good to know they have a gym and laundry area.

The breakfast buffet was the same offerings practically every day so it got old after a weeks stay, basically fixings for breakfast sandwiches, waffles, & cereal. This hotel has no restaurants or food offerings other than the breakfast buffet. The free universal shuttle that was advertised had to be reserved at another hotel across the street and offered very limited times and seats available. Ended up using Lyft for our Universal excursions.

The polite, humble, and precious staff! Ftom the front desk to dining to your environmental, they were extremely professional. I appreciated how well each of them carried themselves in uniform, hair nice and neat and had spirits that displayed they love what they do! We felt safe. Tha pool areacwas kept ckean and beautiful, very inviting! Should my travel send me again that way, Home2 will be my home away from home again. The breakfast is off the chain!!

The only downside was the laundry They recommended to their sister hotel across the street . To say that this is a Hilton hotel chain says something completely different then what I experienced . You need a key card after a certain time to get into the building. I waited for the door to open and the guy saw me and he took about 5 minutes to open the door. When I explained the situation and asked where their laundry facility is located he told me he didn’t know . The janitor had to answer where the laundry was located. We walk to the elevators and the janitor runs to us to tell us that it broken . (It would have been nice if the front desk guy could’ve told us that to being with and point us in the right direction). Mind you I asked him if I could get a key card or if I needed a key card to get in the laundry he said no. We get upstairs and we need a key to get into the laundry. A guest lets us in and there is no power button on the washer . I used the phone to call the front office to ask where the start button was and his exact was were “I have no idea”. Another man came in (no uniform) just black pants and shirt . Nothing about who he was nor hotel logo. (Which I feel like is very unsafe because I’m not sure who he is )He didn’t know how to work the washer either. Needless to say I spent 2 hours of my time and $3.00 of my money just to WASH ONE load of

It was amazing. The staff was very attentive and friendly. My family and friends had a great time. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

Stay was nice but pillows in room were horrible. Everything else was great.

Nice & spacious. I loved this hotels location & the price was great. The one fact I did not like was that pets are welcome to all rooms. I think there should be few room or a top floor for room no pets for people with allergies & just as an option. :) great hotel! Great location!!!

Good clean hotel

Universal parks. Breakfast was good though monotonous after a few days but excellent options. Multiple restaurants nearby and safe parking. The universal shuttle doesn’t stop at this property so we either had to catch it across the road or behind this hotel (four point hotel). Also they don’t have reservations desk at this property so had to walk across to other one. Rooms are good with kitchenette. Overall a good option to visit Universal and Sea world parks

The hotel needs some TLC, also i understand pet friendly is a thing now, but please use a floor fot that and don't mux the guest who don't like the smell of dog.
