Reviews

Some guests also mentioned finding bugs in their rooms and smelling cigarettes.

This in particular inn and suites, is one of my absolute favorites, when I'm in town. The location is great. Its near theme parks , malls, near my favorite restaurants, and International Drive. They also have security, which is always great to have. The rooms are absolutely beautiful. Having to leave was the worst part.

My wife and I stayed at the Clarion Inn Orlando for 2 nights, and it was a complete nightmare. After checking in at 6 PM and returning from dinner, we found our toilet flush completely broken. At 11:30 PM, I called the front desk. The night staff, **Raul**, was incredibly rude and dismissed us, claiming the hotel was fully booked. With shocking audacity, he handed me a plunger and told me to clean and fix it myself. I spent an hour arguing with him, explaining that my wife is pregnant and urgently needs a working restroom. Only after this exhausting ordeal did he miraculously "find" a vacant room in our same block. If the hotel was fully booked, why did he lie and force us to beg for an hour just to get a functional room? The next morning, we escalated the issue to the manager, **James**, expecting professionalism. Instead, his response was delusional. He stated that *"99% of guests who stay with us have to plunge the toilets themselves"* and refused to admit any fault. If management knows their plumbing is completely failing, why are they renting these rooms to paying customers? To make matters worse, the room's refrigerator barely worked, which we found out is a widespread issue here. The sheer hostility from Raul and the total lack of accountability from James are a disgrace. This hotel is poorly maintained and completely unprofessional. **Do not book a room here.**

- 3/5
The room was tidy and clean; however, the lighting is poor—the lamps are small, and the light in the shower is very dim. The beds are comfortable, although the sheets had a strong odor. I would have given it a higher rating if they offered breakfast. It is located in an accessible area, close to everything.
- 3/5
Dirty and uncomfortable, but staff were very helpful and kind.
- 4/5
I stayed here for the New Year’s 2026 celebration. It’s a perfect place within walking distance of Universal Orlando Resort, with friendly front desk staff. The room included a TV, refrigerator, iron, and coffee maker. Nice pool view. Free parking. There is a connecting door to the neighboring room, and the sound insulation is poor. A microwave, smart TV, and a more modern coffee machine would be a nice addition. The bathroom fan is also noticeably noisy.

Super close to universal, clean rooms. Fairly quiet, over all good stay

- 4/5
It’s in a great location, facilities are good, and it was very good value for money for the area in which it’s in. Staff were friendly and helpful, and it was nice to have a small shop on property so we didn’t have to visit a grocery store throughout our stay. Would highly recommend staying here if you’re trying to do Orlando on a budget. We couldn’t have asked for any place better. The rooms felt a bit dated but we knew that before we stayed there. There was a faint odour of marijuana in our room but nothing overpowering and you could only smell it close to the bathroom.

It was one lady there that was very polite and I believe she was a manager in the morning time. She was a very polite lady. The Night Shift crew at this place is horrible absolutely horrible. The security lies and doesn’t do their job and the night shift manager or the Night Shift employee that works at the front desk. He’s a man with extremely dismissive and manipulative.

Decent location. Staff were polite and nice. Harsha at Tabla cafe was sweet and welcoming. Enjoyed the food at Tabla Cafe. Room cleanliness can definitely be better. Barely any lights in the room, a little dark.
- 3.5/5
The room was clean, an updated for a value hotel. The common areas, hall ways, stairs and common areas between buildings needed tlc, and some pressure cleaning.
- 4/5
My front door seemed broken. Didn't close all the way
- 5/5
We stayed here nine days over a two week period and it’s a great option for visiting Universal. They do offer a shuttle twice a day each direction, though we found it walkable for the trip back after our park visits. It’s clean and fresh - while it is an older complex, they have clearly continued to maintain and update. We recommend and will stay here again. Oh bonus for free parking!
- 1/5
They would not let me stay in their hotel because I was a “local” due to me being 36 miles away and not 40. It was terrible! I had to find last minute accommodations for my trip.
- 1/5
Creepy hotel bunch of things were not working or kept turning on by it’s own. I would not recommend. My friends and I felt unsafe.

Nice facility, excellent restraunts and menu selection.

Location is great for universal access. Decent room size in the suite we had. Run down, dated decor, property not maintained well, tiny pillows. Water was shut off due to a pipe broken in another room. Had to leave hotel for another since problem was not fixed after waiting several hours. Property made me contact Booking in order to get a refund. Refund was prompt tho

No elevator
- 5/5
The hotel was very clean, convenient, and the amenities were nice. The pool was so nice and their cafe on site was also nice. My only qualm is I wish there was a microwave in the rooms. Great stay especially given the price!
- 4/5
Room smelled very clean on arrival. Didn’t love 4pm check in but they Had our room ready for us hour and a half in early after calling and asking. Clean no issues with anything like that. Great water pressure in shower. Most staff very friendly except one. Plenty of parking. Loved courtyard view. 20 minute normal paced walk to Citywalk. Quiet, safe. Didnt use shuttle to parks Tight sink space-used to larger double sinks at Disney so stuff was all over the place. Tub slippery when showering. Hot tub not working. one evening when we called to ask for towels and then we went down and got them ourselves. Housekeeping service little inconvenient - we didn’t want it necessarily but didn’t know how to go about having our towels collected and new ones brought. So by the end we had a mountain of towels under the sink area. No fan in shower/bathroom which made it steam up badly and no ventilation
- 5/5
Perfect location, close to a lot of restaurants and attractions!
- 2.5/5
Loved that it was really close to Universal Studios. Beds weren't very comfortable. Housekeeping didn't come at all in the 5 days we were there. However, it was just a place to sleep and it was decent for that.
- 3/5
The shower didn't work properly, very low pressure.
- 3/5
Our room wasn’t what was advertised, and that amounted to a disappointing outcome. Our water temperature was nearly impossible to get warm enough in the early morning and afternoon; it only worked well at night if ever. The table wasn’t sturdy. The AC blew air across me too much that it made me cold at night even if I adjusted the temperature upward. The refrigerator made noise 24/7. The volume control on the TV was ridiculously slow. The road noise was unbearable. The price wasn’t worth the downsides of the stay. I don’t recommend your hotel at the price (nearly $100) I paid for that room.

Good room and nice staff!
- 4/5
The pictures definitely make this look more like a hotel. It is actually more like a motel/inn with outside doors and in front parking. Lobby and amenities were nice. Staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean and updated. Just wanted a more hotel like experience.
- 4/5
There was not a complimentary breakfast but the Cafe and Staff were excellent.
- 3/5
The breakfast menu was ok. Nothing amazing but you get what you pay for.
- 5/5

Great location, clean rooms, plenty of parking. Overall great great value of you're planning on doing activities in the area. You can hear your neighbors so bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper.
- 2/5
GREAT Location! It's 1 mile outside of universal. The hotel also has a free shuttle service that takes people twice a day and twice at night back to the hotel. The cafe inside the hotel was great. Lots of breakfast, lunch and dinner options and fairly fast service. Our bed was so hard and uncomfortable. There were no outlets on the right side of the bed. We did not have any hot water in our shower or sink. When we called the front desk to inform them of our lack of hot water, they said they would "call maintenance," and nothing was fixed. We were there for 4 nights with cold showers.
- 5/5
The room was clean and the pool and outdoor areas great. For the price.. i was impressed. Very close to Universal and the restaurant on site had very good Indian food

I liked that there is always someone at the front desk. Check-in went smoothly at 1:00 AM, handled by Raúl. The room was super clean and spacious, and the bathroom was comfortable. I didn't see any vending machines to buy water or snacks, but they have a restaurant next to the front desk with an extensive Indian food menu.
- 3/5
Nice location and great shuttle service to Universal. Staff was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable.
- 2/5
Unfortunately, the condition of the property did not match the photos online. The layout is more motel-style, with exterior room doors, thin walls, and windows facing the parking lot, which made the stay feel less comfortable and not as safe as expected. When we arrived, the room did not appear to have been properly cleaned. There were visible stains on the sheets and pillowcases, and the toilet seat had not been cleaned (dry pee on seat). After a long day of travel, this was very disappointing. Because of these concerns, we chose to leave a day early and forfeit the final night of our reservation in order to stay elsewhere. After leaving, we received a message warning that additional fees could apply if we did not vacate by 11am, despite the fact that we had already paid for that final night and were simply choosing not to use it. Based on our experience, we would not choose to stay here again.

This is my second time in this hotel, it has a great location and price if you are visiting universal Orlando theme parks. This hotel features a shuttle to island of adventures and universal studios but not for Epic universe (important!), you need to book it 24hrs in advance and I recommend to arrive in front of their gym 10min before if you want to ensure a seat, they allow passengers standing. They have an small cafe that serves fresh breakfast (eggs, vegan, wraps) and opens early morning, as well as a Indian restaurant for lunch/dinner. Also walking distance from Fridays and other small cafes. Rooms and beds are comfy, but they are dated and carpets might be an issue for allergic folks, a/c must remain power on to avoid humidity smell.

The beds are rock hard! If you have a tough time with hard beds do not stay here. I felt like I was sleeping on concrete. My kids felt the same way. Great location to the parks but not really walking distance as the site may suggest.

Clean and quiet
- 4/5
Clean and quiet but a strong air freshener scent.
- 5/5
Perfect location next to Universal Studios. Some people were upset that there was not a continental breakfast, but the list of amenities clearly states that breakfast is available for a fee.
- 4/5
Room is dated but clean. Lots of parking around the property allows you to park close to your room. Very close to Universal.
- 5/5
Bed was comfy and room great, very clean and great decor. Loved the purple walls and headboard.
- 5/5
Clean and modern decor
- 5/5
Very nice well kept up hotel with brand new air conditioning systems.. they even have an actual restaurant on property and the six dollar Uber to Universal Studios. Excellent location… extremely clean the owner and property managers to an excellent job… I stay at hotels all the time well worth booking with them.. I don’t usually leave reviews, but it was a pleasure doing business with them..
- 5/5
Our stay was amazing! Clean, spacious room with two refrigerators. Only suggestion: add a microwave!!! So close to the park. Will be staying again!
- 5/5
It’s literally right across from Universal Studios! Very easy to find and get to…the only con is not having a microwave
- 3/5
The motel is within walking distance to universal, probably the closest of any non universal hotel. It's probably 15 minutes away, looks closer but due to the manner of travel it is further than appears. It has a nice pool. Most amenities you would need and a non universal shuttle. Shuttle is 8 and 1115 to universal and 530 and 815 returns to hotel. We were there 4 days and never had hotel service but obtained more towels by asking front desk. Speaking of towels, they were better than the puny white see through ones at other bargain hotels.

25-min walk to City Walk. With just a 1- night stay, my wife and I checked in early, spent 5 hours at the park, then had the whole next day to spend at the park as well. Clean, nicely managed, great front desk staff. All staff were friendly.

I really thought this hotel was great for the money. The staff were so friendly and helpful at the front desk and at the restaurant. The pool was nice for this level of hotel with a little zero entry area and really nice cushions on the chairs. And there was a free shuttle to universal twice a day. And it’s only a 20 minute walk if those times don’t work out for you. We also enjoyed the café and the Indian food. The only slight slight thing I didn’t love was how dark the room was (my daughter actually liked that part😂) and the pillows were not the greatest quality ever. But that was very minor and I will definitely be back!
- 5/5
great location! Food and pool were fabulous!
- 5/5
As Universal passholders, we travel to Orlando once a month. Clarion Inn and Suites will always be our go-to place to stay. Not only is Tabla (the Indian restaurant attached to the hotel) worth the drive alone, Clarion is consistently clean and accommodating. A quick 15 minute walk to the park saves us $40 a day on parking as well as the hassle of going through the normal security line. The beds are comfortable, the hot tub and pool are also clean and refreshing. I only wish that the rooms didn't have carpeting- but that's a personal preference! See you next month!!

Moldy bathroom door that could not be closed. Person at front desk seemed unwell snd was huffing straight rubbing alcohol and sweating. I was concerned for her and asked if she was ok. She maybe had the flu and should have been sent home. The room was big. My kids were pretty sure they were going to be killed here. But on the plus side it took three minutes to get to Universal so there is that. My son threatened to sleep in the car.
- 5/5
From entering the building, staff was friendly and helpful, super clean and smell fresh. This is my second time stay in there and will stay again.
- 3/5
The staff was nice. The biggest issue is that there is zero sound proofing between the walls. The people next to us had a bird and a dog which we could hear until really late and we could hear them talking and watching TV. The bed was ok, but the pillows are really tiny. For the price it was good. Easy location to find.

I enjoyed my stay immensely. A nice relaxing time. Wonderful pool area. The hot tub could have been a little larger, or perhaps a second one as they were very crowded, but that's a minor thing. I was put off by the bar prices. One expects inflated prices at a resort hotel, but when one shot of Bourbon costs when an entire bottle can be purchased for you're getting a little ridiculous. Nevertheless, it's a resort hotel, and I guess they're all like this in Orlando.

Very nice hotel. The rooms were very clean on arrival and it is very close to Universal Studios. I would've given them 5 stars but they never cleaned our room. We kept waiting and they never came. A pamphlet said they clean every 3 days and then another paper said you have to request them to come and clean. Not a big deal but just a little weird to us.

Saw 2-3 roaches in the room first day, tried to change my hotel but everywhere else was fully booked. Also called for cleaning 2nd day and they showed up late in the afternoon which I was already back and tired so they just changed the towels.

Room was damp and musty, Shower fixtures were loose and rattled against the tile, tile was installed very poorly, road noise from the interstate was so loud it was hard to sleep. Broken towel holders and everything seems to have a stickiness about all the surfaces. I primarily used the room to sleep and shower, but if i had to stay longer and work from my room I would have requested another room or changed stay locations. price was good but maybe this is the reason for the reasonable rate.

Morning staff at checkout was wonderful! Clean, older but updated room. Comfortable beds. Nice large hot tub with late hrs for nursing your toes after a day at the parks. Excellent location for Universal goers. Breakfast croissant in lobby cafe surprisingly great!!

Room was okay nothing special. Hotel definitely felt privately owned. Didn’t have the comfort of a chain environment. Gym was not open 24 hours. Tissues in room were empty.

Room was in pretty run down condition. There were holes in one of the walls, carpet floor felt moist/sticky. Beds were super hard & uncomfortable. The positive is that it’s just a short uber ride away from Universal parks. We were only there to sleep at night so we made do, but I wouldn’t choose this location again.

Older hotel that has been updated. It is only two stories, and your door opens to the outside. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. This is right across the street from Universal Studios and much less than the hotels in the area. We will definitely stay here when we return. A gem!

Staff was excellent! We showed up early in the am, to drop off our luggage - but I asked if we were able to check into a room. No problem! They accommodated us without a blink. For an older hotel, the location to Universal was our pick and the vibe was great.

the family suite was clean and newly rennovated. we used the shuttle for universal, that was great as well. the food and bar was good. only issue we had was house keeping didn’t clean, bring new towels or take trash out for our 4 day stay.. we had to get our own towels every evening and take our trash out. I would stay again if they rectified the house keeping issue.

Was a good stay, the rooms are cozy and clean, the staffs was kind and we did check-in earlier. Great location too
- 4/5
The room was very clean, and the sleep was comfortable. I definitely recommend.
- 2/5
No communication about the shuttle to and from Universal. We had to pay for a Lyft there and back because apparently Clarion is with a new shuttle service that has limited times. And when I asked hotel staff how we catch the bus to get back from Universal, they were not helpful. Ended up taking a shuttle to Doubletree once and walking the rest of the way. The curtains on the windows are see through. The room was decent but stuffy. The towels were stained. Will not be staying again.
- 4/5
Room was clean and smelled fresh. Staff the guy at front desk was okay, no problem.
- 4/5
Clean room, reponsive staff, park shuttle and on site café were great. The hot tub was luke warm or i would give it 5 stars.
- 3/5
Super close to universal. One of the most affordable places in the area and you get what you pay for. Beds are rock hard but the place was very clean. A small cafe, a restaurant, and a bodega are connected to the motel which is super convenient. Does have free shuttles but the times aren’t super useful (8am OR 11am pick up to the parks and only 5:30 pm return time) so we still used Uber most of the time.
- 4/5
Room was clean not bad at all except for the beds it felt like sleeping on wood planks
- 5/5
Yes
- 1/5
The door wouldnt close correctly and felt unsafe. The front desk attendant acted put out to be asked a single question. The heat wouldnt work and when we asked to have it fixed the second day while we were away they set it to 86 and left the room sweltering. The proximity to the highway made sleep impossible. I dont recommend anyone stay here unless they make repairs and updates.
- 1/5
When I called the front desk to ask if it was normal to find cockroaches I was first told no and that they could look at it later or in the morning. And then hung up. So I went to the front counter to ask and they offered a new room which we did take. But they were cagey. Other reviews confirm that this is fairly normal for this motel. Yes it's a motel not a hotel. The place is pretty rundown and exhibits the landlord special at every corner. Old texture painted over enough times that I'm sure the square footage of the room has been reduced. I would pay about $70 a night to stay here and maybe feel okay with it if it weren't for the cockroaches. This place is about 30 years behind a renovation. And come at me with your claims you don't have cockroaches. I took photos on your floor in the bathroom and on your crappy hardwood vinyl planks. I have GPS stamped images on your specific flooring. Come at me bro. When we got to our second room, The bathroom door won't close because the hinges are rusted and the door jamb has settled enough that you have to physically push the flex the door hinge. Most people would not be capable closing the door. 0.8 out of 10
- 3/5
We just stayed overnight after a cruise. It was clean. There was a lot of road noise and noise from our neighboring room.
- 2/5
Location was convenient to Universal Studios and the general area.

- 5/5
Yes the room was spotless and lobby staff were all awesome!

Really good hotel except for the showers lol. Not hot enough
- 3/5
I went with this hotel over another because i was excited for the hot tub..although it was luke warm at best.. we phoned the front desk multiple times about it during our 3 night stay but nothing was done. The room was very nice though and the hotel shuttle to Universal was great!
- 3/5
Staff was very friendly and kind but whoever was in the room next to us would not let us sleep - extremely loud music at 2AM.
- 5/5
The restaurant in the Hotel was great, love the food. Breakfast wasn't free. I paid for both of the croissants I ate. The bus to Universal Studios was need as I wanted to go and come back from the team whit out paying for additional transportation to the park. The room was as I expected. Worth the price.

Was great.
- 4/5
Yes the rooms were very clean and everyone was very helpful and nice, and location was right at the entrance of universal!
- 4/5
The room was clean. Staff was courteous. The location was pretty good for what we wanted to do in Orlando. I could hear a lot of noise from my room of other guest coming and going and that made it hard to sleep. Also the first shower I took the water was not very warm. I had a long flight and wanted to take a nice hot shower and it was not, however when I got up early on another day the shower was hot.
- 1/5
This motel is very misleading. Do not waste your time. We walked in, and knew we were not going to stay here. We booked this location the morning of because we decided on a last minute trip to universal and figured since there was a free shuttle advertised, we would take advantage of it and stay here. Well lo and behold, you have to book the shuttle 24 hours in advance, but that is not displayed anywhere in the property details, otherwise we would have just stayed elsewhere knowing that our trip wasn’t even planned 24 hours in advance. The price you pay to stay here is comparable to many other hotels that are MUCH nicer and well kept. We attempted to resolve at the property, but they said we had to go through hotels.com because that’s who we booked through. We called hotels.com and after speaking with several different customer service associates, they said it was up to the hotel whether or not they allow us to cancel and the request takes up to 72 hours to process. They refused to let me speak with upper management to try to expedite the process since we were discussing a hotel for the same night, not three days later. It wasn’t until the next day that the hotel declined our cancelation/refund request and we didn't even stay here. Save yourself the time, hassle, and money and stay somewhere worth it, as this place is not
- 5/5
Clean, Great restaurants, centrally located
- 2/5
Staff was nice but a little unclean on one of the beds
- 5/5
Really good value hotel!
- 5/5
Room was clean. Check in was easy & he was so kind.
- 4/5
The rooms were up to date and comfortable. Very clean and functional. The water pressure was good. The mattresses were comfortable but the pillows need to be fuller, they were extremely flat. The pool and Jacuzzi were great. It was too cold for the pool (not heated) temp was in the 40s but the hot tub was great!! Both clean and clear!! Would 100% recommend easy to get to and close to everything. Walking distance to outlets was a huge plus. The TV was not the most up to date but would recommend a firestick or roku since we couldn't sync our devices.
- 4/5
The room was nice and clean. We stayed on the end closest to the highway, so there was some road noise, but it didn’t bother us or keep us from sleeping. Light sleepers may want to request a room on the opposite side. The shuttle to the park was very convenient, and we used it both to and from the park. I enjoy coffee at all times, so I really appreciated the coffee pot and supplies provided in the room. We would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
No breakfast
- 5/5
Everything was clean. Check in was easy. Location was great. Just know if you use the shuttle to go/return from Universal, Clarion isn’t the only hotel being serviced. After a long day at the park, even though we were the closest hotel, we were the 2nd stop. And there was another left.
- 5/5
The Staff were all very helpful and the hotel was clean and comfortable.
- 1/5
Dirty rooms. Unhelpful staff. Checked out after checking in and went somewhere else. They charged me 1 night stay as a penalty.
- 5/5

- 5/5
The Staff was very friendly and helpful accommodating or changes and odd schedules. They were really great and the hotel rooms were nice and clean. I would stay here again.
- 4/5
Clean, modern rooms, nice lobby, Fantastic restaurant, Good staff. The only negative would be the room lighting, rather the lack there of. Two little lamps just isn't enough light. And the USB port were all broken. But overall good property and great value.
- 5/5
Very accommodating! Couple of small issues like the heater didn’t work and the toilets took forever to fill! Shower very slippery! However, called the front desk about heat and maintenance was there within minutes! Couldn’t fix it but the response was fast! Great location for outlet shopping! Nice sitting area! I arrived at 11:30 on two separate occasions as I changed hotels at one point and they allowed me to check in early! That superseded the few flaws!
- 5/5
The check in was quick and easy, the room was clean and they offer food till 12am which is amazing, you might get hungry after a full day at. Universal. They offer shuttles to Universal but I got a Lyft for 12 dollars going and coming back was the same.
- 5/5
Location, cleanliness of room, Tabla restaurant.
- 5/5
Great
- 1/5
We had to change the reservation to someone else’s name and address that was staying with us from out of state. There was a roach crawling on the wall in the room and I had spots of blood on my pillow case. When I brought it up to the supervisor, all he said was “I’m sorry to hear that.” The beds were also extremely uncomfortable.
- 5/5
room was spotless. Very close to Universal studios!
- 1/5
Our biggest issue with this hotel was that it was really cold in Florida for the 30th and 31 January. Our room had no heat. They basically just told us to get more blankets. I requested room service on the 31st while we were out at the parks. No service came. The 31st a maintenance guy came in to fix the heater only to look at it and leave 30 seconds later stating that he needed to get his supervisor and never come back. They finally moved us to a new room . My brother-in-law, who was also staying at that hotel had no heat his entire day. They did not offer to move him to a new room.

I arrived at about 10am with check in being at 4pm. I asked for early checkin when booking but understood if it was not possible. We waited in the lobby till a room was ready about 4pm. The lob y is very clean and restroom close and very clean. Room was very clean. Older but clean and comfortable. Smelled nice too! Tub was a little scary as I could hear and feel the slight cracking as i turned i. The shower. Very clean shower though! NO BODY SOAP. Only Shampoo and Conditioner. Sink area had Lotion. Beds were comfortable. Sheets were warm and clean. Air conditioner was ok. Room door could be upgraded. I felt at any time someone could just kick the door in. I could see sunlight around the door so bugs could come in and i could hear everything outside. I just kept a towel on the floor. Food. I did not expect the entire place to be INDIAN FOOD. It was great but i was surprised that was the only option for the majority. I didnt eat at the restaurant. I ate at the cafe for breakfast. Cheese omelet and bacon. Very good! Coffe good too. My daughter had pancakes and waffles. Excellent! Cafe staff WONDERFUL! Rooms
- 3/5
I didn’t like that the room next door spilled water and it came into my room. And I had to kill a roach in my room.
- 5/5
We stayed on New Year's Eve for one night just before moving over to a Universal resort. First time staying and we were quite surprised. The hotel was booked solid but it was very efficient, everything was clean, the room was surprisingly nice, given the price. We could actually walk over to Universal by going over the Portofino and picking up the garden path to City Walk. Super convenient. We also ate dinner at Tabla and were VERY impressed with Indian food. It's absolutely worth eating there.
- 1/5
I was not allowed to check in because i live locally
- 3/5
It was OK. Nothing more; nothing less
- 1/5
The bathroom is bad .
- 4/5
It was clean and the staff was nice. Oh, I didn’t realize when I booked it, it did not have elevators and with having a back problem walking the stairs was a bit difficult for me
- 3/5
I know for the price you pay, this is what you get but you should probably clean the hallways more or at least not have the guests put their towels outside the doors..when we left there were lots of towels by room doors even sheets down the stairs. Hotel needs a lil more cleaning.
- 3/5
The rooms were extremely clean, that’s it. The beds are old and the springs hurt. Our rooms were facing I4, so noisy.
- 1/5
Beware of fake reviews!!! It was an old hotel, the beds were OK, but the part I didn’t like were the bugs/insects (spiders, cockroaches, toilet bugs, etc) in the rooms. Our shower didn’t drain - 6” of standing water that took >1hr to drain. Also, I booked 2 Queen Beds, but they were smaller (double). Hotel policy is also not to clean rooms during your stay - they have a big sign at check in stating that. They also said the pools temporarily closed, but it’s clearly been out of commission for months with broken cinder blocks and no water.
- 5/5
yes, all was clean and nice
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 5/5
Loved it out here
- 3/5
bathroom door stuck as it was so warped... you could tell they “tried” to update the motel… took a “ photo copy” of our visa and license”? um. who does that anymore ? will be making sure i’m not charged for anything else. a little sketchy .. hotels keep your info “on database file” for extra charges. will we stay again? probably not with so many choices near universal.
- 2/5
However, the front desk service was the worst I’ve experienced. After a long day with an early flight the following day, we were met with loud guests in the courtyard - screaming, speaking loudly & washing their hands in the fountain. We could hear them over our TV & air conditioner. It was late and our child wanted to sleep, so we called the front desk to report the noise and the agent said “okay” and hung up on us while we were speaking - she did not offer to do anything about the noise. We called back 15 minutes later and she said she would send maintenance to deal with the loud guests, however this was never done. We had to wait another 45 minutes for the guests to go back to their rooms before we could sleep. If the front desk staff had not been so unhelpful and rude, I would have given this hotel a better rating. But if you’re looking for somewhere to sleep after spending the day at the parks, be prepared for a lot of noise and staff that do not care about your comfort.
- 5/5
This hotel is really nice. Clean rooms, beautiful room and bathroom. Our adjoining room door was not working so we called the front desk. The maintenance man was there in seconds. The food in the cafe in the lobby is DELICIOUS. The lobby is beautiful too. We would stay here again. The buildings are two story so there isn’t an elevator. Not a problem. The cafe is open till 12am. No buffet breakfast, but believe me I’d rather pay for and eat delicious food.
- 4/5
It’s a nice hotel and I’d give it 5 stars but they don’t change your towels or clean your room during your stay.
- 4/5
The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. The staff were very nice. We brought our dog and he loved it as well. There was plenty of room for him in the suite because there is a whole other room for him to roam. There were areas outside to walk him which included “clean up” areas with bags and a garbage. The only negative was that the hot tip wasn’t working. We will definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
The hot tub and pool were closed. Housekeeping was limited. No free breakfast. However I love that there was free parking and shuttle buses to and from universal studios and islands of adventure
- 4/5
Perfect!!
- 1/5
No pool or hot tub available. False advertisement on amenities. There should be a notice when booking if these are not available. I would have cancelled and booked elsewhere if I was notified in advance. No room cleaning, no re stocking of coffee pods or other basic services. On our check out day they had maintenance workers power washing directly outside our room from 8am onwards. Extremely noisy and ruined our time to rest before a very long travel day. Would not stay here ever again
- 3/5
No breakfast. Has to be bought if you want breakfast. There store is not Americanize.
- 3/5
Towels and sheets had some stains on them. as well as some hairs imbedded on them. I’m not too particular with these kinds of things however being that there was only on request housekeeping they could have made sure of that issue a little better. Other than that everything was clean and it was an overall good stay for the price i paid.
- 2/5
Always grateful for a place to lay may head, just giving y’all a heads up when considering these amenities.
- 5/5
Staf kind
- 4/5
Also no ventilation in the washroom.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, great cafe and restaurant on site. Extra linens and room supplies available upon request. Parking was free. Great rates and shuttle service to parks. Would recommend.
- 5/5
Clean, smell good and beds were comfortable
- 4/5
Good service, clean rooms, and very good and affordable food. Would recommend.
- 3/5
The wall is very thin, so you can hear everything in the other room. Next to me a lady just kept arguing and swearing at their roommates early in the morning. I was out from 8:30am to almost 4pm and the room wasn't yet cleaned. The gym is very limited, but like any other hotel that's what is expected, but one of the few equipment they have was broken (the bench press one). The pool wasn't available due renovations, but it was cold anyway. Overall I had a good experience. Is right next to Universal Studios. Is a good option if you just need a clean place to sleep and shower. And the price is fair for what they give.
- 3/5
Housekeeping is limited. Meaning not at all.
- 3/5
Was too small for 6 people an one bathroom
- 2/5
Don’t
- 5/5
Inexpensive rooms and very close to Universal!
- 3/5
I stayed for 2 nights and it was okay. There wasn’t anything special about it. The bathroom could’ve been a little cleaner, but the water pressure and temperature was great. It’s like 2 blocks away from Universal which is very convenient.
- 1/5
Booked for the pool and hot tub. Both were closed for repairs. Asked to cancel so we could go elsewhere and was told it was non refundable. Front desk stated city walk was “accross the street”. It was a 20+ minute walk at a brisk pace. Room and bedding were dirty. I have pictures of rusty screws on the ground on side of bed and chunks of moldy debris and a hair on top of bedding. How hotels.com rates this an 8.0 is beyond my understanding.
- 4/5
Convenient location if visiting universal studios orlando.
- 4/5
Renovated rooms make an older motel style property seem a bit nicer. Beds and pillows reasonably comfortable, room had plenty of towels but they’re quite small and thin. Would stay again for a competitive price.
- 5/5
Good hotel for the price.
- 2/5
I'm upset because the hot tub and pool wasn't available. And that's the sole reason I picked that hotel.
- 5/5
Everyone and everything was great would love to return there to visit and stay again ❤️❤️❤️❤️
- 3/5
Clean but dated
- 5/5
Great as always!!!
- 1/5
I changed my stay to this hotel instead of my previous stay across the street based on the reviews which were definitely not accurate.
- 2/5
Toilet did not flush in our room. Strong smell of pot around the area. We decided to not stay after checking in and instead drive 6 1/2 hours back home. Will pick a different hotel next time.
- 3/5
For the price point, the hotel was disappointing. Parking costs extra, the breakfast is not great, and the rooms are a bit run down.
- 5/5
Nos quedamos dos días, aunque estuvimos pocos días nos gustó la estadía acá. La atención a la hora de chequearnos fue rapida y todo bien explicado. Las habitaciones estaban muy bien, cómodas y espaciosas: Lo recomiendo!!

Discrimination against locals
- 5/5
Friendly staff and clean room.
- 1/5
The hotel was disgusting. Staff was very dismissive and rude when we brought our concerns to them.
- 2/5
During check-in around 11 AM, the front desk receptionist was extremely rude. He didn’t greet us, seemed annoyed the entire time, and responded to basic questions with attitude. When my wife asked about the pool hours, he snapped that it was “on the paper” and then told us the pool was closed and that if we went after hours we’d be charged—followed by the inappropriate remark, “which I don’t think you can afford.” This level of disrespect was shocking and completely unacceptable.
- 1/5
The pictures were a lot different than online. Had a bad first impression. In the middle of the night, I woke up to go to the bathroom. Saw a rat in my room! I couldn’t literally sleep that night. In the morning, I could see the rat had made a nest under my bed. Went to the front desk first thing in the morning and the employee did not seem to care or bat an eye. I wanted a new room and they said they were completely full. I could not sleep in that room the next 2 nights. And they wouldn’t refund me because I’d booked on Expedia. Eventually they did give us another room which I throughly inspected. Seemed fine but really would never stay here again. All 3 employees I spoke to about this didn’t seemed shocked there was a rat in the room. I’m sure it’s a common issue and definitely wouldn’t trust their many restaurants there
- 5/5
everything was great!!! the hot tub cuda been hotter! and the pool is not heated. but the bar and restraurant were good. and right across the road was universal studios. family loved it!!!
- 4/5
Nothing great lol Did what it need to do
- 3/5
Room was slightly mildew. Food was expensive and dinner was just ok.
- 5/5
Pretty nice for the cost! Very cheap to stay here during EDC. The Tabla workers were also very kind and accommodating toward vegan diets. The man working at the Tabla express kindly special made a vegan veggie burrito for me.
- 5/5
Room was nice and clean, and the staff was helpful. Can't beat the price for the location

Nice clean property and the staff was very nice. Try the dinner in the Indian restaurant on site, it was amazing.

Room was clean & mattress was comfortable. Interior (courtyard) area was nice, but exterior (parking lot) was not well kept. Also, I was upstairs on the inside, so the walk to/from the room with bags was a trek. Would stay again as long as the price was competitive.
- 4/5
well when the room was on the 2nd floor and no elevators and i have a scooter and the room was changed and security escorted me to the room cause it was dark
- 5/5
Excellent service, the hotel was very clean and beautiful, and pleasant.
- 1/5
Couldn’t check-in till 2 hours passed check-in. I called the front desk to try get them to do something to make it right and they hung up on me and never called back. Service at the cafe was horrible and I seen a roach crawl by while I was waiting on my food.
- 1/5
They have a fine print in their hotel policies banning Florida locals. If you are a local steer clear.
- 3/5
Cleanliness of rooms , smell spices in lobby area.
- 5/5
I like reasonable
- 5/5
Nice place to stay loved the room and pool area staff was great
- 4/5
Very conveniently located near universal. Lovely little hotel with very friendly staff. Has a pool as well as an attached restaurant which looked divine. Beds were a little hard for me but that is a personal preference they are not unsleepable. Would absolutely stay again and next time will definitely be trying the restaurant!
- 4/5
Exterior was a little suspect when we pulled up but pleasantly surprised the rooms were updated and clean. The check in staff extremely friendly. Didn’t use the pool but looked nice, zero entry and pool furniture appeared newer and in good shape. Overall for our 1 night stay and cost, it was perfect.
- 5/5
Great place for the family to stay and go to Universal. Very clean and quiet. Got a room upgradew when the original room had an A/c that would not come on. Pool and hot tub nice and clean.
- 3/5
Extremely disappointed the curtains don't actually close in the room. Other than that, the room is exactly as advertised.
- 4/5
The room was clean and comfortable.
- 4/5
Only thing i can say negative about my stay is that we requested extra towels on our 3rd day and they never got delivered but it was easy enough to just go grab a couple more from the front desk. Overall good and successful stay
- 3/5
This is our second time staying here & the stay was great minus the pillows. For some reason they use tiny square pillows instead of traditional rectangle ones.
- 4/5
Nice hotel for the price point. Pool and hot tub were great and heated.
- 4/5
No microwave in room
- 5/5
Clean
- 4/5
I liked that this was walking distance from universal. The staff was very curt when checking in. Online it says breakfast available but it’s just a small cafe where the staff again were curt and the coffee was not good.
- 5/5
Everything was great! The room was clean and everything worked well. I love the larger shampoo/conditioner/lotion attached to the wall. The beds are very firm, so if you prefer that, you'll love this. Close enough to Universal Studios to walk to (about a mile).
- 5/5
Nice hotel. Near universal so very convenient. Only issue is you can hear all outside noise when you’re in the room, which I guess is to be expected being pretty close to main roads. Staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean and did not smell stuffy.
- 4/5
This hotel offers a quiet atmosphere and very clean rooms. Very convenient location to theme parks. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The free onsite parking is also a plus.
- 3/5
Great room for the price having a six person suite. Check in is at 4. Never got a room until almost 5. Next morning the housekeeper we past room and I asked can I please have 2 extra towels. Was told had to call front desk and ask, i informed her that the phone in our room was broke and didnt work. She continued to tell me that she can’t give me towels because i need permission from front desk. I didn’t know needed permission for extra towels when I am paying for a room. So overall. The beds were extremely comfortable and room was clean and spacious for my family. Kids even had their own room.some staff members need to learn customer service a little better
- 4/5
Clean room
- 5/5
The entire place was clean and welcoming. From the lobby to the restaurant and cafe, to the room. Staff was very nice and helpful. The food at the hotel was great! The indian coffee was delicious. Very close walk to Universal and a few other places to eat. I would defiantly stay here again over the near by hotels.
- 2/5
The gentleman checking us in was very rude.
- 4/5
The shuttle service is convenient. Only downfall for Epic last pick up is at 8:40, they should add another later slot at least if it closes at 10p.
- 4/5
the fridge was not working
- 5/5
Good location near Universal CityWalk. Because the path makes a big L and crosses a pedestrian bridge it took 25 mins each way. Hotel and staff were great. My 2 little quibbles were that the room doors are not self closing and could be accidentally left open. And when taking a shower the bottom of the bathtub was slippery. But good property at a good price. Would definitely return.
- 5/5
Clean, friendly and good customer service.
- 5/5
Good for one night stays
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Clean room. Plenty of towels. No extreme road noise. We were able to check-in early.
- 4/5
Super clean room, good place to stay, but I wasn’t aware that it was a motel until I got there.
- 5/5
- 5/5
Everything was great!
- 3/5
The staff were lovely, good location to the parks, very good Indian restaurant with value for money dishes. There was a shuttle service to and from Universal studios which was very convenient. The room was clean but the AC was leaking. There were wet towels out side the door and the leaking went down onto the stairs so as you walked down the stairs you had to dodge water falling on your head or clothes. Not pleasant but also dangerous as someone is likely to slip and fall. The room's front door had a gap so you might get visitors coming under the door and greeting you in the morning. I understand, it's an old hotel but perhaps needs a few updates now.
- 5/5
Quick service
- 3/5
Grounds and rooms were pretty clean but needs maintenance. Best of the hotel is the Thai/indian/asian restaurant and bar located in the lobby. Ask for Ayeu. She’s great.
- 3/5
The room was ok however there was no microwave. And outside it smelled like sewage water… there was a leakage and it smelled really bad.
- 5/5
The rooms were comfortable and the shower was good. Plenty of towels available in the room also. I would happily stay again.
- 5/5
We always stay here when in town.
- 5/5
Great services
- 3/5
Didn't have a microwave in the room, no pictures on the wall as displayed & the toilet ran after every flush
- 4/5
Not within realistic walking distance and it’s by i4 so it’s loud. However, the rooms were clean, the staff was kind and the location was till convenient.
- 5/5
Excellent, staff very friendly, clean
- 5/5
Easy to walk and staff was friendly
- 4/5
Check in was a bit slow but only because their computer system was slow. Front desk attendant was courteous and knowledgeable. It’s not the best hotel in the area but it’s not the worst. It’s decent enough. I would return.
- 3/5
The bathtub is not safe, it’s slippery. It’s a hotel for sleep only.
- 5/5
Nice property, clean rooms, great staff, convenient location
- 5/5
First time staying here for Halloween Horror Nights and it was a great place to stay and close to the park! Definitely will be staying here again next year!
- 5/5
Great property. We had a good sized suite which was fabulous. Clean and well maintained. Wish we had spent longer than one night.
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable
- 4/5
The hot tub and pool are nice! The rooms were relatively clean and everything worked properly. Very close to universal parks and they offered shuttles to and from.
- 3/5
Water pressure was terrible.
- 5/5
Room was simple, but clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful when answering questions. I would stay here again and would recommend it.
- 5/5
I stay at this hotel *every year* when I go to HHN. It is incredibly close to Universal. Rooms are consistently clean, the beds and pillows are very comfortable, and the service is excellent. I love the new cafe they opened in the lobby building which is conveniently open from 6am - midnight every day. Breakfast was fantastic! I never have an issue finding a parking spot. I never have an issue with noisy neighbors. I will continue coming to my second "home" every year!
- 4/5
It was conveniently located to where I needed to be.
- 5/5
The breakfast was delicious.
- 5/5
Overall, good value for money. Not great if you’re looking to spend all day at hotel but a great place to stay if you’re trying to spend most of the day at the park. The bathroom was small though.
- 5/5
Ok
- 5/5
- 5/5
Great place to stay
- 1/5
There's roaches.
- 5/5
The staff was amazing.
- 5/5
Hotel had awesome amneties on site. Very responsive staff when you called for something working hot tub and pool compare to many days inn that hardly works
- 5/5
We stayed here before it was pet friendly and right across was Orlando studios.
- 4/5
The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable enough for a motel mattress. There was a small fridge in the room that kept drinks cold. The employees that I had contact with were friendly. There was a cafe in the lobby where I was able to buy breakfast each day. There was a shuttle bus to and from Universal and Universal Epic every day, which was super convenient. I did not like that there was not a table or chair in the room. The only place to sit was on the bed.
- 2/5
The room did not have a door even though it said 1 bedroom. The pull out sofa was horrible. There were people wandering around the property that looked sketchy. The doors open to the outside. It’s a motel and didn’t feel safe. I just wanted to leave asap.
- 3/5
Properly was clean front entrance door to the room you could see outsice commode was low to the floor there was no room service not even for trash otherwise ok
- 2/5
If you want to the clean your own room, take out your own trash, then yes make reservation. Breakfast is15% off your price, so no free breakfast. The rooms are too dark. The good thing about this hotel is that it is in walking distant of Universal Theme Park.
- 3/5
The only downside that I experienced here is the terrible customer service experienced that I received from the guy in the registration desk early morning. I went to ask a question about check-out procedure and he told me to wait for the next person in-charge to ask my question. What the heck! He can answer the question himself but instead he told me to wait for the next person in-charge that morning. I understand that he might be tired working all night and don’t want to answer my question, however, his response is terrible.
- 3/5
The staff was friendly. The linens were clean, the pool was clean, there is a decent gym and the parking is free. The building needs to be refurbished. The A/C units leak water that leaves puddles in the outside hallways. The carpeting on the inside of the room is stained and needs to be changed. I can see they are trying. It is a good place if you're not spending too much time in the room. .

Amazing
- 5/5
Great choice. Close and friendly to Universal Park
- 4/5
The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant at the hotel was amazing! The only thing keeping me from giving a 5 star is that although they stated we would get room cleaning after the 3rd night, we never had our used towels removed.
- 3/5
Good for the price
- 5/5
It was great clean and quiet
- 4/5
The hotel is located near universal parks, you can go by walk 20min or by shuttle. Some gym machines didn’t work. Everything else was good, you have lots of restaurants near the hotel and also a shopping center.
- 3/5
Hotel was great except beds. TOO HARD! Back and hips hurt really bad each morning.
- 4/5
While the hotel is older, the room was very clean and the linens were clean and soft towels. Only thing I missed was having a chair to sit on. Door sticks and needs to be looked at, had some difficulty opening the door each time I used the pass card.
- 2/5
It is conveniently located for Universal. However, the door to enter the room was clearly broken into. You could see where a crowbar was used to pry it open. The other room had a hole where a lock once was. I was glad it was not just me and my daughter because I would not have stayed.
- 2/5
The chairs and table were sticky. The sheets were clean. The door to the room would not fully shut. We stacked our luggage against it.
- 4/5
The pool was nice. I really liked the garden setting courtyard. The bed was a little hard but not unreasonable. parking was tight but manageable. Close to good restaurants and shopping. and right across from the gate to Universal Studios Florida.

- 5/5
We love staying there and would definitely come back.
- 4/5
The rooms and pool were clean, the hot tub came in handy after a long day at the theme park. The shuttles to the park was the main reason why I booked here, however the times were either too early or too late so wind up taking Uber, good thing it wasn't too expensive because of the close proximity. I do recommend updating their furniture though. Other than that it was a decent stay for a weekend trip.
- 1/5
Didn’t arrive till late, approximately 12ish. 20 mins after getting into the room and laying in the bed a bug bit my girlfriend in the back of her leg. Still waiting for a refund.
- 2/5
Very neglected rooms. The feont door looks like it had been broken into. The bathroom door you have to push hard to close (noisy when people are trying to sleep). The shower on/off nozzle is broken the drain is detached. The water pressure was great. The beds are fairly comfortable. The floors were dirty/sandy.

The rooms were very neat and clean, the pool was clean too. Do recommend it to anyone looking for budget friendly place.
- 2/5
There was a big cockroach in the room. Main door had a big opening letting in all kind of creatures.
- 3/5
It was fine. The pool is small and the gym is a joke. Staff don't do checkups unless its to kick you out.
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Very pleasant hotel. I only had 2 gripes. 1.) the doors wouldn't close inside the room. The closet door and bathroom door. But they seemed to be doing renovation so I didn't really think to much about it. And 2.) the guest shop attendant was giving me red flags when I was asking about prices like she was heckling with me. Other than that it was very pleasant. The cafe they have there is amazing and the hotel was clean. Front desk guy was really nice. And you could see they were taking care of the hotel like painting and fixing things. Price was great and I would definitely stay here again. Wasn't there for the theme parks but it was really close to them too.
- 4/5
The location was great and the rooms were clean. We appreciated the free parking
- 1/5
Checked in and left within my first hour. Not as pictured and very unclean. Felt very uncomfortable in the room. The front desk was very nice and offered to change our room but I couldn’t stay. I am still awaiting a refund
- 2/5
Bed was very uncomfortable. Lumpy pillows. Bathroom fan was so loud. Only options for AC was on or off. Given a room in back of hotel next to very noisy highway. Long black hair came out of “new” and supposedly clean towel.
- 4/5
Great location. Comfy bed. Older hotel. No girls just sleep and shower and close to park.
- 4/5
It was nice. We have a great time. But recommendation is to include shuttle to airport option.
- 3/5
Hotel is average, no real perks other than closeness of Universal. We stayed for 1 night to attended a local concert. Clean and close to major theme parks.
- 5/5
Absolutely amazing staff
- 5/5
Great hotel that is clean and has friendly staff. Restaurants on site are excellent. Hotel is situated in walking distance to Orlando International Premium Outlets and a short bus ride to universal.
- 5/5
The staff was kind and helpful, the hotel was well taken care of and clean.
- 4/5
Good
- 5/5
Easy check in, friendly staff , clean and great location.
- 4/5
The staff overall was wonderful. They try really hard to make your stay comfortable. They held our luggage for almost the entire day while we went to Universal. Everything was right where we left it. The hotel is older, more of a motel, but was kept clean. The pool was fantastic! I would stay here just for the wonderful pool. Now for the couple of things I was a little disappointed with. On the door the gym is listed as opening at 6 AM. I set my alarm nice and early and headed over to the gym. Unfortunately, it was locked. I went up to the front desk and was told it doesn’t open until 8 AM. I basically begged and begged and he said there was nothing he could do. I came across another staff member who was wonderful enough to open the gym for me. The gym was barely air conditioned, and all the equipment is super old. The bike was missing all the knobs needed to adjust the seat and one of the pedal cages. It had all the basic weight and a couple of treadmills. That is probably the one part I was most disappointed in. They have a really nice Indian restaurant that has Thai food as well. We were so excited to go eat there, but Unfortunately, it closes between lunch and dinner. The little café inside the hotel is quite convenient and nice. The prices aren’t bad either. Overall great stay here. Very happy and would stay here again due to the excellent pricing.

shuttle bus to park

Decent property. You get what you pay for, will stay again in the future for sure. Super close to Universal City Walk!
- 5/5
Absolutely beautiful all hotel areas, best customers assistance
- 5/5
Staff at reception very professional and friendly.
- 3/5
Not that bad
- 5/5
This property was very clean, close to Universal (within walking distance) and has the Outlets for shipping within walking distance as well
- 5/5
The property itself is really close to universal. On our first day we actually walked to the park just for fun and it was really easy because of how close the park is. The way they run room service is on the third night before 9 am you can request to have your rooms cleaned. All the interactions with staff were positive. Everybody was super nice and friendly. They also have discounts on the restaurant located on site. It’s pretty quiet here too. P.S there’s a local bunny that roams the front yard at night.
- 4/5
This hotel offers an excellent location to Universal Studios. Very quiet and clean. The staff were pleasant and polite. There is a restaurant and small cafe on site plus a small gift shop
- 3/5
Our room was situated right next to the air conditioning units, which were extremely loud all night. A young couple were riding bikes and yelling late into the night. One of the ladies at the front desk told us we didn’t need to book the complimentary shuttle to Universal, but the driver was not impressed that we hadn't booked. She also seemed annoyed like we were disturbing her day. The lady who we first met at the hotel was very pleasant, friendly, and helpful, unfortunately we didn’t see her after check in. It is only a 25 min walk to Universal, so it wasn't far to walk back late evening when it was cooler.
