Everything was great, especially for the price point. Location required renting a car, but we were in town for a graduation in Berkeley and popping across the bay frequently.

I had a great experience staying at Holiday Inn Express in Oakland. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was polite, friendly, and very helpful throughout my stay. One of my favorite parts was the complimentary breakfast…it had a good variety of options and was a great way to start the day. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

Parking wasn't an issue as we had taken a taxi to get to the hotel.

Decent place to stay on an overnight layover. Security of the area made us feel comfortable.

The pool did not open until 10:00am. If check out is at 11:00am why is the pool opening so late. Parking was not indicated that it was a separate fee, $20.00. It said something along the lines of, self parking available. The room was shown and stated that it would either be with two queens or a king and a lounge chair. The Holiday Inn Express in San Jose paired their King with a loveseat bed that slept one.

The breakfast was good. I appreciated how well lit the parking lot was. The proximity to the airport and highway made travel easy.

I liked that the hotel is directly across from the airport, and that a shuttle was provided. The complimentary breakfast was very tasty . I did not like that there are no restaurants, or markets near the property. There is no place to eat is you arrive after breakfast.

You guys really need to purchase a new van. The driver was excellent, but the Van is old and raggedy. Safety issues Rooms were nice.

Overall stay was okay. Shower water pressure was extremely low. The staff was friendly and helpful. Daily housekeeping, which I loved. Easy and convenient parking, there was a daily fee so be aware.

The parking you have to pay for $20 a day, they didn't mention we can park along the street. First time at this holel. I thought that they were going to clean our room, empty trash, get clean towels but when we got back to the room none of it was done. I called front desk and they told me that I had to let them know 24hrs notice to have room service. I wasn't told that when we checked in. Another, was on breakfast it was 9:15am & I asked that pancake need refill & told me all done with bag. It was me & someone waiting but no luck, refill bag can be refrigerated but they told me breakfast ends 9:30am. At other Holiday Inns i stayed at I never had this problem even close to breakfast ending. I wouldn't stay here again. Service & staff don't go out of there way for GREAT SERVICE.

It was clean There was a charge for the shuttle for the airport, there was a charge to store my rental on the lot. I stayed in a room above the lobby and at 4 am-8am I heard constant opening and shutting of the shuttle which woke me up out of my sleep since it runs every 30 min. This hotel wasn't cheap shuttle should've been free or at least mention that when booking.

My coffee maker has cleaning clemaicla in it that mixed into my coffee. They replaced it however when I complained to the GM she responded after 5 days then implied I was lying. I kept the original coffee maker in the room to verify. They do not take your concerns seriously and will stonewall you.

The property was very well kept. One of the reviews mentioned it was a gated parking lot which is not exactly true. It was more like a automated barrier that went up and down to allow you in and out. But still, felt very safe and secure here. No airport noise was noticed even though extremely close to airport. It was in a great location close to everything I wanted to be close to. I'll definitely look for this property when I come back to Oakland.

The hotel is really close to the airport and the Park N Fly. It’s very convenient. Also, they provide breakfast and to go bag. The staff are nice and very easy to check in. They do charge $20 parking for one night. I would stay here again.

Location, it’s right next to the airport. The sheets had stains in the first room they gave me. The shuttle cost 10 dollars and it should be free because it’s a 3min ride to Oakland airport. No one cleaned my room the entire time I was there. Also, one of the “clean towels” had a stain on it.

The location The first room I was given had ants in it and I let the front desk know. They did move me to another room and when I came back from my event my daughter noticed ants in the second room we were given. My card on file has been overcharged for parking and when I called the hotel to inform them of what happened the front desk person basically wasn’t trying to hear what I was saying and just kept telling me she only sees a charge for $20 for parking but there’s over $27 and some change taken out of my account. I will never go back to this hotel.

Upon my stay arriving late and driving as far as I did, I had no time to really observe my room get dressed and leave. I actually had to leave right away. I informed them that my AC was not blowing out and I have to take care of it when I get back. Never have a moment to use the bathroom until I came back to the hotel later that night the entire bathroom rink of mildew. I can’t stand it. So be tired and having to change rooms at almost midnight was overbearing.. The staff were decent. They did change my rooms which was better, but this is not a place that I would choose to stay or ever stay again. It’s just say no to me. It was like a motel six I thought it would be more cleaner given the fact it is close to the airport, but that’s not the case. . It’s just looked too basic and dirty for me. The carpet needs to be pulled up and thrown out along with some of the furniture..

Got an email that accepted a request by me, but no such request was made? Phoned staff on-site, Staff, which was very helpful, could not tell me how the request was made. Not a big deal, just a computer glitch? Hopefully hotel computer system is not at risk of losing customer information.

The insulation in the building was so thin you could hear everything around you-- people walk down the hall upstairs, the people laughing two rooms down, etc. They also charged me $25 for parking as a guest of the hotel. I thought that was an unnecessary fee. The staff were nice, the breakfast was decent, but I'd probably choose another hotel next time.

The shuttle from the airport was easy and the driver was friendly. The young woman who checked me in was also friendly and efficient, and my room was clean and quiet. We chose this hotel because it was close to the Oakland CALIFORNIA Airport and had advertised a 24 /7 shuttle. My husband and I are 76 & 75 years old and needed a 3 am shuttle for a 5:15 am flight. It is very conveniently located by the OAkland airport and the Alameda Coliseum. The hotel itself is very well kept, everything looks in great condition not outdated. Terrible first night take a shower come out and notice bugs crawling on carpet. Told front desk they said we will put you in another room no questioned were asked which i thought was strange. Wake up the next morning in new room get ready to eat breakfast bugs crawling on table beneath tv which i recorded on my phone. Went to front desk to file complaint man at desk says there’s nothing he can do it’s the season for bugs. So i requested corporate number to file complaint. Talked to corporate filed my complaint was told i would receive i call back before end of the day from someone in corporate but that never happened the hotel front desk called me at around 12 noon to let me know that they are going to move my stuff to another room or put it in the office and check me out if I’m not back by 1:30pm. Terrible first night take a shower come out and notice bugs crawling on carpet. Told front desk they said we will put you in another room no questioned were asked which i thought was strange. Wake up the next morning in new room get ready to eat breakfast bugs crawling on table beneath tv which i recorded on my phone. Went to front desk to file complaint man at desk says there’s nothing he can do it’s the season for bugs. So i requested corporate number to file complaint. Talked to corporate filed my complaint was told i would receive i call back before end of the day from someone in corporate but that never happened the hotel front desk called me at around 12 noon to let me know that they are going to move my stuff to another room or put it in the office and check me out if I’m not back by 1:30pm. I had no choice but to let them move it to another room. Which i don’t like people touching my things.

I had to pay for parking. It was noisy. The lady at the front desk was rude as all hell she wouldn’t take my out of state permanent disability registration for the my rental I had they had their company Hilton vehicle in the breezeway so we couldn’t park and unload our luggage the whole time

The area nearby is very run down and rough neighborhood, but the hotel area seemed refreshingly clean and safe.

When I got to the room the sofa bed did not have bedding my son went to the front desk they told them they would send it up. Bedding did not get delivered called and they said go back down to get it. Next morning ask for shuttle to airport we set it up ( driver was horrible), horrible attitude.

Conveniently located next to the airport and rental car return area with designated shuttle service. Shuttle driver and front desk is A+.

The location of the Holiday Inn Express Hotel was perfect location from the Oakland International Airport. The only discomfort I witness: The Express Hotel didn't have Brochures of variety pamphets for their quest! I think the Hotel needs Vendors Machines instead adding food items onto their bills.

It was standard Holiday Inn Express. The receptionist seemed baffled, took a while to confirm our reservation, then gave us a key that didn’t work.

Close to airport

My wife and I left with a horrible rash all over our bodies from the sheets not being clean. The shower was filled with hair and the drain was plugged up for two days before a maid arrived to unplug it. Never again would we stay at this particular Holiday Inn express

Room was spacious and clean with coffee maker, fridge, microwave. Bed was comfortable. Cons: blow dryer was terrible and the Dove body lotion was completely watered down. Could not use either of them. EV charger was also inoperable. Breakfast was mediocre but coffee was good!

The hotel was okay but I found the location a bit inconvenient for a first time visit (not the hotel’s fault). It is good for a short visit or transit as it is near the Oakland airport. The breakfast was good and it is considerate that they provide bags to carry food items. They also have coffee 24/7 which is great. However, the staff could have done better in communicating during check-in that they do not clean rooms daily unless guests request. I came back late at night to find an unkempt room that was stinking of my take-out leftovers from the previous day’s dinner that were still in the bin.

containers of body wash, shampoo,conditioner, hand wash. Liked the window treatment with both black out shade and light shade. The room had everything I needed.

There was a silver fish in my bed so I requested room service to get new sheets. I didn’t get new sheets until the next day.

The front desk was not polite to check me, and she was not patient with my question. I feel so cold when I came to the hotel.

NO ON-CALL SHUTTLE SERVICE Our flight left at 5 a.m., so we needed a 3:30 a.m. shuttle which this hotel used to provide. NOT ANYMORE. Today is June 16, and the earliest shuttle was scheduled for 4:30 a.m. I'd already paid for the room, so we had to get an Uber for our ride the next morning. Staff was great. No chance to try the food since they don't serve early enough for our departure -- I've known this from other stays. This will, however, be our last stay at this hotel since they don't provide shuttle service for the very early travelers such as we are (we stay overnight in Oakland when we have a super early flight).

On my way to the hotel, I call to let them know that I was running late for checking at 3:00 p.m. A gentleman answer the phone and he was very rude. When I reach the location a young lady was at the front desk very friendly very nice very welcoming and I appreciate it, after a long trip I was ready to relax and she made it very welcoming for me.

I m just unhappy about my uber driver that couldn’t get out of the gate. He called on the speaker several times they didn’t help right away. I gotta scream out to make the front desk hear me. Seemed like the gate wasn’t working properly. Overall it was a great stay.

Great for one night!

I was allowed to check in early. The room was clean, large & upgraded. Staff was friendly. I missed the free breakfast, but coffee was 24 hrs & fresh ground beans. Very welcome when taking the shuttle at 4:30 am! Pleased with shuttle service. Very convenient to the Oakland airport - 10-15 minutes. And it was quiet despite being so close to the airport.

Room was very cozy. I was very tempted to steal the pillows! However , I do think a parking fee is quite ridiculous as there is no where else to park and the conditions of Oakland. That is an unnecessary money grab.

The manager was very kind. When she found out it was our anniversary she sent some little goodies to our with a very thoughtful note

The screen was broken that led to mosquitos in the room. Construction noise started at 6 am. Horrible experience of holiday inn!

Staff were very welcoming. Room was clean as was the bathroom. No complaints here. 2nd time booking this place. Great place for stay at for concerts.

Everything was great except the only issue I had was the fridge in the room ran way too cold and froze all my food and drinks and the temperature dial was not able to be adjusted. So the food we brought was ruined or unable to be eaten while we were there. Aside from that staff was great and the location was great.

I continue to come back because the service is exemplary and everyone that works there is professional and I will always come back, because this is a nice place to stay.

The room next to mine on the ground floor got robbed at 10 pm last night - they smashed through the window. There is NO SECURITY and though the staff was excellent at accommodating me by moving me to the second floor, I am traumatized as a female traveling alone. Not safe. NOT SAFE.

The hotel personnel charged me for the room even though it had been prepaid through Expedia. My credit card was also charged for multiple airlines tickets.

Easy and complete checkin. A recent change in staffing resulted in lack of early morning airport transfer. Competent and friendly staff made Uber reservation, hotel paid for transfer. It arrived as scheduled and our timely early departure occurred without incident or delay.

The listing doesn't mention that the airport shuttle costs $10. Not cool.

Great 1-night stay before flight out of Oakland Airport at 5:20am. All was quiet, and I slept great!
