The parking and the lady in the office (Pati) were the best two things on that property. The housekeeping lady did have the bed made, but they give one wash cloth, two drying off towels and a step out the shower towel. I shouldn’t have ask for a roll of toilet paper when the room was just cleaned. They should mop the floor in the restroom, and the room smelled of cigarette smoke. The furniture was broken and very outdated, the mattress had a sink in the middle of the bed, the tv was ghosting on all channels and we had to call because they were not trying to give us the room. It was very deceiving that the pictures were not accurate with the room we received. For some reason they said we did not have a reservation on their end and they did not see it until we made a phone call which was hard to make because we could not obtain a number to reach Hotel.com.

Stayed in room 107. Wow. This room isn’t advertised on the internet. I didn’t know The Harris had a suite. It felt recently renovated, new, very clean. The AC didn’t work well, only working at times, but other than that, it was a great, large, clean room. Everything was very clean. Thank you to the owners of Harris Motel.

The staff/owners are nice if you are nice to them. Respects begets respect. My room was clean as usual.

While many consider this a so called bad neighborhood, I am familiar with the neighborhood and it is very convenient including a shopping center, medical clinic and planet fitness walking distance from the motel. There is a black owned sports bar next door and for people with transportation, other commerce is one mile away and San Leandro, a very nice suburb is also a mile away. Satellite TV has a lot of channels. I was put in a smoking room without asking my preference. The wifi didn't work. My room wasn't clean. The property is old and the toilet was broken.

I called ahead of time before booking to ask if I had to leave a deposit, I was specifically told I did NOT need to leave any deposit which is why I went ahead and booked. Once I arrived I was told I needed to leave a $100 deposit, when I told the clerk I had called ahead he got an attitude and told me he didn’t have time for this and proceeded to cancel my booking. Extremely rude and hostile, would never go back there again.

It was fine for a room to crash. Very large room. Not noisy right next to the train tracks it was clean and spacious The TV didn't work and there was nobody available to help until midnight and the manager still couldn't fix it and just walked out of the room.

The hotel room was clean but it had its downfalls such as burn marks in the comforter, ammonia like smell in the bathroom, and the water from the shower looks like it was going under the foundation. Unclear directions on check ins as well.

Absolute most uncomfortable stay I’ve ever had. The front desk agent was rude and non informant. The door to my room DID NOT close completely nor lock efficiently. Even requesting a different room desk agent shrugged her shoulders like she couldn’t believe that was my complaint. Overall highly recommend staying severe anywhere but here. Especially if you have children or pets.

And the noise comes from the busy street that's all. I recommend staying here also the bed are comfy. I stay with my 9 year old daughter.

I used to really like it here but it seems the owners are only our for money and they don't take pride in traditional customer service. They come off nice at first but they can become not so nice about any little thing they dont like. Not sure if I can keep going there. it's just close enough to me and my spouse's jobs

The guy is a liar and very rude. When I originally dropped a friend off there to get a room he told him it was $165 so we left to get money and as we went to the bank we decided to look on this app to see if there was a place. We found a room here for $83 and when we returned to show the booking he was annoyed and said “I can’t help you because we only have double beds available so no room for you there isn’t any rooms available.” Granted my friend lost his cool because he was tired, it was cold, and he just wanted to lay down. His customer service is disgusting even when I tried to be a voice of reason and not disrespect him he disrespected me by calling me a liar and shooing me away and turn the lights off on me. I showed him the booking and all which he replied very snarky “ call Expedia and they’ll find you another place or give your money back I’m not helping you!” I would never stay here if this was the last Place on earth excepting customers.

didn't get to stay but the staff are very nice and clam, the attendants of the accommodation were all professional and curtious very welcoming....I would give this place a try just because I wanted to interact with someone who is a good stuward and attentive to detail

The headboard is a mirror. Its great and I find it hilarious! The bed wasn't exceptionally comfortable, but it's pretty standard for how much the rooms are. Definitely recommend this place though!

Harris room was awesome, better than higher-end rooms. I travel a lot. Neighborhood is not great, but most hotels in Oakland the areas are what they are. Once inside best around.

Nice staff. Asked for new bedding and towels and hotel manager was accommodating. I extended my stay and I had to keep getting the room keycard updated even on days I had already scheduled. Requested housekeeper to clean the room while I was working one day and that didn't happen, but asked later and got new towels

I realize paying $70 for a motel in Oakland is the very definition of getting-what-you-paid-for...but damn, there was a half used soap bar left in the shower. The room reeked of smoke, and didnt look like it had been properly cleaned in a minute. We only stayed overnight en route to the airport, so it filled that need, but just barely. Nice enough lady at the desk, tho.
