Best Western Plus Novato Oaks Inn

Very nice staff, good breakfast (croissants were shockingly good), comfortable beds. Our only issues were small. Different parts of the room had very different temperatures. Plastic cups a bummer. Ran out of shampoo. But really none of that detracted from the stay.

Breakfast buffet was great, with fresh fruit, eggs, sausage, potatoes, toast, muffins, yogurt, bagels, etc. The room was like new! We were pleasantly surprised by the value. No complaints at all.

The staff was outstanding. They went above and beyond to accommodate us. Check in time is 4pm, which is a little late, but the staff went out of there way to get are rooms done early for us so we could attend a concert we were attending.

There was a weird burning plastic smell in the room but it was better after opening the patio door. The fan on the AC wouldn’t keep running so it would get too warm in between the compressor kicking on.

After we checked in (two rooms x 4 nights), we were told the rooms would not be serviced the first night due to lack of cleaning staff. Then after the second night the rooms were still not serviced. When we advised the front desk, they said they would make a note, but did nothing to correct the situation. We complained to two different staff members the third morning. No one even apologized. The third night we found the rooms had been serviced. Management of this property has deteriorated.

I loved everything about this hote!l Clean, comfortable, spacious rooms with a wonderful king bed. Free on-site parking. Delicious breakfast buffet included. Located north of San Francisco just south of the Napa and Sonoma wine country. Beautiful Mount Tam is nearby. Mount Tam is a wonderful scenic drive just a short distance from the Hotel.

We specifically called ahead and booked this hotel for the pool and hot tub. After we checked in I walked to see the pool and it was closed under construction repair. The staff was great and they checked us into a different Best Western that had a pool and hot tub for the next morning. So all I can say is the outside of the hotel is beautiful looking at the mountain side through our back window was not very pleasant just an unkept dry mountainside. If they took care of it a little bit it would look much better. One thing I found interesting is that it was renovated not so long ago but it still has single pain windows. Again the staff was great but we could not swim the first day.

The staff was wonderful the room was clean but I wasn't happy with the noise from the street I was on the lower floor facing the parking lot so it got pretty noisy I advise the next person to stay there too ask for a room away from the parking lot the bed was wonderful I recommend this place very highly except for the noise in the parking lot I would definitely stay here again I didn't like being on the lower floor next to the laundry room and the parking lot with the noise

Front desk staff was kind and helpful. Breakfast staff and house keeping was wonderful and very conscientious. Impressed by the quiet and level of comfort that this inn provided. We are hoping to return so that we can enjoy the pool which is currently being renovated.

I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast and the convenient early and late opening hours. However, my son was bitten multiple times on his arms, back, and legs by a large insect or mosquito. Despite moving our room, the damage was already done. They requested that I send pictures to the manager, but I never received a response. I wish they had done more to put me at ease, but overall, I had a pleasant stay with a hot shower and a super comfortable bed.

Renovated modern clean spacious room, blackout curtains, comfortable bed with extra pillows - plenty of hot water for my nightly therapeutic bath, excellent service in breakfast area and many breakfast options- friendly professional staff and a fabulous gym with upscale equipment!

The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. There were chocolate chip cookies available for us. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The grounds were serene and quiet. The breakfast was a generic. The eggs were a bit strange. There was a lot of chlorine in the hot tub.

The breakfast was good, as usual and the location is very convenient for me. I had to switch rooms twice because the first 2 rooms smelled so badly- like mold and mildew. The layout of the hotel is confusing and the front desk clerk became quite rude when I asked her for help to show me my room. I have stayed here many times alone and with my son. There was a ln issue with billing on my stay before last, the hotel’s fault, and I was told that I am not allowed to stay at the hotel anymore. I was completely shocked, and still am and honestly cannot believe this!! I think this is violently unfair!

Breakfast was typical for a hotel that provides breakfast. It was clean and easy to manage. What I really liked was the room. Everything I needed was in the room. Enough outlets and towels. There was an iron/board in the room and a hair dryer. It was simple and lovely. In addition to the small fridge was a microwave and the coffee maker was a K-cup machine. I was able to easily turn the air conditioning off. I do not like a room without the ability to get fresh air. The windows opened, and that was a huge plus in that I like fresh air when I sleep. There was some noise one night from a group that was in the room below me. It shortly ended after I called to staff to ask about it. If I need to stay in the area, I hope this place has vacancy. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.

The location is excellent-- easy access to 101 and 37. The staff is professional and friendly, the hotel and rooms are very clean-- it appears to have been recently remodeled. The first morning I found the coffee in the breakfast area to be really weak, but it was fine the following morning. The rooms are comfortable and quiet!

Husband had to go downstairs to lobby to talk to representative to find a battery which they didn’t have but got one eventually out of an empty hotel room. If I’d been alone there was no one to fix it or figure it out on duty. Very little sleep was had that night. Breakfast not as nice as some other best western places. Nice quiet room other than some noisy guests at all hours.

Lobby area was updated and looked nice but the rooms were very average. Beds were hard and uncomfortable and ac blew directly into the bed by the window. Bathroom only had a single sink and shower had a curtain instead of a glass door. Water pools on the floor during shower. I did like the cleanliness of the shower room. It seemed like that part of the bathroom had been redone with new tile and caulk which I was very thankful for.

Wonderful place to stay close to San Francisco. Very clean, newly remodeled, great relaxing pool and ping pong in the back. Felt like someone’s backyard so quiet and personal even right off the free way. Would very highly recommend for a super nice place to stay for a good price.

One night stay as we are attending an event nearby. This is one of the best best westerns I have stayed at. Large clean rooms with strong air con. Pool and hot tub and a decent continental breakfast the next morning. Property also has a couple of ev chargers as well for those who need it.

Can’t say enough good things about this hotel. Exceeded expectations. Very clean. Convenient location. Easy drive into San Francisco and Muir Woods. Felt very safe. Big room. Beds comfy. Pool and hot tub clean and enjoyable. Staff very courteous and responsive.

We liked everything about this stay. Great room, staff, breakfast, parking, luggage carts, location. Very comfortable and good value for the relatively low price for Marin County. The only thing we noticed that fell short was that the cleaning staff had to share the smallish elevators with the guests making it awkward and they had very big unwieldy supply carts. They were very pleasant and gracious.

We visited Point Reyes and the iconic Golden Gate Bridge from this ideal location. Our stay was a lot of fun!

Like this hotel. I asked for a quiet room and am very close to the breakfast room and a conference room that had a meeting this evening. Hearing the clapping didn't really bother me. Hope the breakfast room doesn't wake me up early tomorrow morning. I can sleep until 8am. Could have asked for a room more down, but didn't. The room is nice and clean and the bed is comfortable. I also appreciate the large screen TV.

This is a really nice hotel. The rooms are huge. The front desk staff were really helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet had fresh fruit, unsweetened apple sauce and whole wheat bread. All healthy choices.

The freeway could hear from room at night. The freeway sound dusrupted my sleep.

But the bed’s mattresses were terrible! They were very hard and uncomfortable! And the bathroom door had to have a door stop or it would slam shut! Very inconvenient every time you go in and out! Also one one light and fan in the bathroom that one could not be turned off without turning off one or he the other! No safe-lock for your valuables either! But there is a nice restaurant right next door and a pool but hot tub was dirty and lukewarm.

My review would have been five stars for everything but, I was unable to take a shower because the water temperature was scalding and you couldn't get it cooler than that. When I called the front desk about it, they said there was nobody available that could repair it until the next day after I checked out

Our stay here was wonderful! They made checking in so easy and were accommodating for any of our needs. The breakfast was phenomenal and perhaps one of the best breakfast I’ve had while traveling. You can tell the people who work there take pride in where they work and its shown with how great every second there was.

Novato Oaks Best Western is comfortable and reliable. It is a good neighbor for Pacheco Valle by supporting a meeting place for our Firewise annual event.

I have stayed at this hotel a few time while visiting family. I have always been pleased with my stays. The overall feel for me has always been that the facility is very well maintained and I have always felt very comfortable.

Given the terrible weather when we arrived, the hotel and adjacent restaurant provided a welcoming respite. Staff were all attentive and helpful. Room was spacious and well presented. We would definitely stay there again.

Great location for us to be close to family in Novato and Petaluma. This was our second stay here and it has been great both times. Check in was fast and efficient. Rooms were very clean and quiet. Breakfast was very well managed, always clean, and food/drinks restocked quickly. We will stay here again on our next visit.

The hotel is lovely and in a great location. Our room was big and we had a nice patio. There’s a restaurant next door with good food that’s open late. The staff were terrific and they had cookies available for guests.
