Homewood Suites by Hilton Charleston Airport

Super impressed with this hotel, everything was clean, the pool area was nice, good selection for breakfast, the rooms are spacious, clean, and the beds are super comfortable! All of the staff that I met were super nice and helpful. And they have late check out which was wonderful, no rushing to hurry up and get out. I would highly recommend!

Nothing Pool wasn’t open the entire three days, staff had no ideas if/when it would open. Water never got hot in the room. Sink was leaking. Staff not really friendly or helpful.

Whole overall service and cleanliness was pretty good, the overall condition, at least in out room was no where near to Hilton standards. There were missing knobs on the drawer in living room. It looked like Edward Scissor Hands or Freddy Krueger tried to open the microwave, handle all scarred up and missing finish. The TV cable in bedroom was ripped out of the unit. The drapes had rips and holes in them, and frayed on the end. Carpet and furniture looked well worn, and could use a refresh. Again, while the common areas were nice, and the staff was excellent, the overall room was not very impressive.

We needed and paid for a 2 bedroom suite. When we arrived they had assigned us a two queen room. Sherry took care of us by giving us an extra room at no charge. The rooms were spacious and clean. The breakfast was delicious. The pool was nice.

Thereafter, I thought my checkout date was Sunday May 10, 2026. I was out all day and only returned to the hotel on Saturday May 09, 2026. to pack and exit by 0800hrs on Sunday May 10, 2026. Meanwhile, the desk clerk stated I needed to be escorted to the room to see if my property was still in there. The supervisor Penny Scott told the desk clerk he couldn’t leave the desk to help me. I asked would I be able to book an additional night. The desk clerk quoted an alleged price from Penny Scott that was almost double from what websites wanted. He also stated one gentleman couldn’t help me because he didn’t know any English (why does anyone need to know English to observe one get their property?) So we had to await the driver who was located at the mall driving the shuttle van. I did an email about my experience at the start of this hotel visit. The desk clerk that exhibited exceptional customer service is Tyliyah. She explained all the unknowns and the availabilities in the hotel. She explained to everyone. Thanx.

Lovely and helpful staff throughout whole property from front desk to maintenance to breakfast. Stayed in a 2 bedroom and found it very comfortable/well equipped.

One air conditioner wasn’t working, bathroom running all night long. Got bite by bugs in one of the rooms. After switching rooms, one of the room air conditioner was leaking the carpet around that area was completely wet. I’m satisfied about the overall stay. Homewood Suites in North Charleston could do better with the garage. I had to tell the front desk clerk that I want the garage cans dumped after two nights. This is why I ranked the “cleanliness” as average.

Staff had excellent customer service skills. They were accommodating, friendly and helpful. The only downside is that the rooms and furnishings needs updating ASAP, my stay was short so it didn't bother me too much. If I'm ever in North Charleston, SC I would definitely stay there again.

The staff was excellent, very helpful. My only complaint is I requested a handicapped accessible room and they didn't have one, so I had to adjust, and the only restroom was downstairs on the 1st floor, and I was on the 5th floor.

The pool was down due to construction majority of our stay but were able to use the pool of the sister hotel next door. When the actual pool opened on our last day, it was very enjoyable with outdoor chairs and nice and big beach towels that the hotel provided for use. We did have housekeeping tidy the room mid way through our stay and she did a wondeful job. Clean, comfy beds and hot showers.Would highly recommend for comfortable, family stay, at an afforable price 👍

The location was awesome for a show at the performing arts center. (5 minute drive) The breakfast was good, but mostly the beds were great. It was also nice not to have to check out until noon as most hotels are 11:00 am

It was the perfect spot for our girls gymnastic trip the two bedroom suite was great! Clean and had lots of space. The shuttle was perfect to go the conference center. I also loved the fitness center.

Lots of updates needed, parking lot entry was difficult to navigate, better protocols to address customer issues (i.e., maintenance issues), could be cleaned better. The hotel had a "system" issue with my credit card so even though the room was paid for, we couldn't check in or get our keys until the issue was resolved. The airport shuttle was reserved when we checked in but not available at the time requested. We arrived at the airport 1/2 hour later than planned.

We were pleasantly surprised at how great the room was for such a reasonable price. Breakfast buffet was great and the facilities were safe and convenient to our events. Would definitely stay here the next trip to Charleston.

The staff was very polite and helpful. There are many options for food and the Tanger Outlet is several blocks away. My only suggestion would be to place new mattresses in the unit we stayed in.

I encountered some issues with the check-in and the initial room charges, but the front desk clerk, Sheri, got it all squared away! She should be commended. The rooms should have more than one trash can, and there should be stopper for the kitchen sink.

My room request was not met. The room had dirty furniture.There was no room service. Management didn’t address the problem with concern. I have booked with Travelocity before and this is the first time I had a really bad stay. Want stay there again!!!

We evacuated from sarasota due to hurricane Milton. This was unplanned yet it was very much appreciated. When we arrived on Wednesday, they had a little social in the dining area with light food and drinks and that definitely lifted our spirits. We stayed 2 nights. Breakfast was warm and good. The noon checkout is lovely as well. We rested well.

I’m only giving an overall poor review because I booked a Suite 3 months in advance and the day I get there they tell me they can’t give it to me cause other people are overstaying. They made it right by giving me three separate rooms in the Hampton Inn across the street, so I give the staff and service five stars but I have to give a poor rating for Homewood for doing that to me in the first place.

Very comfortable room and we ended up having a beautiful river view. Loved the location and ability to walk to nearby shopping and restaurants. Breakfast was good and hotel even had soup, salad, & drinks in the evening which unfortunately didn't work with our schedule but loved the amenities offered.

The staff was kind, and our stay was comfortable. Hallway floors and lobby floors had not been vacuumed in a while and were never vacuumed over our three night stay. We chose this property bc of the kitchen in the suite. The large burner did not work. The furniture and curtains were showing major wear and tear.

Overall good. We stayed here in 2019 and it was much cleaner then don't get me wrong its not unkempt...but its not on the same level as 2019. Showers need a good deep cleaning to get rid of mildew stains, breakfast wa mediocre but edible. Staff was awesome. Overall the stay was good, just need some improvements.

This is a beautiful hotel and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Property was located in an area nearby restaurants and shopping. Only about 18 minutes from historic Charleston. Great breakfast set up. Facility was clean and well maintained. Lots of space in our suite and comfortable beds.

They give you a noon check out then housekeeping comes in your room unannounced 3 times by 10 am, also we had 5 in our suite but were only given 3 towels.

The best staff members work here. Our check in was welcoming and informative. Period. The staff is kind, compassionate, understanding, nice, polite, and just great people. Well worth it. We walked to Tangier Outlets and played Top Golf. Great location.

We were not so pleased with all the insects in the kitchen. I was forced to go out to Walmart late one night for trap and poison to deal with the insects (German roaches?) that were prevalent. I was not happy about this issue.

The place was nice and for the most part clean. The bathroom in our suite had some kind of questionable substance splattered on the wall and the pool area and chairs could use a good sweep. Our room was a suite with a separate living room and we had 7 people so 3 slept in the living room. The air conditioner only let out hot air in there so they were very hot. We told the front desk and they sent a maintenance person in and said it was fixed but it was still coming out hot. We had a big issue with the breakfast staff. Both days we were there the woman was rude to most of our group. There was also a gentleman that made part of our group stop making their breakfast claiming they were doing it wrong but he just wanted them gone, they weren’t doing anything wrong. They were being quiet and waiting patiently but neither staff wanted them anywhere near the food area. It appeared they don’t have many kids stay there at all. The only other children we saw(also well behaved) were treated the same way. They would see a child come off the elevator and immediately start standing guard and treating them poorly.

We loved how spacious the suites were. The staff was friendly and even provided toothbrushes when we realized we left ours in another city

Margaret, who checked us in, was awesome. So kind and did everything in her power to accommodate us.

Breakfast stopped at 10am. Breakfast Staff were not very happy. Didnt give enough towels and had to ask more than once for clean towels.
