Clean room. Staff was very helpful.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. Our room was clean. That we had to pay for parking after paying to stay in hotel.

Rooms were clean and comfortable, consistent with other Hampton Inn and Suites. The air conditioner and ice machine on the second floor were obnoxiously loud. The staff seemed disinterested when another guest complained to the front desk. Staff also seemed exasperated and "put out" when I requested late check out. Finally, I selected this specific hotel as I was hosting out of country guests on a summer trip and they asked for a hotel with a pool. The hotel website specifically advertises a pool, however, the pool had been shut down by the Department of Environmental Protection. Staff at the front desk explained unsympatheticly that the pool had just failed inspection. Staff once again seemed disinterested that the advertised pool was closed indefinitely during peak tourism season in the summer. Very disappointing for a Hilton owned chain hotel that has been consistently above standards in other locations.

There was a string coming from under my door in the hallway when I arrived. The hot water didn't work in the shower. I could see the mattress on one of the beds wasn't made up well.

We had our dog with us and they did have poop cans around the property but the one in the front looks like it has never been emptied. It was disgusting to even lift the lid. The breakfast was decent but it wasn’t what most Hampton Inns usually provide. It was fine for us.

I loved this place. I have sleep problems and between the bed and the comforter I had the best sleep ever. The room was beautiful, super clean and comfortable and the staff was wonderful and made me feel welcomed.

Despite the glowing reviews, our stay felt more like a sarcastic travel warning than a getaway. First came the surprise $14.95 parking fee that had to be paid online after arrival — because apparently checking in wasn’t enough work already. The AC barely worked, and the hot water took so long to heat up I had time to reconsider all my life decisions in the shower. To make things even better, there are no bathroom vent fans, so steam and unpleasant odors just linger like an unwanted guest. The hallways constantly smelled like someone was hosting a 24/7 weed festival behind closed doors, which paired beautifully with the trapped bathroom humidity. And the famous breakfast? The eggs had the consistency of ground beef, the maple sausage kielbasa chunks were awful, and there were no biscuits and gravy — but thankfully, there were grits. Ironically, the best part of the hotel was the workout room, which actually delivered: decent barbells, an incline bench, and an elliptical. Overall, if mystery fees and disappointment are your thing, you’ll love it here.

We were placed in a handicap room and there were lots of handicap acceories in the room and closet that were in the way. The bed was not made when we arrived. The toilet clogged. Told housekeeping about it and they did not unclog it. I had to ask for a plunger and do it myself.

I didn't like that I had to pay for parking. It was even a secured or gated property. They should not charge loyal customers for parking. We were told it is because people would park there and leave it there. I should have parked my car at the restaurant next door cause they don't charge.

This should be an included charge for the room when booked if parking is needed. This will be the last time I stay here if this doesn't change!!!!

The room was at the end of the hall on the 1st floor next to the far exit so all traveling guests could be heard throughout the night. The AC unit only cooled the room if you set it to 60 degrees for a continuous run. The staff was mostly short and blunt with all communication, especially with PAYING TO PARK DAILY EVEN THOUGH YOU’RE A GUEST portion of the conversation at the hotel knowing all along that would a constant concern since they post it nowhere prior to hooking you into a stay you couldn’t change now if you wanted to. FYI, parking is $12/day. Lastly, the food was mediocre at best but great for what you’d expect free breakfast to taste like. Won’t make the mistake again.

The place is decent but what they don’t tell you is they charge separate for parking!! Yes so you pay to stay there and have to pay extra to park there. Such a scumbag way to pinch more money from you. Just horrible. Even though I gave them a 4 star review I’ll never stay there again. I’ll b dammed if I’m gonna part separately to park there. Terrible, But like I said the place was nice the staff were nice ( they gave me a promo for the parking after I complained) and the breakfast was awesome I’m just not gonna be squeezed for parking after I payed hundreds to stay there. Oh and yeah they said it’s new only been doing it for a few months so buyer beware.

The room had some wear and tear-holes in walls and scratches from people hitting it with their luggage or luggage carts. Bathroom counter and sink were very small. Besides those things, we felt completely safe and comfortable. Parking is $14 plus a fee (via a QR code), but that's pretty decent for the area. Hotel was close to downtown, while not being as expensive, which is why we booked it to begin with. Breakfast was good, especially the sausage. They even had chicken sausage one morning. Staff was all amazing! Very nice and friendly.

Wasn’t able to switch my stay after a booking overlook , very disappointed , money loss. Mislead by Expedia agents , hotel uncompromising with the company they work with .

Looked like our room was under repairs. Sheetrock had been repaired and not painted in our room. Needs improvement. Staff were friendly and helpful. Did not tell them our concerns. Beds are very squeaky! We were on 2nd floor.

The air conditioner was not reliable for keeping the room temperature controlled. It would be just right then the room got hot. It was also making noises when it was on like it needed repair. The staff was welcoming and friendly.

I will say, (which I knew this prior to arrival) that parking is not free at this location. It was $42 for my 3 days there. That was the only thing I wished was different. The breakfast was also included in the mornings which was delicious. I’d certainly stay here again, and I hope in the future this facility is able to allow guests to park on their property for free if they are staying there.

The front staff Stephanie was amazing. She helped me work through some issues once I tried to extend my stay. The cleaning staff was very nice and the lady that worked breakfast was so happy and cheerful when you were in her area.

This place is good for a quick stay! Our room was dirty. The faucet in the bathroom was lacking the cold water. The bed blankets were dirty. The hotel was okay and the staff was not very welcoming! The breakfast was good. Overall for the price, I do not recommend. The price is too high and the floor and room was very dirty.

Other than that and the vagrant who refused to leave the outdoor premises of the hotel...It's Awesome!!!! The hotel staff...all of the beautiful black females from Mrs. Krucher to the morning lady and the female holding things down in the breakfast nook were so kind and very communicable.

My room was very clean and comfortable and staff very helpful and kind. However, the elevators were out of service several times during my 3-night stay. Additionally, the fire alarm went off at 5 AM one morning and continued for 30 minutes. It was a malfunction. Also, there was a $14 charge per night for parking, which I must have missed when I booked.

Hotel filthy and loud. Elevators non-functional half our stay. Both of us had breathing problems and rough sleep both nights due to the dust in the room and the place apparently being a “party motel” with running in the hallways and doors slamming.

First they gave us a room where the lavatory flush and telephone not working. They changed to a different room. Around 3 am fire alarm went off. Called fron desk, they said it is due to some water leakage. It alarm sound went on for 15 mins. Next day moring, the elevator did not work. We had to take stairs with luggage, pretty painful. The breakfast was okay, not great.

I am 82 years old, have been a Hilton Honors Member since 1992, but have NEVER had a surprise at checkin as I did here. A surprise $14 fee to PARK MY VEHICLE. What did they think, I would be walking to the hotel. It was not the $$ just the way they went about getting it.. A very deciteful way to keep the oublished room rate lower at 1st sight. I have stayed at HH all over world and this Hampton was probably the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in, just the surprise fee for parking. At checkout this was removed from my bill.......

My stay was wonderful!! Everything was very clean from the lobby to the rooms. The front desk staff was awesome! Stephanie, Nyoka, and I don’t remember the name of the young lady that checked me in on my first night around 6pm but she was very nice and helpful. Our toilet handle wouldn’t flush so I called the front desk and she did not hesitate to change our room. I highly recommend this hotel!!

It’s ridiculous we need to pay for the parking $12 per day! Unbelievable and the front desk said it’s for patrolling the parking area but we never saw not once patrol and we stayed for 4 days! Hot water shower not really hot and there’s no pressure the room smells kinda funky not clean smell and there’s a hole in our shower curtain. Not staying ever again. Terrible

Apparently there is a huge ant problem in parking area, we checked out only to find our whole car was infested with ants…definitely pissed about this. There was not enough towels or rags and the shampoo was empty when we checked in. Food was good, could have had more of a variety.

The shower had no pressure and couldn’t be adjusted to spray properly. The facet in the sink is so close to the edge you have a difficult time rinsing your hands.

The guest doors slam loudly. It started just before 7 am and went on for the next hour. I was awoken far earlier than I had hoped to be. Otherwise good location near restaurants. Good price for the night.

The service is excellent. The room was terrible! It was dirty, the tv didn’t work and the lights kept going on and off.

When we checked in we were greeted with the greatest amount of joy and kindness by the representative checking us in. When we received our keys we went up to our room and was instantly greeted with a smell that was pungent and very unpleasant. I looked for the source of the smell and found Black Mold in the closet area. Myself and my wife exited the room immediately because it was giving both of us a tremendous headache. I went down to the front desk and informed the receptionist that there was a pungent smell as soon as we walked in the door and I showed the representative the pictures of the Black Mold in the closet. The breakfast was delicious and the eating area was very clean and well maintained. Overall I’d give the stay a 6 out of 10.

Clean room and great breaky selection. Check in was smooth.

The housekeeper need to say to the hotel supervisor or inspector when have problem. Toilet with flushing problem and clogged shower. If the cleaning lady isn't selling this, it's because she's not cleaning properly. I have cleaning experience.

The rooms need updating. The bathroom needs caulking (doesn’t cost a lot); wall paper wall peeling especially around the toilet and the ceiling was peeling room 202

Brief stay...the room was not as clean I woudl think most hampton Inn's were. If I have to ever stay in this area again, I will not be choosing this hotel.

Pool was NASTY green and when we tried to look at it the lady at the front just yelled across and said "the pool is closed". Just seemed a bit aggressive. Also, our toilet wouldn't half the time and our hot water took for everrr to get warm. And really those pillows are garbage. The lobby was nice though! Ps. The area is super sketch.

Ice machines didn't work, vending machines have been removed. Forced to buy from lobby store where drinks are $4 a piece and price manipulation. Pool was closed and dirty. Breakfast was good and the room was clean.

The staff at the reception were genuinely kind and caring. I felt well taken care of when I shared concern about my son coming in very late. They reassured me! This hotel was so clean and welcoming. Great location for easy highway access.

The staff was fantastic and helpful each time we needed something which was greatly appreciated. Overall, I would recommend this for a budget stay if you just need a place to sleep and shower.

The entire visit was comfortable very comfortable. And the breakfast bar was excellent.

The pool was filthy

Pillows are the size of cotton balls. Suspicious brown substance on the exterior entrance to men’s restroom in lobby. See pictures.

I had no problem parking. Of course, this is when I stayed. Mornings was very busy getting back on the main road turning left.

Booked a king size bed and given a room with 2 queens. When asked to move, I was told that the move was made because theTVs were out in four rooms. So no kings were available. They did not offer to adjust the cost

Tried to give us a queen bedroom when we booked a king suite. Had to wait to get in the room. Microwave was hanging on wall looked like it was going to fall off . Pocket door to bedroom wouldn't open. Parts missing. Faucet in bathroom was not attached properly. Lobby was dirty and elevator where dirty. They sounded like they were going to break. Really disappointed in this Hampton inn. We've stayed in so many this one was the worst one. TV was gone out of the suite part.

This hotel was easy for us to get to and check-in was so easy. The entire staff was very accommodating. The only criticism I would offer is that the entrance from the road to the hotel is adjacent to the driveway for the neighboring building.

Easy and comfortable place to stay for a quick trip to North Charleston

Our room’s carpet was stained in many places. The bathroom had a piece of baseboard broken off and laying on the floor. The conditioner container had broken off the shower wall and was sitting on a shelf in the shower. The shampoo container was empty. Also, it took forever to get hot water in the shower, to the point I thought it wasn’t coming. We were only there for one night, so it wasn’t worth addressing these issues or trying to find another room. Bed was comfy, and that was all that really mattered to us on this trip.

I really enjoy the easy access to Charleston-downtown. I didn't like the fact that it was noisy at 0600 while I was there: slamming of the doors & people shouting!

Just appreciated the quiet, clean pet friendly area for our stay. Traffic could be a challenge at times getting in and out of the parking. But overall it was a great time.

Alot of places to choose from

The only thing that was a disappointment was the fact that I had paid months in advance for a jetted tub and when I arrived I was then told it wasn't available, it was under repairs. Although, the room they gave me was nice I really needed it for my back and shoulder. There wasn't anything offered like a complimentary stay at a later date or a partial refund.

Really nice hotel that is about 20 min from downtown Charleston. The room was great, clean, and spacious. The shower was nice and clean. They had a nice free breakfast. It is pet friendly and they have free parking. The area around they hotel seemed fine, just other hotels and a few restaurants. It is right off the highway which takes you into downtown Charleston. Overall this hotel was reaklly good.

The pool was not in service and the pillows were pretty small. But all in all we enjoyed our stay here. Very friendly and welcoming staff. We arrived hours earlier than our reservation and was handled with care and taken care of as soon as it was convenient. Thank you Hampton inn team!

Staff gets thumbs up all around

The elevator was so noisy and we were put right next to ut. The room was excellent but the noise from the elevator was all day and night as expected from normal use. Either fix the noise or don't put anyone in that room. 421.

Close to everything and staff was awesome

The staff were great, the hotel itself just isn’t very comfortable. The bed was so uncomfortable we did not sleep well. The shower had very poor water pressure.

Property had homeless living outside the hotel property and made my family feel unsafe leaving.

It’s a great hotel with excellent staff, that goes the extra mile for their guests. The location is amazing and close to where I need to be.

Our stay was pretty good for the most part. The Hampton Inn was nice , the staff was SUPER friendly and the room somewhat relaxing, most of our stay. VERY heavy traffic and highway noise around the property was annoying at times. Loud motorcycles ,trucks , and ambulances at night while we were sleeping woke us up at times.Then when we were going places we could not believe how bad the traffic was to get to the highway or around to the numerous stores and restaurants.The free breakfast was average , but we still were able to grab a bagel and some juice.If you decide to stay here be prepared for a lot of traffic to deal with and highway noise at night waking you up at times.I will be choosing a different Hampton location next time we visit Charleston SC.
