The bathroom felt quite dated and is in need of a refresh. Additionally, we experienced issues with the central air conditioning; it wouldn't regulate properly and stayed on high. We had to constantly manually toggle it on and off just to maintain a comfortable temperature in the room.

Nothing Stayed here during my son’s soccer tournament in Charleston and had a very disappointing experience. Despite paying a high price, the room was dirty and the AC didn’t work. Maintenance was unable to fix it, and we were forced to sleep in an 80-degree room. Housekeeping removed our towels but failed to replace them. After nearly two hours of back-and-forth with the front desk—who initially told us the hotel was sold out—they came at 11 PM, when my family was already asleep, to offer another room. The situation was handled in a rude and unprofessional manner. Overall, the poor service and unacceptable conditions completely ruined our stay. Very disappointing, especially from DoubleTree by Hilton. I would not stay here again.

Upon arrival the front dance reception was not friendly or welcoming at all she seemed annoyed that we were interrupting her day. Although the room was small it was very well kept and clean. Surrounding areas were very well clapped and clean the first day room service was great the second day when we tried to order room service dinner they did not have a server so I had to go out and get it the bartender was amazing it was just him and he was really helping everyone out they need to give him a raise I’m sorry I don’t know what his name was but I would not stay here again because the overall reception from the beginning to the end was not great even the last receptionist when I checked out was very dismissive

Airport shuttle services were great, loved the dinner at their local lounge. Most of the staff was friendly, except when I called for the shuttle on Sunday March 29th around 1:40. A male answered the phone and I asked about having the shuttle pick me up, he was rather rude about it. Other than that, everything was great.

The room was clean and looked sharp. Cookies when we checked in were tasty. The lobby was nice. I used the Fitness Room twice.

I found the staff to be good hotel rooms themselves are carpets are dirty sheets weren’t really clean. Definitely need some help in that area not having the pool area opened or any of the chairs accessible when it was sunny out was a mess and it should have more time at the bar or keep the bar open from like noon with one person.

Shuttle service to airport, bar/restaurant were great. Room facing the highway was VERY noisy after 10 PM. Sounded like we were next to a raceway. Thin walls meant loud children and guests were very distracting. TV was too complicated to use effectively.

The area and location. Breakfast was great. The sheets were dirty, good thing I did bring my own linen.

The bar tender was really nice. The fitness center was nice as well. The rooms were really dark and dusty. There was also a large roach in our bathroom. There were a lot of cracks which I’m sure it came from.

The location was convenient to the airport for a very short stay.

Proximity to airport, but not worth the negatives. Way over priced for condition of a clearly old decrepit hotel. Either tear the hotel down and build a new building or lower the price. Also, there was not a free breakfast which was upsetting given then $300/night charge.

Hair in the bathroom drain at check-in and they didn’t clean the next day. When I reported I was told nothing could be done because I booked through a 3rd party. After complaining a third time they sent someone to remove the hair.

The area is going through reconstruction? Renovations? Not sure but could see a lot of small debris in room on floor- so other than that the warmed cookies really makes up for it. This was a very last minute booking and all was well!

I was at double tree and my bed was very hard and desk clerk said to me after me asking do they have another room with a different bed said no so the night I stayed in a lot of pain because I have a medical condition chronic arthritis on my spine. So the next morning I called again to ask them if they had another bed I can be changed to an again they said no. I couldn’t take the pain anymore so I had an emergency and left urgently before check out time. They wouldn’t refund my money back nor give me any credit for my one night stay as a member of Hilton and an owner through Bluegreen that brought out Hilton. I’m furious because nobody can show me in black and white their policy that says I forfeit my money for medical reasons if I leave the hotel. Expedia Double Tree and Hilton has failed me. I will make sure in ratings that everyone is warned because this bad business for anyone being so far from home. Nobody has tried accommodate me yet and on top of keeping my money they rerented my room out making double for the room. This was the worst experience of my life

Majority of the staff were amazing, especially Charlie! I greatly appreciated the shuttle service, water bottles, and delicious cookies! The location and cleanliness of the facility was great. We were here for a conference at the coliseum which was an easy 10 minute walk. Walmart, restaurants, and shopping are very close. The things I didn’t like was walking into the room to see a bug crawling on the floor (they offered to spray the room), the road noise is ridiculous (I had to purchase earplugs to be able to get any sleep), the Keurig worked for one day (I just went down to the lobby to get coffee), and the food was over priced. I wouldn’t stay here again because of the noise (my sleep is very important) but, if that wasn’t an issue, I’d recommend it—especially for a short stay.

They managed to fix the safe and sink after I complained, but the coffee maker took 2 tries before fixed. On our last full day nobody cleaned our room despite us being gone all day which gave them plenty of time.

I had a great stay at the DoubleTree. The staff was very professional, and the property was clean and well-maintained. I especially appreciated the convenience of the parking—most hotels charge ridiculous amounts, but that wasn’t the case here.

Our room was terrible. The air conditioner didn't work well. The coffee maker was broken. It was usable but barely. The shower floor was very slippery and I almost fell. The toilet ran constantly unless you jiggled the handle. For the amount of money that we paid, it was a very unsatisfactory stay.

We were assigned a room that had been taken out of service the prior night due to non functioning air conditioning. Rather than reassign us to another room they provided a box fan at 10:30 pm after sending maintenance to service it. The Maintenance Supervisor informed us that the room had been taken out of service the prior night and there was no way to fix the issue. In fact he wrote it on a huge whiteboard so no one would be given that room!!! It was a very uncomfortable stay the first night. Why they assigned us an "out of order" room I have no idea! When we asked to be given a discount for that night's stay they said no because we booked through a third party (Hotels.com). Very annoying. 🙄🙄🙄

Got new keys, entered the room, only to have the mounted full length mirror fall on me when I tried to open the bathroom door. Called down to the front desk where the receptionist sent maintenance. He cleared a path so we could change to a smaller room. Didn’t even offer to hold the door open while we wheeled our bags over broken glass. We asked for some compensation and were told there was nothing they could do.

I loved the suite - it was great. I would have loved to just sit by the pool with a book, but check-in was 4PM, and check-out the next day was 11AM - precluding the possibility of enjoying that opportunity (without a room key) to allow access to the peaceful pool area. I would stay here again. Your facility is lovely and the suite was so comfortable. I felt right at home. I'm glad I made the trip.

Nicely designed. Breakfast was great. Staff is personable and pleasant. Close to everything. Didn't realize the convention center was right across the street. We could've walked to our comedy show. We booked the last king room. Happened to be handicap accessible. The hotel could touch up little nics on carpet and walls from wheel chairs to keep the room looking nice. The sleeper sofa cushions were on their last leg. House keeping could've taken a minute to actually cover the boxspring with the cover that exposed the boxspring. Over all one of my more pleasant hotel stays. Enjoyed having to closets and walk in shower. Look forward experiencing a regular king room. Good job! This will be my go to when I'm in Charleston.

The sleeper sofa cushions were on their last leg. House keeping could've taken a minute to actually cover the boxspring with the cover that exposed the boxspring. Over all one of my more pleasant hotel stays. Enjoyed having to closets and walk in shower. Look forward experiencing a regular king room. Good job! This will be my go to when I'm in Charleston.

Was disappointed with this hotel. Water in the shower was barely warm and you had to run the water for a long while before it got lukewarm. Service was pretty bad too. Location is close to the airport so you cou hear airplanes taking off.

Stayed for volleyball tournament. Room was clean and hospitality was good. Only issue was we noticed a few stink bugs and hotel pillows are always awful.

Nice comfortable room. Staff was outstanding. My only negative was the remote for the TV was glitchy. Then again we were only there for one night. In spite of that issue, we would stay there again.

Close to expressway was great , but During thanksgiving, front desk stated that breakfast was free on thanksgiving day and when we were eating the hostess came and said we were misinformed and a charge was invoked

The beds felt clean. However, the bathroom floor wasn't clean because I had to wipe something up and the towel became black with dirt. The refrigerator wasn't on & the coffee area didn’t look wiped down. The hotel needs updating.
