    My stay at Comfort inn, North Charleston, SC was aweful! I book for Two days and was awaken on the first morning with water dropping from the ceiling and I brought to Lilly, the assistant manager’s attention. I also told her about a dress that was damaged by the water dripping from the ceiling. She initially stated that she was going to he just she initially stated that she was going to just move us to another room, however, then she came back and demanded that we give her the dress to be cleaned. When we refuse to give her the dress, she told us that we had to leave the hotel because they felt uncomfortable with us being there and longer. There was no clear explanation as to why they felt uncomfortable with us being there any longer. She cancel our following day stay and told us we had to be out by 12:30 on June 13,2026. We were left without a place to stay and the refund would not reflect in our account until about 5-7 days. It was an humiliating situation for us with no help or concern from them. We had a formal event that evening and had to leave, without taking a shower, to try to find another hotel. I called the cooperate office and the were of little help. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

    We arrived late in the evening. After registration was completed and was given a room on the 4th floor was told the elevator did not work. I have bad hips and knees and my partner just had neck surgery. We had to make several trips to get what we needed up to the room. Sent us both into sever pain and limitations. Tried to do laundry but found out after all cleaning products and clothing was put in the machine that both machines weren't out of order. It was a mess. Eddie, at the front desk was very nice and did everything he could. Maintenance could be better. Thrust of the staff was great, Eddie, Ms Lilly, and Chris the cook.

    From the start of arriving had to deal with unruly teens in parking lot throwing fireworks at my daughter. Cops were called. Then to get to the room and find out toilet doesn't flush unless you manually fill with water. Just what we wanted to do after a long day at the hospital. No maintenance team on staff. Just one woman running the whole show. Because i booked through a third party they never wanna deal with any compensation for the inconvenience of a toilet that clearly needs replacing. Very shady area as well. But unfortunately we chose it since it was only hotel with one room available. Says 4 stars but it’s a 2 star hotel.

    This hotel was very clean, it smelled wonderful from the time I walked in. The desk clerk on each shift was friendly and welcoming. The suit was spacious and up to date. Even had a microwave in the room. The price was more affordable than the surrounding hotels. I was very happy with this comfort inn.

    The room itself was clesn but nothing to write home about. There was damage to the back of the toilet seat but i guess since it didnt hinder function wasnt worthy of replacing. They have 1 single elevator for several floors and a couple hundred people we took the stairs. Parking is close and free but not secured.

    Did a google search for this property and the information showed that they allow pets. I would attach it here but it does not allow for attachments. Ended up having a no pet policy and I was out of my money for a night when I had to book something else. I ended up at the Hyatt across the way and it was nicer with really good breakfast. I would just pay the extra from the start now and just go there.

    The pool area was dingy. The carpeting inside the hotel was in poor condition and stained. There was no hot water in the showers. The faucet inside the bathroom was leaking. The gentle maintenance and attention and detail was poor. The staff were OK, but not particularly enthusiastic. Although I wasn’t completely terrible it really does only amount to a two star rating for this hotel. There’s lots of opportunity for them to improve.

    We moved to a different (better) room. The room was cleaner and appeared slightly larger than the original. Breakfast was good. The dining area was nice, roomy, and clean. Some hotel staff were helpful, some weren't. The TV in this new room worked. Parking for military veterans. A different front desk attendant made the (improved) room change for us and mentioned the strategic advantages of the rooms that we could choose from. She also helped us with coordinating our move and was present when we traded in the old key cards for the new ones. Our first room had a door that was misaligned with the door frame/jamb, so it needed a lift force and push/pull force in order to be c;losed. The TV didn't function to get channels - "No Signal" appeared on screen - original remote did not function properly and remote traded for at front desk did not function properly. The block out (solid) curtains were decorative and did not close to block out street lights (in both rooms). The ventilation in the bathrooms was weak and provided no differences to steaminess in rooms and fog on the mirrors compared to not turning on the vent at all. Staff, although nice, was a mixed bag of help. No effective help with the first front desk attendant we encountered concerning the room issues. Inconveniences included: No portal to directly plug in a charging cord for cell phones/devices, the "light" coming in through the sheer curtains at night, and no liquid soap in the shower dispenser system. Also, not much storage room; but we made do... Additionally, the soda pop vending machine only worked once to dispense product. Tried 5-6 times afterward to no avail.

    Our stay overall was acceptable. However, the condition of one of the bath towels was horrible.....worn out to the point of being sheer in some areas. Breakfast was good, I just wish it lasted until 10 am on weekends. The staff was very pleasant and helpful, but it seemed they were short-handed. There were times we had to wait at the front desk because she was maintaining the buffet or cleaning in that area. The location was great for our needs, but I expected a little better for the price.

    Smelled of weed on 3rd floor, very loud road noise, lighting at night from outside lit up room, loud people all night . Very little sleep. Rooms are outdated and somewhat clean, no outside space to enjoy sunshine, hot water was hit and miss, mostly miss. Door lock very loose, staff fixed. Worst Comfort inn ever.

    The staff was very nice and accommodating. Pool was a bit small but for kids it’s perfect. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom wasn’t very appealing. Caulk around in weird places. The hot water was luke warm at best. The door wouldn’t close unless you put all of your weight on it. The ac wouldn’t stay on to cool the room down.

    I have pictures. There were good remnants on the floor as well as money/ change. A shiny dime right by the wall/ fridge area! How could that be missed. As well as the room door in 404 was off track. Would not close on its own. Had to be lifted by the door handle . Very disappointed. I have videos and pictures. I would like a refund .

    I had trash in my room my son and I were staying there for four nights and had extra garbage because we didn’t get room service. Anyway I brought the trash down from the room and put it next to a garbage bin in the kitchen area. I was at the vending machine when the manager on duty came back up to me and said, did you leave trash in my kitchen area instead of taking care of the problem, he costed me and told me I couldn’t do that. It was quite uncomfortable. There’s no hot tub. The whole hotel needs to be just gutted.

    When we went to our first room, a king, the toilet seat was sitting on the side of the toilet. We had to move to a 2 queen bed room as there weren't any other kings. Both breakfasts I had to go to the desk to ask for more yogurt to be put out. She did do it right away. The coffee was out several times during our stay.

    The front end manager was very nice however we paid for a king suite so I was thinking it was gonna be a little nicer than a normal room. Needless to say the couch in the sitting area was filthy. It stained in multiple areas it made the rest of the room look not as nice. Luckily the bed was clean as was the bathroom.

    I paid in advance for 1 day. I got a late start so I wasn’t able to make it there until 11:00pm instead of 3:00pm check-in. I called to let them know I would be there soon; this was at 11:00pm. She told me if I wasn’t there by 2 or 3am the machine would change and I’d have to pay for add’l day. I said that made no sense. I paid from 3pm 12/29 to 12am, 12/30. It seems like a scam to me. ALSO there was NO hot water. I had to get hot water from the coffee area to use to bathe. I wasn’t able to shower until I got to my next hotel destination.

    The wounds were clean and comfortable. The desk lamps did not have USB outlets and the electrical outlet outlets that were on the desk. Lamps were broken and in operable. The bathroom sink faucet had a slow leak. Check-in was impossible due to a computer system shut down. The front desk attendant was very polite and eventually got us into a room without the computer running.

Smell of THC wreaked so bad inside we had to take my wife to ER for an asthma flair at one point. Breakfast was putrid. The other, most obvious illegal activity I won’t even mention as it’s probably not the paid staffs fault. Left early from our scheduled check out date and was promised a refund but of course that has not happened. Avoid at all costs. Ruined our trip to see our son who’s stationed with the military near by.

    Staff was friendly and efficient, however, we saw some who appeared to be ladies of the night both in the area of the hotel and in the hotel. The hallways are in great need of refurbishing, carpet, elevator doors, painted moldings etc. No block out curtains that could be closed in the room.

    I booked 3 rooms for 7 guys - 2 standard doubles and 1 with a sofabed. But they gave us 3 double rooms and had no extra bed, sofa or mattress for one of our guys. Also, we picked the hotel on the basis that it offered a free airport shuttle - but that service does not exist. Very disappointing.

    We checked in around 6:30pm. By 8pm, we were checking out. We checked in and immediately went to the pool. The pool had things floating in it and there was no towels. We went to wash off. After we washed off, we let our infant sit on the floor. When we picked him up, he was covered in dirt from crawling around the room. When we saw how dirty he was, we looked at the bed and there were stains on the bedding. We went to the front desk and he told us that he could not refund us and that it was our problem. He said and I quote “do you always let your baby on the floor? Are your shoes clean enough to eat off of?” While we are typically not picky, and children do get dirty, it should turn our bags, child’s clothes, and towels black. I would never recommend staying here a it is dirty and the staff are extremely rude.

    Good value, staff at check in was brusque, but very efficient and politely mean if that makes sense. He made it extremely clear he had expectations for guest behavior and that was nice to experience. He was not rude, just a bit sharp. I was happy with it. Room had a slight moisture issue leading to a little bit of mold beginning to form on bathroom ceiling, but overall great value for money, I definitely recommend for a good, affordable one night stay.

    Check-in was very easy & efficient. I don’t remember her name while I was at the desk, but I checked in at around 6-6:30pm & she was super sweet & helpful! My partner & I did notice a bit of unclean areas such as the pool though. We also had an issue with the tub/shower drain in our room. We noticed when we turned on the water there were black particles coming out of the drain, and the drain itself was draining very slowly. I called and let the front desk know, but they said it would have to be addressed in the morning & when I did address it then, they just stated the boss would offer a discount or something but never gave much else information honestly. I would also note that there was a bit of a smell in the room but I’m not sure how to describe it other than humidity smell. Overall though, the room was clean, bathroom sort of clean, & very calm and quiet in the hotel itself.

    When I arrived at check in time, the hotel did not have any clean rooms, and a lobby full of people had to wait 30-45 minutes to get rooms. The manager who came in at that time did the best he could and handled the situation with skill and empathy. The prior manager was doing nothing and being defensive and lazy.

The money that was took off was to be used on my trip and I didn’t get it back until after my trip.     I immediately went to the front desk and the gentleman working the front desk resolved this and was able to put me in the room directly below. He didn’t huff, puff or make it seem I was making his life difficult which some front desk help can. Friendly staff, EXTREMELY clean hotel, rooms didn’t smell, elevator washed a few times during my stay and overall didn’t feel I needed to double clean counters etc.

    The evening front desk gentleman was amazing! We had a long trip, arrived late in the evening, and he was incredibly hospitable. The room is a little older and in need of repairs, but it was not bad. The beds were comfortable enough. Cons: We could hear people talking outside and in the room next to us. We could hear their entire conversations. We ended up sleeping with music on to attempt to drown out the noise. We had planned for a late check out since we had arrived so late; however, when we woke up the next morning we found roaches in our room. We got up and quickly prepared to check out. When we told the front desk staff, she acted nonchalantly. She said she'd put my complaint down and have management call me. I have yet to hear from management. I absolutely would not stay here again. It's not just finding the roaches (which is enough!), but the person's response when I told them was just not acceptable at all.

    AC/Heat was fluky - the tiny microwave worked off a master switch at the rooms door. Breakfast was also the poorest and with the fewest healthy options of the four places we stayed at. This road was loaded with hotels - including the first one we stayed at, which was far better in all areas, at about the same cost, and didn't promise a shuttle. I would not stay here again.

    Bathroom doors were sticking and had to force them to open and close - no towels in room waited over 2 hours for them to be laundered, and no floor mat, made for a slippy experience not what we would expect from Best Western

    Overall good stay. We were in town for a fundraiser at Firefly Distillery and this was a convenient place to stay. While they do have an indoor pool, the water was quite cold.

    Airport shuttle was listed amenity at time of booking.checked in September and October to verify, when travelers arrived! told shuttle had been canceled, never notified of that, incurred four taxi rides totaling $110, poor communication, beware if counting on shuttle

    The only issue is the are rug in the lobby it was the first thing I noticed when I walked in. It has stains all over it as if it hasn’t been cleaned.

    Motel is clean and staff friendly. It is an older building. There was a small crack in counter in bathroom, button for elevator on ground floor didn't seem to work correctly. Water took a while to get hot on 4th floor and water pressure seemed lower than normal. Location was easy and close to interstate. 30 minutes to beach and 20 minutes to Charleston.

    Toilet clogged up in the middle of the night, went down to the front desk, no one was there. Called the hotel number. No answer, no voice mail. Talked to the front desk the next morning, no maintenance staff available. The desk clerk offered to plunge the toilet, but instead, I volunteered to do it myself. Got the toilet unclogged, but I was so frustrated, I decided to cut my trip short, so I checked out and didn’t even stay the 2nd night. I will not stay there again.

    Everything was great, except phone into best western inn did not work. Tried calling many times to make sure they were open before we drove over there. After calling the corporate office and telling them the problem the manager called me and told me they were having phone issues since the storm. She called me on her personal phone. She did an excellent job! Y’all better keep her and give her a raise!

    Upon arrival we noticed how clean the area was. The clerk was nice checking us in & made the process quick and smooth. On the way to our room, we noticed how clean the halls were and how good it smelled. We went to our room and it was clean. There was mold on the caulk in the shower. It probably needs to be scraped off and redone. After leaving our things to head out for dinner we stopped by the brochure stand in their foyer. My colleague noticed a roach on the floor. I just stepped on it and we went on. After dinner and the beach we returned and showered. They have really great hot water. They do have a great indoor pool but we were too tired to swim. Those beds were awesome. Looking at them we assumed they would be hard because of the metal frame but they were so soft and we slept so good . The breakfast was good. The breakfast attendant Ms Laverne was so kind and attentive to kept all the areas clean and stocked up. I definitely would come back if I pass through from Greenville SC!

    Very difficult to navigate in and out of this hotel too much traffic plus also they told us you told us that we would have free parking we had to pay for parking plus I did not even get a bill

    This place is very clean. The manager is very nice. The breakfast was delicious. My stay there was quiet. It’s close by restaurants. I’m definitely staying here again.

    The pictures were very misleading. The room smelled awful, like mold. The whole room almost had a damp feel to it, I really don't know how else to describe it. We all had congestion the next day.

    The room was great! Clean and spacious. Night time staff was amazing. The lady was very friendly and got us fresh sheets for our pull out couch. Daytime staff (a man) was friendly but literally demanded proof of us staying there Everytime we went outside to the smoking area. It got a little annoying at time but he said there is sketchy people that come through there so he wanted to be sure we were guest. Also I asked for late check out- like 30 extra mintues and he literally cut me off and was like we are understaff so that's a no and you need to check out at 11. I felt he was a little rude about it. Then he cut our key cards off at 10:59 so I was not able to go back in and get my charger I left in accident.

    Had a smoke dector beeping for 14 hours. I called several times. The mattress was so used up that it had pit near the edge that I kept rolling into. The worst part was the prople who ran the front desk. I prepaid because i didnt know when I was going to arrive but I knew I would be tired from my red eye flight. I got to the counter, gave my name and said that I had a prepaid room. It should have been easy. Instead i got an attitude and was told just because it was prepaid doesnt mean that the room is ready. Then later that night the smoke dector beeping all night. The pool was closed for 3 of my 5 day stay. The food at the breakfast was not good. Only one elevator that takes forever. No onew seems to cate about customer service or if you have a decent stay. Shoulf have known. North Charleston is much rougher than downtown Charleston. Dont waste your time in N. Charleston

    The property did not have any replacement towels for any guests during our stay. We asked for replacements and management told us that they had none. We gave them our existing dirty towels for them to wash, and they gave them to another guest. Inexcusable....
