Bug on the bed nasty

Do NOT spend your money here, it’s literally a roach/insect motel.. Rooms were filthy, ran down, needed to be remolded, no real amenities, lights did not work, dead bugs Everywhere !!! Staff acted oblivious to how the hotel looked.. Then when requested for a refund, manager denied it !!! Bad for business, do not waste your time here… Highly disappointed !!! NEVER coming back !!!

This property is in VERY poor condition. I have many pictures (time coded) of holes in the walls when I checked in, absent refrigerator which was pictured in the original add, very poor cleanliness. The entrance to the lot has 2 very deep pot holes which have had no attention for a very long time. The wifi does not stay connected for more than 5 minutes between drop outs and has no security when connected. I am very surprised that Expedia lists this property on their site.

Bathroom wasn't clean had used soap in the shower, the headboard came off and hit me in middle of the night, sheets was nasty looked like someone poop was on it, kids playing at 11 pm in hallway. Said was a none smoking room that was a lie cigarette burns everywhere. Couldn't sleep well can hear the room next door

It’s quite Service was bad. The room was dirty. No microwave no towels in the room

The people at the front desk were very polite and helpful plus nice I don’t blame them for the lack of respect that the people who work and stay there have for the property I would clean house and then clean up

The conditions of the room was terrible. It was not clean. It was stuff left from the last person who stayed in the room. The sheets were not clean. They had stains on them. My daughter had to shower in shoes because the bathroom was so filthy. After complaining to the front desk she responded with “what’s the problem? What do you want me to do?” They refused to move us to a cleaner room so the very next morning we checked out. The customer service is terrible. The last yells and refuses to help with any issues. There was a couple outside our door who got in a fight and i was scared because i don’t know this area and didn’t know if it would turn more violent and i have my 2 kids in the room. The overall experience was terrible. I would never recommend this space and i will never stay here again.

It convienient and close to home but very wild people all outside and loud tenant’s It was very getto and too man people hanging out outside screaming acting ignorant

The property manager has terrible customer service. Rooms are not what is advertised. Half of the stove works, bathroom and room is in need of cosmetic repairs. Pest control also needed!

Location to the Thanksgiving Dinner! Having towels, soap, toilet paper, pots, Ice trays, and waste basket!

That it has a kitchen and the kitchen is somewhat separate from the bedroom and bathroom. It’s the kitchen and living room together then a separate bathroom and a separate bedroom. Other then that I liked nothing about the hotel and will not be back.. Everything!!! All the way down to the rude people at the desk or office. Who are very very very unprofessional.

The property was fine. I just didn’t like the fact people were just standing around like it was an apartment complex. I asked were there apartments close because of the people hanging out on the stairway and parking lot.

Never got to see the inside of room because the one I booked 3 months prior wasn’t even available. Drove 6 hours to be told at 4 they were cleaning it. Check in is 2. Finally at 6 I realized they didn’t even have a room and no one told me. The area is awful and this was extremely disappointing. Guess there is a first for everything.

DON'T STAY HERE. The pictures are NOT accurate. This is the most misleading listing we have ever stayed in. The floors were slimy, as if they hadn't cleaned the mop water in weeks. Not exaggerating your shoes would slide while standing. We booked a king bed and got two full size that my feet hung off of. The furniture is covered in stains, the fridge doesn't work, half the bulbs were out, the floor was tearing up in places, the wall had been damaged several times and fixed and painted over with a totally different color paint, the list goes on and on. There were locals which looked to be living here permanently and ppl coming in and out non stop and watching us to see what room we were going to and when we left. We took our luggage with us everywhere because we didn't feel safe leaving it. Even the man working there seemed to be more buddies with the locals and no management was anywhere so we were uncomfortable complaining even. This property shouldn't even be a hotels.com partner.

The room was very tidy. Everything was in order restaurants and shopping are also in the immediate area. It really was better than expected

Needed a quick place to stay rooms look amazing from pics but pretty deceiving when u get un them kinda tore up and in the ghetto

Let me start by saying this property should be rated a one star. While there appears to have been some “upgrade“ like a new stove this sweet style motel for what it’s worth has a lot of negative‘s. I will say the only positive was the price because I had to take my daughter to a college orientation and the other places for much pricier but you get what you pay for. From the start the check-in looked like a Bank service stall with the bullet proof glass and you slide your credit card through… There were shady character smoking outside and the entire motel smellEd. The service clerk while he was cordial had extremely long fingernails for a male and did not look cat it was kind of creepy and my teen daughter was terrified. They don’t offer ice and soda vending machines are outside. For a sweet they had an oven microwave and fridge raider which wasn’t even plugged in so it took an entire day to even get cold. The freezer part didn’t even work. There were no utensils or pots or pans so not sure how they expected you to use any of the equipment. There was not one picture on the wall it looks like a prison cell. Bedding was old and the TV was in the living room portion and you couldn’t even see it from the beds. Everything needs upgrading in here. The only thing it was the stove and the flooring. I was extremely nervous staying here as people were outside smoking and talking and late into the evening. The neighborhood itself is not good as well it was very sketchy.

When I arrived, the attendant asked if I wanted to see the room, and I am glad I did before committing to the stay. After walking past four or five men who were hanging around outside shirtless, smoking and smelled of alcohol, we arrived at the room. The room STANK of cigarettes and the bed looked like it had been bought second-hand -- the mattress was concave, it sagged horribly. It looked dreadful, but the smell is what really killed it. The room had been smoked in repeatedly -- every room smelled of cigarettes. I beat a hasty retreat and found another place to stay.

The only complaint I can say with truthfulness is the mattress was very uncomfortable. Other than that it was ok for the price.

The staff checking in and out was VERY pleasant. The room need a little updating - painting and a few screws turned. Overall, especially for the price, things could not have turned out better. They even had a complimentary package of Ramen for us on top of the cabinet!

When I pulled onto the property, I was stared down by other "Residential" guest. I immediately felt unsafe. Then checking in, the area was untidy, very small, and out dated. I expressed my concern and was told I would lose my $ if I left. Needless to say, I wasn't walking away from the $. So I continued checking in, once in the room there was an odor and the overall condition of the room was unkept. There was no 2nd safety latch on the door. The positive was, the room size and the flooring. The rating on the internet was inaccurate and very misleading!!

Not sure if previous review went through but the room was not the way it was stated on your site and was warm to hot most of the time. The reservation was wrong upon check in and had to be somewhat rectified. A normal suite would have utensils and other thing available this did not. The toilet was wobbly and was not fixed during our stay. Even though the air conditioner was on it remained warm to hot the entire time. This is because the part where the bed was located was set back in a separate room. In order to see the tv from bed the whole table had to be moved to the middle of the archway which caused issues with the censor used to change the channel as that cord was too short once the table moved. We did not sleep very well due to the temperature in the room even though the air conditioner was set on 66 degrees. The result of the room definitely was not the way that it was described on your site and we will not stay there again.

My experience was great the staff is friendly and the rooms are clean.

We gave this hotel a try because it is located very near family which we were visiting. It was very convenient, but the hotel was bare minimum. Although it appeared clean enough, it smelled like cigarettes even though it was a non-smoking room. The staff was friendly and helpful; however, a first-floor room was unavailable and there was no elevator - hard on the old folks. Convenience is not enough to return.

Convenient for Christopher Newport University at a good rate. Room was clean and had stove, microwave, and fridge. Probably best for longer stay on a budget. Free parking and WiFi. TV was in living area and not visible from Bedroom.
